961  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The exit plan on: July 03, 2023, 06:44:17 AM
As a crypto investor that desire to make huge profit through Cryptocurrency, there is 100% need to know what exit plan is and how to effect it appropriately. I know most of us are not too experience in the Crypto line and it is best to learn from those with this experiencial knowledge.

To all experienced Bitcoin investors, kindly share your experience with us, let's learn and become expose to the reality and strategy before the next bull run. This is another means to help young investors like us.
What are your exit plan and what exit plan have you used that work well for you.

One of the most important things in trading is having an exit plan, most beginner trading straight up investing in cryptocurrency without knowing the importance of having an exit plan for your trade. When buying cryptocurrency your gonna need to always set your target, I mean if you're just going to buy/invest in it and then just let it rest for years you're probably going to earn at some point but you don't utilize the cycle of the market and maximize your profit on your trading. Also, it wasn't easy to see your investment drop at some point, so it always best thing to take profit every time you're going to have the opportunity, you could have some predictions thinking that it might reach a certain price but always remember to set your price and know which to take profit because getting greedy could just make you lose money in the end. The best thing to do is just to buy every time you have the opportunity or something like dollar cost average is a good start.

There was no point on investing if you're not going to sell in the end if you just want to HODL your investment forever that would not make sense, unless your already have a lot of money that could sustain you or buy whatever you want, your just investing for the future of your sons or family.
962  Other / Meta / Re: What does post quality really mean on: July 03, 2023, 05:38:31 AM
Alot of persons on this forum always advise newbies on post quality.my question is simple and on behalf of other newbies like my self is it necessary to monitor your activity and post count in comparison with your merits

Like does it mean  someone with and account say
Activity;50
Merit;87
Post;51

Has more quality post or is a better poster than someone with say
Activity;100
Merit;87
Posts;150

I guess you're having the wrong perception here mate merits, posts, and activity don't matter the quality of the post will just depend on the quality of the post itself. I mean yes high-rank members will have higher posts or merits received and probably could make more quality post than someone that is just a newbie,  but that doesn't mean that all newbies don't have quality posts, newbies definitely could make quality posts Even though he or she was just a newbie, but the higher rank like legendary for sure have a lot of experience on cryptocurrency and would probably make a quality post most of the time. Also the longer the length of the post doesn't mean its a quality post, you need to check the contest of the post, sometimes the post answer was just direct to the point.

You could just depend on the information it has in a post, like sharing experiences knowledge, etc, and if it does answer the topic or the question of the OP you could say that it is a quality post.

963  Economy / Economics / Re: Effects of Crypto and Bitcoin on the Economy on: July 02, 2023, 04:15:08 PM
It is very important to design and implement crypto regulations thoughtfully, ensuring that they do not unduly restrict the evolution of the technology and compromise the principle of openness and decentralization of crypto, crypto regulations cannot completely prevent criminals from using cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. Criminals used other forms of cash finance and other traditional financial systems before the advent of crypto. Crypto can be used to create financial transactions of unknown origin and hide large amounts of money.
Crypto regulations can help prevent money laundering and illegal financial activity by requiring crypto exchanges to maintain KYC rules and coordinate with anti-money laundering agencies in detecting and preventing suspicious activity. Careful regulation and oversight can help prevent fraudulent activities, market manipulation, and crypto value inflation. This can ensure the stability and reliability of the cryptocurrency market, attracting sustained participation and investment.

However, in my opinion, criminals are more interested in using cash. Cryptocurrencies are characterized by the fact that they run on a blockchain. And, as you know, on a blockchain you can track all transactions, even if the transactions are mixed. Therefore, saying that cryptocurrencies are used by criminal structures and therefore they should be banned are words that should not be heeded
Come on, it's just an exaggerated story.
In this case, I do not deny that there is a crime that originates from fraud or allows robbery by coercion of wallet seizures and hacks, but this is only a small part of the majority of existing crimes.
This is just one way to weaken and of course what is being targeted in this case is bitcoin which is indeed the most difficult to stop its movements. but of course we also can't make conditions better because crime is always there wherever and whenever there is an opportunity. but what must be considered in this case is not about bitcoin or its blockchain because indeed this thing bitcoin and blockchain are only objects that they target does not mean that it is a bad thing that exists because it is irresponsible people who make this bad.

Agree with that, I mean bitcoin was just some kind of tool that is used in some illegal transactions and that doesnt mean that Bitcoin is a bad thing that is illegal to use something like that. Criminals are just taking advantage of what Bitcoin can do but most of the time you don't really need to worry about this kind of thing, I mean I've been buying and selling Bitcoin for years and didn't really encounter problems that are related to these illegal transactions. I heard some cases where on centralized platforms where they encounter some problem because the banks or platform have issues where your Bitcoin or funds came from, but not to the point where they confiscated or freeze your account and you cannot get your funds anymore. If you didn't really do anything illegal at all you don't need to worry about these things.

I guess we can't really prevent this kind of thing I mean fiat money is used in illegal transactions as well, it was just the nature of Bitcoin for sure when it comes to regulation there will be a lot of complications since Bitcoin in my opinion was not supposed to be regulated because its a decentralized.

964  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which one of this is important most? on: July 01, 2023, 11:59:15 PM
I have been thing of this thread for a while now and I have checked a little if there's any but I haven't seen any of it , so a beginning to ask if the post is not quality enough to be posted on this forum or if my research wasn't well searched.
The illustration of this topic is kinda common these days on the forum and the new comers (brawn new and newbies) I don't know if other top ranked users make such mistakes, some of these users post things thinking they can be merited but forgotten about there reputation on the forum, some of these users don't know that their reputation is more important than there ranked on the forum, so it keeps me wondering about merits and reputation which one of this is more important in the forum?.

There are a lot of member accounts here in the forum that is ruined because of bad reputation, for sure reputation is more important here in the forum because you could have a high-rank profile by earning a lot of merits but at the same time bad reputation like for example you are tag to something like scamming. Your profile doesnt really matter anymore even though you are a legendary rank member here in the forum it wouldn't matter anymore since no one would trust you anymore at some point because your reputation is already ruined.

I mean merits and reputation had connections but are still different things, you get merits by doing high-quality posts and you could rank up by doing that, your reputation will depend on your contribution to the forum that includes your high-quality post, etc you're going to slowly get recognize and earn trust/reputation in the forum. Reputation is still the priority following the rules should be the basic and if you dont follow that you're going to have a bad reputation and probably get ban.
965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KYC propagation beyond my ownership on: July 01, 2023, 11:35:17 PM
Hi all,

Sorry for the confusing title. I'll try to explain:

What if I buy some KYC Bitcoin through an exchange and then move it to a wallet. And then, let's say I either give some of that Bitcoin to someone else (maybe a charity or a friend), or use it to buy something (maybe a used car off Craigslist). At this point, from my perspective, I no longer own that Bitcoin (i.e. it is "beyond my ownership"). But now what if the person who now "owns" that Bitcoin uses it for some illegal purpose? I would have no knowledge of that transaction, but my KYC has "propagated" to the new owner. If that transaction were to be traced, assuming it hadn't been linked with KYC transactions with the new owner's identity, I would still be the last owner of the transaction from a chain analysis perspective, right? This is not something I've heard discussed before (but admittedly I'm new hear). Seems like a risk.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

You don't really need to worry about that if you buy it from P2P trading you're probably going to be fine even though you get Bitcoin is linked to some illegal transactions, Maybe at some point, if your using a certain platform the worst case scenario is they are going to freeze your money, but in my experience, it doesnt really make sense since there will not be enough evidence to support there claims if you actually link to the transactions. I mean there are a lot of mixers out there maybe they could ban all of the transactions that came from illegal mixers but surely it's going to be a big issue for their platforms.

Also, your KYC doesnt really link to your Bitcoin so you don't need to worry about it, there are only a limited amount of Bitcoin so no one really knows if your Bitcoin is linked to illegal transactions, and if yes there are already a lot of transactions happened on that BItcoin does it mean that all of that transactions are illegal. In my experience, just don't worry about it if you didn't really do anything that is illegal you have nothing to fear about it, unless if you actually have some illegal activities.
966  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will fall or rise? $30400 the recent price on: July 01, 2023, 11:03:07 PM
After the SEC did not want to approve bitcoin spot ETF, bitcoin fall from $31000 back to $30400 as of today price. Bitcoin has been staying between $29400 and $31250 since many days. The support as been at $30000 while the resistance as been at $31000. The market is difficulty to know which position to take. What are you people predicting that bitcoin price would be? Is bitcoin breaking the resistance and increase above $31000 which could take the price to $35000, or bitcoin price is getting back to $25000 again?

I mean it's still really early in my opinion Bitcoin market price could stay at 20k-30k$ for months and I think it's a good market price to accumulate Bitcoin, at any time course bitcoin market price could easily skyrocket, we saw it drop from 30k$ to around 25k$ which quickly recover. And I think it's a good opportunity for investors to invest and accumulate more Bitcoin while the market price is still at 30k$ and still didn't skyrocket.

The trick is to stay HODL your Bitcoin since might skyrocket at any moment, But I was hoping for the market price to stay at 20k$ since there is still a lot of time for the Bitcoin halving hype, I think the Bitcoin halving could easily hype the market and potentially could lead to bull run if the market followed the pump. I want to buy more Bitcoin and I'm waiting for a opportunity if the market price could still drop, but I still bought every Bitcoin every 2 weeks ever the price is just to continue to grow my portfolio and be ready for the bull run soon.
967  Other / Meta / Re: Keeping old and new Topics alive on: July 01, 2023, 10:37:17 PM
Bitcointalk has so many Topics that even some newbies don't know about even myself and those topics are very important. I've being wondering why some of these interesting topics are not always active like we forget about them that easy and it makes users who are not aware of it to even open a similar one and before you know it you start seeing links from nowhere that are related.

The thing is why can't we continue to keep those topics alive instead we over look them even when we have something to talk about, we prefer going for new topics.

How can we keep those topics alive instead of dumping them and allowing dust to cloud them?

I mean its normal that most of the topics are not active anymore, and the discussions are surely going to end at some point, It was still in the forum so if the topic becomes a trend again someone could easily bump it up at any time if they want to start a discussion or just wanted to reply to that post. I mean it's dynamic there are a lot of things that change technology keeps on improving so there are a lot of new topics that are going to be made. Also, there are topics that are just questions about some things, if the OP's question is already answered they can lock that thread already since the OP is already satisfied with the answer. There are topics that are going to be the same like for example topics about ordinals I remember there are a lot of threads that is related to ordinals

These old topics are not dumped or dusted into the cloud, This topic is still saved in the cloud and anyone could still reply and see this topic which is really useful for a lot of members, members could just read the discussions online, and this topics also appear on google searches so it's definitely useful which is the reason the goal of the forum.
968  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best opportunity to harvest your hodl results? on: July 01, 2023, 10:20:14 PM
I see like a lot of mess is going on around. That is why my question stands. Should it be family reasons? Will you buy a new house/island? What is your answer to the question?

The answer obviously depends on you, but the important thing here is to always set your goal for example set a market price target where you're going to sell or set a goal that you're going to buy like for example a house if you sell your Bitcoin. If you strategize your entry and exit in the market you could potentially earn more compared to when you're just going to buy and hold forever and doesnt know when you're going to sell holding for years. I mean we have a bear and bull market and everyone could take advantage of that cycle but this is still a long-term investment.

So if the market price reach 100k$ are you going to sell at that point? or you're going to wait until it reaches 200k$ or even a million dollars. I mean it's not a bad idea since you're not going to lose if you're not going to sell, But it's always better for every investor to always take profit, so I guess if you think that you have a fair or great amount of profit always maybe if already time to sell and take profit. Because you could easily reinvest and get another opportunity in the future.

Dear newbies pls don't rush into making Bitcoin investments like selling a property very valuable to you just to impress on the forum or putting in your entire savings to purchasing Bitcoin I am not against making Bitcoin investments but
Before making Bitcoin investments always make sure the odds are safe for you  like some members here will say  "" make investments that will not affect you" in other words make investments with free money  except you have more profiting ideas than hodling

I am sure this is what other investors here do

I would pick the real state over Bitcoin, Im investing in Bitcoin to buy real estate, and I'm not going to sell for example my house to buy Bitcoin I mean yes Bitcoin could make you a millionaire but it was just too risky of an investment, buying real estate is just way safer investment that could generate income. Probably most of the members will tell you to only invest the money that you could afford to lose and it's true because of the volatile market price cryptocurrency is probably one of the riskiest investments where you could put your money to.

There was probably no shortcut to it, the safest way is to find a stable income like for example a job, invest in your knowledge and skills in order to land a high-paying job, and with that, you have a stable income where you could put the small percentage of it on bitcoin. Also, don't let your emotion get to you, if your investment drops a certain percentage and you get FUD and sold it you're going to lose money for sure. But in my experience, you're not going to lose unless you sell your holdings.

I know the thread is old but your portfolio looks great, and I'm sure many people would love to have their pictures taken to another level of attraction. As for rates, it's totally cool to negotiate and find a fair price that works for both parties, haha.
By the way, have you considered accepting Bitcoin, PHP, ETH, or XRP as payment? It's cool to offer different options for your clients. Oh, and check out https://www.frameshop.com.au/custom-picture-frames/! They have some awesome options for customizing and framing pictures. Keep up the great work, and I hope you have lots of success with your photo editing business!

976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Buys Bitcoin When The Price is 100k$? on: June 27, 2023, 03:17:26 AM
When you buy Bitcoin hen the price is 100k$ then how much will you sell it back to make profit because at that time the price of Bitcoin might not exceed 100k$ and if the price didn't not exceed that amount you will become a loser in the business so how does the vendors do at that time?
Or you buy at that time and thinking that it will go up to 200k$ but ironically, the price come below 100k$. What will be you faith/fate. Many companies stopped function last year because they accumulated a lot of Bitcoin when the price was high and they were thinking that the price would go up for them to sell them off and make their profit from there but instead the price of Bitcoin drastically come down very well. So the companies  enter bankruptcy and folded. So exchange are trying to avoid such mistakes, so that they can run a long journey.

Will the price pass 100k$ next year 2024 for buys to make their gain?

Well, I would probably buy, I mean it was the same at times like this where we still buy Bitcoin when the market price was still around 20k$, I mean if the market price of Bitcoin was just 100$ would you still buy Bitcoin at 20k$? the answer is yes right because at that point no one knows that the market price of Bitcoin is going to reach 20k$ at some point which is why a lot of early investors earn a huge amount of profit.

For sure buying at that 100k$ is a huge risk for a lot of investors but if the market stabilizes at that market price it would easily be common buying at that certain price that just means the ATH is going to be higher probably 500k$ or even million. We all believed on Bitcoin but it still depend on how much your going to risk on it.

980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A bitcoin retirement plan with a disturbing length of years. on: June 25, 2023, 12:29:54 PM
I have this colleague of mine at workplace who is a bitcoin enthusiast just like me. Often times at work when we're less occupied with our job we kind of spend such moment's  discussing about bitcoin generally. Two days ago he was telling me about his plans to start buying BTC with 20% of his salary every month for the rest of the years he has to retirement that's when he will then take it all. And based on the company total years of service he has 16 years left to his retirement.

With the way he was talking to me about it he appears to know exactly what he's about to do and how its going to end for him. But for me his idea has left some apprehension and questioning in my head due to the length of years (good 16 years) he is going to keep up with. From my angle the years are too much as no one can certainly say for sure about what the future of cryptocurrency and bitcoin holds despite how positive it could be looking today.

In my opinion I wanted to talk to him with a logical conclusion why he should reduce the length of years, not to do it at a stretch of straight 16years he has in mind without applying risk management technique, maybe by splitting those 16years into four interjecting years. As in he should in every 4 years be taking 50% of whatever total amount plus profit  till it gets to the 16years he planned. At least in worst case scenario this method could save him something reliable to fall back onto.

How do you guys think about this idea of mine for my colleague? Can it really be helpful to him in the long run or it may just obstruct his original plan killing the whole idea?  Please all opinions are entertained but whatever your opinion might be, also try to put the length of years involved into consideration.(16 years)

I mean it wasn't actually a bad idea, for sure investing in Bitcoin for years is great and it might actually and could easily give you a huge amount of profit in the future. But what he just needs to do is just to observe the market and be updated on it, and at the same time learn how to sell and buy, its actually an advantage since he could just HODL for a long time because the money was just for his retirement so that means he could buy and sell when the price increase or drop at any moment.

He just needs to watch out on bear and bull run since if he's just going to HODL for 16 years that might not make any sense, I mean its possible that it's going to be a huge profit but it doesnt really guarantee retirement, The best way to do it is to watch the bear and bull run market, at least sell a small percentage or half of it on a bull run and rebuy again on the bear market. With that, you could easily guarantee the profit since you are taking profit every time the market price skyrocket.
