962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 04, 2024, 10:37:42 AM
I do not trust any experts and this applies not only to gambling as even if someone has received an expert title for his past predictions it does not mean that his future predictions will be 100% correct. As we can see people are often wrong, so when making any decisions based on someone else's opinion, keep in mind that all financial risks are borne by you, not the expert you listened to. He bears only reputational risks.
Exactly my thought, but some folks tend to believe this so called expert to an extent that they might possibly stake the actual sure prediction given to them with a huge significant amount of money all in the name that the prediction is supposed 100% assurity. In gambling there is nothing like an assured winning or prediction although there might be cases of the so called getting his prediction correct but it's never a guarantee that he might get the next one correct or the one after that one.
Well you will people that actually trust these expert bettors, well it can be sometimes to the high level of testimony and praises from people that actually convinced them into having such trust and believe I have seen many people claim that these channels are actually working for them and it always make me wonder how possible is this. And if you seen some of these telegram channels you too would be convinced to the  preciseness that the winnings keep coming and sometimes back I was led to understand that these pictures and videos can actually be edited which then really explained alot.
963  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bet9ja vs Forex on: January 04, 2024, 10:29:43 AM
From my own side I go talk say the two of them na actually prediction because even after you dn run analyses you no really dey sure of anything. I dn ask people wey dey into forex but some dey claim say e dey different. If you get idea about the two i go like know if anything really dey different for the two of them
My brother the two from one sense na actually same but the difference is that one is more hype to thinking that you can actually make a living out of it while the other one na purely luck business. For me the two of can be related to luck and stats, although many people believe say you fit use same stats follow up gambling but my brother I tell it's not easy and I would advise sef for anyone wey no get watin dey give am money to actually avoid this method because these two things need proper and strick income because you fit turn addict if you say you wan carry for head.
964  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Hand work and skill or well paid government employee on: January 04, 2024, 10:22:54 AM
Nobody will see a good job that generates good money that will turn it down, the reason why most of us create job for ourselves is because their are no much job out there if you are looking for one and most times creating a job can be very financial stressful.  I think if I see a good goverment job with a good pay , I will go for it, save money to later establish a business that can bring more income for me . But the way the economy is going I think it is good for people to get skill .
Well said brother, na the way the country be nai make people dey attach an extra skill or handwork to support them because if you follow only profession this country fit go fuck you and dem don fuck plenty people and the worse part come be say these people them no even get any hand work or skill to support them for the real world because if to say dem get dem for depend on the system to actually survive and as many people dey see the economy dey go na come dey cause many people to go secure second option to take survive.
965  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for January on: January 03, 2024, 10:16:37 AM
Well I don't believe that we are in the bull market yet, although the market is trying to push up but saying that we are in the bull market is too bogus at this early stage because same movement occured at the early stage of 2023 and as we progress further into the year we saw some decline in price movement although I understand the reason for the poll to be this supportive of the bull market being now and this is maybe due to much said bull to come between 2024-2025 year.
966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Power Of Bitcoin on: January 03, 2024, 10:00:55 AM
Cryptocurrency is slowly taking over the world and some hotels are now accepting Bitcoin as means of payment and Bulgaria as a country owns the highest Bitcoin as a country.
Around 2018 a friend of mine bought some unit of Bitcoin equivalent to $1,000 and also advise me to do same but I refused and was skeptical about it because I was of the notion that "what is really moving is coin of a currency" fast-forward 4 years later my friends share or unit of Bitcoin skyrocketed to $10,000 and I was at thr losing end just to be left with the thought of had I know.
When Bitcoin first broke out there was a man Laszlo who exchanged $10,000 worth of Bitcoin for two Papa John's Pizza from Jeremy but fast-forward to today Jeremy can purchase a million pack of pizza worth $10000 and still have more BTC left for him .
Nevertheless me falling short of the first opportunity of buying Bitcoin I'm still hoping of an opportunity to present it self so I can get the little bit of Bitcoin to my custody and I also advise both my friends and enemies to buy as much cryptocurrency they can because cryptocurrency is the currency of the future.
Well most of us here have gone through your own experience and some people today are still skeptical but all the same at least you have the enthusiasm to actually buy some coins and most importantly you have gotten rid of the regretful feelings because most person feel guilty that they would have bounce when the price was low and nothing they can't anymore as they fear the price won't go up again which if you look at it is really absurd but notwithstanding couple mate and get your buying shoes on because the market is heading somewhere promising and i believe you wouldn't want to miss out again .
967  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Anytime na opportunity to invest for bitcoin on: January 03, 2024, 09:54:12 AM
Bitcoin investment is something wey dey open and any body we dey interested to invest for bitcoin can invest at any time, but some people no dey like to learn before dey invest and na the thing dey make them to loseguarde for their investment, wetin I wan tell my people be say make we dey buy bitcoin and dey keep am any time wey we get money to buy bitcoin, some of us dey wait until somebody tell them say na now be the right time to invest for bitcoin before they go invest, so I no blame them because na the wey dem use know bitcoin

See my brother the truth be no be everyone nai Bitcoin Investment dey for and most persons dey even invest in Bitcoin because of the plenty good Tori wey dem don hear and that one now go come put the mentality of dem actually making it overnight with Bitcoin for their brains whereas dem no know say even to invest in Bitcoin nad get profit na big matter because e no easy at all.

- before you invest, you must get something wey dey give you money on a steady to Avoid tempering with your coins.

- you must not dey fear say Bitcoin go drop because na dis fear dey make people sell off their coins.

- you must be patient, because an investment in Bitcoin na slow and steady because na process e dey take build up momentum.

And so many other factors wey involved for someone to actually benefits from their investment.
968  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Can this be the start? on: January 03, 2024, 09:44:21 AM
Watin you do here na to click the coins wey dey hot and I believe say e no get time wey you go click this part for your binance app wey you no go see coins wey dey trend be it Bitcoin or any other and also if you click the losers side you go see say many coins too dey dump even for the so called bull run. But that being said the start of 2024 dey show promising growth and watin we go hope on be say make the trend continue although the many speculation all dey point out say this year go be good year for crypto investors.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich, average or poor. Who loses more? on: January 03, 2024, 09:39:02 AM
It is true that the average poor person is more affected by gambling and it is basically as a poor person to increase the possibility of luck will change them to get big opportunities, which can change their lives in an instant, especially in the lottery, although it is unlikely that they will try their luck with that kind of thing even though losing is a common habit.

I myself think that it's not that someone who uses bigger money can get more chances of winning than someone who uses smaller money but the fact of the matter is that 100x at $100 and $1000 is different.
Have you seen people that use low odd which encourage them to use higher amount of money to gamble? That is how it is. If you use low odd, you will have more chance to win but because of the high amount of money used, a single loss would be a huge blow that will make the person to be losing than several games won. Be it rich, average or poor, anyone among them can lose more. If anyone do not want to lose in gambling, they should gamble responsibly with small amount of money that they can afford to lose.
Yeah that true because the lower the odds the more closer you are to win but there is some disadvantage to this because you will have to bet the game with some fucking huge amount of money and believe me when you lose because the possibility of losing too is still there as lower odds doesn't perfect the wins but just reduces the risk management, and the loses come in huge figures whereas high odds results to frequent loses due to risk involved but the amount is smaller compared to those who use high money to stake.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How possible is it to win lottery 14 times using mathematics calculations on: January 03, 2024, 09:34:46 AM

Navigating through articles online got me attracted to a catchy caption yet disturbing (the link posted below).
I am  a stern believer that gambling. Which I believe that lottery is, is purely a game of luck rather than skills or expertise.
How this managed to happen repeatedly for 14 times means it's not just luck, something else must have happened.

https://www.unilad.com/news/mathematician-won-lottery-14-times-317063-20231230

Leave your opinion if you think it's 100% luck to be  winner or there is a particular skill needed.
I don't love clicking links, but I think the guy is full of shit. There is no way to be that lucky unless it's rigged IMO.
Am with you on this because the chances of possibilities is so slim that I would call whatever that occured a well plan event between someone on the inside or rigged somehow because there's no way that someone would win 14 at different times not talk of winning it on a row. This story is just too bogus for me to believe.

972  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First buy Bitcoin as a newbie, good way to start. on: January 01, 2024, 06:42:27 PM
Never invest in anything that you have zero knowledge even if it's Bitcoin.

OP isnt a newbie just as @Zaguru12 has said. He may be newbie in the forum then but has gotten enough knowledge from someone about how Bitcoin works. Most newbies doesn't have knowledge about exchange and some even do anyhow with their keys. Just like OP has said, it's a nice idea starting with Bitcoin as a newbie but you need little if not much about Bitcoin to get started so that you won't be risky your hard earn money on something you know nothing about.
Well I think from my POV, you don't actually have to be a newbie for you to fall under the category of person actually doing such stupid acts. Sometimes one can let guard down and eventually do all sort of nonsense even the ones they know fully well that can isn't worth doing. But mainly if you are lacking basic knowledge then investment on something you don't know about is as crazy as actually giving someone your money for free because you never can tell the risk involvement and how legit the project is.
973  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: earn from Bitcoin on: January 01, 2024, 06:34:23 PM
Well there are lots of way to earn Bitcoin but I think if you really want to be someone that is considered serious in the aspect of  actually having tangible Bitcoin then I think you will have to go with the aspect of actually buying it with real hard cash as that will improve your Bitcoin HODLing to some extent because buying Bitcoin on a steady is really good method especially when you are using the DCA strategy to follow up. Well there are some free faucet like freebitico that can earn some stats when it comes to claiming free Bitcoin.

975  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: New year's Goals. on: January 01, 2024, 05:18:09 PM
Well I don't actually believe in such things although it's quite personal but I feel its just me trying to deceive myself because I have tried it and it isn't actually working for me so I just tend to flex it out and live my life the way I deem it fit and of course let mature to take it's course in the pattern of my life cycle. Well for people to start up the years with something like the new year resolution are person that are actually discipline to some level and I think they do achieve but in my case it doesn't just add up as I do go back to my old deeds.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 01, 2024, 05:07:35 PM
A gambling expert brought i and some friends a guaranteed predicted game and asked us to stake a a high amount so that we winning could be huge and so we can give him a percentage of the money at winning.

I don't believe there could be a 100% guaranteed game but yet my friends who are eager to make profits in the gambling accepted to play the gamed as instructed and at the end of it, they all loosed the game and at then, the rest of us were happy because we didn't play the game else we would had loosed as others.

I want to ask, do you believe in experts gambling predictions?

Well I have been there and have also done that and what all my experiences, I believe no such thing as experts that give out sure games, I mean common man, are they super humans or do they know something you don't actually concerning football? Well I believe even with all your knowledge the luck factor still holds the game because football is something that is definitely unpredictable to some extent and almost everyone fall to the victim of this particular factor because sometimes the most craziest of things can actually alter the outcome of a football game.
977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there long-term profitable sports bettors? on: January 01, 2024, 04:42:36 PM
I wanted to open a new discussion on this issue. I recently watched a video about gamblers. There was a presenter who helps gambling addicts get out of the dark streak in their lives. He worked in the bookmaking business for many years. He believes that there are no long-term profitable players in sports betting. This is impossible by definition. If you start to win often, the bookmaker company begins to cut your odds, either reduce your winnings or block your accounts. It's as if the bookmaker is telling you, "You're not here to get rich." The presenter claims that he does not know any profitable players over a period of several years. There are rumors that such players allegedly exist. But where are they and who saw them? What do you think? Are there profitable players in sports betting?
Very true mate, that's on the aspect of the bookmakers trying to block your account if the winnings are too much and I say this because of an experience a friend of mine actually had on a particular local sportbet site. He found an interesting way to actually win on only this particular site and it was as if their system actually had some glitches because it was on a particular odd he kept following up although the odd isn't always found but whenever he see it he always play it with lots of cash atleast that's from what he told me but the real talk is that he won so big and frequently that the casino had to block his account for no reason reason claiming that he does cheat in his account to get those winnings which made me wonder how true is this because I now came to understand that the casino actually wants gamblers to actually lose on a steady.
