Yeah guys, plenty of time to join the Sportsbet pool. I promise, the discussion there is of very high quality, as is the competition...

Champions League? Really? I'm a Leeds fan but I think just staying out of the relegation zone is going to be a massive achievement. This isn't the glory days where we grew up with them in the PL and challenging for things back in the early days. All Leeds is is a name right now and to an entire generation they're just an an average Championship team as they've been out of the PL for 15 years. They need to earn their status back which isn't going to be easy. Bizarrely though they're seventh favourite to win the league: https://m.skybet.com/football/premier-league/event/25422280

Hard to believe they're above Leicester, Wolves and Sheff United. Heck, and all the rest.

Yeah, that's definitely the bookies seeing a lot of interest from Nostalgia gamblers -- I'll put my hands up and admit I'm one. My heart of hearts, I don't seriously think of them as CL material just yet, but they could pull of what Leicester did IF they can survive the shock of Prem League in their first season back. Even so, staying 2 or 3 seasons up doesn't mean a thing every reboot as Watford and Bournemouth proved, who both lasted five amazing seasons but eventually just ran out of ideas last one.

Season before last Leeds were flying for most of the start but couldn't maintain their stamina in the final bit of the season, and we only need to look at Norwich to see what a jarring shock it can be to enter the Premier League after a time away...

You are wearing their signature  Tongue . I put some small bets nothing too crazy, just for the sake of fun and not printing money though

Why thank you! I look at Sportsbet specials a LOT, but didn't see this in futures immediately. I always put a few beer money bets like this and then end of season I either get a lot, or forget I even had anything;)

Well that Iceland match was in real danger of losing both our single and our hedge parlay, but in the end, Sterling's penalty saw us through -- though Gomez somehow conspired to almost let Iceland share the haul, phew!

I'm going for another "easy" one today.

Game 1: Switzerland vs Germany. Germany WIN @1.86. Betcoin odds: 1.84
Game 2: Spain vs Ukraine: Spain WIN @1.42. Betcoin odds: 1.40
Game 3: Malta vs Latvia. Latvia WIN @2.33. Betcoin odds: 2.22
100 units parlay at FortuneJack @6.15. Betcoin parlay: 5.72
Bet ID: 11377534

Odds advantage: 43

Running advantage after 431 bets: +14,562 (+43)
All-time cumulative: +36,562
Running units after 430 bets (73W|357L): +13,416.15 (+600)

Well only one person can win the weekly free bet so it doesn't matter too much there. I guess you've got an advantage if you use two accounts with different scores as you've doubled your chance of winning but you've still got to do great on one of them to win. As someone else mentioned, it's probably going to be a disadvantage having more than one account, especially if you're not consistent on one of them.

It'd definitely be a disadvantage to me! As it is, there are weeks I won't change my picks because of time, and those 10 "free picks" I definitely use up over the season, so yeah, I agree. If you want to have more than 1 account, power to you, and more for me to win in the end ha ha;) I think in fact, one might have the disadvantage of overconfidence if having more than 1 pick. Makes you a bit less careful I would say.

@Trofo: Now THAT is a disadvantage I overlooked... I can certainly imagine a scenario where you could be tied with an account on points with 1 more game to go, and pick the same one as the one you've tied in on one account, and pick aother result with your other account! So I might humbly suggest here my earlier recommendation: allow multi accounts but declare the main account for free bet winnings only for that one!

@pamoldar: I'd do the sidebet but I'm also Liverpool and toke has lost his appetite for it heh.

I'm done with pro tipster or whatever .. in the end they are gambling just like us. They just had a lot more data than us which still it's not help much lol
That's why i rather picking other people's opinion and mix things up elicited from just guts! Cheesy and yeah too bad about poland ... they just lucky to not get humiliated.

Iceland next? Hell yeah man , the last time both meets are on EURO 2016 where Iceland shock england in a 1-2 comeback , the odds stand around 11 i guese for the Iceland moneyline. I might going for handicap too this time. Let's do this.

Seriously, I no longer look at tips as well, except for those who actually give me a good analysis, as that's entertaining. Pro tipsters are ok, but the crypto ones especially don't even seem to be giving analysis or even an inkling of bankroll strategy. I'm happy with my niche personal space of doing big odds and hitting it with very low frequency.

Pity about Iceland too, but my "hedge" parlay shone through yay!

↑ Yeah actually I do recall reading Matt's BIP from this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4463840.0

Not technical myself so can't speak to viability, but this BIP does concede a lot of gaps and seems to me, Notable to me in that it didn't actually get thrown down.

The github hasn't been updated in over 2 years though. Perhaps the need hasn't approached critical level.

Depay to Barcelona seems like finally a sensible transfer right now, but still not sure what to make of it when we know now Messi is still going to be in the mix, and therefore, still the core of that disjointed team. Suarez out does appear to also be the right step in a rebuild. Can only eish Barca well. Who knows? Bayern redux.

Who else here is celebrating yet another Magic moment from Steve? To be fair, it was super close for 3 of the games, all needing the solitary goal to win, so this wasn't a stroll in the park (and we needed an injury time penalty, AND a miss from Iceland to get England going!).

Long live Steve!
9508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: September 05, 2020, 07:48:51 PM
This could be another year for them to shine though. Obviously I have high hopes for them, I even bet on Leeds to finish up top 4 for small size of bet  Tongue Just for the sake of fun. They might not be the underdog that probably will win the Premier League but atleast they have high potential to stay on the Premier League unlike the other promoted teams . My 2 cent of thoughts Wink

Oooh, why not? What are the odds and where can I find them haha! I mean, Champions maybe not, but if we see the Big Six fumbling again (and I have a feeling they will) I don't see why Leeds can't steal a CL spot in their first season up. I do feel they'll be more like Leicester though, almost relegated in the first season before smashing their next. PL is a huge step up, needs orientation.
9509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +36315 units on: September 05, 2020, 05:33:46 PM
Let's go for the favourites today and give them a parlay. Sportsbet's gone and done a nice one and I'm still way in profit for following them.

100 units at Sportsbet for England, Belgium, France & Georgia to win at 8.00. Betcoin odds: 7.78
Bet ID: 5f51da1644d1fd282f3720a6

Odds advantage: 12

100 units at Fairlay on Iceland to WIN vs England @11.68. Sportsbet odds: 9.80

Odds advantage: 188

Total odds advantage: 200 (so nicely rounded!)

Running advantage after 430 bets: +14,519 (+200)
All-time cumulative: +36,519
Running units after 428 bets (72W|356L): +12,816.15 (-100)
9510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 05, 2020, 03:28:20 PM
Nothing personal against second accounts, though the 50 a week prize should go for only 1 stated account... Feels slightly unfair for others who only have the one chance, but again, I'm not going to complain. I wouldn't have the time to make more than 1 pick as it is.

Wonder what it would take to get 30 signups. Prize is already SO good.

Been a while since FJ got any promos going on for sportsbetting. The 4+1 deal was pretty decent, and waiting to see if we'll get back our beloved MajSev back haha, this time if I win freebets I'm going to be a bit less adventurous and go for 3/1 odds maybe instead of going so high.

Also... New dice not as fun as old... And will we ever fix the Wednesday 0.7% edge that I've asked about before? It itching to do something with my balance;)
9512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: September 05, 2020, 07:08:59 AM
Iceland will be my single for tomorrow, I’ll risk it

@Trofo, lucky you  Smiley, bad luck on Kosovo’s match only

Today I’m going for Italy and Netherlands to win for a tot of @2.something

I'll ended up taking it too, and then just "insured" it with a favourite parlay that included England winning haha. If I get a bit more stupid in a few hours I might even do a few more. I mean, I bet on Poland without even reading up, I found out too late Lewandowski's not even playing as they'd given him an extended rest. Sometimes I honestly wonder how I would really bet if I actually spent more time researching haha.
9513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +36315 units on: September 05, 2020, 05:49:33 AM
Only problem Lewandowski is on extended leave after winning Champions League and there is no chance he is playing today Smiley
I wanted to play both to score on this game but after seeing this news I will probably opt for Netherlands win. Not so good odds but should be quite safe.

I am also looking at Norway-Austria both to score.

Eff me man, I really need to research shit before this. Especially games where the team lineups aren't even serious. To be fair, Netherlands BARELY won this one haha.

Whoops i never knew you are doing this during this time mate @buwaytress

You know that I'm a big fan of those crazy huge odds. Make it happen in the first week of EPL and LaLiga acca pls i might pick some from yours later  Grin .
About the Netherlands match .. they might in beast mode in the last couple of matches by consistently scoring multiple goals in a match but yeah the long covid19 break absolutely reset it all.
I'm with you straight for poland to moneyline.
Goodluck mate.

Me too man, me too. I don't go 100x or even 50x but just love the matches where you know the ookies hugely overfavour the underdog! Remember, I'm not a good tipster at all, but I do love betting on those longshots.

Sportsbet has a weekly multi, on the favourites, boosted odds. That's always good value for me, for example.

Sorry about Poland. Iceland today? Hahahaha....
9514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 05, 2020, 05:11:13 AM
Scotland got it lucky I have to say. No clear shots on goal, basically a game the Israelis could have gone to win in the first half. Then the plucky bois got their penalty. Love Robbo of course so of course I'm happy haha. They got to do better than this though if they want to further their ambition past group stage.
9515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: September 04, 2020, 11:42:56 AM
Ah yeah, all that talk about Leeds. It's nostalgia really, that was the youth of the Prem League, almost around the time I also first started following it, when my heroes were still young and my age, and when Leeds were stylish and punching it up in the Champions League! Leicester they were not though, and I'm happy to see opportunities like these where it's not just the megarich playing with coins and bills on the pitch;)
9516  Economy / Speculation / Re: This time when the stock market crashes, Bitcoin will go to moon! on: September 04, 2020, 10:28:16 AM
Whoopsie Stonks, guess this time Bitcoin decided to follow the stockmarkets again yeah? Way of them to go so high and then take THAT tumble yesterday (or was it the day before now? Everything's blurred to me now).

Don't worry though, still doesn't mean much in the long term. Equity reacts on crashes is all.
9517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regulations in online Gambling sites on: September 04, 2020, 09:23:31 AM
It seems the online gambling regulations contained in the opening post only for UK countries, if it's like that I feel relieved
that I don't have to follow these rules. Each country has its own policies regarding online gambling, but based on the information
I get. There are so many countries that have banned online gambling, including the country where I live. But fortunately it still can
accessed using a VPN.
VPN puts you at risk if you use it to circumvent censorship and blocking. Many sites ban it directly in their TOS. Maybe they don't enforce it all the time but if you're caught with big winnings they're in their rights to deny you.

Plus, you'll often be asked to KYC anyway and if your IP address and actual access location don't match, it's another can of worms. It's not a very fair case at all in most circumstances with ToS and it's well known, so yeah. If you can't play it normally, you shouldn't. VPN should be a way to protect your privacy, rather than using it to circumvent ToS.
9518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 04, 2020, 08:20:53 AM
Nice call on Germany's defensive lineup, ty, I'm still curious as to why they did that, given the blazing form of their front line. Perhaps it's all about risk management on Day 1 against the strongest opponent in group.

I'm still uninterested in most of the odds, and probably willing to gamble with the upstarts in the groups. Kazakhstan odds are quite good for me today. Poland at almost 9/1 anyone?
9519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +36315 units on: September 04, 2020, 07:05:34 AM
Um, thanks Latvia. You did try 10 shots on goal to none, but should have put in that penalty haha. Oh well.

OK so Netherlands should win nicely today but Lewandowski's had such a strong season, I think it's worth a punt for an upset by the Poles, yeah?

100 units at Sportsbet on Poland to WIN vs Netherlands @8.49. Fairlay is @8.45
Bet ID: 5f51d9fa44d1fd2d4837209f

Units advantage: 4

Running advantage after 428 bets: +14,319 (+4)
All-time cumulative: +36,319
Running units after 427 bets (72W|355L): +12,916.15 (-100)

Note: I've now just rounded up decimals. Headache haha.

Jeah, just a stupid day...
I had Germany and Slovenia in a double, Germany lost (it was a draw, but for me is like a lost) in the last second of the match and Slovenia had a few great chances... good for me that I made an 1X bet on both so I’m zero profit - zero lost
Tomorrow we need to get some profits Wink

Yup, I was just saying how the odds don't look so interesting for me, I at least avoided taking too many parlays, a lot of them would have lost with all those nonsense results, 5 games ended in draws! I might even just take a bet a day this entire weekend! Iceland still trying to tempt me heh heh.
