961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This was my highest risk. on: February 06, 2024, 09:19:46 AM
It wouldn't call this a high risk, because you were risking 150 Naira and that's $0.12 US dollars, but this was a high multiplier, you get close to x100 on that bet, and is really hard to do that in sports bets, so congrats for your win.

In the past, I tried to find the best way to get big multipliers in sports betting, and from my point of view, the best way is to win 3 basketball games on draw in a parlay, that would pay x1000. But is really hard to win a parlay like that.
I think you got the whole set up wrong because the risk been talked about here is about the initial bet placed but the OP highlighted that he bought the game from a friend way more higher than the initial amount used by the original owner of the slip and I think the reason for this is because the owner wasn't sure or not willing to take the risk involved in letting the games remaining to be decided so the OP knowing fully well that the game isn't decided still bought it regardless and if you ask that's some hell of a risk because the game might have gotten a U-TURN  and he might have lost a lot of cash being the actual funds he used in buying the ticket from his friend.
962  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is the only currency that has grown the most!! on: February 04, 2024, 09:43:16 PM
Present, there are many altcoins in the crypto market and they have grown a lot. But it has gone down and gone again, but Bitcoin is the only currency that hasn't gone down yet, instead it's going up. I've noticed that Bitcoin has grown the most over the past couple of days, but altcoins haven't grown as much in comparison. Currently, we see Bitcoin market above $44000, I think it will bring $45000 very soon. Will Bitcoin Touch $50,000 By This December?  What do you think about the way the Bitcoin market is currently growing?

There are many currencies that have been showing interest in coming along way far as bitcoin had been but yet they can't withstand the relevance of what bitcoin has always served, in terms of performance, there are alot of them thst have a market price performance in recent times better than bitcoin but they are not reliable and cannot be trusted the way bitcoin had always been, we know this truth for the sake of the experience crypto users that bitcoin is the only most reliable digital currency, which also have proven years of consistencies and trust.
Well when it comes to profit generation, I think there are couple of coins that can get you some high value profits but you would have understand that the risk sometimes involved in these coins are like 50/50 because at any second the coins that is yielding high profits can decide to dropped dramatically that even you yourself would be surprised to how and what really transpired that lead to the massive dip and that's where Bitcoin beats all because when Bitcoin do dip so many people are joyous because it opens a wonderful opportunity for many to buy as there is always certainty that it will go up again.
963  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Social media is a breeding ground for scamers, be intelligent while you explore on: February 04, 2024, 08:54:05 PM
Exactly what I was saying this evening about the possibility that someone can easily get scammed if he goes to search for information about Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency in social media platforms. These social media platforms are breeding ground for scammers as they know it hosts lots of people that are naive in terms of their level of knowledge so they use that advantage and claim to be all sort of different expert for the gullible ones to believe that and get scammed because I believe if anyone has been exposed to the knowledge and warnings that Bitcointalk highlights, they would high possibility of them avoiding such silly scams.
964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to present the previous history of Bitcoin to the general public through. on: February 04, 2024, 08:31:09 PM
Reading stories is my old habit. One day while reading stories online, I saw an advertisement, that advertisement was of Bitcoin, based on that source, my journey to Bitcoin or crypto currency.

I want to present the past history of bitcoin or crypto currency in front of people through social media and so that people can know more about bitcoin because I think I should have known about bitcoin earlier. nowadays, people are very pioneers, so there are many who learn a lot at a young age. I would like to know your opinion on how to increase the interest of Bitcoin among teenagers on social media.

By using what topics a common man will like to read about Bitcoin and will be able to gain clear knowledge about Bitcoin and show interest in investing in Bitcoin ?

Well if there is any place I wouldn't want to hear or learn about Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency, it would certainly be on social media , why do I say this ? Social media has turned to another thing, it's like the place is a like a hunters ground for prey by the scammers and believe me I have certainly come across so many stories of people trying to scam others in one social media app or the other. I think this community or other community like this would be more preferable in terms of trying to spread more adoption and curiousity on people minds about cryptocurrency.

This community has more than effort topics and discussions that can cover for the specific knowledge that you seek interest on, just learn how to use the forum by searching the particular data you need and also surf around a lot and you will surely get acquainted with the information you need.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction does more harm than mere financial loss on: February 04, 2024, 08:20:14 PM
It all depends on the degree of gambling addiction. When it is too great, there is almost no chance of final winnings, as the player will continue betting regardless of the size of the winnings as long as he remains conscious. This is why psychological treatment is necessary for overly addicted gamblers.
Well I don't know how they do class the levels of addicted persons but what I do understand is that the craziness of the gambler do increases when the amount of money he is exposed to also increases because at some point his aim and target will certainly be above what he is getting on steady and that's when the greed comes in play because the more you get the more you will always want to have and some of these gambling take this habit of their and face it on their gambling and the results is just something that you wouldn't be proud of if you were actually close to the addicted person.
966  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Accumulate assets of different forms Now on: February 04, 2024, 08:14:16 PM
Holding unto a worthy asset for over a long period of time is a good investment choice, but however, trading it way where there is an urgent need of fund, is a wiser decision rather than holding it when it's your only source of finance to resolving your urgent needs, because the truth of the fact is that both O.P and 99.9% of people on this forum would never have accepted a deal with Laszlo Hanyecz (i.e the man who paid 10,000 for 2 pizza) if he has met any of them to trade that same 10,000 for $50 far back on 22nd May 2010, I'm sure non would have accepted such a deal, simply because Bitcoin never had a value back then. So let's just stop acting as if we wouldn't have done the same if we were "Laszlo Hanyecz" who was so dearly in need of a pizza.

Well I know for sure that I wouldn't have accepted such deal seeing how low the price of Bitcoin was , but I think you can't actually say the same for everyone because believe me I have seen some folk hold on to some damn shit price of coins all with hope of getting something huge in the future ahead. When it comes to holding of coins, am just curious why would anyone start something they cant finish  and end up tempering with the coins all in the name of their to meet their ends need.
967  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Having patient in an investment or quit? on: February 04, 2024, 08:01:58 PM
No business or investment without risk, we can try to reduce the risk of the kind investment or business we partake by depositing less capital but the profit can not be high when you are investing with small money.
Being scared of risky can only make us not to get the profits that will make us strive harder for more money, some of us do most businesses, invest in a source that have little risk but at end the source end the other way (scam).
IMO all business and investment have the same risk, the same risk because you can lose your money at any time, patience doesn't work perfectly all the time sometimes people are being patient for something thsts worthless.
When they say patient in this context, I think you can relate it to various meaning and if you are to look at it from an investment purpose then having patience is an excellent choice to make and I believe it's this same lack of patience that have made lots of investor or investment gone down the drain, someone that lacks patient will be eager to see his profits grow at a rapid rate and in so get involved in all sort of things that won't benefit him or her and so turning back to cause problems for the person.
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another health benefit of online gambling on: February 04, 2024, 07:48:24 PM
Some people have that phobia to bet offline where they can be communicating and discussing the games that they want to bet, they want that crowd ambience but that should not make someone who has been warned against staying in crowded place to continue risking their lives. Betting from offline and online has difference both advantage and disadvantage, the friend should sacrifice whatever benefit and joy he is deriving from offline to focus on online gambling whose advantages are also enormous and that will preserve his health too. With online betting, at least he will be on low key and no want will be able to monitor him except he discloses his activities on gambling to someone else.
Some gamblers miss the thrills that's involved they bet on offline betting shops and that's what triggers their mind to think that offline betting is better than online and you know we can't deny the fact that offline gambling is filled with lots of action packed fun too but some gamblers like you have stated already see this as disturbance and prefer gambling in their own quiet place with the serenity of their peace of mind.
969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be stolen? on: February 03, 2024, 10:47:05 PM
Of course bitcoin can be stolen because just like your fiat it's also a currency and also an asset so you are the one to guide and protect it as it belongs to you and only your carelessness is what can lead to it being stolen and again since it's digital makes it even more easier and that's why it's always advisable to do everything pertaining the safety of your coins offline and off the internet because it can easily get hacked by expert and free loaders.
970  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin is one world currency on: February 03, 2024, 10:37:24 PM
It is impossible for the world to have just one currency because it is not just one government that is controlling the whole world,  with this one currency for the world won't be possible. If bitcoin was something so easy for the government to destroy, bitcoin won't have be existing till this time. The reason why we have bitcoin till this time is because it is decentralized and can't be manipulated by anyone. But I think if it was possible for the world to use one currency i don't think inflation will be very high.
Well we all know that this is impossible but let's look at the ups and down if actually this did happen, well first of all, variations is what even makes the crypto space interesting because humans will always like to test out their power of choice and that's what keep the human race also active. If there was only one coins then manipulation and control will of it will be a thing of joy for the government. And also the price manipulation would be a lot easier and always in favor of the actual nation that has access to controlling this cryptocurrency.

972  Other / Meta / Re: USE OF CHAT GPT-RULES on: February 03, 2024, 10:21:44 PM
I know that there are probably rules, somewhere that I haven't looked. In general I feel like noboby has really posted Rules to Chat GPT. Of course I know its foolish to use it direcly as if you are the one who created the text/thought but what about quoting? And What about as a research tool? Chat GPT really helps to you skip the learning curve if you know how to use it correctly. It has helped me loads with simply understanding complex thought that I didn't undertand. I just made a post quoting Chat GPT and I don't even know if that was following the rules. If we can't avoid it which we definitely can't, that means that Chat GPT is veriy similar to BTC in this aspect lol. What do you guys think about Chat GPT? I'd love a Btalk Bot that has kind of like a chat GPT engine but geared direclty towards helping the users/ newbies with literally anything. Would love to see this THEYMOS! I wonder if this has been discussed? Huh
Alot of members agree that this place is an interactive community so everyone should be able to converse with each other at least that's how it's supposed to work but it's just funny how people now get robots to do their chatting and conversation for them 🤔🤔. I agree that the AI helps a lot when it comes to compiling and understanding things but Atleast when it's being explained one should be able to do the rest with his own brain that actually created the actual bot that help him.  😁
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a generous gamblers on: February 03, 2024, 10:13:29 PM
I don't if everyone feels this effect but I think it's like a general thing though and that feeling am talking about would be the feeling of giving your gambling winning with a lot more ease than other funds. For me it's way easier to give from my gambling winning especially the ones that I tend to win so easily. It's like the funds is actually not planned for so many people like myself get a little bit confused when it comes to it proper use.
974  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make reading a habit on: February 02, 2024, 10:37:55 PM
Well atleast you get the picture because unlike you many other Newbies have failed in this part and they just think of how they can grow so very quickly without even first thinking of getting or gathering something upstairs first here because like they say, you can't really give what you don't actually have upstairs so reading is actually the key to success here and the best part about this is that you get to gain more knowledge aside from only Bitcoin or crypto knowledge.
975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another health benefit of online gambling on: February 02, 2024, 10:27:27 PM
My neighbor has tuberculosis and from the information I gathered from a reliable source, his case is so severe. He is at the lung cavitation stage of the disease and he has been advised to avoid overcrowded environments for his health and the safety of others. But my neighbor who is a responsible gambler will always visit physical betting shops. Some physical gambling shops in my area are poorly ventilated and they could be overcrowded and stuffy. Sometimes you could see that he is struggling to remain in the casino shop and such cases he would be coughing heavily. I have told him to focus on online gambling but he told me that he is more entertained in physical bet shops.

Betting with online gambling firms will shield you from contracting communicable diseases because you are all alone in a comfortable atmosphere. My neighbor's behavior has made me focus only on crypto casinos because I am scared of my health. Don't get me wrong there are many well-built and very comfortable physical casinos that offer quality services, but when you are an online gambler you will not need to worry about the health concerns of fellow gamblers.
Well in one aspect of looking at it, I would say you are right but on the other I can argue against you too because your life as a human is all about socialization and you can't tell me that because of this case of your friends health then it better to play online than going to land base casino. The choice of gambling fun differs for various individuals and am certain that not everyone like online gambling especially not in a country like mine that gambling is so legal that you can actually end your bankroll in your bedroom in just a session of gambling due to fast and easy deposit option with your bank card.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sir Garry's betting tips for today on: February 02, 2024, 10:18:41 PM
Your guess accuracy is quite high. Even though your betting tips topic has only just begun, you have a respectable 15 correct guesses and only 3 incorrect guesses. That is already a great start.

I will make a wager on your most recent suggestions.  Juventus to win and over 1.5 goals in the Nigeria vs Cameroon match.

I cannot wager on Real Madrid because I want Girona to win the La Liga. Real Madrid can win and put Girona back to second. Las Palmas is also in good condition and will be playing at home. Both will score but I will be happier with a draw.

Guessing 12 predictions right out of the 15 predictions so far is very commended and I will also follow up on this thread to see how things goes before making my decision. Although, I don't like combining two or more games to accumulate 2 odds for some reasons. In short, I don't fancy betting on small odds like this and if I should bet on 2 odds, it must be single game with straight 2 odds.

Lol, I see you mixing emotion and gambling on Madrid game. It's good to avoid betting on games when you allow your emotion to play in because you can not secure both at the same time, you must sacrifice one. My eyes are on the AFCON prediction but I don't see many goals in Nigeria against Cameroon game. Goodluck to you and others who have bet on those games.

Good day esteemed members
I haven't posted for a while, the market has been quite discouraging
We put in a lot of effort to analyze and predict games but the outcome doesn't always go as planned,..but we must keep pushing regardless
I have some games for today
3 odds accumulatively

BRISTOL VS LEEDS
Checking statistics, the chances of under 2.5 playing out in this match is quite low, both teams have a good record of scoring goals
Based on their head to head and latest results the match has a high probability of leeds winning full time
My prediction here is 2x

STRASBOURG VS PSG
Away straight win is a good option but considering that home team has scored 28 goals at home and psg has scored 41 goals at away
We should expect multiple goals in this match...my prediction here is OVER 2/ take note not over 2.5

SAMSUNSPOR VS GALATASARAY
Galatasaray are in good form, they won their last five matches, samsunspor have not been able to win Galatasaray in their
Last five encounters...over 1.5 is a good option
But my prediction here is AWAY DRAW NO BET

THUN VS STADE
This match has a high chance of home winning full time, thun have won 54 matches out of 119 matches...stade have won 6 out of 18
Stade have not won thun when playing against them from away, thun are very defensive when playing at home, home to  win is a good option but my prediction is HOME DRAW NO BET

HEIDENHEIM VS DORTMUND
This match should be quite interesting..The home team are good in goal scoring and  are quite defensive but some of their key players are sidelined with injuries
Dortmund on the other hand have been outstanding...they would be looking forward to winning this game to have more points to surpass
Stuttgart on the table, over 1.5 is a good option but my prediction here is 2x

39AC3825
Sportybet

Remember to stake what you can afford to lose
Thanks for reading

Congrats to those that played
3 odds was successful
Nice one again sir_Garry, but I would like to advise if you can actually make the bookings on a casino that is quite known and also trying it on a sportbook that's actually crypto related because most of the users here are fans of crypto casinos and I think BC.game would be a good example of such as their user interface is pretty simple and also the registration is smooth and without stress and the reason why I say this is because maybe many people would have tried to access the booking code but it wouldn't have been working.
977  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Which one dey pain pass? on: February 02, 2024, 10:00:45 PM
I ask dis question to no which one dey pain us pass wen ever it happen to us, your coins disappear from your wallet and u by mistake send your coins to wrong address which one dey pain pass?. I no say many people don experience those mistakes before wen dey lack d cryptocurrency knowledge before dem became wise not to expose their seeds phrase to people or not to send coins to wrong address wen their face is not too clean like wen sleep still dey your face or in d early morning were some users use to do d mistake. well, I never experience d two but I only experienced one among d two were I copy d wrong address hoping dat I copy d right address and send to d person but I was shocked wen d person talk say she never received d coins I send dat I should check d address very well which I checked to discovered say na wrong address I copy, and it caused me some days before I recover from dat pain because I checked de address very well before I send d coins but i never knew dat I by mistake copy wrong address, which I no dat d fault na me and my mood change completely at d moment.  if you have experienced d two before, can u share your experience so dat we will no how to relate to such people wen d incident happen to dem.
Me too I thank God say I never actually experience anyone but I know very well say anything wey go make me  lose my coins unintentionally e go pain me well well to the extent of even getting mad at someone close to me at that instant so nai make me I dey very very careful of how and the way I take wan send or receive coins because I no wam ever here stories that touches.
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To what extent have you hated yourself due to your gambling losses? on: February 02, 2024, 09:43:51 PM
Knowing your limit in gambling is everything and I can bet that 90% of all gamblers fail to access this control. It's very hard to stop gambling when losing because your brain and thought will all be focus on trying to get back that win and their is this stupid thought that always come with it too which is the thought of gambling all instead of stoping at the moment of high losing spree.
.
As a gambler I have had my bad days but am just greatful that I didn't let it destroy me because I realized where the urge was taking me to and had quickly stop and revised my pattern if not my days would have been filled with lots of regrets.
979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction does more harm than mere financial loss on: February 01, 2024, 08:26:34 PM
An addiction to anything is flagged as an error and then when it's narrowed down to gambling or drug addiction just makes it the worse of it kind. The above listed facts are all true about when someone is a gambling addict and this just shows some damaging the effects are and still yet so many persons out there still don't know what's involved in getting too fancy with a particular habit. Addiction is what every gambler avoids and that what's also paints the image of gambling as a bad activity in the society because of the side effects seen from most gamblers who have turned mental.
980  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie traders, work on yourself. on: February 01, 2024, 08:03:34 PM
New traders need to prepare themselves first because trading theory is very complicated.  If a newbie comes into trading without acquiring proper knowledge, he will face many problems.  So you should prepare yourself at the beginning of trading.  Market analysis, holding, patience, greed control all should be mastered very well before trading.  You have to follow someone who is skilled in trading to learn these things.
Many people don't actually know this or they feel reluctant about the lessons being told to them. Well as they say experience is the best teacher, that's definitely how many newbies will actually learn about trading risk. I once told someone that don't look how easy people portray trading to look like that the act is really really complicated and you could lose lots of money in trying but he never listen so I left him to see the results for himself which turned out to be a perfect lesson for him as he lost about 140$ to the act.
