Umm I have no idea what people are talking about.  Ive already sent back oldnoob, egghead and jjmvs bitcoin back because mindfox disappeared and went to leocoin.  Other than that XBC hasnt changed.  I honestly dont know what else i can do for it besides buy some at a later date in good standing on my own.    Price has gone up though, that is a breth of fresh air.  The address i sent the bitcoins back from are here 17mgEFjPbe2JxAbhd2ZMgtZngqxy8mqTiR
You can look up the blockchain for the amounts i sent back.  Look up the days of october 20 2014 and oct 24 2014.  I did that because i was unsure of XBCs future and didnt want these guys to loose their funds.  There are two transaction sends of .25 btc and one transaction of .1 which is jjmvs.  I hope that clears things up.

I know BTC transaction time can be slow but it shouldnt take a few months to arrive. Can you give me the txid for the one sent to me.None of those addresses that funds were sent to belong to me.

You mention that you sent them between oct 20 and 24th last? Why would you send them back almost the same day you got them and message me on December 18, 2014 telling me you still have the btc we sent you for future funding?

Bit confused here mate Huh

Whats you're XBC adress?

pm sent along with first transaction details

It would do no harm if everybody bounced some transactions back and forth between their wallets and poloniex or even among ourselves if we set up a dedicated wallet for that purpose.
If anyone has suggestions that they would like to see implemented in the coin post them here but I would like to know how many people are going to weigh in with some funds first.Myself and jjmv, oldnoob cant be expected to pony up for it all ourselves.I want to see all the latest technology implemented and a proper marketplace etc but how much is all this going to cost???The coin doesnt belong to someone,it belongs to everyone with xbc in their wallet so take them off the exchange and stake them or sell them.Dont leave them lying on the exchange. If we need extra developer I will offer either btc or xbc towards any bounty also.Maybe grounbeef can let us know if he is still around or if he wants to send any passwords, funds etc to either myself, jjmv or oldnoob that is fine.Neither myself, jjmv or oldnoob are developers. We just have some coins like everybody else and dont really know what is down the line any more than yourselves and thats just the way it is folks

969  Other / Meta / Re: Recent downtime and data loss on: January 23, 2015, 06:10:19 PM
Due to a failure of the RAID array that bitcointalk.org was running on, the database became corrupted. It was necessary to move the OS and restore the database using a daily backup. About 8 hours of data was lost (anything after about Jan 21 21:44 UTC).

I've been busy getting the forum back online, so I haven't investigated this much yet, but it may be possible for me to manually restore lost posts/PMs by searching the recovered database files for keywords that you remember. If you lost a post or PM that you feel is absolutely irreplacable, PM me and I'll see if I can recover it.

Everyone's drafts were also all lost. These are not backed up because they're automatically deleted after 14 days anyway.

Search is temporarily disabled because I need to regenerate the search index before it will be usable again.

There will some periodic downtime over the next few days (a few hours in total) as we get everything reconfigured/settled. A few things might be broken. Tell me if you see any bugs.

If you paid to remove a proxyban and this was not recognized due to the downtime, email the txid to the pbbugs email address and I'll whitelist you right away.

This week's ad stats were lost. The current ads will be up for an extra long time to make up for the downtime and the lost stats.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Technical details:

The bitcointalk.org and bitcoin.it databases were stored on a RAID 1+0 array: two RAID 1 arrays of 2 SSDs each, joined via RAID 0 (so 4 SSDs total, all the same model). We noticed yesterday that there were some minor file system errors on the bitcoin.it VM, but we took it for a fluke because there were no ongoing problems and the RAID controller reported no disk issues. A few hours later, the bitcointalk.org file system also started experiencing errors. When this was noticed, the bitcointalk.org database files were immediately moved elsewhere, but the RAID array deteriorated rapidly, and most of the database files ended up being too badly corrupted to be used. So a separate OS was set up on a different RAID array, and the database was restored using a daily backup.

My guess is that both of the SSDs in one of the RAID-1 sub-arrays started running out of spare sectors at around the same time. bitcoin.it runs on the same array, and it's been running low on memory for a few weeks, so its use of swap may have been what accelerated the deterioration of these SSDs. The RAID controller still reports no issues with the disks, but I don't see what else could cause this to happen to two distinct VMs. I guess the RAID controller doesn't know how to get the SMART data from these drives. (The drives are fairly old SSDs, so maybe they don't even support SMART.)

I plan on doing more investigation later to make sure that this doesn't happen again. I will probably also set up MySQL replication (or something) to prevent so much data loss in case something similar does happen again.

On the bright side, the backup worked fairly smoothly. This is the first time I've had to use one of the daily backups for real restoration.

Thanks for your time and efforts.Get an xbc wallet address I will send you a big donation

The only people that I've talked to in the last few months as far as the xbc group is concerned have been you, beef, and noob.  Although, I'm curious to find out who is still lurking behind the scenes...

By the way... XBC was .00025 at one point late last year.  We're not at the bottom.  With that said... I've been a long term holder of monero, dark, xc, primes, protoshares, doge, xbc, black, and some others.  Guess where they are mostly headed now?  ALL OF THESE skyrocketed at one point and are now just a small percentage of what they once were.  Look at the charts for the majority of the coins on any exchange and you'll find the same.  A few groups of people own this unregulated market, the rest just try to keep up with the moves they make.  I've seen great coins and teams being torn apart by the whales, bots, market swings, and FUD, and it just encourages me to keep my real long term investments in a regulated market.  Yes, crypto is ground breaking and the technology is the future, but I'm starting to see why some type of regulation or governing body is necessary.

Yes, I'm going off on a tangent here...

Agree with words from jjmv. Bitcoin suffers with price and long transaction-time. Its time a POS-currecy steps up and tells everybody POS is better than POW. Maybe a coin with a simular name like Bitcoin, with something added. I'am thinking of................. BitcoinPlus or something (XBC).

C'mon GB shout a littlebit louder, lout as you dit before XXXXXXXXXXXXXBBBBBBBBBBBCCCCCCCCCCCCC

yeah g-beef we dont have any problem you using all caps either..oldmankidd isnt a mod on this thread

Whoa..............DumpXBC hold on a minute.  Besides your overt creepiness in your internet stalking which is starting to freak me out.  You're not only making completely wrong assumptions insofar as the scarab experiment is concerned I also do artwork and was merely asking them what they're plan of attack is.  If you think it's wrong for me to join other projects because I like to expand my art than deal with it.  I don't run Scarab but I do like their experimental ideas.  I am not "taking on" a new project and ESPECIALLY not the scarab project.  Will I submit my artwork.........hell yeah I will.  DumpXBC you're being way out of line and I don't appreciate it at all.  Lay off man, really.

seems to be syncing but only has one connection.. I guess it's been a while since I've open it. I've got a few coins though, so I figured why not let them stake.
