961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRATIS | The Microsoft .NET/C# Blockchain Development Platform on: June 15, 2016, 06:01:23 AM
It seems interesting, even if companies are working more and more with linux (server-side) and mac (user-side). There is still a big part for Microsoft.

Is this is pushed by Microsoft or Stratis is completely independent?

Hi JakeRTFM,

Stratis is completely independent.

962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRATIS | The Microsoft .NET/C# Blockchain Development Platform on: June 15, 2016, 05:28:57 AM
Regarding the signature campaign, it says 14 days minimum and 20 posts. So someone with the signature for the full 7 weeks and someone for 2 weeks get the same reward? Sorry if this question seems patronizing, I do like the looks of your project and want to include it in my signature but I may want to support some other projects with my signature as well if I have several weeks to do so.

Hi andyatcrux,

Participants get rewarded for every two weeks and 20 posts the signature is visible.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRATIS | The Microsoft .NET/C# Blockchain Development Framework on: June 15, 2016, 12:22:53 AM
Shame. .NET probably downgraded the value of this project.

You'll need to create a version targeting for windows 10, and windows 7/8. You wont be able to reach enterprise organisations who frequently use Linux. and does that have Mac systems. You should have released this project under Java, C++ Qt, or Python Qt.
Apart from my opinions above.. . it pretty much sounds & feels like another ripple, without portability options.

But, I would like to know real-time statistics of how many people, who are actually hosting nodes, including how many nodes being hosted by your organisation.

Hi NyeFe,

NBitcoin currently supports Mac and Linux using Mono.

On our roadmap will be moving to .NET Core which is the latest version of the framework, .NET Core is the first version to be opened source and also support Windows, OSX and Linux with no need for 3rd party emulators.

Librarys will be developed for the various Stratis API's and blockchains in JS, Java, Python etc, but the core of the platform will be developed in C#/.NET. C# is one of the most dominant languages in corporate software development. Stratis is going to open up Blockchain development to a huge new user base of developers.

The Stratis Main blockchain will be fully decentralized, so it cannot be compared to Ripple.

"But, I would like to know real-time statistics of how many people, who are actually hosting nodes, including how many nodes being hosted by your organisation."

Is this in regards to the Stratis Parent chain or the Baas platform?
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRATIS | The Microsoft .NET/C# Blockchain Development Framework on: June 14, 2016, 11:40:46 PM
Is this just another white paper or is anything actually developed yet?

Hi shojayxt,

The Stratis full node and development platform will be built on top of the NBitcoin framework.

Nicolas Dorier has been developing NBitcoin since May 2014. He has made 1280 commits in this time and NBitcoin is a near complete alternative to Bitcoin core. It is also the only cross platform alternative and I believe at this time its the only implementation of Segwit outside of Bitcoin core.

The below post is a response from Nicolas Dorier to post #7! As it keeps being updated.

Keep in mind Nicolas has developed a near complete rewrite of Bitcoin core, authored a book on Bitcoin development and also made minor contributions to very important Bitcoin improvement proposals, such as segwit.

Nicolas Dorier:

I think that people bashing C# does not know what they are talking about.
Java is very much retarded language, with lots of over engineered libraries and not as portable as C#.

Also, the user base of C# is comparable to Java. (http://stackoverflow.com/tags)
No even mentioning Unity which is the most popular gaming dev plateform.

Take a look at my book about NBitcoin on http://n.bitcoin.ninja/ and enjoy cross plateform bitcoin development without headache.  Smiley

Mxxxxxx has been banned from bitcointalk for few days, we should protest and hold a minute silence in his honour Smiley
but seriously bitcointalk Mods, He is our community manager and we want him unbanned asap

Wait what? Why did he get banned?
This is actually retarded, Spreadcoin's dev got banned too a while ago. He was banned for giving away coins. They were testnet coins.
How bad are the mods? They'll probably remove this post.

I think he got banned for posting updates on how xpool and allnuts multipools are doing. Updates that everyone in the community wanted.

Hi, yes mxxxxxx got banned for posting updates on xpool which they regard as spamming. It's not like the xpool updates are the same everytime.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>UPDATE<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

It is my pleasure to announce the Fibre-Ocupy collaboration.

While Bobby and Mammix2 completed ZeroTrust, amongst working on some smaller projects for Fibre I provided some assistance in the architectural design and planning of the Ocupy Network.

I really like the project and what they are trying to achieve. They have some very talented developers and a great team behind it. Together we can do great things.

The partnership

We will have a collaborative think tank that will be attended by Fibre development and Ocupy development. This partnership will only see cross collaboration on development and not marketing or promotion. They have strong skills in Front/Back end javascript development which is something we are missing. I don't need to speak about our skills we have Bobby6killers and Mammix2 a real seasoned crypto developer.

Software-As-A-Service

ZeroTrust will be the official transaction privacy protocol of the Ocupy Network. Now we are not talking about implementing the ZeroTrust code into the Ocupy wallet. The Fibre blockchain will be used.

When a user sends a ZeroTrust transaction on the Ocupy network it will be converted to Fibre > Sent through ZeroTrust > Converted back into Ocupy Coins > Then delivered to the recipient address.

Ocupy will be developing a web based ZeroTrust interface in the ocupy.net site. This I cannot wait to see.

Providing our features as a service is a direction that Fibre will be focusing on more in the future.

Im sure other coins will soon be providing their services on the ocupy platform. Having the rights to all transaction privacy tech is a great achievement.

Amazing work Fibre Team.

The latest shift for the Xpool Multipool paid out over 9 DRK, 28 BTCD, 5 FIBRE & 0.011 BTC.

We have the new multipool now running full steam so now all my pool's hash rates are combined and already showing great results and payments are flowing. This should increase and stabilize the profitability

DRK Miners that use X11, get paid DRK above and beyond what I mention here. This is because when we find a DRK block, you instantly get allocated your DRK share and it gets paid within a few hours of a block maturing. You don't need to wait for any exchanging so you'll get more frequent DRK payments as more DRK blocks are found.

Anyone can add an additional payout addresses to get your mined coins sent to you direct, instead of exchanged. You can also choose to split your earnings between any of our payout currencies!

Any problems, please PM as I may miss your post.

Cheers!

The latest shift for the FibreCoin Multipool paid out over 143 FIBRE.

Still need more mining support on this pool. The slower speeds cause larger fluctuations in profitability.

Suggested minimal rates SHA: 5Th/s+  X11: 1GH/s+

Cheers!

Afternoon all

Thanks Crackfoo, we appreciate everything you have doing.

Price drop is just flat out strange; why does a coin with such strong tech and an active dev team, have almost no buy support? I could dump this thing down to 10k right now if I wanted to, I'm not gonna but i could.  Not really worried though, just confused.

maybe its because of the association with that scammer metcalf and blocknet? I was all about fibre but my friends and I pulled out after all that nonsense. it sucks because this is a solid coin, just the selfishness of the scammers once again causing problems in our community.

Morning

It looks like some market manipulation is going on at the moment, some whale wants to buy cheap, it's nothing to do with Blocknet. Yourself and friends should have stuck with fibre as you stated, we are a solid coin with a bright future.
