Rebrand name poll on http://signatum.news/

Thank you. There were alot of good options and some i did not like Tongue Went with Bitnote myself. Just imgagine in your head going to a store and the worker asks cash or Bitnote? That sounds good for meg. Alot of the the other options did not have such a nice feel to them.

Name the Coin and be Rewarded

Signatum 2.0 is now ready to be named! Signatum 2.0 was always considered a placeholder name, to try an easily convey our support for the Signatum community. We are now ready to brand the coin and we want you to be involved in that decision making process. Our esteemed community member and contributor @Bruno will be hosting the submission template on his website: http://signatum.news/. When the time comes for the voting on the name suggestions in two days time, the voting will be available both on Bruno's website and on Discord. Please follow the previous link and let's kick start the naming process.

We accept both submissions that are names as well as names with logos.

There are 2 bounties for the name that ends up being chosen (coins will be payed on the new blockchain):
- 2,500 coins if your name is chosen (without logo) and
- 5,000 coins if your name is chosen and you suggested a logo that is to be used too

So here are the 2 logos

And

The name I am suggesting is "Spero" which means...
There is a philosophical reason behind this name.
Spero

Another word very close to it is "Spiro" which means ...

The bird in the european culture is a the symbol of vitality.

The idea is that ..
This coin will rise from the ashes like a Pheonix. I hope (Spero), It will breathe (Spiro) again.. And it will show the signs of vitality.

It makes perfect sense for revitalizing and reincarceration of signatum 2.0

Impressive, i like both the name and the logo (2nd were best in my opinion). And this is just the first suggestion i see, looks promising.
Signatum had bad devs but a big community so i think we will get alot of good options. Cant wait to see them all! Smiley

Look , signatum is gone. They are not even gonna use this name..

These guys are trying to help us..

New name , new Algo .. POW ..

And i believe that this ANN will be also deleted at the time of new coin release .. Forget SIGT!!!!

Deleting / closing this thread to make a new one would probably be a good move indeed. Signatum should die after swap, but it will probably be remembered as a indicator of bad coin.
Though i am a little supprised of the current fall of price, as the Sigt 1 will give coins in the new chain. And with current pricing there is not much downside for investors i would think.
The new coin have a decent chance of becoming one of the better fresh coins lately.

But..  I believed in Signatum 1, so wouldnt take my word for it  Tongue

i am unable to find form to submit for airdrop . are they really active yet or this has been closed already ?

and friends let me know if they have continued kindly get me know the link for the airdrop or bountry program so i can study that too . thanks

Really? I get that not everyone wants to read the whole thread. But i already answered this on the very same page you posted Tongue
Airdrop 2 is closed. Airdrop 3 is for thoose who participated in airdrop 1 and 2.
500/2400 people has claim their reward.

@digaran its not our national language soo we make sometimes a mistakes.

Hi,

I have loaded the wallet in myetherwallet and checked for tokens with the "load tokens" button. Trying to add i manually fails as it is already one of the standard tokens.
Is there something else i should do, or did i just not win the lottery? If i did not get in, no problem. We couldnt all be lucky Smiley

Dont like Idea about another " Anonymous DEV team"

We didn't learn nothing from recent past?

Okay, wise guy. Do you have any idea how much money people lost on Sigt? I am down 95% on my investment.

I am pretty mad at the whole situation, but I do realize the current team should not be held responsible. I imagine there are many less level-headed types around there.

The current team had nothing to do with the nodes getting shut down, the original team going missing etc. - all are community members who've been with the coin since its inception.
They could still get targeted and revealing their identities could very well compromise their personal lives, their jobs etc.

If you had trust issues with anonymous devs, you shouldn't have bought/mined sigt in the first place. Invest in an ICO and keep this discussion productive.
You should have listened to the warnings I have been posting 2 months in row, nobody believed me, everyone called me FUD'er bla bla
This is what you get beeing a following sheep, use your brain and this won't happen

Also cryptodevil posted some real prove afterwards, noobs didn't listn just believed what they wanted to believe
You can't recover this project, you can't revive a drown horse, it's dead: no investors will ever invest in this project anymore
Leave this be you all lost your money, you knew investing in cryptocurrencies were high risk, get over it.

Yeah Signatum is dead. Signatum 2 (name will change) is a new coin. New main devs, new chain, new aglgo, new plan. The only part of old signatum remaining is community devs who joined after launch wanting to help and that they are giving holders of signatum coins instead of the normal airdrop etc. I dont see why it should not have a fair chance? And they will have a instant decent sized community.

But yes, we should have listened to the warnings. Now lets see how this new coin is before we judge.

This re-launch is great. Got my popcorn and i’m going to sit and watch it blow up like a 4th of July Fireworks show.

Love the 4x value projection after the swap, were did you get your economics degree professor?

When you invest in a coin, do you care about mcap or coin price?
In theory if a company is worth X and they do a merge of the stocks, even 10:1 the value should be the same after so 10x price per share.
And it is the principle used here in their explanation.

With the current mcap sitting at 626 648 dollar it is not unreasonable to think the mcap will increase after some time with active devlopment.
But off course it all depends on the new devs not being scammers like the old. The development will show in time. Peoples investments are already so low in value it cant get much worse Smiley

I saw a discord on the information about the airdrop or it seemed to me?

If you read their info on page 1 / web page it is stated that coins not swapped will be divided between extra funds for treasury and air drops Smiley

Good points. And lets not forget, this is a coin meant for purchases. What could drive the price up beyond what we can immagine is if criminals start using it. And if that happens authorities might be bringing the dev team in even though they cant stop a dark web marketplace (this is just one example). So i get why they dont want to reveal idendities. For me as a investor it would be reasuring, but for the devs not worth it. They are doing more than any of us in terms of salvaging the signatum 1 investment, yet they get so much negativity. So il keep posting - Thank you for going for swap instead of new coin.  Smiley
970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum 2.0 on: October 31, 2017, 06:13:33 AM
Will the Signatum 2.0 really work? Thank you very much, devs.
It`s a big question. And dev saying it will. And the price will be 4x sign1 or higher. But sign1 will not be. Can we trust it? I don`t know. I want guarantee from dev. Best guarantee may be like at spreadcoin. everyone who have sign1 gets the same quantity sign2.

They never said it will go to 4x price per coin, and thats because they cant guarantee it. No dev can guarantee a price unless they themself got a major fund which will put buy wall. And that fund would have to be value guaranteed * coins so redicolous big :p

But the price should increase per coin to have same mcap. And then the price should go even further with time as we now got devs working on it again.

All the negativity here is either from people that dont hold, less intelligent or privileged users imo. Discussion is good, but of course the devs want a chain they actualy control instead of working on a chain a known scammer has access to. And they also want something back for the work in a pre mine. This also give incentive to put in the needed work to make Signatum 2 a good coin. By giving us swap they will get a big community with them instead of a new coin with airdrops. I see this as a win win for devs and us, and apreciate that they went this way. And the 4:1 makes sense as we do want miners / masternodes to have incentive to point their investment in signatum 2. Could just have higher reward but then we will have an insane amount of coins.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Cash , AirDrops , no ico , New Exchange Credit Cards and more! on: October 30, 2017, 09:00:43 PM
Is the airdrop still available

I was also going to ask the same thing
. The dev have stated that rund 2 is closed. The token was more popular than they anticipated even. I were very lucky to get in right before closing myself. There is a third drop, but that one is exclusive for participants of the first two if i remember correct.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum 2.0 on: October 30, 2017, 02:16:15 PM
The max. supply is already decided to be about 150 million. Choosing 1:20 seems the obvious choice for existing holders.

However, there still needs to be a balanced reward to incentivize mining the new coin. Considering the reward scheme and block time have yet to be determined and are probably dependent on the path taken, the choice between 1:4 or 1:20 may turn out to be moot.

There is a trust issue with option 1. If holders send coins to a burn address, how can they be sure the swap and burn actually takes place? How can they be sure this is not a scheme to have holder send their coins to be sold by the recipient?

The arguments are that Signatum coins are almost worthless, there are barely buyers, there is no development. In other words what do you have to lose?

But then one could retort, why bother burning them?

We do not believe it is conscionable that some benefit at the expense of others when such significant information asymmetries exist.

There is also such a thing as due diligence.

It almost looks like a false dichotomy.

The one who would buy Sigt 1 when they can no longer be swapped is not the big whales, but small investors who dont have the same amount of time put in. And for thoose even small purchases going to trash would could be a big impact on their funds. So i apreciate that they burn it, even though i would like to swap and then sell for myself off course. Good thing we dont get the option to dump on others who have not paid as much attention. Now you could say that potential buyers can only blame themself, but the devs are better than that.

Option one is the obvious choice for me too.

AirDrop #2 Register has been end , now we going to send 1000 Tokens for 2400 people plus 2x 333.333 tokens for lucky persons.
We get 6696 AirDrop request.

If anyone will to get DOC with airdrop i will post them here.

Hi,

Not to complain as airdrops are free. But the registration didnt close when max was reached so not all who got in the registration will get tokens? And how will the 2400 "winners" be selected.
Put in some extra work with selling other alts for eth and creating mew for this so not to excited if it was for nothing. - Not that i have joined alot (if any) airdrops before.

Users in airdrop are choosen random and sending is manual process.

Thank you for clarifying. Then all who registered in time get the same chance which is a fair way. Now we just have to cross our fingers Smiley Most exciting for the lucky winner of lottery! Did not see anyone commenting on winning from round 1, guess they want to stay anonymous. I did see you published the address though Smiley

Got my airdrop registered. Had to make a myetherwallet and buy eth, but the fees are low enough to make it worth a shot.
Now lets hope for some good development, alot is missing but if it gets some actual development it can be a very smart move to get in while it is free Smiley

If it has already been asked ignore me. But are there information as to when we will get on coinmarketcap? Would be easier for investors to buy if they can see that information easy. I almost dropped buying because of that, and the unclear amount of total tokens.
977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [RPX] Red Pulse Token – Next Generation Intelligence and Content Ecosystem on: October 29, 2017, 09:02:06 AM
Found the project interesting and the price is still good so got myself a small part of it Smiley les hope it turns out to a succes! And a bigger Exchange would be nice for the price of course, im guessing the current price will be one many regret not jumping on then.

Why don't these devs come clean with their identities and competencies? Why hide behind pseudonyms

They have explained this. Giving their identities could jeapordize the jobs for them. Also there have been threats before. Alot of sick people in the world, and with families to care for they have decided to stay anonymous. I would have done the same if i i were part of the team.
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum 2.0 on: October 28, 2017, 04:42:45 AM
Looking at all the trolling and ungrateful members, i would just like to throw in a Thank you to the devs! I think you will be rewarded well for sigt 2, but so will we. It does require a lot of work from your side, buy thankfully the incentive is there for you to really put in alot of effort Smiley

*there are also alot of good questions coming which is fair to be asked when transparancy id advertised.
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum 2.0 on: October 27, 2017, 12:20:06 PM
I don't understand how this coin cares for signatum owners. If the old owners won't be able to double dip, how can they be considered cared about?

The team has absolutely no obligation to even implement a swap.

And as of now, signatum 1.0 still has a 182 satoshi value to it, you can buy it, sell it, convert it to btc, eth whatever you want. So anyone without any prior signatum, can come now, and accumulate sigt at a very low price, at a fraction of what we believers and holders bought, and get the same 4:1 ratio conversion. This is no different than a premined coin sale, or an ICO.

It has been confirmed that ALL the original nodes (hard-coded into the wallet) are down. If the current team didn't add their own nodes, the chain would be dead right now, essentially.  You couldn't even sync your wallet, let alone transfer funds to sell them. The definition of a dead coin.

It is unfortunate that the price is what it is, and as of yet we haven't seen many large buys. The overall sentiment on future outlook is still negative.

I fail to see any serious priority given to previous signatum owners. The only privilege we get is we don't have to open a new account at yobit to buy sigt for the swap, since we already have an account and sigts in our wallet.

What is the alternative? Let the chain die and everyone loses their entire investment? You are lamenting about things the community or the current devs had no control over. It is facetious, at best, to expect preferential treatment for being an 'old' holder. It is NOT fair, but there's nothing that could have been done differently.

The new sigt 2.0 dev team were also devs of 1.0. They have some form of responsibility for those who expected to see doc back, as it was stated officially that he would be back multiple times in the old discord. I know they were fooled aswell, but still, they do have and obviously feel some responsibility for it, as they state in their announcement for 2.0.

Given the amount of whining and incessant shrieking many in the community project to the team (which has been, may I remind you, paid $0 for their efforts thus far), it's a wonder they're doing this at all. They could just as easily have decided to drop the whole thing, and create a new coin, no swaps involved.

While this is a well thought-out and warm mutual feeling between us and them, they fail to prove that in their action. Because more CAN be done, let us keep 1.0. If you are true to your word, 1.0 has no chance to live while 2.0 exists, and maybe we can dump some of our 1.0's and make a little extra, a small gift for those who held for long.

Let me just repeat myself one more time, just to drive the point home.

This is a curated list of dead coins: http://deadcoins.com/

Dead coins have no value. They cannot be exchanged, transferred, traded in any meaningful way.

It's probably where sigt v1 might end up very soon. Why would you want to 'keep' your dead coins? Are you a hoarder?

You don't get to 'keep' anything. At that point it's dead as a parrot. To paraphrase the great Monty Python:

Quote
'E's not pinin'! 'E's passed on! This coin is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'im to the perch 'e'd be pushing up the daisies! 'Is transactions processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-COIN!!

The ONLY ways you can get some value out of your dead coins is:

1. someone forks the chain

Why would they do that, though, when anyone can just start a new chain without whining and entitled holders feeling they have a right to decide everything about the direction of the project?

2. someone creates a new chain and allows you to swap

This is an act of pure altruism. Again, why give people free coins when you can just control the entire supply much easier starting from square 1? And no dealing with any holder BS?

It's not a wonder they are trying to implement this swap because they didn't get paid. Their names were on the dev list for a suspected scam coin. They might have incentive to clear their names of any doubt if attached.

Theoretically, could they keep the v1 nodes online and then let sigt v1 stay on yobit, then sell the acquired v1 during the swap for a gain? Not saying they might do it. I'm saying could they do it? Yes they could, if they were bad people.

I don't believe them to be scammers. I believe they tried to do their best with v1. But my opinion has no weight. Public must believe them. And for the public, and the trader who has no info about how blockchains might work, this swap might look suspicious after all.

To win back those who might be skeptical, wouldn't it be better for the devs to let people keep v1 during the swap, then kill the nodes. This would clear any doubt there might occur.

Whenever I bring this up, I'm told "if you don't like it, don't swap it."

So instead of clearing the doubts on this swap by letting people hold on to their worthless v1s, they choose to contend with criticism and "whining and incessant shrieking" from the community, as you put it. Why ?

And answering a question from the community by calling it offensive, unnecessary, whining, or saying "don't swap if you don't like it", instead of explaining what will be done with the acquired v1s, is inconsistent with the transparency principles promised on the v2 website.

One of the better posts ive seen from newbie account. You got some good points. But as the they are still working on the details we dont actually know if we will get to keep sigt V1. But they need to have control over the swap and one way to do that is if we send it in.
Id like to keep it, cause then i could sell it. But that would leave someone with a useless devless coin after i sold. So when we look at it like that it would be best if coins got burned.

At the same time, trust is not very high atm. So keeping the coins could be good for current holders. I will swap anyway as i want the coin with theese devs.
