the ones in Canada seemingly abide by the required laws as far as I have read.

I just saw that apparently Canadian banks have taken a turn for the worse...
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1y7ln2/cointradernet_canadas_last_bitcoinfriendly_bank/

Seems like we are going to continue to see these kinds of regulation pressures from governments that are forcing banks to shut off these kinds of profitable services.   Though sometimes the banks are likely NOT very excited about Bitcoin - anyhow, and they probably feel as if they can make more money by sticking with fiat.....

"
"basically that means if you have bitcoins and live in canada, you will be unable to sell them on any exchange, even ones outside of the country as the [fiat] funds will be blocked from entering canada."

 Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

shitty i live in canada.

SELL AS LONG AS ITīs POSSIBLE ADAM. NOW!!!! RUN FOR YOUR FIAT!

AHHHH OMG SELL EVERYTHING!

It would be trivial to prove he has the BTC. Why doesn't he do it?

Mark is saying its not trivial because of the intense security measures in place for the cold storage.

Still massive dumps of Goxcoins, seems like people think they are worthless after all

as the poll indicates, clearly poeple have very little confidence they will resume withdrawals as promised.

are poeple trading gox on superior information or emotion... that is the question.

i have no clue what you've all been trolling about, i've been a busy bee..
but CCMF sounds right.
with this new higher low, that bottom is looking solid.
we're seeing a rising price when the market isn't taking heavy fire.

1800$ in 14 business days?

 Grin

Bump

0.01BTC gets you ~35% chance of being displayed.
9509  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 17, 2014, 03:04:37 PM
I like gox's press release.

pretty much exactly what i was expecting

if you missed it : https://www.mtgox.com/img/pdf/20140217-Announcement.pdf
9510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 17, 2014, 04:03:16 AM
mtgox's announcement(s) is not all that important in the long run, but it matters to alot of poeple as a lot of people have funds there... but, i like to think bitcoins fundamentals are FUD resistance  Wink
in any case, i think ~600$ coins is a  good price not buying at the top thats for sure... fully prepared for further dips, always.... but the story that is bitcoin is very interesting to a gorwing nobuer of poeple.....
9511  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 17, 2014, 03:38:17 AM

9514  Economy / Services / Re: Advertise on thebitcoinreview.com - add your banner! on: February 16, 2014, 02:42:42 AM
Bump.

One can see the sites stats here http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/thebitcoinreview.com
Obviously thebitcoinreview.com doesn't get as many hits as bitcointalk... but its also much less expensive.
The first banner put up "BTC Lottery 24" was put up yesterday and has ~3000 impressions / 11 clicks / 4 Unique Hits ( in < 24hours )
You can see these stats here: http://www.thebitcoinreview.com/addbanner.php

your advertisement will never expire, so you will undoubtedly get  a lot of impressions and click, over time, even with a small % chance of being displayed.
9515  Economy / Services / Re: Advertise on thebitcoinreview.com - add your banner! on: February 15, 2014, 05:39:25 AM
my banner doesnt link to my site.....

please fix this?

fixed

you need to put http:// when specifying the link address

i will throw in some input sanitation so this doesn't happen again.
9516  Economy / Services / Re: Advertise on thebitcoinreview.com - add your banner! on: February 15, 2014, 05:32:08 AM
sending btc to advertise with you

thank you
i see you created 2 banners
i will delete the second
also i will remove my "Your ad here" banner, so you will get 100% chance of being displayed until someone else buys some advertisement
9517  Economy / Services / Advertise on thebitcoinreview.com - add your banner! on: February 15, 2014, 05:09:49 AM
Add your banner to thebitcoinreview.com
http://www.thebitcoinreview.com/addbanner.php

Your banner's % chanced of being displayed is calculated as (YourAountPiad / TotalyAountOfPaidAdvertisement) ex. If someone pays 0.01BTC and you'v paid 0.05BTC you would have a 83% chance of being displayed. All banner's "YourAountPiad" decrease by 1%, daily, but your % chanced will not change. This will ensure the cost of advertisement is fair. We suggest that you sent a small amount to get what ever % chance of being displayed you want, then come back every so often and maybe get more % chance for cheaper!

You must send at least 0.001BTC for the transaction to be processed.

we will advertise almost anything, but ad's that are horrifically inappropriate will be removed and not refunded.
