961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Discussion - Being an Active Poster in the Gambling Board on: July 06, 2023, 11:26:04 PM
snip
  • Has being an active participant in the gambling section helped you develop more effective strategies for winning bets?
  • Has it aided you in overcoming gambling addiction (if you were addicted) or developing healthier gambling habits?
  • Have you noticed an overall improvement in your gambling experiences?

Let's delve into this topic because beyond simply increasing post counts, there must be genuine benefits to actively participating in these discussions.
great topic

based on my personal experience, when i make a post in the gambling section it will also be a reminder for myself, for example in one of the topics i made about gambling addiction, i read a lot of members' posts on that topic and i learned a lot from there, i really anticipate well so as not to become a gambling addict.

my gambling activities are also getting healthier but for the win rate i think it has no effect, everything is still very normal because whether i win or lose when gambling is all the result of the decision i choose.
962  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better to have a trading knowledge than depending on signals. on: July 06, 2023, 11:04:12 PM
trading signals are indeed good (make your time efficient without you having to have good skills in trading) so that until now there are many people who feel comfortable using them but the bad thing that will happen to traders if they continue to use trading signals is dependency.

if you do trading but continue to rely on signals then you will forever not have the ability to make decisions, you will only be stuck with the directions from these trading signals besides that trading signals still have big enough mistakes so try to learn the basics of trading slowly and consistently is highly recommended rather than just relying on decisions from trading signals.
963  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk; a school on its own. on: July 06, 2023, 10:52:23 PM
this forum is truly extraordinary, even though the initial purpose of establishing this forum was only to discuss bitcoin but over time, many other discussions have sprung up, starting from discussing altcoins > economics > politics > trading > even mining, all of which are presented in full at this forum.

i admit that knowing this forum and being able to become a member here is a blessing for me, there is really a lot of knowledge about anything that i can get here, just a suggestion for beginners, don't be lazy to read, there are lots of great posts here, this forum is a public school.
964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 06, 2023, 10:23:10 PM
In my opinion, Andre Onana might not be suitable for a value as high as 60 million euros. The quality is good, but it's a rather insane value for a goalkeeper who is 27 years old. Manchester United have to be very realistic about their high bids, but I think there are plenty of other young goalkeepers they should consider.
There are many young players available, but Manchester United is searching for a quality goalkeeper who can perform and confidently step in for De Gea.
Onana, the goalkeeper, is still young and active at the age of 27. He won't soon lose the determination to be a good goalkeeper, in my opinion.
If Manchester United can afford the 60 million euros Inter Milan is asking for, they should try to sign him. He merits the cost.
ten hag will not take risks by trying goalkeepers who have not been tested on the field and as runner up in the champions league last season onana's performance with inter milan has been tested.

Seeing Onana's performance at Inter Milan last season, in fact, he has good potential for long-term investment for Manchester United, he is still young and the value of his transfer will continue to increase, but I also see that what Inter Milan is doing is very unethical (reportedly Inter did get andre onana for free) because 60 million euros is quite high, if Manchester United stays at 45 million euros then I really believe Inter Milan will release Andere Onana to Manchester United because reportedly Inter Milan really needs money.

966  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature and Forum Campaign Question on: July 05, 2023, 05:08:40 PM
Hi all, I have been on this forum for some months now and I noticed this rule by signature campaign managers when applying for a signature campaign. In fact the rule is one of the prerequisite for getting paid. One of the rules is that posts made in boards where the signature is not visible will not be counted. Another rule are boards where if a participants makes a posts it will not the counted. I am going to ask these questions out of curiosity. First question, why are there boards where the signatures cannot be displayed or aren't visible on the forum? Second question is why do campaign managers exclude certain boards for posting and others where posting is allowed?
you don't understand what the campaign manager means, they don't forbid you to make posts in that section or thread signature invisible, they just won't count it, this is their requirement, if you go to WO thread then you will find all members those who make posts there won't see what signature they use.

campaign managers make rules like this only to make the campaigns they handle can be right on target and gambling site owners who trust their campaigns on the bounty manager can get maximum results (if you paid campaign participants but did not get maximum results, would you be happy?)
967  Economy / Economics / Re: Fast Transportation Makes Economic Turnover Faster on: July 05, 2023, 04:09:42 PM
When considering the faster transportation, we should also check out the quality of the medium.
The high number of other transportation vehicles on the highway may have been one reason for the jetpack development, but we should consider also where such a medium can be used.

In a suburban setting with lots of phone cables or poles, trees, and congested buildings, a jetpack might be a good idea for fast transportation, but it could be the worst case of irresponsibility if an accident occurs.
When we however remove such a suburban setting,  the jetpack could be the best thing that may have come to deliver great economic turnover for those businesses who rely on swift deliveries as service.
jetpack might sound pretty crazy but how about a flying car,

Quote
The first flying car, 'Model A,' approved by the FAA and it's 100% electric
[1] https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/2023/06/30/first-flying-car-approved-by-faa-available-for-preorder/70372117007/

currently the development of air transportation is continuing, maybe at this time humans have only reached the lowest level for flying vehicle matters but what about in the future, that really cannot be stopped.  i am sure that in the next 15-20 years, we will see massive traffic jams in our sky, flying vehicles (jetpacks, flying trains or flying cars) will decorate every sky in our respective countries (sounds crazy but this is just a prediction lol).
968  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Not Just Buy BTC? on: July 03, 2023, 07:35:01 PM
I've seen over one dozen websites believing that BTC will skyrocket in the upcoming years.
The platform I use is Coinbase.
I'm thinking of just buying BTC-USD and just leaving it be.
Any thoughts on this strategy?
the strategy that you are using is a long-term investment, have you set at what price you will immediately sell the bitcoin that you hold, this is very important so that you really make a profit (not just buy, then leave it in your wallet in a long time)

but if you plan to become a long-term trader, you must also determine at what price you will stop-loss and at what price you will take-profit.  find a strategy that makes you comfortable, and don't be easily motivated by other traders even though the strategy doesn't match your habits.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: July 03, 2023, 06:20:12 PM
It's unfortunate to hear about your friend's situation with his wife discovering his gambling habits. Sometimes, such revelations can lead to difficult conversations and tough decisions in relationships.
the most important thing in any relationship (whether it's family, friendship, and partner) is openness and honesty with each other, but a husband and wife must be very open because such a relationship is very intimate.  the habit of gambling is not bad as long as it doesn't make it difficult for one another because having a family is not easy, don't just because of the gambling habit you have, the family that was previously intact has fallen apart.  keep watching and discussing everything with your partner when the gambling activity he has started to interfere with social life in the household.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think topics/discussion on gambling addictions is too much on: July 03, 2023, 05:15:47 PM
This is gambling discussion sub board of the gambling board of bitcointalk forum,  and the main goals of the gambling board is where casinos introduced the platforms via creation of ANN threads and also the discussion sub board where gamblers discuss many other topics as relate to gambling.

But recently I have read a lot of topics as regards to gambling (addictions) and it negative effects on individuals and how we have warn against it,  but at this time I am beginning to think that we are focusing too much on gambling addiction rather than employing ways to avoid addiction but at the same time gamble and have fun to the fullest.

The topics and discussion about gambling addiction is becoming too much and too often to the point that most newbie may likely get scared away from gambling which will not be ok for the casino revenue generation so at this point I am force to ear my view of this topic of gambling addictions, becoming too much in this board.

Or what do you think?
i don't really see the topic of gambling addiction very much (i haven't bothered so far), but the topic of gambling addiction is not in just 1 topic.  other than that some people have other goals in creating topics about gambling addiction (such as to meet the weekly quota of signature campaigns they participate in)

but you can ignore topics that you feel are not important to discuss (such as topic discussions that you feel have been discussed repeatedly or topics that will never end) that's your right.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 02, 2023, 11:20:21 PM
According to the media Manchester United wants Hojlund from Atalanta and they did a bid for 35m €.

There is no way Atalanta will accept the offer, according to previous rumors they were asking 60m for him.

He only has 20 years, they will need someone crazy and with a lot of money if they really want that bid.
apart from man utd, reportedly juventus also really wants hojlund, even juventus claims that holjund is much better than vlahovic (because of the goals and assists scored by Holjund throughout last season with Atalanta)

as a talented young player (he is very good for long term investment), actually the price offered by atalanta is not expensive imo, that's why i think man utd and juventus are too stupid if they don't buy holjund at that price (maybe the price in the next transfer market will go up because of his pretty good performance)
972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 02, 2023, 04:41:54 PM
I came across an article How Old Do You Have to Be to Gamble in USA?. In this article, i saw that the minimum age to gamble is between 18 to 21 years. I wonder if the online casino do follow this minimum age for gambling.

Yes, the gambling sites have our age data through the KYC documents. Do they ever restrict anyone who is underage to not to gamble?
Also, if we find any site allowing minors to gamble, can legal action be taken against them?
snip
one of the reasons why some gambling sites require KYC is to prevent underage gamblers from using their parents' money to gamble but nowadays children are very smart, they can falsify KYC data, they will only pay some parents to do KYC for their account.

the minimum age in gambling is almost difficult to implement effectively, there are many loopholes to get away from it, and one other important thing, many gambling sites also do not require KYC for their users.  It is necessary to intervene from all parties to be able to prevent under the age of understanding gambling as early as possible.
973  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which one of this is important most? on: July 02, 2023, 04:01:55 PM
I have been thing of this thread for a while now and I have checked a little if there's any but I haven't seen any of it , so a beginning to ask if the post is not quality enough to be posted on this forum or if my research wasn't well searched.
The illustration of this topic is kinda common these days on the forum and the new comers (brawn new and newbies) I don't know if other top ranked users make such mistakes, some of these users post things thinking they can be merited but forgotten about there reputation on the forum, some of these users don't know that their reputation is more important than there ranked on the forum, so it keeps me wondering about merits and reputation which one of this is more important in the forum?.
"reputation" (1) is much more important then "merit" (2)

it is useless if you have abundant merit but in the end your reputation is destroyed because of something unpleasant that you did in this forum (plagiarism, threats, slander, fraud), reputation on this forum is like a foundation on a building, without a good reputation the building (account) will be destroyed and it will not be easy to return (the reputation), although merit is needed to rank up in this forum, don't chase it too much because you might will accidentally break your reputation.
974  Economy / Economics / Re: Bad impact when You carry out Online or Offline Loans on an ongoing basis on: July 01, 2023, 09:02:18 PM
i have experience that has helped me a lot about an online loan, a few years ago i was really helped with an online loan (helping the small business that I started until now), at that time i had no other place to get fresh money quickly, luckily someone my friend recommended an online loan platform even though the interest was quite high at that time, i made an application for the loan and slowly i paid in installments every month.

from the story that i told above, i am "neutral" towards all forms of loans, sometimes there is one time when you really need it and have no other way but to do the loan, but it is important to remember that to be wiser in managing your finances, don't When we experience financial difficulties, we just regret that we never studied financial management.
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto another form of gambling? on: July 01, 2023, 07:24:35 PM
I was kinda surprised when I read the news from Financial Times that the cross-section of the UK's MPs that seems to see it as needless to regulate cryptocurrency suggested that it should be viewed as "a form of gambling" and be regulated as such.

Without relying on my own understanding of "gambling," I quickly used the help of the Oxford Dictionary through Google, and it states;

1. Play games of chance for money; bet.
2. Take risky action in the hope of a desired result.

The second one seems to fit crypto best, so it's clear they know what they are saying.

Now, do you agree that crypto should be seen as a form of gambling? And if this eventually comes through, what should we expect as the constraints it might still bring to the crypto space?
when you hear the phrase "bitcoin is gambling" then show them about satoshi's vision and mission of creating bitcoin based on the whitepaper.

It is important to know that what is known as gambling is playing with luck (usually sports betting and slots), while bitcoin is a currency as well as an asset that you can use for anything (including for gambling, paying for something, trading or invest)

to be able to understand what bitcoin is, requires a conscious mind, don't give rejection from the start because you won't be able to understand it properly.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship 😳, Will you Bet? on: July 01, 2023, 07:08:10 PM

You as a gambler..
1. What do you make of this?, is sex truly a sport and is it supposed to be carried out openly?
2. If casinos pick this up and make provisions available to users to bet on this supposed European sex Championship, would you bet?

Lets have some serious and healthy discussion here..
what happened to sweden, are there no other sports that they can develop, how can they make sex one of the sports they compete in?

the reason in my opinion why sex cannot or is not suitable to be used as a sport is because sex occurs between a pair of humans, there is an emotional bond in it (you will get quick ejaculation when you do it with the one you love), how do we know someone's resilience when they do it with random people?  this is ridiculous..  i would never ever spend my money betting on this kind of absurd nonsense.
977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: June 30, 2023, 11:23:35 PM
    -   Maybe let's just admit that there are a lot of us men who are more inclined to gambling and most of the women don't really like to gamble, that's the reality of what's happening of course. There are only a few women who like to gamble.

Most of the girls would rather go shopping than gambling, that's what I noticed too. And there are also men who hate women who gamble in casinos.
do men not like women who can make a lot of money from gambling?  of course the answers that can be generated are very diverse about it (when money is always talking in this world)

(i don't mind meeting and marrying a woman who gambles quite a lot if she can make a lot of money and keep her family financially free from it)

in some countries, the views on women gamblers are of course different, i got writing from an article which showed that in countries where gambling is legal, women are not looked down upon, in fact their existence is sufficiently acknowledged.

Quote
Several surveys and studies in several countries show that around 30-40% of total gamblers are women. However, these are general figures, and actual percentages can vary depending on a variety of factors, including culture, gambling regulations in each country, accessibility of gambling, and individual preferences.

978  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk own Casino complaint panel on: June 30, 2023, 11:02:22 PM
I recently read this topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5458053.0 about Rollbit disabling the user account without further explanation. By the flow of this case, It's either the user will use 3rd party service to file complaint or the representative of the casino will directly answer all the complain on scam accusation thread. The problem arise when both party claimin they are right while they can't provide documents in public, Most of the time we recommend to move the case on Askgambler to have a mediator for the case.

What if we have our own group of trusted user that can act as mediator to look on the case. We have a lot of talented and respectable user here that capable on handling the situation while most the casino representative has a close contact on campaign manager here.

Do you think this is a good idea to solve cases like this? Take note only case that involved a valid evidence and argument will be considered. A tip is also required in case the complainant is willing to use the forum service.
i really support this to be realized so that neither the users nor the owners of gambling sites feel disadvantaged, but what i believe is that when this is realized, there will be many complaints that will be created and i'm sure trusted members or even forum moderators it will not be able to handle all cases.

i see just being the place as it is now, it's a good thing for the forum to exist (without being a moderator in any case), but the support of every trusted member is important enough to analyze any reports of possible cheating.
979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Thought On Gambling Strategies on: June 30, 2023, 10:32:40 PM
I think people don't understand that there is no strategy in gambling. Gamble but consider your spendings on it as an entertainment expense. Got luck on your side and won? Good. If you don't you still had fun.
stop saying that gambling only relies on luck (you play carelessly without having rules for your own gambling activities)

if you see lucky people winning a number of jackpots in slot games, they use various strategies such as martingale, anti-martingale or other strategies that can make them get the maximum results, of course while paying attention to the capital they have.  only 0.1% of idiots who play gambling without a strategy win big money, it's almost impossible, the majority must use a strategy to continue to make a profit when they play slots.
980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which League Makes Sports Betting Easy to Win? on: June 30, 2023, 10:10:42 PM
A tipster on one of the social media platforms advised his hundreds of followers that making money from sports betting is easier if they stop betting on European Football, which has just concluded, and focus on the Singaporean leagues, South American Leagues, and the Scandinavian leagues. Although some of his followers agreed that they've won some bets in those leagues, they also cautioned that there is a huge likelihood of match fixing occurring there as well. So everyone should be careful. I have never bet on those leagues as I am too careful. Can anyone share their experience with betting in these other leagues and make a comparison between betting there and betting in the Champions League, EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie Do not mention match fixing(it has been earlier pointed out), but talk about which is easier to win in and how much you made in comparison.
according to what i've experienced in several football bets, i see the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and the Portuguese league are the easiest to guess because so far only a few teams have become the rulers in that league.  but sometimes some bad luck happens, unexpectedly weak teams can sometimes win from strong teams who are at the top of the standings.  i still recommend continuing to provide a good strategy so you can continue to win at soccer bets (without good strategy and planning, the bets you make will only be in vain)
