962  Economy / Economics / Re: I tired of Banks my experince with nyc high value Property on: September 14, 2023, 08:35:23 PM
~snipe-
I figure a lot of frustration was put into creating this thread and as such, it came with a hand pouring error or perhaps English isn’t your first language and maybe your getting on with the aid of a translator because, it wasn’t an easy read. I had to do my best to connect the dots to make sense out of some statements.

From what I get,
You went seeking a loan and you were offered a mortgage at an outrageous percentage, you as well sort out a property in real estate to invest in but, it’s been offered at yet another high price and they still won’t let you inspect the property for damages or devalue it.
Hope I got all that right though! If that be the case,

Then that’s just how crappy the situation could be when you’re hoping to make meaning of your life from the bank. It comes at a high price but, you can’t get that in cryptos. Loans offered are relatively very low given the fact that, trust is what is been worked with and it’s only on a forum such as this. You’ll always be better off having generated your own money.
963  Economy / Economics / Re: Economics 101. Stagflation. on: September 14, 2023, 08:22:03 PM
Plus if you didn't pay attention in your Economics class in school, it's currently the best time to learn about it because it's probably going to come sooner than expected. So let's discuss.
I probably didn’t pay much attention to my economic classes but, am surely paying much attention now.

Quote
Blame Oil Price Shocks
One theory states that stagflation is caused when a sudden increase in the cost of oil reduces an economy's productive capacity.

Because transportation costs rose, producing products and getting them to shelves became more expensive and prices rose even as people were laid off from their jobs.
I think my country has made this make with the drastic rise in oil price following the removal of the subsidy on the petroleum products. This pushed price to almost triple the formal price at an instant without any warning. This has result in citizens having to pack their vehicles and seek alternative means of movement.
The gist of transportation has gone up as well and with majority of the citizens living within the minimum wage range, it makes life extremely difficult for most people and consequently affects production.

Quote
Blame Poor Economic Policies
Another theory is that the confluence of stagnation and inflation is the result of poorly made economic policy. Harsh regulation of markets, goods, and labor in an otherwise inflationary environment are cited as the possible cause of stagflation.
As stated above,
The policy was instantaneous, not deliberated on and we are still having to face the adversity that comes with it while hoping on a better reinvestment of the funds that would be generated from it. We just can’t tell if that would be happening.

Still, government is looking to put in place more hikes in other sectors to ensure money is being generated without looking at production. They seem to forget this money goes in circles!
964  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Marry a Coin/Project - Practically Example on: September 14, 2023, 06:25:25 PM
This is a boat I’ve rocked before with some altcoins when I was still a beginner in the cryptospace and was always out there looking out for profit. I still have some of my bought coins the. Up to this moment because I was the die hard kind of investor and had a deep believe in the coins I chose to invest with haven’t done my analysis.
Thighs, I didn’t have a sky rocket profit like the case was with this particular investor in the OP but, I had a minimal profit that wouldn’t have been bad tacking profit. At the moment, I’ve had my coins dump to nothing.

This is how my focus shifted from anything altcoins and is very focused on bitcoin right now. The assurances on it is much more than any coin out there and when it dumps, it’s sure to pump.

I just hope the user was able to pay back his debt as I feel that would be a wise option  I mean, how do you be $3m in profit and then, you don’t get to pay back your debts at least. That’s would be some dumb and greedy move. I like to think he did though. Still, it’s not really over with Dodgecoin is it? He could as well be faithful to his vows with Dodgecoin.
965  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holder are not maximizing the bitcoin potential on: September 14, 2023, 06:01:05 PM
It's interesting to note that many Bitcoin holders might not be fully capitalizing on the inherent volatility of this digital asset. The Bitcoin market can undergo price fluctuations of around 3 to 4 times in a single day, which offers ample opportunities for those who choose to engage in active trading.
It is very true that hodlers as the case often is for investors of our time aren’t actively taking advantage of the volatile nature of bitcoin as a result, lose out of the daily opportunities of gains you could get out of a prevailing market condition.
It also prevents some loses as well given that, the result isn’t always gains and gains.

What comes to mind about hodling is risk management as, you cannot completely understand the market and not actively trading not only keeps you away from the profits you could have been making but as well, limits the level of risk you would be exposed to.
When the risk out weighs the possibility of always getting it right, hodling becomes a more plausible option.

Bedsides, it’s not always the best idea to leave your funds on exchanges as this is often the case in order to have those leverage on trading.
966  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: September 14, 2023, 05:51:16 PM
And I think those of us that are actively playing crash already would have an upper hand here in the tournament, if it’s true tho.
Your encouraging him to join and yet discouraging him with the obvious truth even before it starts, lol… there’s always a first time though and so, the user’s journey with the crash games can start even now to gather some experience at it.

Each time I have to visit the site and see the displays on winnings and bonus offers in my local currency always gives me chills to feel almost at home and in Union with the site of not having to make some conversions whatsoever to know the relative value of what am putting in. It’s an interesting strategy.

If anyone knows a solution or even know any post of something similar let me know shits crazy and BC.Games or Hash.games is the biggest rip off casino honestly needs to be shut down and sued because im sure they have done this to so many other people.

BTW once i won on that trading they actually closed it down and said it was under maintance but also that all the money is good and safe not to worry. Then they removed trading all together.

I dont know how to post pictures or videos to show more of this.
The process to having your issues resolved isn’t far from the process you’ve started. BC.Games have a forum representative here to aid you through it and get things easier with support. I would ask that you don’t become too hasty and take things with ease as, they surely would be looking for means to resolve your issue without going against there terms.
967  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another day to take caution of sim swap attack on: September 13, 2023, 11:46:29 PM
Sim swap attack through T-Mobile is not new. I am disappointed that these kind of people with numerous followers do not protect their social media account. Twitter, now called X has 2FA and Security key hardware which Twitter users can use to protect their account.

Why would people go for text message only which is also by default. Sim authentication is not safe. Use app 2FA or hardware security key for a better security.
It’s that disappointing for real with these guys and this one with Vitalik Buterin even given the fact that, his a programmer and understands the risk that surrounds the cryptospace, what influence he commands and who a single flaw from him could cause a worldwide significant damage like we hear people cry of recent.

Layers of security is needed when you wheel that sort of power over a large mass which most are unknown to you.
Even having these 2FA delivers to you by mail is very difficult. I once did have an authenticator app to provide me with these codes. It worked like tokens, and wiped every 30 seconds or so. That would serve some real purpose but, you’ll be sure to ensure it’s used in a safe device and you properly store your importing code/seed.
968  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I just purchased my first satoshis on: September 13, 2023, 11:37:08 PM
I can't even express how exited I am, even if this is just the first phase, I believe the amount of knowledge I have accumulated about bitcoin through this forum will strengthened my emotion not to panic when the market goes bearish.

Thanks guy for your support, advice and wonderful opinion.
Are you overly this excited or you’re just over exaggerating facts!

Well, I can say it’s a start for many good things yo come in your life and investment choices if only you could keep up with the plans you’ve got at this genesis stage of your taking up bitcoin investment. Better still, your in a forum with so many pro bitcoins and it happens to be the one place where you can get legit and unfiltered information as well as, get the courage to keep up with your plans on hodling by having your emotions strengthened.

It’s also an interesting thing to note that, the advices given to you weren’t just passive and you’re beginning to manifest it by virtue of this investment. Stick to bitcoin and don’t deviate from the plan, you would be appreciative of how far you’ve come I due time and then, you would be really excited of this step and it wouldn’t be exaggerated then.
969  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for ways to improve my knowledge on cryptocurrency on: September 13, 2023, 11:28:35 PM
What are possible ways to earn from the platform and whats involved  not forgetting how I can make progress in my journey in the crypto world .
Help is needed
To keep it real with you, you don’t get to earn on nothing. The days of airdrops and giveaways in freebies are over. Looking out for those might get you scammed of the little you never thought to matter. Guess what, it matters to a lot of other persons, even those that has more than you already have.

Get real and realize that the cryptospace is as real as it gets. Same way you can earn in the real world is what is obtainable here. You only get to earn if you’ve got some service to offer, you get to complete a task or job for some firm, you have a well enough capital to invest and hodl bitcoin or your really good at trading.

I was a bit hesitant on bringing up trading because, you not knowing much on cryptocurrency or bitcoin makes you a newbie with all it entails and trading is one of the most risky aspect to the innovation. It’s a keep off for now but, you could study it and practice on a demo account.

I would rather advice you that you do your bit in building interest in the bitcoin and cryptocurrencies at large, making sure to get concrete knowledge of the aspects to it your met with daily and you would build your vocabulary about it.
970  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin and get rich quick syndrome on: September 13, 2023, 11:18:09 PM
Unlike fiat which the amount in your bank account remains what it is, bitcoin in your wallet will constantly fluctuate, meaning that there is chances that you can gain or lose your bitcoin.

OP wasn't referring to losing one's Bitcoin to  hackers or anything of that nature. Rather, what they were asking was if there was any situation that would make one's Bitcoin hedl to decrease in its unit. Let's say 0.005 BTC reduces to 0.004 and continues that way until it gets to zero or that it increases beyond 0.005 BTC.
I sort of understood it differently going by the snippet you have in that quote. My understanding left me with the impression that, it’s a quantification based on what value your wallet holds through the various market seasons or price fluctuations.
Although, OP have stated it as described, which is not even close to anything possible. That your coins would decrease in units without you having to make some withdrawal or send some out, that doesn’t happen with bitcoin or any other coin in a wallet out there.

Fiat too follow similar pattern in the sense that, what truly decreases is the value. What that same money could buy in different time frames varies. While inflation might rock fiat, volatility still rocks bitcoin. You don’t lose in unit but, you can either profit or lose in value.

BTC5 will always remain BTC5 in unit no matter the time in years or market condition but it’s value will or could vary.
971  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: what can ordinary man do on: September 13, 2023, 10:06:16 PM
Bako dedicated his life fully to serve Nigeria but not knowing that Nigeria is not a country wort dying for. You fight for justice till death dey tag you a criminal. While people who are currupt live longer in this country. Glory of ogonin was restored by this man. Ogoni men in this forum can testify to it.
My friend,

@Smartgoat
To make your post authentic and more valid, include a link to a news about it next time.

How gunmen killed Rivers DPO – Police

The reason the DPO was attacked was not known. Nigeria has been brutal like this since many years ago. Pastor has been killed this way before.
You do well Charlly say you provide this link way spread out the tori well for better follow up. I no know how yiu no see the reason shah via say as the tori carri so, na simply a retaliation matter. Them way be police go raid criminal hideout normally and another group of cruminals, possibly the same group cef later jam them for road and attack the police them being more prepared or reinforced and them con over power the police them. While others run, the DPO no run as man way prepare and ready to give en all for en job and e pay with the ultimate price being en life.

973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of advice is worth giving such people? on: September 12, 2023, 11:13:42 PM
What advice is worth passing out to people who have lost their Bitcoin more than once and are on the hedge of giving up?
It's extremely childish and insensitive to ml a mistakeqnf instead of gindingvout what your mistake was, you just source for some place to apportion blame. You learn nothing from that by not realising what your mistake or mistakes was and looking out for means to put it go a stop and ensure you don't make the same mistake anymore.
That they left Bitcoin investments for good, that isn't an assurance that they would be ultimately safe or successful in there next investment.

What I would advise such person is,
To learn how to look for faults in there steps rather than apportion blame.
They need go understand that in the cryptospace, you are your own first line of security and depending on how you take your security serious, you could be susceptible to hacks or safe.

Where do you keep your coins?
What exchanges do you use in transacting?
How have you handled KYC?

Loosing at a time shouldn't be the end, you could help yourself jn trying to know more and build yet another portfolio.
974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Common Bitcoin ideas on: September 12, 2023, 10:53:07 PM
This brought me into thinking how do we make people understand Bitcoin properly in order to prevent them from being scammed and end up disliking the crypto space. Is introducing them into Bitcoin talk enough ? If no what else more can we do easily to make them actually get the idea of Bitcoin.
It doesn't matter what your introducing them to. If they haven't seen the need or convinced themselves that this is good for them, you would be as well introducing another dormant person unto the forum.
I think you need to understand that it's never compulsory for everyone to be vested in cryptocurrency or on the forum. You jut have to let them grow there own interest and for most, a first introduction is the best you could do for them. Though they might not jump right ahead to invest, it might even take them years but, when the bulls come in and the market starts to boom, you would easily find them running back to you for a recap.

Then, they would have learned 2 good important lessons;
Time is of the essence to profiting from an investment and
Bitcoin isn't a scam but a currency of great potential.

Let them find themselves at times.
975  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If they have the ability why would they sell? on: September 12, 2023, 10:25:25 PM
Since this groups are label premium signal groups, they are requesting some form of a monthly subscription, a friend said that most of them are inexperienced traders who are pretending to be a pro traders.

My common sense is asking me why will they create such group if they know how to be pro traders already? Like why can't they keep this to themselves and keep making their money? Why are they trying to help and getting subscribers in return? Just my own common sense like I've said. What do you have to tell me?
There isn’t anything new about signal groups and there schemes, it’s existed as long as trading itself and continues to gain patronage from a lot of those who are scared of loses or to do the work needed to prevent loses. Most of the users that falls within this category always find themselves looking out for these signal groups and they end up doing 2 different things for them,

* You aid them in building there channels which they would have found very difficult to build.
* You still get to find them by subscribing for signals that might be dobbed from some place else and offer no assurances.

I really do think one who is very good at trading wouldn’t have time trying to send signals to other persons for petty cash. It doesn’t make much sense to stress over that with all you can get from trading.
976  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: All about Emotions on: September 12, 2023, 09:23:40 PM
I think what would have been the best approach or a more helpful way to single out certain interesting statements on the course for you OP would have been, quoting the responses of interest to form into a thread in such a way that, they answer certain questions or are directed to lay emphases on a point.

The thread as you have it now don’t even have much defined on it other than you @OP, acting in the capacity of the forum’s search engine, which in turn the thread will still be submerged and be bound to further search by almost no one.

Don’t want to discredit your effort but, you would be helping the forum more by avoiding such habit as exhibited by virtue of this thread creation format.
977  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You can get played by anybody on: September 11, 2023, 01:22:49 PM
The best ways to stay safe in crypto space now is to just DCA, stake if you want and enjoy your life, nothing comes easily anymore, there is no free stuffs in the world, those who want to give up free stuffs want something else too.
Stake, stake in bitcoin… perhaps your not referring to bitcoin while talking about stake but with it as the only currency I purchase often, stake isn’t much of an option and I wouldn’t feel any sense of safety having to let some organization or exchange be in charge of my precious bitcoins.
Altcoins maybe but, I wouldn’t advise it for anyone.

The earlier people know that stupidity is a punishable offense within the cryptospace, the better for them to wake up to the reality of things in our current dispensation.

Just how do you link or connect your account or wallet of value to just anything you’re presented with out there! It depends matter whom or what company is making the offer.

You first of all think of the worst that could happen, get the measure of it if it’s a bearable situation at your end (if not, sort out for precautions) and you might end up saving yourself a lot of trouble.

There isn’t any much freebies in our world today and hope this opens the eyes of investors and prospective investors out there to these realities.
978  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Face unlock on bitcoin wallet devices on: September 10, 2023, 11:24:56 PM
Fingerprint is not secure, what about face unlock?
I consider finger print or biometric unlocking of devices a dangerous means to privacy and even worst still, face unlock. I mean, why would anyone have that on their wallet even?

In the case of finger print, there are means to get your finger print but the next thing would be your device. While some means might require someone accessing your device by targeting your subconscious moment to get your prints on your device, it poses a challenge of you having to wake up and note what’s being done.

In the case of face unlock, you better be conscious of shadow cast or lights in your face otherwise, your privacy is very much a goner and that makes it even the more risky.

Alphanumeric passwords remains the best means towards protecting your wallet privacy when compared with the other two options.
979  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help and encourage newbies to grow. on: September 10, 2023, 11:16:05 PM
What you need to know is to simply not take this community forum too seriously. Just like how you talk to other people on some social media group — as long as you follow the rules by not spamming and scamming and all that, you're good to go.
Not taking the forum too seriously is something you can’t have many individuals do. It’s hard for users who have built their life around the forum not to take it seriously. It almost feels like there life, there second life and somewhere they can express themselves as well as find solution to solve some of their life’s problems.

The forum have seen and welcomed a lot of individuals over the years, have managed to shape a lot of them too as well as outcasts those that were found wanting of its rules. Even at that, you’re sure to have some more people pouring in everyday and always about looking out for means to blend in the forum.
Learning becomes the first thing you owe yourself, do that and you would find a means towards bettering your experience here @OP.
980  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: School fees hike on: September 10, 2023, 09:30:25 PM

My fellow Nigerians una good day SIRs and MAs, I come with one matter way they worry all the students for 9ja, this matter don rise but e com worst as this man way them they call am JAGABAN become the president.
The thing be say school fees done increase to the level way be say some students way their parents no get money, them done quit school because no money to afford the school fees.
If person been tell us say, the next government go make us miss Buhari, most of us no for believe but, e don be the order of governance for this we nation. This na the one thing way we don Dey sure say, government Dey hand over and continue through their time in office.
Nigeria government just turn out yo be the type way be say, them no Dey continue on the past government better project because, them feel say the success of the project no go link back to them as the source but instead, them Dey like kick start there own new project and somehow, the suffer project Dey always Dey continued.

Where e bad here be say, our people no go still learn say, person way invest most chop dividend for en investment. After all the money way Tinubu use run election, you must ready for harsh policies because, en money no fit just waste like that.

Government way suppose Dey encourage education, them Dey acknowledge the poor state of things for the country and still, they make necessity like school fees unaffordable. Yet, e Dey propose loan accessible to pay grade far above minimum wage for country way more than half Dey live below that level. The country na for the strong shah, make we Dey try.
