961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maxcoin most promising of all altcoins on: May 15, 2014, 10:57:02 PM
There was so much Maxcoin trading on Poloniex, they had to DE-list it.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LATIUM on: May 15, 2014, 10:51:17 PM
hey guyz, don't buy this shit coin

I'm pretty sure this latium guy holds millions of coins for himself, and when it hits exchange he'll dump all of his coins then walk away...

he's not answering any question...

don't fall for free 5 shit latium...

He refuses to answer basic and important questions so I'm passing on this once in a lifetime offer.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LATIUM on: May 15, 2014, 10:41:56 PM
There is NO investment or money required to receive Latium.

It is available for free to everyone. Latium is based on production, unlike mining which causes massive energy consumption with very little output. Latium rewards users for spreading the word about Latium. The more it spreads, the more potential Latium has to become a viable medium of exchange.

If you would like to see LAT on a crypto exchange, please petition your exchange of choice to have it listed.

Can you tell us the total number of coins that will exist and if all will be distributed?
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LATIUM on: May 15, 2014, 09:53:50 PM
Looks very interesting. Different scheme.

How many coins total?

Will they all be distributed?
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FedoraCoin (TiPS); New style, new services, same unique features on: May 15, 2014, 09:37:36 PM
Thanks for the quick reply. Nice to meet you as well.

Could be a huge future for TIPS with that mixing feature. I will stay tuned.

966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FedoraCoin (TiPS); New style, new services, same unique features on: May 15, 2014, 09:25:00 PM
All I want to know is two things.

Is there an active dev or devs working on this coin?

Does the anonymity feature work perfectly? Someone mentioned it did not in an earlier post.

Darkcoin is selling like hotcakes and drksend is not even implemented. I suspect the Chinese market is very interested in anonymity with their current state of affairs with btc.

967  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's wrong with eating meat? on: May 13, 2014, 08:11:59 PM
Fish is meat, fish is an animal and fish (the dish) is flesh like red or white meat, fish is composed of proteins like other meats, well is it exactly the same as red meat?, no it isn't, it is as different as white meat is different from red meat. Preferring it over red meat? this can be legitimate and should be respected, but eating an animal and being vegetarian doesn't sound correct to me tho

But anyway, is anything wrong with eating meat? No nothing is wrong as long as it is not abused like with everything eating the necessary quantities of meat is as important as eating the necessary quantities of different vegetables to achieve a balanced diet, our bodies requires different elements in different quantities, and people saying otherwise on this thread are just spouting stupidity and hopefully will see the light instead of arguing just for the sake of arguing.

I can understand and respect, that some vegetarians don't eat meat, because it reminds them of the animals they came from and can support imagining them being killed, and this should be respected, but from there to say being purely vegetarian is better to health or makes you more intelligent or whatever is perfect none sense

You sum this topic up well. Well done and thankyou.
968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QBC] Québecoin - X11 - DGW - (BITTREX) - Win/Mac/Linux Wallets - New on: May 13, 2014, 08:07:54 PM
Out of curiosity I checked the dev posting history just now. He has posted here twice in the entire month of may. I don't even have that many Quebecoins, don't have a real vested interest in how the coin even does at this point, and I have posted here more than that.

Unless the dev has succumbed to a terrible maple syrup accident, I don't really see any excuse anymore. To say he's busy working on android wallets, or whatever, is still not an excuse.

Working on his next project? Look for a new IPO opening soon. If it offers a Celine Dion cd for the first ipo buyers run like hell ... LOL.

969  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst Movies You Have Ever Watched on: May 13, 2014, 06:26:24 AM
The movie, Philomena, was nominated for awards.

I thought it was pretty bad for a story based on true events.

I thought it dammed suspicious when Bter went down right as people were migrating their Vert to Mintpal's grand Vert opening.

Ok so over and over the same half a dozen people repeat "this coin is amazing" "strong buy indicators" etc honestly nice sentiments but absolutely no evidence to support these claims. We have been languishing for quite a while now, what is being done to actually improve the value of mint? Donations and merchant acceptance are all well and good but historically they haven't done much to prices.

There's a plan, but we need MintCoin Fund to be official first.

Ok, I will keep watching for updates, I am holding my coins for the long run regardless. It just gets a little annoying when every time I check this thread there are like 50 thousand posts from the same few people just saying over and over again OMG THIS COIN IS AMAZING! PRICE TO THE MOON! when the price is not increasing and nothing has really changed. Every time I check the thread I have to read through 3+ pages of posts and 80% of them are nonsense like that with 1 or 2 real updates / useful information posts buried in there.

Check out the blackcoin thread(s) and this one will look pretty good to you.

I do agree with Mint prices languishing. Not just Mint either. Other quality coins are suffering. I hope ppl get tired of the quick rich schemes, one pump shitcoins, and come back to quality products.

The recent flood of shitcoins and scams are bringing people back to honest, hard working coins like Mint.
973  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's wrong with eating meat? on: May 08, 2014, 04:03:37 PM
Funny thread.

I just watched a news story about vegetarians and they are not that healthy.

We are omnivorous creatures.

Eat steak and salad; pump iron; soon you be an Arnold.

I'm a little squeemish with meat. Don't like pork. Will not eat lamb or goat. Meat has to be well cooked. This medium rare shit does not fly with me.

Come on people. Give it up already. Qbc is dead in the water. JP jumped ship when he saw it was not going anywhere.

JP is missing in action? Most likely took a nice holiday.

For those who still hold coins, I am sorry.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So the AsiaCoin scam has now taken us to a new level....welcome. on: May 05, 2014, 11:40:44 PM
Scam coins could be a good thing. I don't know about Joe down the street but I look a lot harder at proven, established coins now. Sure the profits are smaller and take longer but at least you know the coins going to be around next week.

Ford and Beiber should be exiled to the USA.
977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpartanCoin - Cryptocoin for the competitive world. on: May 02, 2014, 07:20:47 PM
Agreed, what a nice thread and great community, not the usual spread of FUD! We all seem to be patient and behind the coin and know good things are to come in the future with Spartancoin. Keep up the good work

Nice to see posts like this.

I had a gut feeling about Spartan after exploring this thread. Dedicated dev and community is everything. I could not help but to buy in. Good work Spartans!

I'm voting all I can at Mintpal. Set my alarm clock for hourly chimes ... lol.
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QBC] Québecoin - X11 - DGW - (BITTREX) - Win/Mac/Linux Wallets - New on: May 02, 2014, 06:04:42 PM

Your activity on the thread post launch was detrimental. Do you have a time frame for these upcoming projects? Like someone mentioned the first 3 weeks after launch are super critical to a coins success.

Yeah, I'm not sure what is going on with the dev, but the time to be scarce isn't right after a coin's release. And definitely not when it's an IPO.

The price is still salvageable. I do suggest the dev stop in the forums at least once a day, if he can. Even if there is no real news, just to say what is being worked on, and future plans.

If you want an example of a coin with a non-present dev in the forums, look at maza. Bad things happen.

Yes. Without a doubt Mazacoin put the final nail in the nation coin coffin.
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SUN COIN - Many Exchanges, Big Price PUMPS, MultiPool paying SUN! on: May 02, 2014, 01:58:33 AM
Whats happening with the coin?

From what I've seen on the exchanges this coin was a straight pump and dump. thankfully I sold early.

Don't they all pump and dump? Isn't that how we make money trading? I've made a lot of money on Suncoin's spreads. It didn't happen overnight as many would hope.
980  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst Movies You Have Ever Watched on: April 29, 2014, 07:46:47 PM
Just about any chick flick is bad.

Sat through "bridges of Madison County" with the wife and it was all I could do to keep from hurling half digested popcorn all over the room.

"Joe" was bad. "The Lone Ranger" was horrible.

Most of those B horror movies and sci-fi are bad. "Hatchet" for example. Got to agree with "After Earth" being bad. That Smith kid cannot act but thinks he's a hot shot now.

"The devinci Code" and the first Hobbit movie made me sleep in the theatre.
