gox will b out for good because the US government confiscate their money last year and they err ranning ponzi scheme using other peoples money while bitcoin and mastercoin will replace gox Gox is already not neccessary |

It's not an issue right now, however, earlier this pool had like 60% of the total network for a number of hours. I'm not against spreading the hash rate, looks like we are down to 33% or so now But the old 51% attack/forking thing. It's not really true or relevant. Forks do not happen if the pool has a decent amount of connections. My pool runs 3 wallets (on 3 servers) each having 100 connections (and the wallets are all connected to each other). And as for 51% double spend attacks, hash.so has a total of 3.6GH/s on the pools, so we are already way larger than 50% of the network  The only issue with having all the miners in one pool is that then it's a single point of failure for the network. But even that isn't a huge issue with KGW It is a good pool! indeed |

Did anyone actually read the article? Do you understand how they aren't in any way saying Bitcoin is like Paypal in operation? Its saying its the New Thing (tm) and it may face fraud problems like Paypal did, will it learn to cope. It barely even mentions Bitcoin, really focusing on the trouble Paypal had.
Yeah most of members just commented after looking at the title, didn't even bothered about looking at article once..! article is not bad at least better then 80% of BS posted on techcrunch . perhaps you are right. But still putting = between BTC and PayPal is not a right thing |
