They always have said that the 11th is not a fixed date and that there could be a delay. So, I don't understand the drama here.
And even if it's not just because of those who didn't generate their keys yet: It's still a fast process.
Most of all ICO-projects have a lot of months between ICO and launch.
there also the best coin called zcash out in months without asking money or ico. Decred also wasn't ico....they give free btc instead to airdropper and a 21 teams member. Eth is about 40 teams member since start. What is here? 2 developers from a dead coin called crypty and 1 community member? With 7 millions fund i expect a little more effort. Lisk is a scam ... if you didn't buy-in yet, or are hoping for below ICO prices. It's funny if you look at all the scam threads while the ICO was ongoing. Those same people shouting 'Scam' then turned around later stating how their FUD didn't work, and they actually bought in. They simply wanted to keep the ICO numbers down so they would get a greater number of Lisk (although since the price would proportionally be lower, not sure if that would have been much of an advantage). FUD/Hype, take all with a grain of salt. It just depends on whatever benefits whomever is posting. This forum is like one giant trollbox. Well,there is an entire community asking to launch on april 11. Dev seems ignore community telling the real truth about the delay. It's not just cause of validation key. It's ridicolous. Look at github and how many problems with source need to be fixed..... Seems there is nothing here. Only github issues to be fixed. Eth,decred got months of testnet with community before mainet. Checking all functionallity. Here there is nothing ready ihmo. I bought some, so, it's not fud. Just my opinion on current facts. |

The main problem is not the delay itself but the reason of the delay.
The LISK team is 2 developers and 1 community manager, that's it! This is a joke or what! This extrtemely unprofessional considering the size of the project.
How many people are behind Ethereum, Bitshares, Dash, Monero, Factom, etc.?
Lisk Team raised so much money during the ICO!! Why not hire more people? I have no doubt great developers would be happy to give a hand even if they know that they'll be paid after Lisk has hit the exchange. So I'm afraid that the real reson is different. Maybe the 2 developers are greedy and believe they can do everything by themselves.
If only there was more people/devs involved actively with the Lisk team, those 15% lazy people would have received an email since a long time to generate and/or validate their passphrases.

This is a delay because of the generated keys. Lisk will keep their word of end of April, because if 93% of the users are waiting for 7% and they will again delay the launch to May, the community and the media will not trust the planning of Lisk anymore . So just wait and test your node, let Lisk be known to the world, learn Javascript and design dapps. A lot to do before end of April so we can see Lisk grow and be all rich  No, Dev should just send email reminders once a day. Launch should be April 11 as planned. Until there are no other issue he won't write.... It's simple. Just sent 3-4 email reminder. |

Friend of mine bough Liks on begining of ICO and 2 weeks ago she went to trip around the world and it will last 6 months but passphrases left at home. What in her case?
Launch will be delayed 6 months.  Until you friends will come back and validate the key. |

A reminder....a simple e-mail reminder telling they have time until Aprill 11 to validate the key.
Is very easy to do! If people still don't validate after 2-3 reminder prior April 11, well, it's their fault.

100% this is not the problem. How was it determined to wait till the end of the month + maybe into May to wait for these remaining people exactly? How exactly is this delay determined? In particular the 'maybe into May' part? Was a survey done? Did emails get sent to those people and they replied and begged please wait I am on vacation, I am in the hospital?

Prove this wrong by sending everyone an email each day until the 11th, failure to respond, send their funds back to their sending address. Or proceed minus them and include them later on.
THIS! Agree! you can't delay an entire project just cause some were climbing mountains for holydays and forgot to validate the key! It's just crazy and not fair! If i go to watching a movie and it start at 20 p.m. it start at 20 p.m. If i bought a ticket and i forgot to go, it's my fault. 85% of the 'users' are affected by the 15% that didn't claim the keys. Thats doesn't sound right to be honest.
Why not launch and give the people that didn't claim, 1 year to claim.. so nothing is lost.
This is right. 85% users was following,making community and perform all step. So launch is delayed only cause 15% didn't claim. This is not fair and honest. More importantly why? How can this operation be held hostage by this so-called requirement. No I doubt believe it is about being fair to them. Even so opening mainnet what the hell has that got to do with all of this it is there "loss" even if there is a loss which I do not think exists.
