Too much coins, too little time. Thanks for the aclarations Teukon Strange list of "second generation altcoins": Ripple is a decentralised system of credit (the system itself predating Bitcoin by a number of years). Namecoin was the very first altcoin (fork of the Bitcoin protocol) to my knowledge. Mastercoin is a layer on top of Bitcoin facilitating smart properties/contracts.
These ones probably do qualify as second generation: Peercoin (a rebranding of PPCoin, first to use proof of stake, from 2012) Nextcoin (a completely new codebase, from 2013) So, namecoin seems trash. Im not interested in credit, so Ripple, to the trashcan. Mastercoin, garbage. Peercoins VS NXT, I bet for next as is brand new coded, with talks in favor to the developers in many levels. Ethereum is another one that use to pop in this gardens, someone could sketch a bit about that one? Pros and cons?

If you are talking to me, I havenīt choosed it yet, I open this thread to speculate what could be, apart of BTC

I know this thread could be located @ altcoins, but I prefer to open it here for two reasons, the first one is because it deals with speculation, and the second one because Alt room itīs a mess of people bulling his crappycryptos.
I have been looking at the 2nd generation ones, some of them could be a good long time contenders. ATM I only hodl BTC and some shitty doges that Iīll sell when I can, but the more I read about Nxt, Peercoin, Mastercoin, Namecoin and Ripple, the more suggesting they appear.
As long as I'm quite newbie in this gardens, I would like to listen to more educated and *unbiased* opinions regarding that ones or another second generation that could be a good contender.
Aditionally, do you think some of that ones could eventually surpass BTC?. Do you think BTC could evolve to include PoS features, decentraliced exchanges, 51% protection and all the new jazz?

Today I have sell 0.1BTC in ebay. The user "redstar7474" has buy it with paypal. I have sended the 0.1 to her. Later, ebay has sended me this message: MC999 eBay listings removed - unauthorized user of buyer or bidder account Hello XXX, We recently learned that someone was using an account to bid on or buy items without the account owner's permission. All associated fees have been credited to your account. Please note that we're working with the account owner to prevent any additional unauthorized activity.
Your listings may be eligible for relisting through My eBay. If your listing is eligible, you'll see it in your "Unsold" section in My eBay. Listings that aren't eligible for relisting won't appear in the "Unsold" section.
We're sorry for any inconvenience, and we thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Here are the listings that were canceled: 201064162400 - 0.1 BTC Bitcoin
Thanks,
eBay
Please don't reply to this message. It was sent from an address that doesn't accept incoming email." So they had take me off my earnings and I have lost the 0.1BTC. Which seems totally unfair, as if it has been really hacked, itīs the fault of the hacked person for not protecting her account and password. The bitcoin adress of the scammer is 182qjk5U49nsYxGQk4HGMCTad8gNRY5QZL Probably he/she will be using differents adresses, anyway I post this info here for the records. Beware of the bloody scammers and NEVER, NEVER use paypal in this context. I hope at least my mistake can help others.

Just to taste the general flavour of the whole entry: According to economists, to qualify as money something must be a store of value, a medium of exchange, and a unit of account.[71] Bitcoins cannot be considered money because they don't hold all three properties.[71] Economist John Quiggin stated, "bitcoins will attain their true value of zero sooner or later, but it is impossible to say when."[87] In 2013, Bank of America FX and Rate Strategist David Woo forecast a maximum fair value per bitcoin of $1,300.[98] Bitcoin investor Cameron Winklevoss stated in 2013 that the "bull case scenario for bitcoin is... 40,000 USD a coin".[99] In late 2013, finance professor Mark Williams forecast a bitcoin would be worth less than ten US dollars by July 2014.[100] It has full blown bearish sections but almost no bit of objetive information about the positive strenghts of the divise. 6 Criminal activity 6.1 Black markets 6.2 Money laundering 6.3 Ponzi scheme 6.4 Thefts 6.5 Malware I have a hard time editing it because English is not my native languaje, but I call you to action in case you were an English wikipedist inclined to do so.

No le veo peligro, pero para obtener beneficios tienes que tener bastantes afiliados y/o esperar aņos o que el precio del BTC se dispare

Speculation based on intuition?!
great....
Behind our intuition is a computer with many Exaflops with highly sophisticated pattern recognition software. Our logic is driven by an emulation layer that is slower than a 1970s pocket calculator. You think our logic is superior just because you are more aware of it? Instant Anu fan.

March 16, 2014 - Public beta update #4On March 11 we surpassed 500 withdrawals and permanently increased daily Litecoin payouts by 5% for all users. At the moment we are at 587 withdrawals. As soon as we reach 1000 withdrawals we We will increase Litecoin payouts by another 5%. A lot of work has been done to improve scalability and responsiveness of the website during peak hours. Your login and password should now also work on our Support System, where we have received and replied to 1,712 emails. We've had so many suggestions and feature requests, it is difficult to choose what to do next. To see what we're currently working on we've published a roadmap here. How about sharing the Tx details of withdrawal on blockchain so that we can confirm the withdrawals are really happening ?+1 my friend have 300+ ref and his BTC still around 10k satoshi maybe +2

Subscribing to this interesting thread, keep on Regarding 5 to 9 chakras, I think itīs missinformation, we keep the 7 at the moment, could be that we switch on new chakras in future, thought. I bet for some kind of going down/crash until mid-end april and a sustended improvement from may-nov with some skyrocket in that timeframe
