And you dicks really keep buying this shit. SMH there's around 3 trillion coins and 100% pos every month, that's 1200% a year. Do some research
So I buy this coin on CoinsMarkets, 1200% will be added to my coinsmarkets account? or do I need a wallet?

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
9582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANNOUNCE] paccoin a new SHA256D coin is being introduced on: January 06, 2018, 02:13:01 PM
Also, sorry, but this cracks me up. There's no way I can take this coin seriously.

From the About section of the new website:

"The coin has evolved to focus on four ‘C’s:  Community, Charity, Content and Choice.  On Feb 1st there will be an early o"

An early o? What's that?

You also misspelled your dev's name. Its Corless, not Corliss.

Then there's this gem in the newest PDF file:

Cheesy (i'm laughing because that's not Satoshi Nakamoto, in case you didn't know)

And its not "on" the genesis block, its "in" the genesis block.

Whoever put this together just learned about cryptocurrency the day before.

Hey Pacmen.

this thread seems to be quite active at the moment. can someone explain to an old dumbass like me how a coin can be Proof of Stake yet reward 500 coins every 1 minute to miners ala Proof of Work? The initial post seems to be a contradictory statement: SHA-256 PoS coin... I've never heard of such a thing. So are you mining it or are you staking it?

And because I'm trying to collect info for a website, can someone tell me if there was indeed a big coin reduction? Its hard to confirm whether or not that actually took place unless I read every single comment. Thanks buds.

9585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex Preparing for an Exit Scam! DO _NOT_ SEND COINS THERE! on: January 06, 2018, 12:17:38 PM

The best thing I did was go on REDDIT and ping a Moderator for Poloniex and I got a response fairly quickly.

OK thanks this is useful advice. I will try this.

So after 4 months of sending only 2 emails. -They responded and dealt with the case quickly.

That statement is rather oxymoronic, and I mean that in the nicest of ways.

So relax, if trade is pending. Cancel it and try resend. I find that helped sometimes it happens.

Its not pending. It says "COMPLETE: ERROR."

No tx ID so obviously they didn't send it anywhere. No response, no nothing. Guess I'll head on over to Reddit.
9586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: January 06, 2018, 08:48:37 AM
Congrats to longtime NEMbers who believed and continue to believe.

I sold off my half million stake about a year and a half ago. I acquired it for $60, doing some pre-release stake trading back and forth on NXT to reduce the price from the face value... Then I sold it for $600 a few months later, feeling like I was a genius.

NOW IT WOULD BE WORTH NEARLY A MILLION DOLLARS!!!

It's one of the biggest woulda/coulda/shoulda sob stories of my life, next to not getting an MD/PhD.

It doesn't matter that the original dev was something of a con artist -- everybody who kept NEM alive, like KODTycoon or whatever his name was, well, you guys were on the right track. And I was an asshole. And still am.

But I want to give credit where its due and congratulate all you guys who held your stashes. Good work, you've earned it.

It costs more than $2000 to hire a lawyer in the US.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro_se_legal_representation_in_the_United_States

I've done it before. I've won in court before.
9588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ECA] Electra ⚡ | POW/POS | NIST5 | Super Rewards Bonanza on: January 06, 2018, 08:37:06 AM
From the About section on the coin homepage:

"Through PoS, you can earn and increase your investments by 50% annually until the total circulating supply reaches the maximum supply."

So what incentive do people have to keep coins after the maximum supply is reached, and how will new blocks continue to be added to the blockchain? Or will the coin just die once the maximum supply is reached?

Your website is missing some very basic features, like a whitepaper and a dev.... These are big no-nos and a warning sign to all considering purchasing this coin.

I think we need to locate the owners full name and address and bring forth legal action against him for financial losses.

Damn that really sucks. Sorry to hear about that. The name of the owner is Tristan D'Agosta:

He goes by the moniker Busoni, and you gotta love his Trust Rating. Probably why he stopped posting here:

I know people with 100's of thousands of dollars trapped there.

they need to re open for withdrawal bbr, xdn and xcn else this page will stay on page 1.

Glad they released some of your funds

Yeah they are a total horseshit company and I don't recommend anybody use them.

I do recommend everybody withdraw their funds immediately before the panic really sets in, because after it does, and it comes to light that they indeed practice fractional reserve banking and are on the verge of an Exit Scam, your coins will also be as good as gone, because they will actually, indeed, already be gone.

Its obvious they don't have the amount of coins they claim is traded on their site on a daily basis. You'd have to be a complete moron to remain oblivious to this.

XDN
XCN
BBR

all confiscated on polo

they have closed the wallets and will not allow withdrawal for months

I think we need to locate the owners full name and address and bring forth legal action against him for financial losses.

For the record, they released about half of my money so far, but only after I added this gem to my support ticket:

"Can't you at least have the courtesy to explain to me why you are making my life a living hell?

You don't understand the depths of the direness of my financial problems right now. Why are you compounding them without explanation? What's going on over there? Federal investigation? Exit scam? Both??? Why not a PEEP from you guys despite the fact that your Support section says that you will notify customers within 24 hours after receiving a support ticket? That's obviously untrue and a lie and legally actionable. I've screenshotted all of your rules and I will demonstrate in court how you violated your own Terms of Service by refusing to release my funds or at least address the reasoning why you aren't releasing them."

So yes, threatening legal action is seemingly the only way to get their attention. They're still sitting on several hundred dollars worth of my coins though.
9591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex Preparing for an Exit Scam! DO _NOT_ SEND COINS THERE! on: January 05, 2018, 01:25:48 PM
First: Why don't you verify your account with 2FA? They already said that your limit is 2K$ without verifying.
Second: If you don't want to verify your account, just keep withdrawing smaller amounts each day, like equal to $1950 per day till all your funds are withdrawn.
I know there will be higher fees with the second option, but that is the fee you're paying to not verify your account.

I have recently withdrawn using the second option and I have received bitcoin funds quite quickly without any hassle.

You obviously didn't read any of my reply posts. I have a legacy account that is verified. I do have 2-FA turned on. But its unnecessary because they require that you provide a code sent via email to you in order to log in in the first place. I wasn't trying to withdraw over $2000 at one time -- they kept a ton of my NEM without sending it, and now they are keeping an equal value of my BTC.

Goody goody for you. I'm so happy for you that Polo hasn't scammed you yet. Meanwhile I'm living in a mosquito-ridden AirBnB in the middle of provincial Philippines because I can't get my money out of Polo. I can't sleep, I can't concentrate on work, I barely even get internet here. This sucks. They are wasting my life away for no discernible reason. So I have every right to call them out on their criminal behavior until they do the right thing and release my funds.

Like I said, I've been a customer with them for almost 4 years. And now this, out of the blue. With no explanation. But go ahead and keep using Polo, if you're a fool.
9592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex Preparing an Exit Scam on: January 05, 2018, 01:19:49 PM
This is really weird.  I think the best thing to do now is to calm down and plead your case.  I mean they have your transaction history.  At least they should tell you why they banned you.  Tho, it's in their new TOS that explicitly says they reserve the right to ban accounts as they see fit.

Plead my case to who? I already have been doing that for a solid month. No response. They have the right to ban accounts and keep their money? No, they don't. Sorry, but you're wrong: morally, legally and in reality. They haven't told me shit because they are criminal hacks on the verge of a massive exit scam.
9593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex Preparing an Exit Scam! DO _NOT_ SEND COINS THERE! on: January 05, 2018, 04:44:47 AM
Poloniex, at one time, was the best exchange out there. I loved their site, and everything about it. They are in a state where they've completely shut their doors to any new currency (for the better and the worse) and are riding on the reputation and established platform they have, with 4-5 cryptos where they make half of there income from.

Both Polo and Bittrex won't last much longer, the FEDS are up their asses extorting traders information. I woulden't touch either those exchanges, solely because they are based in the U.S.

I completely agree with you here. For a long while I traded exclusively on Poloniex, and this is how they repay me: by refusing to release thousands of dollars worth of coins. I'm afraid to try Bittrex. Guess I'll just stick to my dayjob for now.
9594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex Preparing an Exit Scam on: January 04, 2018, 03:29:02 PM

As for the ip ban, there must be something going on in there.  Maybe your account was flagged by mistake or something?

Do you have a verified account with them?  Just curious.

Yes, verified, legitimized, stamped and approved. I've also used them numerous times from this country and this is the first time this has happened.

Like I said I've had my account with them for almost 4 years -- since the very beginning, when their font type was horribly unattractive and almost illegible. I've done thousands of dollars worth of business with them since and now they decide to throw the banhammer directly at my balls.
9595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex Preparing an Exit Scam! DO _NOT_ SEND COINS THERE! on: January 04, 2018, 01:21:10 PM
Similar problems happen with any stock exchange, I think this is not a reason to raise panic.
Wait, I think support will answer you soon.

What is your definition of "soon"? I've been waiting for over a month for them to release my NEM back to my account.
9596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex Preparing an Exit Scam! DO _NOT_ SEND COINS THERE! on: January 04, 2018, 11:59:06 AM
well, on their part they need to increase withdrawal fee so the transaction did not stuck on hundreds of thousands of unconfirmed transaction.
I agree about binance and kucoin as a good exchange.

It's not about the withdrawal fee. THEY REFUSE TO RELEASE MY COINS. IT HAS _ZIP_, _ZERO_, _NADA_ TO DO WITH TRANSACTION FEES.
9597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex Preparing an Exit Scam! DO _NOT_ SEND COINS THERE! on: January 04, 2018, 09:46:47 AM
I wonder what is going on.
I also am hearing complaints about Bittrex that are similar.
It's getting to be the same story with us older accounts and not getting out our coins and then no support.

Hmm no support from Poloniex or Bittrex... I know you've been around for a while Sputty; whats your next best exchange?

C-Cex?
9598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex Preparing an Exit Scam on: January 04, 2018, 04:28:38 AM
WOW. What the hell is that?

Were there any explanations from Polo via email/chat?

If such a big exchange using cheap tricks like that, I imagine what will do the likes of CoinsMarkets or lets say CoinExchange.

No explanations. No follow-up email, no response to my support tickets. I was an idiot for continuing to trust them after they have been sitting on my NEM for so long without resolving those tickets.

Time to go have another cigarette. I was trying to quit, too.
9599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex Preparing an Exit Scam on: January 04, 2018, 04:18:26 AM
Now as a final hammer to the balls, this just happened:

Someone explain to me how they're not absolutely crooked and about to go down the drain, ala Vircurex, Mintpal and Cryptsy.
9600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Poloniex Preparing for an Exit Scam! DO _NOT_ SEND COINS THERE! on: January 04, 2018, 04:01:48 AM
Despite the fact that I have been a customer with them for almost 4 years, Poloniex is refusing to allow the withdrawal over $2,000 worth of coins from my account. Yes, I have a Legacy Account. Yes, I created a Support Ticket over 1 month ago. Now they are just sitting on my money and there is no way to contact a real human being there. So whatever you do, DON'T USE POLONIEX. They will likely just sit on your money until they run away with it all.

Want proof? Here you go:

They will gladly take your money, even though I don't really understand what this means. 12 of 12 confirmations and still pending... Hmmm...

Here is me trying to withdraw BTC from my XRP trade, after clicking the verification email link to confirm its me and I really do want to make this withdrawal. As you can see, the withdraw request was made over 24 hours ago and despite what is says in their "Support" section (what a corruption of the word), I have not been contacted by anybody. Obviously they have my email address, so why no follow-up?

Here's me re-visiting the withdraw request link in my email, just so you can see that I actually received the email, and I clicked it again thinking maybe I didn't click it the first time (even though I did), after all, it says "Awaiting Approval" for my withdrawal status.

Here's what Poloniex has to say after I clicked the link in my email. "Oops" is right. Assholes. (Them, not you.)

Finally, here's an example of how slow and useless their support team is. I would say this is proof they are either readying for an exit scam or else practicing fractional reserve banking, which means they don't actually have the coins to send me. As you can see I created these tickets an entire month ago and have received NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER from them.

No telephone number. No email address. Nothing to do except for sit and wait and pray.

TL;DR - DON'T USE POLONIEX OR COUNT ON THEM TO OFFER _ANY_ BIT OF SUPPORT!
