961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gifting satoshis to future generations on: August 30, 2023, 09:01:56 PM
He answered in the thread:

Hello, the author of the article here.

As far as I know Federico is not really active here, but you can try to summon him. Maybe he will be notified somehow.
Even more if the question is relevant!
Not really is the word as I could see that he posted once this year as far back as February but has been gone since then, perhaps follows tbe forum passively as a guest.

Yet again, it was a carefully thought through plan that had a the right considerations and the course of execution is maintained in the hands of the parent or guardian of the child. Let's hope they don't try to be funny with it by accessing it themselves before the expected 18year time frame on any course.

It's no new news that the course to bitcoin and its keywords seed phrase safety have been met with several views on what could be considered best and somehow, we could only hope but, the fast pace at which technology continues to advance from micro to nano and now simbless devices are been produced, 18years seems like a far distant time for the establishment of gaps between today existing  innovations but then, it wouldn't much on the importation of wallets so, I still see the move to be potent.
962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will the bitcoiners realize bitcoin is just fiat with enforced tax on: August 30, 2023, 07:41:23 PM
When will the bitcoiners realize bitcoin is just fiat with more steps on a transparent ledger with enforced tax aka network fee. When your nation legalizes it like canada you will pay network fee and tax on top, such wow.
Well, your entitled to your opinion and that doesn't make you right!

I would have liked to have a good read on what your trying to imply on the Canada theory to it. If you just might provide a written document or link that sides the message your trying to relay with Canada, it would be nice.

Meanwhile, bitcoin has got nothing yo do with fiat or having it been involved in any for of taxation. On like tax where you get to pay a certain amount based in what you earn, you pay nothing for earning bitcoin and the only time you get to be charged a fee is when your transacting.
Still, it doenst count as tax as they both come by different definitions.
Fees on taking up a transaction varies based on the mempool congestion and as such,  a particular mount could have more or less fee but, it ain't the same with tax. It's always the same everytime.

It's okay with you having your thought and contradictory opinion but, hope you get exposed to lots of information here and actually make sense out of them.
963  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop loss on: August 29, 2023, 11:57:04 PM
Therefore, to resolve this, and if you are using the Binance platform to trade, there is a button that Binance added to their trading platform to solve this problem which is called price protection, This prevents your stop-loss and take-profit setup from going way above the set price level,  you can make use of it by switching on.
The price protection feature is every trader wanting to use a trading platform should ensure that the platform has so that they can be protected from severe market movements and conditions. If a trading platform you want to use do not have the feature, it will be good that you look to use another trading platform to avoid slippage. Price protection feature is not only good for people who just started trading, it is also good for the long time traders who already have market experience.
Stop lose and take profits is an initiative put in place to ensure you aren’t going above your trading plans as this aids you to keep yourself in check even in the event that your not focused on the charts which is presumably a bad idea and a very exhausting activity to carry out. The stop lose and take profit jumps into swift action to keep you off unendurable loose or safe guide you against your own greed in the event of making profit.
This makes it an awesome tool to be used by not just beginner but experienced traders to push where the instincts don’t let you.

Still, there are those who don’t or don’t let the activations do its job. It’s bad practice that develops into an uncontrollable behavior. You ought to be comfortable about the speculations from an analysis especially when it’s good then, you let the tools do it’s job.
964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin movement: my thought on: August 29, 2023, 11:49:46 PM
I just thought of this, and I want you to view it from your own perspective. As everyone hopes that more people get to believe and use bitcoins, I think bitcoins can gain more new users on a large scale if anyone (whales ) can place their advert through a popular football club just as some companies do sponsor  football league. I think this will send a strong message to billions of people across the world who do know but does not embrace Bitcoin usage.
Let me site another example, let's take for instance, a club announces that they  will pay their players in BTC. This news can also help people adopt BTC.
Do you think some of these have not been done?
Like I recall when some of the musicians wanted there shows paid for using bitcoin. I could recall snoop dog at a time. I had rumors of 50cent and even some basketball stars sorting out the option, at least a part of their earnings be paid in bitcoin. Surely it did trend for a while but then, away it went (@ the trend).
No doubt it pooled in some investors but still, we are where we are now.

Hence, even having bitcoin sampled on a billboard won’t change much. It’s already being done by the many casinos with football clubs sponsorship deals. The word out is how they use bitcoin in placing bets on their platform. Watford FC had it on their Jersey at a time but still, we are where we are.

There isn’t going to be any swift pace and nothing would promote bitcoin more than the bullrun so, just seat back and watch the times unfold.
965  Economy / Economics / Re: Is market manipulation a common occurrence everywhere? on: August 29, 2023, 09:51:34 PM
What kind of people are capable of market manipulation?
When it comes to centralized systems, then you can talk about market manipulations. This is very common with the government in handling fiat. They instill in the systems the conditions they need functional by simply pumping in more fiat currencies or reducing the amount in circulation. It’s a manipulation done by affecting the lack or availability of a commodity.

It’s almost the same thing when it comes to cryptocurrencies that are centralized but this ain’t the case with bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralized and as such, no one holds that much power to create these conditions but then, institutions with large hodlings could mimic what is obtainable in centralized systems by flooding the market with more coins but it always ain’t enough until the masses join in.

Soon, you would find the coin recovering. It’s just how it works.
966  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: August 29, 2023, 09:05:47 AM
Hi bc.game, the 2FA is active in my account, i have open a ticket with my issue, i sent many emails, my User ID: 6103157
Anyway i do not play here anymore.
What could you be doing wrong @Braila,
I just went through your posts and it appears you’re having an issue with almost every gaming site on the forum. I could find sportsbet.io, betcoin.ag, BookiePro.fun, just name them. Don’t that make you a little curious as to what could you be doing wrong? Sometimes when things go wrong, before blaming others or labeling a site,
Ask yourself if others are having this challenges…?
When it’s more frequent at your end,
Ask yourself what could you be doing wrong…?

Fine these answers and solve your issue. Your account got hacked, it could be because your device might be compromised. Night is what I said and with the level and scheme hackers/scammers have got, they can even have a bug on your device that gives updates on your activities. 2FA wouldn’t save you much at that point as all you do is mirrored with them. The closest 2FA could do for you is the awareness but, of course, they could join mails or create alternative mails and what have you to still be affiliated.

Check yourself mate.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How late is too late to place a bet for a gambler? on: August 29, 2023, 07:59:38 AM
The gambling industry has grown so advanced to give users just about any market you can think of. Sometimes, they have this options off the boards deliberately for being too simple or easy and at other times, they affix it an odd that is next to nothing.

So that gamblers don’t get to miss a chance at gambling, they’ve created a live session where gamblers can bet on games that have already kicked off or have gone live. All that in a bid to keep the game rolling and the best coming in.

You’re never late on gambling if you want to play, so long as the game is still on and the market are out, you’re good to play. Where it would be affected it’s the odds that would be given and that could go either ways, maybe a high odd or a low odd depending on what time is left and the chances of the market playing out based on how the game has been going.

The only time you could be late on gambling is, when the market of interest is already materialized in the game or it’s barely a minute or something closed to that on closure. Of course, that’s dependent on what sport and how much time and what value of time is to the game.
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: August 29, 2023, 07:35:42 AM
I'm thinking of kneejerking Bowen as captain next week against Luton.
Yeah, Bowen can go. His being phenomenal for his team through last the course of last season and you could tell his got his belly fired up for this season as well. If you ain’t hoping on Halaand to score a brace or a hat-trick, it wouldn’t make a lot of difference having K. Bowen as your captain in contrast to E. Halaand. Besides, we can all tell E. Halaand is having a lot of struggles getting the balls at the moment, to a point he even missed a penalty, that’s how it’s the game is played on his subconsciousness and the many defense line mounted on him. Though it might help the team like Harkorede stated but, the team isn’t what we are after in FPL is it? No.

Bowen still a good choice but, can’t say if his the best choice. Either ways, both remains promising.
969  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: WHICH WAY NIGERIA? on: August 28, 2023, 11:57:28 PM
It’s a lively piece OP but, I must comment on certain pointers that don’t seem so accurate. One of those is the issue raised on taxation. The direct tax system within the country is more applicable to those within the Civil service and institutions. It’s almost impossible to taxes the rest of the citizens directly so a more different approach is used and that’ll be the indirect system to taxation in the form of Value Added Taxes (VAT).

Still, Nigerians are very easy to govern because we still believe in trying again despite the hardship we face but, is this really going to solve it without taking the bull by the horn? Even a newly elect with good plans have his plans choked by the thorns that already exists within the system. It’s a real problem that needed be tended not gently but with sharp edges and fire.

Long as the fabric been rented and a new weave is most desirable. I don’t know how the people who have made things bad still be in governance within a new system and still, we hope to see better results, it won’t work! The old has to go.
970  Economy / Economics / Re: Having a problem a Personal Finance? on: August 27, 2023, 11:35:39 PM
For a moment I almost took OP for a multinational speaker or someone who was out there to sell a product. I was just waiting in the moment when OP would say, here is all your solution packed in one miracle product or project. Good thought that isn’t the case.

Still, means to finance handling is a huge problem to most, some employ the services of accountants and financial advisers while other who can’t o afford to employ one or just don’t see the need try to do them themselves and if you look at it, it’s doable.
It’s a matter of your person and how you’re able to prioritize your needs and won’t in respect to what’s the best time to go into certain acquisition of property, an investment and certain spending. Money diminishes and you’ve got to know that money not invested is practically money lost to a purpose and it ain’t coming back.
That helps you to define just how to go about your fund appropriation.
971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When to invest in bitcoin on: August 27, 2023, 10:37:55 PM
And I find out that the perfect time a newbie can invest  in bitcoin  is when the price  of bitcoin  is in bear market, like some weeks ago bitcoin drop a different in the market price and its very nice opportunity for short term investors to buy and keep and be ready to sell when the market rise. I was willing to buy bitcoin immediately the price drop but the challenge i have them was I'm  not with cash, but I will be waiting until the price fall again, and if it fall again I will not miss the opportunity of buying bitcoin and keep for long term investment
Some ideas that has lead many yo never getting to invest in bitcoin is,

The idea of a short term investment where you hope to buy and hold for few days or weeks and perhaps few months let’s say 4-6 months and expect the profits to start pouring in. It often turns out to be some bad idea as, you might get disappointed in the long run. Given that, the level of speculation one can have on bitcoin is one that comes without any guarantee as price might circulate about a region for more time than anticipated and that would promote the wrong idea within an individual. The idea of short term investment is one that pushes people to borrow to invest or redirect money meant for some project for bitcoin investments and you could end up being disappointed.

Long term investments always serves you better and it often breaks the barrier of having a predetermined time to take profit off your investment. Also, using DCA to invest ensures you don’t get to procrastinate on your investment choices as there isn’t a specific time to bitcoin investment. What you consider bear or low today was once a bullish trend in time past. That’s how dynamic the market is.
972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is always a Bull for Some Group and Bear to Others. on: August 27, 2023, 10:22:56 PM
If I get the point your trying to get across at OP, your referring to the sessions of the market to be a reference to the time of investment by each individual investors and not based on what the charts or candles display? Hope am getting that right?

Possibly yeah, that could be the case for most because, you are making profit and that counts as bull for them but then again, when you aren’t making profit and price seems to have fallen below where you bought at, it goes to count as bear for you.

Still, the bear and bull market has got a large part of its determination in connection with the ATH and how long price tends to dwell within a region, either far or close to the ATH or around the dip. Hope I did keep that simply enough but, your idea isn’t overly said though but, it wouldn’t have a place for those who DCA as, they wouldn’t have to consider price on particulate coin purchase but as a whole of there hodlings.
973  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: The country no de move forward on: August 27, 2023, 08:45:18 PM

974  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I using the right plan? on: August 27, 2023, 08:01:33 PM
after you told your brother everything, and he didn't listen. forget it, let him find his own learning. but don't let that happen to you or your other relatives.
you do not need to be responsible for your brother's actions because you have already given a warning. such a scheme would not last too long. when they get enough money from people who join, everything will disappear very quickly.
just wait whether your brother succeeds in withdrawing profits or not.
Saying the user haven’t got to be responsible for his brothers action is an ignorance to the duty you owe a sibling. I don’t know but somewhere within our DNA or subconscious, we do hope our family members, relatives or friends that we do do care about don’t walk down the same road we did once or are way too familiar with to lead just no where.

I do understand that, when you try to teach a younger person or even an old person of something they feel they know too well about, especially one that has got some evidence to it, they build a wall about what they wish or hope to believe is true. The approach to it, create some relativism with it from what has been before. Let them get the clear picture and where it always ends, should they hope continue the part and you caution them enough to instill in them some level of curiosity and skepticism so they don’t get to invest big.
When it goes down, then they would understand and learn to trust in the things you know and experience have got to teach them.
975  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All business need to risk, so not only crypto! on: August 27, 2023, 07:44:01 PM
A lot of people are making it big in crypto and so could you, why can’t you and all of that…

Statements like these happens to be true but as well, it’s got an opposite to it, the untold story of those who don’t have the chance to tell but just happen to have had there lives messed up because of what they thought they could archive with very minimal knowledge of how the whole system works.

Apparently, the industry isn’t one that deals with you just coming in to make profits and get out or keeps sucking the sap out of it. It’s got an actual use aside from profit making. Like the part where you send it to a loved one at the far distant part of the world, the part where you could use it to pay for services rendered or order some product and more.

The reality to it is, it’s not all money making!
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes the win is right in front of us-little tip to sport bettors on: August 27, 2023, 07:30:17 PM
How many of you overlook this simple fact which can lead to bet wins?
Trust me man, thebisnt any guarantees that you having some formal Serie A players would push for the win. Arh arh, it doesn’t work like that and there are more than one statistic to look at when it comes to taking bets. Head to head, last five games played, injuries, goals against and goals for, what there home and away game plays are like, who’s got injury, who’s the replacement, which is the better team and what’s there win probability as calculated by the site in use.

Even after checking all these, you could still loose. It’s gambling and it doesn’t follow any specific rules. Just the better team in that days game gets to win. You could only hope it turns out your way and prediction in the end but still, there isn’t any guarantees.
977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: August 27, 2023, 07:11:47 PM
After a 6 pointer last week, I benched M.Cash and switched to a 3-4-2 to accomodate Martinelli in the midfield. He just scored a first-half brace with an assist from Watkins.

E. Halaand PK Missed! -2 hahah I'm alive!
You still got a decent point off Watkins as your captain, his usual average but a double. Still, it appears to be better than the rest of us that let E. Halaand remain captain. He managed to get a goal though and 8 points off him is low but better than GW2.

You had M. Cash on the bench and he pulled 14 points, while Martinelli pulled just 2 points, that must hurt. Still, it’s a decent week to pull up and I must say, this has got to be one week where I made some bad decisions on my team.

Trippier did zero out on me! How disappointing, don’t know what’s wrong with him getting winch an unwarranted yellow card. In between, Klopp is such a magician to have managed to pull this off, getting the right substitute and making the difference on the pitch that even with 10 men, they fixed the score line.
978  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: newbie with newbie questions on: August 26, 2023, 09:20:45 PM
So, I was wondering how you do trading?

1. Which exchanges you use and why?

2. Proces... so first you screen the coins, how? You get signals from somewhere? Where? Telegram groups? Is it reliable? You pay? After screening the coins then proceed to technical analysis or chart analysis? You do daily trading, scalping, swing... what is your method and why?

Thanks for answers.
You’re probably having this objectivity towards trading because you’re well aware that good traders make a lot of money and this has driven your caution from the fact that. You could be met with a lot of loses by taking bad trades or not being well grounded on trading. This has been the case for most especially newbie traders and I don’t mean newbies as on the forum but, newbies to trading in general. It always gets the most of you and so your question.

You can trade on virtually almost any exchange but the top of it all has been Binance. You have Okx, Bitfinex, Huobi, Coinbase, Kucoin and the rest of them. Still, you’ve got to study the platform that could give you the right leverage before choosing one.

Know that trading is something that takes time to master and as such, you don’t have to go into trading if you are dependent on signals. Your always better of generating your own signals and that would mean, you getting to study all you could of trading and best your strategies to making profit off the market.
979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: August 26, 2023, 09:07:02 PM

Is good to save money for future use so we can make good use of it when ever we need to, now what if you decide to save money in your betting account will that be possible to?
We can decide not to save money in our fiat bank account or any other micro finance bank account for one reason or the other and save it in a licensed gambling sites can that idea be possible, will the money deposited there not be tempered with from the gambling platform or removed automatically from the account after keeping it for a long period of time?
You’re in way more risk saving on gambling sites than you would be saving in fiat banks. Both might be centralized systems but, you’ve hit means to recovery with some given the regulated status and jurisdiction of operation and that’ll be for the fiat banks but when it comes to gambling sites, you’ve got a whole lot of other things to consider.

Come to think of it, gambling sites could short down at any point and there would be very little you could do about trying to get your money back. At most, it would take a lot out of you to archive much success.

You could be labeled a money launderer for engaging in such habits and it wouldn’t end nicely for you. You’ll still be the one to lose. So yeah, it could be done but, it ain’t a best idea to have your savings done on betting sites.
980  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: August 26, 2023, 08:54:22 PM
In my opinion, rich and poor are not sufficient as a benchmark, for them to risk large amounts of money.
when someone is addicted to gambling, they will use any money to be able to play. If rich people will spend their wealth playing gambling, then poor people will continue to look for and justify any means so they can get money, including by committing robbery or other crimes in order to get money so they can play gambling.
Your opinion like you’ve rightly stated although I think it matters in some way except;
The qualification as used is subjected to mean, what your staking power to a game means to you. That would make a lot of difference based on those who will go all in to bet on games with there last funds or vital funds to there survival and those who wouldn’t mind betting there properties as well. That’s always the hight of it otherwise, it become definitive to what amount you might see as common or could lose and it wouldn’t hurt so much.

Amounts that some hope to realize at the end of a betting session is the staking power of some. That’s how differential it gets between these categories.

Something I’ll like to drag yo our notice though as it some worth makes gambling look bad. Some one could just go on a heist or commit to any vice just for any purpose. It’s more about who this person is and what his or her morals allows them to.
