961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin competition. on: July 22, 2023, 10:52:21 AM
My new thought about the low investors rate on Bitcoin, this came to my mind this evening and I want to share my thoughts with everyone and not keeping it alone.
Bitcoin investors are much more than altcoins we all know that but thats not important, the important thing is Bitcoin is supposed to have more investors now if only their was no altcoins in the market, if you checked the numbers of investors you will understand what am trying to say. The competition in the market is making more investors not to invest more capital on Bitcoin.
If we use our fiat banks as an example, imagine we have only one bank in the country every citizens will want to open the bank and starts using it but if the banks are more people will spread and use other Banks.
If there's only Bitcoin in the market more investors will invest in Bitcoin because there is no competition. Although the price rate is much more than other coin, but people will still invest on altcoins because that's how Bitcoin price started so low.

It could be, but as humans there is bound to have some sort of competition or at least there will be options, and that's why altcoin market was invented in the first place.  It's an "alternative" to BTC.

At least though we are still in the 40%++, so it means that bitcoin dominates the market even though there are like thousands of altcoins out there. So that is good enough to hear that and obviously, bitcoin has a lot of investors, including government, institutions and retail investors just like the majority of us.
962  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Rise of Crypto Gambling: What You Need to Know on: July 21, 2023, 02:27:59 PM
Ever since the introduction of cryptocurrency, gambling platforms have also switched their operations requirements with making crypto deposit for gambling stake by creating users with online gambling wallet after their registration, they could hold this volatile cryptocurrencies in those accounts and use their fund to gamble anytime they so wish, in so doing this, their coins remains an asset being on the wallet because it can increase whenever the crypto market rises, gamblers now prefer cryptocurrency gambling whereby some developers have also invented their own crypto coin their platform could support among others, in which this has made gambling more easier than before to enjoy.

It's two fold, it can either go down or go up, bear and bull market, and so it's not always favor crypto based casino. But for us gamblers, it's very easily early on, we just need a wallet address for deposit and withdrawal and that's it.

Not there are KYC's to be send just to be able to withdraw. So it become so complicated for us. But I guess we love crypto based casinos that we still go and continue to play with top tier casino and enjoy whether the price goes down or we have a bull run.
963  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is ready for $40k on: July 21, 2023, 02:13:03 PM
The chart of bitcoin price that is showing positive in bitcoin chart can we believe that bitcoin price is relying on chart to strength effect in market, because I have seen so many people analysing the price of bitcoin with chart and after predicting with the chart of the Market and later bitcoin falls, does it mean that the people who present the chart does not know exactly what the arrow of the chart means why if they predict positive in the chart and the price bitcoin will go negative, and why so many people and predictors get different predictions of bitcoin price in the market

I don't think it's showing positive chart, on the other hand, we are already in a dip and so the chart might be pointing that the price will go down obviously. But the thing is that TA is not 100% accurate so who knows, maybe we can go to $30k again and stay on that price.

Short term, like in the next 3 months, for me, Im seeing the price that it could go as high as $40k. We might see a bullish chart specially approaching Christmas time as I will assume that bitcoin enthusiast are going to buy in preparation of the bull run.
964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Sells or Buy influence the market value ? on: July 21, 2023, 02:00:56 PM
I'm not really sure what the OP wanted to say, but obviously,

a. if big whales sell and it was seen by speculators then they might panic and sell as well
b. if big whales buy and it was seen by speculators then they might buy as well
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEWARE: AI TRADER ($AIT) IS ANOTHER $TERK-LIKE SCAM on: July 20, 2023, 08:52:45 AM
I'm not familiar with this ($AIT). But I do agree that it's better to give the community a heads-up about this kind of scams. I mean this has been prevalent at the start of 2018 wherein airdrops is very hot that time and it gives higher dividends and everyone is receiving it in their wallet without any attachments, and the project that are giving are real and genuine.

But after that hype, many projects turns out to be a scam or using airdrop as one method to steal money. So again, be very careful, if the projects is asking you to deposit some eth or any other crypto to received the airdrop then it's a scam and stay away from it.
966  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be patient and you will be there soon. on: July 20, 2023, 08:12:57 AM
With the number of users continuing to increase, it makes us have good hopes that the future of bitcoin will be bright, this is because more and more people are curious and interested in investing in bitcoin even though there are still many countries that are banned, another thing is the presence of social media which makes it easy for anyone looking for information about the most profitable types of investment.

Are your referring to the global adoption? yeah, year by year the numbers are growing obviously. As more people are getting interested on it and so they invest which means that the ecosystem will continue to flourish.

And as the title suggest, we need more patience, it's been a bear and bull market here. So far we are still in the bear market so the price is just so-so. But at least we are not seeing any lowest low. We have bounce back already, but there could be more in the next bull run, new ATH for us that's for sure. So we need to wait more and endure this bear market for now.
967  Economy / Economics / Re: Do your work. on: July 20, 2023, 07:54:45 AM
"Making money is action, keeping money is a behavior and growing your money is knowledge." And you cannot make your grow your money as a employee in someone else company.

We all have different occupations some have their own business or some are working and helping the owner to grow their business in professional way. I want to tell something to those people, who don't have any skill yet. According to my experience I have learn one thing in my life, being skilled is most crucial. In my old company where I was working one of my female friend loss her job but Luckily somehow she became skill while working on same company like parkour tanning. When we both loss our job. As a result she start earning with her skill but I remain jobless with zero income.

And this is not being thought in small, but this is true, we can't be rich and have financial freedom if we are going to work thru the rest of our lives. Sooner or later we will have to put a business or become a entrepreneur and hopefully succeed one day.

Of course, we need some education or at least graduate with a college course. But then if we really love to pursue and have a good career, then a individual will have to have a ambition in life and for sure success will come later.
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you quit that's when you lose! on: July 20, 2023, 07:38:12 AM
There's a popular  remark among gamblers in the part of  my country I reside. The saying is expressed like this "if you quit that's when you lose".  They use this statement to encourage and give futuristic hope to themselves that no matter how much they loss today or how many wagers they have lost they don't need to quit as it's possible you may be the next jackpot winner tomorrow. For it's like say don't quit yet there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.

It's popular remark for gamblers but I would agree with what the majority says, it's not true. When you quit if you have money then how will you lose then? It just make gamblers more addicted to it if you have this mindset in my opinion.

Everything is based on pure luck though, so you will not know what is going to be the outcome. And for the majority, maybe it's better to stop at some point and quit if you are winning and then just continue to play tomorrow, simply as that.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 18, 2023, 05:45:09 PM
On a positive note, if Haney vacates his lightweight titles then we will probably see Shakur vs. Lomachenko which is one of the best matchups that can possibly be made.
This is even more exciting as Loma is still not considered a leftover despite his loss to Haney. It was a close fight, and some believe Loma actually won. So if this fight were to happen, it would give Loma a chance to prove himself once again. And in case he beats Shakur, it would be a significant success for him, causing people to forget his loss to Haney.

Yeah, I think Shakur has been calling Haney or even Tank Davis for a fight at 135 lbs.

But if Haney goes up to 140 lbs, then it's going to be a ramble as he will vacant all the belts obviously. So it will be Stevenson, Loma and Tank Davis left at 135 lbs and most likely, a Loma vs Stevenson can be made easily as both are under Top Rank if I'm not mistaken.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 18, 2023, 04:37:11 PM
With James harden trying to force his way out of Philly to the clippers, Ben Simmons shipped out & Markelle Fultz being a flop, it seemed like Philly was resting its hopes on Joel Embiid. Well, now Embiid is saying he doesn’t care what team he plays for, he just wants a championship. It looks like ‘Trust the Process’ may officially be a failure soon.

I guess him winning the MVP might have change his thought process. And probably he see what happen to other passed MVP, it's just a individual accolade and the most important thing is to really winning a ring.

Specially those who played in a team in the last couple of years. KCP for example has won 2 ring in the last 3 years. First with the Lakers and recently with the Nuggets. He doesn't have MVP or something, but winning 2 NBA rings is a bigger achievement in my opinion.

Although there is indeed a chance for Spence to make a fool of himself by making excuses like an injury.

If I remember before, during the rumored (or supposed?) fight between Spence Jr. and Keith Thurman at 152, the former's camp claimed that their boxer is not that fit anymore or in good shape to fight at 147 and consider it as one of the reason why Spence will moved up weight and won't fight Crawford. Regardless if that's true or not, still props to him for finally accepting the fight with Crawford and now finally settle the deal that takes several years in the process.

I can't say that both boxers are still at their respective peak, like the way they performed during their prime, but referring to being in "good shape", I think Terence Crawford do have much of that characteristic. Not spoiling the fun or being negative but as I previously said before, not until the day of the fight, there's still a chance that this fight might lead into unexpected scenario "knowing how Spence's camp drama and behaves" since then.

I like to add on that, just how Spence failed the fans during the schedule fight against Pacquiao, and same with you, until we are
not seeing them both inside the ring, there's still a chance that it won't happen.

Yes, and it could be a different outcome? But we all know that Spence suffered a eye injury or at least it was found on the pre-medical before they fight. So it's kinda disappointing not to him with the legend and it won't happen again. So it's a big lost for Spence more than for any boxer.

Though in terms of giving credits for both camps for signing and making these to happen, I would say they should bring this much earlier.
But, on the other hand, it's better than never, right?

True, at least both camps have settled down and talk about the fight and all agreed about the split and who will get the most money and then they included a rematch clause just in case. And now we are just weeks from this fight happening.

Big contract for Jaylen Brown.

I read that Jaylen Brown could sign a maximum contract of $304 million with the Boston Celtics.
If this is true, the last year of the contract will be $ 70 million.

That's huge for Brown, him and Tatum has been the face of Boston Celtics for years. And now that Marcus Smart is gone, he could be very influential to the team right now. Hopefully, Boston will blossom and reach the finals again or even win.

Again, him and Tatum are blending well in the last couple of years and they should be around their prime years right now.

So it's good to see that he has been rewarded by the Celtics management.
973  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will you sell...next bull run? on: July 15, 2023, 01:27:28 AM
As an investor on bitcoin,I know that most people invested to make profit by buying their bitcoin and try their possible best to hold on to their bitcoin till the next bull run, which will be a perfect time to sell and make profit. My question goes like this
1. What price do you think that bitcoin will hit in the next ATH.
2. When do you plan to sell and make good profit from your bitcoin portfolio,is it next bull season or the next two bull market, because bitcoin price is always tempting during the bull run. Give me your target price that you will be happy to sell off your bitcoin.
Let's discuss.
Given my current situation of things presently I don't think not selling some of my BTC would be a good idea although I try my best to maintain a certain amount which I can sell and then DCA it back when am on funds because the nature of my work and background doesn't put on ground as an ideal bitcoin holder but the major fact about my investment is that am actually consistence in buying bitcoin as am also consistent in selling small portion of it to carter for my urgent needs.

My predictions on the price of BTC in the next ATH will be at exactly 100k to 120k USD  per BTC and my prayer is that I would have gather enough in my portfolio before this actually happens.

Or just continue to accumulate simply as that. Yes this is still the best time to do it, but as far as my experience goes, I do try to accumulate in the bull run and still very profitable.

I do agree that we will see 6 digits and ATH could be around $120k-$150k.

More than that it will be a bonus to us. So again, there is no secret, just buy and continue to do DCA.
974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is done! Now this is what we are left with! on: July 15, 2023, 01:09:34 AM
This thought came to my mind today.

What if there's this news that says "Bitcoin mining is over. All the Bitcoin has been mined and all the leftovers are burned. We are left with what we have in our hand"?

I know Bitcoin mining will be over one day. Many sources say that it will be over in the year 2140. So let's just imagine ourselves at that point in time and discuss how the situation will play out. That's why I am saying that it may happen today. How this will impact the whole crypto world?

  • Will we be able to see stability in Bitcoin prices? Or price dump? how will this play out?
  • Positive impact or negative impact?
  • Will people still be interested in Bitcoin?

I can not shake off this curiosity in my mind. So let's talk about that. Tell me your thoughts. What this event is going to do to the crypto world.

You don't need to wait till 2140, if i'm not mistaken, almost all bitcoin could be mined by 2032.

Of course there will still be incentives, but the question is how big is the price of bitcoin that time? I don't see any negative impact if almost all bitcoin has been mined or the contrary, it's going to be limited and scarce so obviously there is speculation that we might see 7 digits = 1 BTC.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple XRP has been ruled a security on: July 14, 2023, 08:56:27 AM
Yes, but at least it's good to finally hear that this is over for now. And this should be a landmark case against SEC. Not sure if they will appeal to it, but I doubt that they will do that.

So congrats to bag holders, it paid off the time that you keep on holding XRP for years now.

Time to celebrate and maybe sell some of your stash and get some profits.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: July 14, 2023, 08:16:20 AM
Just go and check the results of tennis today,Europa Conference League,Champions League preliminaries some days ago and you will see a lot of surprise results. These surprise results are common since the gambling and betting on sports started, back in the days of Pele,Kroif and many other legendary players we did not see such surprise results this common and this often. This does not mean that football is better today,in fact completely the opposite, football because of gambling companies interfering some times by bribing the players of a team or a president of the team, makes gambling absolutely a not so steady income, maybe in the past you could do well with sport betting but right now it is impossible.

Yeah, sometimes upsets do really happen in any sports game, even at 1.01 odds, there are still a very little chance that you are going to lose. It's very unfortunate because I remember that there is one thread about this whale betting on that odds with millions of dollars and then losing on that incredible odds. On the other hand, there are gamblers that are very lucky to have a parlay of 100x and then won that odds.

So it shows that gambling is really unpredictable and we shouldn't treat it as a steady income. The best thing for gamblers or at least that is not yet addicted is to control themselves and look for a good job or maybe invest some money on business and not rely on gambling.
977  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will you sell...next bull run? on: July 14, 2023, 08:05:21 AM
Really depends on how much you are holding in my opinion.

Maybe if you are holding less than 1 BTC, then it's best to wait till the top price (although it's hard to time it, but as previous bull run, it's either around Nov-Dec, so most likely in this case, could be around that 2025).

I like the ladder method though, if you have more than 1 BTC, I think that will also be very effective plan on how to sell your stash and get the profits that you wanted.
978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just completed my first totally air-gapped transaction... on: July 14, 2023, 06:12:32 AM
Using a Coldcard

I really like this idea... sometimes I can be too paranoid for my own good

So I bought a Coldcard ( with hardshell case and magnetic usb cable )

I sent a few sats, using Sparrow wallet... worked flawlessly... nothing connected... just sign the transaction on device, save to mini sd card, then load that file onto your PC, and into Sparrow to finalize.

Are you proud of me?

If you hadn't done it before then good for you, at least the experience is now under your belt and thanks for sharing, others too might try this one out and see how it goes for them.

In seems though that for beginners, it looks like it's a complicated process. So maybe it's better to just try for a few sats and see how it goes for you.
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Durning bull market we will received many good bounty? on: July 13, 2023, 11:56:37 AM
The bounty time almost death now so if bull market will coming then we can received lot of good bounty!
There are no good bountys available to earn money right now. So what's your target? When we will received good bounty?

Good bounties are always available on forum. During bull market their number goes up but even in bearish market you can find good bounties.
You say there is no good bounty available now but the one you wearing the signature of is indeed a good bounty.

Some bounty pays in BTC while other pays in tokens. Sometimes tokens paid bounties turned out to be bad because these tokens either fail to get listed on good exchange or they are badly dump.
We have to be smart in choosing bounties because not all of them are good,
always do your research first and that's the important part,
that's the risk bounty hunters have to face.

Assuming that, we should also think that bounties hype might be over, as there are projects that are not that paying good for their bounty participants. And as you have said, not all of them are good, and maybe they have bad intentions in the beginning.

And if you go to the scam accusation board, you will see some projects are being accused of not paying their participants. The sad part is that the bounty manager are also being drag on it, and most likely they are going to be tag negatively.
980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it Advisable joining Bitcoin signal group? on: July 13, 2023, 11:42:23 AM
I have been reffered to join some signal groups but considering how everyone is claiming to no almost everything about Bitcoin trading which actually they did not, which resulted for many people to lose their money because of Crypto signal groups, were as they put almost all their money thinking the signal is a sure, little did they know they were making a terrible mistake.

I could remember a Bitcoin signal group I joined, as someone that has less knowledge about trading and how sure the group signal works, so I decided to seat back and watch how the trade will work, on the contrary it moves opposite direction and that was not the first time, what they normally do was to get some screenshots from other successful traders and posted on there telegram group to draw more attention so people could pay before joining. Though from my findings from othe traders I was able to deduce that not all group signals are false that most times it works exactly the way they predicted and most time reversal.

So what do you guys think, let's share knowledge.

It's really hard to join any group though, not just bitcoin trading signal group. I mean you don't know who are the admin or the people behind. Maybe they will just pretend that they have the knowledge, but in the end they are just like the rest of us here, making wild and educated guess.

So fo me, it doesn't make sense to join. But still though, it's up to you, it's your money anyways that are going to be burn. So just be careful and maybe if you want then you might as well go with free signal trading group first.
