961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine if an altcoin is worth investing in? on: November 21, 2020, 12:22:55 PM
An altcoin is worth investing in if it there are a lot of investors that are patronizing its services
just like jacs, the one that you currently participated  . i have seen many users in this forum that wears a jacs signature and i always wonder that maybe the project is really promising but not all that have been patronize by many individuals are legit because that can also be an example of hype to gather more advertisers so that they can gain more exposure then many investors will invest on it but the end can be tragic . tbh till now i find it hard to identify a legit project , if im given a chance to invest i just go on the older projects .
962  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin be Trade at $318,000 by End of 2021? on: November 21, 2020, 11:42:46 AM
I wonder why people can speculate the price of bitcoin to $ 300k,
even though the all time high is still not penetrated, we'll talk about it after the new all time high is reached,
and it's still very early for us to discuss, understand not to make people eat fomo.
That's true mate, we ought to wait for the cross of the All Time High in 2017 before making progressive assumption towards future Bitcoin price. But nothing bad from what OP said but not this time IMO. But wait, the $100k landmark hasn't been reach and somebody talking about far above that?, that's unfair in my honest opinion. Let wait for the ending of 2020 Bitcoin price before calculating the 2021.
the op only shared the link and the prediction did not came to his own mouth  . no need to flame him but we must infact thank him for the effort of sharing such good news although it was only annoying that the prediction was too big and it was also advanced 1 year  . the prediction wasnt unfair though , unfair is not the right word to use . if this good performance of btc continues that it leads to passing 20k usd , ill going to change my mind and believe on whoever predicted that because 20k usd is too legendary
963  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin break its previous ATH record of 20K before end of 2020? on: November 21, 2020, 08:20:47 AM
Are we magnetised towards 20k now, like a moth to a flame are we drawn to the largest and most obvious price in our view which of course is the ATH of now mythical status.   I wonder if thats a real effect or do we get repelled by 20k as we get closer and just as we approach after all these years some hidden sect of BTC knights templar buyers now aged by their years of holding and determined to be sellers will come in to force us downwards.
thats a deep message you write there bro . we arent magnetised for the 20k but we are more magnetised by the time that btc was 10k range. remember , it takes several attempts ( ups and downs ) before we succesfully get out of that range and we are finally here at 18k , price dont get stuck anymore and i suspect that it will easily head down to 20k path .

its not joke to hodl for a long time , that is why those legendary hodlers feel the need of a release especially when btc starts moving above 10k usd and this is why we feel that there is something that stops btc
964  Economy / Economics / Re: people stop complain about economy and ccovid on: November 21, 2020, 07:37:23 AM
but are there still people complain with that ? covid19 is old and economy is now partially recovered . by that , i dont believe that there are still people that likes to complain but if there are ,  those people do have a mental sickness already because they cant get over on a single event .

stop thinking like if you are normal hard working person your life is secure its not like this !!
best security is your own knowledge and information.
then what do you want people to think , that they are not normal ? you work hard because you are smart and your thinking of your future . that really can secure you and no crisis can stop you
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How safe it is to give a away personal detail to SwissBorg on: November 21, 2020, 06:58:39 AM
I downloaded their app and during the signing up process I got bit worried of all the personal details they ask such as:
my name, residential address, identity verification.
Personally, I don't feel relaxed giving away such personal detail, am I overreacting  and it is safe or you think the same as I?

i'm not really sure about the company but one thing i'm sure about. it's that you don't give you personal information online even if it is regulated for me it's really risky to give your personal information to internet or online better stay away from it if you have doubts.

regulated means controlled/centralized , if this isnt regulated they wont ask personal infos  . i heard this name before and its one of those talk about projects but if im part of it i will still think twice if im going to give my personal details or not because they are only new on this space and they can run away anytime.

@op i didnt see you over react but what you feel is verry common now , now that almost all projects as the same thing but it looks like you are really worried alot. that was enough signal to not proceed on this one .
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deflationary Tokens on: November 21, 2020, 04:45:54 AM
I am well aware of coins with controlled inflation like BTC, where a finite number of coins will be generated at a controlled rate. Very recently I came across deflationary tokens where coins are destroyed whenever a transaction is made and they will end at some time.
My question is what is the purpose of creating such coins? Are they worthy enough to be invested ?
Every project created with a purpose, so if you want to know exactly about the purpose of a coin, you should learn it on their website and whitepaper.
Are they worthy enough to be invested? I don't know what kind of coin that do you mean, but the first thing about the investment you should learn it by yourself, if you think untrustworthy, so skip it
he mean those coins that have the ability to burn themselves upon a transaction is triggered . i just heard on them lately , the one that i remember is boom coin but i didnt dive deep on to this coin because im not that really interested on altcoins and tokens . if these kind of coins are self burning or deflationary is that means that they can grow in price easily ? this attracts greedy people that thinks of easy money and this can be the secondary purpose of those coins ( to money grab ) if theres no primary use or purpose on why they are produce
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is for you the best Defi Project for 2021? on: November 20, 2020, 09:20:33 AM
the real question that runs in my mind is will there still be a defi next year because afaik per year there was always a new type of funding that comes out but if ever defi will still be there , defi are going to be silent just like previous type of funding  . in short for me there will be no best defi anymore but dont take that seriously , im not here to offend everybody , im not here to offend defi lovers . since we are still in the 2020 and defi was still relevant this time , i can give my best pick . that can be uni,/uniswap and yfi
968  Economy / Economics / Re: Yearly >Trendy< Crypto Markets, Is Crypto becoming like Tech Fashion? on: November 20, 2020, 08:47:20 AM
i thought im going to see a btc on here because i notice that btc has its own trend or pattern like for example every  november the price are always rising  or in every other year there is a same price scheme btc are following and why treat them as a tech fashion and why not a fashion (clothing ), hairstyle , etc.  theres so many things do also have thier own trend . if gadgets was an example .old gadgets can go in a trend again . they can remake it and make it more portable , add features , etc . so as the crypto stuffs on here , they can do the same modification to gain attention
969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pain of a bounty manager. on: November 20, 2020, 07:51:54 AM

There are lots of member busy on catching those who abused the principles at Scam Accusations thread.
Most of those cheaters have been caught and reported on Reputation thread, not scam accusation. Scam accusation is needed when the project turned to scam and ran away with their ICO/IEO/Defi money.

I don't want to blame the bounty manager because a project will be a success or a failure there is nothing for the bounty manager to do.
Managers MUST do some little research first before he accepting the project they want managed. At least, escrow the bounty funds to them or trusted escrower.
In fact, professional manager always do more research on a project. so many times the manager idea is wrong, so there is nothing wrong with the manager. If the ICO/IEO of a project goes to fails then there is no mistake of bounty manager. Also at this time almost all the projects are cheating and scamming where many managers are not willing to manage the bounty at this time.

People needs to understand that the manager of the bounty is not the manager of the project. He is only paid to manage the bounty.
So in case if the bounty project becomes a failure in future, the bounty manager has noting to do with it.
bounty is consider as a project and we can say that managers are managing the project . on a real project, i think its not the managers role to process payments but it was a role for the financial in charge or treasury except maybe on the sig campaigns on this forum because popular managers can process payment and manage the campaign at the same time . on bounty its different because managers are also treated as a bounty hunter and will also get paid once the bounty is over . bounty managers must search for a good project if they do not want that to happen and having an ability to manage a good project makes them iconic
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 25k new Bitcoin addresses in 1 hour on: November 20, 2020, 06:51:08 AM
why do you have many addresses @op what are you going to do with that or do you hide something from us ? hmm . i dont feel the need of creating a new bitcoin address because i dont hide anything and im only one user . the reason why there are so many address is because there are new users that joins btc . the btc bull and the btc in paypal can be the caused for those people to sign up and get btc address imediately . they wont create a btc wallet for display or to stare at it the whole day but they do want to fill that with a btc asap . we can expect more pumps in the coming days , nice .
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be a wise investor on: November 20, 2020, 06:16:47 AM
I guess the idea of being rich should not be the first priority here. Once joining to crypto world and/or working yourself so hard on office works, being rich shouldn't be your goal. Successful is the main goal in working non-stop. Once, you are successful money will not be a problem and I mean by that is you have all your resources, contacts, friends, skills, mindset, etc.
office works ? you mean you join crypto bounties and other free lancing jobs ? because crypto investing/trading is not an office work although some can track everything profesionaly and they make a chart , creat sheets , etc that is simillar to some office work .

working for money means your goal is to get rich but if your goal is to not get rich you shouldnt have work on here or invest and trade but you only use your crypto for shopping and paying .
972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Free betting tips by Janinjo on: November 20, 2020, 05:29:37 AM
I wonder about your betting history, I am thinking if you already won a huge amount of money as of these days, can you share some of your rewards and winning history to us so we can say that these tips are useful for us if I find it a useful one then maybe I will follow or copy your betting strategy.
providing a brief list of his past betting results can help him to be more convincing . he didnt provide so i checked his history of post and found out that he have been involved on gambling discussions and betting tip service , the guy could really have a knowledge on betting and he knows what he is talking about . asking if he already won a huge amount of money sounds wierd and you also ask to give some of his winning . thats already personal and i never see a tipster that gave away his previous winning but he can gave you a tips and you can win it yourself .
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: November 20, 2020, 04:59:35 AM
Not many addicted people in gambling will want to seek professional help advice because they can hide their addiction to other people.
its easy to hide your gambling addiction if your playing gambling online because you can go on your own room or other private places that dont have a people around it but if youv been playing orl casino people will notice you when they see you going outside .

its still up to the willingness of addicted gambler if he want to follow what his family advices to go to the professional for mental help or not , its his own life and no one can force him not even his fam . gamblers are grown up man , they arent kids that they can easily encourage to stop
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 20, 2020, 12:45:34 AM
It's not only in India but all countries where gambling is legal there are issues like this, some of them are not broadcast publicly but there really is, if you have a family or a friend who is very much hooked on gambling and he sometimes asks for a loan, better check if he is very deep into gambling because he may end up like this.

but in poor countries this problem is much deeper. people consider gambling as a way of getting out of poverty and in rich countries most people consider it as a fun. I don't think that in Sweden or in Norway someone would commit suicide after losing money.
in poor places theres more suicide cases because of financial problem and gambling can be one of the cause of it but on poorer countries there are gamblers that are only playing for fun and not to get out of poverty because they know that it wont work . on richier countries there were less cases of suicides but there are cases of suicide that cause by gambling  . rich people tend to gamble big and can loan big easily , they think gambling is the solution to pay for those debts but if they loose this will cause heavy stress to them that leads to end thier life .
975  Economy / Speculation / Re: Congrats to everyone for reaching $20k again. on: November 19, 2020, 12:39:14 PM
tell me that your a time traveller and btc did reach 20k . common dont be shy , you dont need to hide it with this advance post Smiley  . you are long time term hodler ? how many years you already hold your btc . congrats for reaching this point  .

this point is where the decision of selling or continue hodling gets harder because the price is way too high . not all reach this far but i feel that they already sold thier btc before especially when the time that btc starts moving forward beyond 10k usd .
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2020... Altseason? on: November 19, 2020, 11:56:48 AM
its the btc price that has got rise not the alts but why you call it altseason or say that altseason is coming . altcoins are the ones that supposed to show an increase but seeing their performance these days i dont think that there is an incoming alt bullrun .

i am more excited seeing the price sky rockets faster than being worried that it may dump also faster . my confident have even grewed more when i see that this new price of btc are glued on . if i still remember the 2017 btc bull run arent like this , i mean its stability when btc is already on top but price now and on the past have similiarities .
977  Economy / Economics / Re: Mexico's billionaire invests in Bitcoin on: November 19, 2020, 11:22:14 AM
I think it's kind of cool that people who are presumably smart with money (and have tons of it) are investing in it.  That's definitely a big step toward mainstream acceptance of bitcoin

Definitely, and the more this happens, the more bitcoin is seen as a sensible diversification option, and the more ultra-rich people buy in.
There is obviously the price manipulation element, too. A billionaire announcing investment in anything tends to swing the price upwards, as they would desire.

it can also be a main thing for investment or as a currency and not just an option if you are a fan of decentralization and everything on how bitcoin works . investors are looking for more assets to add in thier collection and they found out btc , they diversify some of thier funds to it .

there no date on when the buy in occur , we arent sure if this can be link on the massive pump that happen to btc . announcing this cant move the price if theres no action applied along
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best coin to buy a cup of Coffee? on: November 19, 2020, 10:26:33 AM
there are so many cryptocurrency which has low transaction fee like dogecoin, digibyte, bnb, dash but instead of all these coins I'll be prefer tron because it's transaction speed is much for faster than any other cryptocurrency
Well, yeah tron is a good option but I will personally go with XRP because the same address can be used by the owner with different tags which makes it easier and the confirmations are instant as anyone who uses ripple knows about it.
i also use xrp but i didnt knew that you can use different tags on one address . by the way what is the use of that . if you can set up another ripple wallet you can still came up with an address and another new tag .

theres also an option for sending xrp without the need of tag and i havent seen an xrp wallet yet that have no tag on it . i better be not messing with those but i still love using xrp because of its less fee and instant transfers even if many people calling the coin a shitcoin :p  .
979  Other / Archival / Re: 6 Most Popular Criticisms Of Bitcoin on: November 19, 2020, 09:21:15 AM
One can criticize Bitcoin as much as one wants, but any criticism can be answered with a fairly well-founded counter-criticism as shown in the OP.
People tend to criticize what they don't believe or what they don't fully understand, or that doesn't meet their standards. Since Bitcoin was created and since it started gaining its momentum, Bitcoin had been criticized, and guess what some or maybe most of the people who doubted and criticized crypto are now investors or even supporters of it. People are always scared of change, innovation, and what is new so they question it.

people loves to criticize what they believe is wrong but that mindset suddenly changed when they see that bitcoin is now starting to get popular . now many people throw away thier pride and finally joined bitcoin .government acceptance and other forms of marketing can really help spread awareness , if these things are only easy we can remove peoples doubts effortlessly and gather them on here .

on the op's list , the number 1 and 2 are the most that being debated about  . its true that btc was too volatile but others people prove that they can still use btc for that purposes
980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: November 19, 2020, 07:31:37 AM
Yes, you are right. If every business can follow the government rules, that can help the country's economy grow and they can have better development in the future. So if the casino which can make a lot of money from the gambling industry can pay the taxes which will be bigger than the other business, I am sure that can help the government. Every help from the business owner will be worth it for the government to run their countries and help other people in this pandemic.
What if the casino is virtual and how do you propose on taxing them if they are registered and located in a free heaven. It is impossible for them to tax them, all they can do is impose a complete ban of online gambling and encourage gambling houses to register with the government to get the approval to run the site,
if that is the only way to get rid of the illegal gambling that are happening online , i will support that movement  . not only that we can combat tax evaders but we can also combat those scammers . they will think twice to scam if they are already registered under the government because the efforts that they make on making thier business legal will be wasted and they cant also hide because they already provided thier records right at the start . tax can be a big help now that countries are suffering from the effects of the covid19 .
