961  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: September 13, 2016, 11:21:59 PM
Okay PM me updates regarding my balances every 2-3 days so i could create new one as soon the old one is drained.
My accounts ahmedjadoon and ahmedjadoon2
It would likely be a lot easier for you to use the FaucetBOX API on a separate page in order to get an updated statistic for your balance. Just something like this in a .php file should work (I believe):
Code:
<?php
$apiKey
'INSERTAPIKEYHERE';
echo
'Balance:' json_decode(file_get_contents('https://faucetbox.com/en/api/v1/balance/?api_key=' $apiKey))->balance_bitcoin 'BTC';
?>

This would show your balance in full Bitcoins, if you wanted it in Satoshi you could replace balance_bitcoin with just balance.
962  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: September 12, 2016, 02:10:22 PM
I'm not sure If it fits the description honestly (Still , It's up to you to decide), as It's not really a ponzi scheme , It's more like a malware.
If you check both btc4gen.com and bitcoinonline24.com , you will see that they ask you to download "BTC generators" which are executables.

After thinking about it, I will add this to the list. Thank you for the continued reports.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1320378.msg16222424#msg16222424

This looks like a scam promoter to me. His promoted site https://forexparadise.biz/ may look nice and all but his promised profits can't be real, they are too high. (130 BTC profit in one year for "investing" 0.25 BTC)
The site he is advertising is a HYIP (High Yield Investment Program). This is essentially a fancy acronym for a Ponzi/Pyramid scheme. Due to this, I won't add this site to the list.
If you are worried about his reputation regarding this, you can feel free to create a thread in Reputation about him for DT members to evaluate.
963  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: September 08, 2016, 06:19:55 PM
I assume that you missed the three websites I gave you few days ago ? as you didn't add them : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1326821.msg15974873#msg15974873
I did, my apologies.

URL : HybridMixer.com
Evidence : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1590396.new#new (It's pretty much confirmed now ,feel free to read the posts as I didn't add everything to the OP)
...
URL : btc4gen.com
I've added these two to the main list. Thank you for the reports, and sorry for being late.

URL : bitcoinonline24.com
I'm hesitant to add this one as it somewhat fits the description in the OP:
I have removed any obvious ponzi sites (E.G "Double your bitcoins in 2 days") from the list and they will not be added
While this may not be a legitimate ponzi site (as in it doesn't pay out), though it still fits the description.
964  Other / Meta / Re: Q: Should Lauda *really* be a moderator of bitcointalk A: no on: September 07, 2016, 10:30:54 PM
Except that Lauda does not have the ability to lock this thread because it is in a section he does not have moderating power over.
Regardless it would still be Lauda's fault; they would have extorted another staff member into doing it for them.
This and my previous post were sarcastic, for anyone confused.

Lauda does take affirmative actions to prevent others from criticizing him.
Considering this thread was made when the OP was a Newbie (their 14th post) and Lauda is a patroller (meaning they moderate newbies regardless of the section), why did they not take these 'affirmative actions' in the time between the thread being created and the OP becoming a Jr. Member?

This is evidenced by his heavy use of self moderated threads
Self Moderated threads can be used for other purposes than censorship.

and by his deleting replies that have been critical of him.
Ignoring the singular example of your post being deleted, can you provide any more proof of this?
965  Other / Meta / Re: Q: Should Lauda *really* be a moderator of bitcointalk A: no on: September 07, 2016, 07:32:22 PM
This thread needs binning, why the hell is it still open?
If it were to be locked, Lauda would obviously be stopping their opponents from criticizing them. It would be yet more proof that they are so shady.
966  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: September 07, 2016, 04:20:40 PM
Please add https://paloffers.com/ I bought an Amazon voucher but they never delivered, never responded e-mail, the phone number is disconnected and when I sent a tweet they made the Twitter account private.
Betking.  Promises u very interesting bonus,  then removes it once u register
Can both of you create a thread in Scam Accusations with any evidence you may have against these websites? Thanks.

You are in no place to criticize anyone else's sent trust.
I do not see positive feedback such as 'jason is a cutie !!!! i have a crush on him won't give me his skype though lol !!!!' as being appropriate at all, not to mention the insane amount of neg-spam left on this user.

Lead by example. You crying about misuse of the trust system is a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black.
968  Other / Meta / Re: I suggest to update SMF on: September 05, 2016, 07:52:43 PM
As far as I  can tell that new forum is being developed since dawn of time. There is no information about ETA.
It has been in development for a long period of time, yes. However, the beta of the new forum is currently live. It is not as far away as it once was.

I am not sure how hard is to update SMF but if that process is not something insanely problematic maybe forum crew shout try it?
There would be little point in doing so. Any security bugs that the new version would solve would likely be overshadowed by the amount of security holes fixed in the current version. To port these fixes over to a new version of SMF would take a lot of time and effort for very little reward.
969  Other / Meta / Re: I suggest to update SMF on: September 05, 2016, 07:38:03 PM
The forum is currently having new software developed; upgrading SMF would be a waste of time. In addition to this, AFAIK theymos has a lot of self made security fixes added to this specific version. It would be a pain to transfer those over.
970  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary one day? on: September 02, 2016, 11:38:38 PM
Wishful thinking? Nah...I should have been legendary already but i deleted 2200 posts.
IIRC that doesn't make a difference in when you achieve Legendary. The required activity is set once an account is made and does not change, regardless of how many posts are made or deleted.
971  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: September 02, 2016, 10:43:40 PM
Where is the file that has the variable $data["paid"] because when I try changing it in the index.php file, it doesn't show up in the website (using inspector). I've tried clearing cookies and cache already.
Thanks in advance.
libs/faucetbox.php I think.
It depends.
If the variable $refbalance is greater than 0, $data['paid'] is initialized on index.php at line 384.
Otherwise, if the faucet is paying out in Bitcoin then it uses the 'html' data from libs/faucetbox.php at line 115. If your faucet is another currency, then it uses the 'html_coin' data from line 116.
972  Other / Archival / Re: . on: September 02, 2016, 06:48:58 PM
Claiming my two tickets if you don't mind! Tx Id.
If possible, may I have #4d and #67?
Thanks. Grin
973  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: August 30, 2016, 04:00:45 PM
Paxful shouldn't be on this list...
Paxful.com is NOT a scam site...
Agree. Paxful is a peer to peer trading site no different than LocalBitcoins. I have made over 1400 trades on Paxful and rarely have problems. When I do, Marcos is able to help me.
I have not had any issues with the site Paxful...
I will not remove Paxful from the list entirely, however considering the amount of replies I have received I will place it on the 'Pending' list until further notice. Thank you all.

I don't know whether or not this is the right place but you should add coince as well.
They recently added 10 days pack with $500 minimum to invest and now after 3 days I haven't received my last withdraw.
However I only putted very small amount but just telling so people stop investing if they had any plans to do so.
I don't add obvious Ponzi scams to the list, please read the OP before replying.

Added to the list, thank you.

The below website doesn't have any active scam records but posting here for the near future since the owner of the site and the website itself is shady.
Website name : http://www.bitib.eu/
Website Owner : https://www.linkedin.com/in/bitibeu
Bitcointalk profile : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=881722
Please refrain from sending any bitcoins to this website as it looks like doubling bitcoin scam.
After a quick look around the site I can't find any place to deposit money, it seems they are just offering investment advice. Do you have any specific link as to where they're taking deposits?
974  Other / Meta / Re: Public list of yobit spammers(this one's gonna be long boys) on: August 27, 2016, 05:33:52 PM
This thread has nothing to do with the management of any of those campaigns and is just a bunch of people complaining.
Do you see how hilariousandco regularly replies to this thread? He is the manager of the YoBit campaign. This thread can very much help to get spammers banned.
975  Economy / Reputation / Re: OgNasty: "@Lutpin: Really should kill himself." on: August 26, 2016, 08:05:02 PM
I don't think you quite understand what a threat is; it is not dependent on whether there is any real base to what is said. For example, if I were to say "I'm going to come to your house and steal all of your Bitcoins" it would still be a threat regardless of my likelihood of following through with it.
Whether this threat was blown out of proportion is down to personal opinion, but people understand the language they are using. As if you don't.  Roll Eyes

I am a fool who apparently cannot properly read posts prior to replying to them. My apologies.
976  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] Rollin.io Signature & Avatar Campaign on: August 25, 2016, 02:43:05 PM
Thank you for the payment, however I am leaving this campaign. Thank you for a good month.
977  Other / Meta / Re: Marketplace trust on: August 24, 2016, 06:12:22 PM
Maybe I'm misunderstanding something here, but isn't that exactly what he should do: add the user he trusts to his trust network so that that user's ratings are seen as trusted?  The default trust settings are only supposed to be there as a placeholder until you actually have someone you trust or don't trust.
If he specifically trusts someone and would like to add them to his network, of course. I'm not trying to discourage him from adding people to his trust list or altering his trust network.
From his question, I assumed he was talking about making other users' trust ratings show by default, which is not possible if he is not a member of DT1.
Not that I am trying to boost my trust or anything; but in a perfect world should I make a change that would show this rating to others?
978  Other / Meta / Re: Marketplace trust on: August 24, 2016, 02:02:17 PM
Not that I am trying to boost my trust or anything; but in a perfect world should I make a change that would show this rating to others?  I am not going to do this because I would like to wait until I get an honest review from someone everyone trusts, if that happens; I am just learning more how the system works.
You can't do anything. In order for a trust rating to be seen by default the user that left it must be added to the DefaultTrust network. This happens by someone on DT1 adding this user to their trust list, therefore putting them in DT2.
If you were to do the same and add a user to your trust list, any trust ratings left by the user would be seen as default to you - no one else.

Don't try to force trust; it isn't seen kindly around here.
979  Economy / Reputation / Re: Changing Staked Address on: August 22, 2016, 11:15:19 PM
I need it to be seen and verified by a trusted user before I can do that.
Not really. If you lock the thread it would prevent me, or anyone else, from editing their post. Regardless, I'll bite (If I am trusted enough that is).
New address verified - Old address verified.

And I could not post it in that thread as I am changing it from one I posted in that thread. People on this forum may need a greater explanation as to why I'm changing it so It's own topic is a better option.
It is completely possible to post an explanation in the thread, and it is also completely possible to post that you're staking another address in that thread.
980  Economy / Reputation / Re: How to clear negatice trust on: August 22, 2016, 04:33:05 PM
Message cryptodevil and ask him nicely to remove your negative trust, only do so once you understand what you've done wrong however. If you don't then you will likely get your negative trust back again soon.

all my life depends on signature campaign days how I feed here in school
Maybe you should get a more stable job than posting on a Bitcoin forum, and maybe improve your literacy if you don't.
