961  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Halving Effect??? on: November 11, 2019, 03:58:34 PM
I'm still a newbie and I'm confused.

Bitcoin halving is expected in May, 2020. From what I've been reading about halving, it seems that it should have a positive effect on any crypto coins pricing.

Today I read about Litecoin/LTC halving on August 5, 2019 and the halving effect after three months is negative, it's down 30% since the halving.

Is that also what can be expected of the Bitcoin halving?

The condition of Litecoin halving can not be use to judge or prediction what will happen during bitcoin halving and the reason why Litecoin yield a negative result instead of positives is because it don't have massive user base level like before, when Charlie decision didn't poison the coin holder and investors mind.
Nevertheless, most altcoin will surge in price when the halving effect take over the market but is not every altcoin that's good for investment.

The dip of LTC instead of going up after halving I guess is related not to the community, there had been reports that Chinese likes this  altcoin. But I think the case if very different from BTC knowing its paired to almost all altcoins which anyone with a shitcoin can switch their funds to BTC unlike LTC.  Basically BTC is the base currency in crypto.

962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges that conduct IEOS You should stay away from ? on: November 10, 2019, 08:00:57 PM

Even when there is the guarantee of the exchange, its still not the case since IEO scam involves the exchanges that means their are two parties scamming the investors instead. Bounty hunters that were trying to promote all the campaigns run for these IEO were also scammed in a way. The only projects that I see that were given the chance to be int he market were the tokens which are on EOS and TRX, they are not even doing ICO nor IEO.
963  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders who never bother to learn how to trade on: November 10, 2019, 07:18:49 PM
I think most of the new traders are just attracted because of the possible profits and not with the passion on trading. They think its a good vehicle to get rich quick even with when they have zero knowledge about basic trading. Some think its easy because of the “buy low, sell high” sounds easy but its not, theres more than that phrase.

There are articles our there that says 96% of traders lose their money due to bad trade. That means out of 10, theres only 1 who are successful. I wonder how the study are made since not everyone are open to discuss their trade, most will just keep it by them selves.
And that is another problem, one basic advice that most of us have received at one time is to do what we love and the reason behind it is obvious you will have a tendency to be better at what you love simply because you will dedicate more time and effort to it since it is not only a way to make money to you but your passion, but if you do not like an activity then you will not do the same and you will never be as good.

In this market it is easy to see many traders that only care about making profits but they are not interested in the process of generating those profits, like studying different trading methods, reading books and testing their strategies, and without that you cannot be successful.
For them, buy sell and hold is already enough to make profit. That is why not much new traders who can actually analyze market and then trading with their skill. Even to pick a coin to buy, they rely on luck. And for now a lot of people really confident with that way of trading, and then blame bitcoin when they lose.

Same for bounty hunters, they promote whatever is there and see if its going to deliver and got high rates on exchanges only to find out its a scam.

If a person wants to earn daily by trading, he has to learn and it isn't as simple as buy low and sell high. If day trading isn't for you, you try being a swing trader who only trade when the market looks very favorable due to the trend being very obvious.

964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Things You like To learn on: November 10, 2019, 05:54:47 PM
I'd be interested to see tutorials about trading systems and how to use indicators on articles probably with screenshots to it and technical numbers as to how to use it. More indicators inside the chart that is explained in the content would be better. Indicators combined with others to predict where the market is going within an hour or in 4hour chart. With such content I guess we'd all be learning not just economy but learning to catch fish not just eating fish.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 Cryptocurrencies Predicted to Dominate the Market in 2020 on: November 10, 2019, 05:26:44 PM
Well!! As you all know currently crypto is down, cryptocurrencies are not performing as expected. Moreover, various crypto influencers like Mcafee and others predicted particular coins as per their potential in the crypto market.

2020 is near.. knowing the top 10 cryptocurrencies in 2020 is very important which will benefit the traders to overcome problems.

What do you think?
I also have predictions that are almost the same, but some coins are not included in my list, namely: litecoin, neo, and tZero. these three coins in this period only, or lately it is very difficult to go up significantly. than those 3 coins, I believe more in the doge that will come to enliven the market in 2020.
I have not much of faith in tZero myself. It does not appear to be a long lasting coin. But other two are good coins and they have been in the market for long now. Though not too good at giving profits, but these can be trusted with money for sure. However, the top priority of an investor should be bitcoin as that is capable of giving the most in the least time. Top 10 keeps on changing but top one never changes.

tZERO is not recognized by CMC or the likes of it. How can the author already see its going to dominate.
I'd rather put my trust to the top coins mentioned by most traders. NEO, EOS and ETH are mostly trusted by the users since its obviously on top but there are some who dislikes EOS for it being centralized. BNB would certainly be one of the coins to outrank others since the exchange are going to be widely even by the US traders.

966  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Could Make Bitcoin Drop To $5? on: November 10, 2019, 08:13:50 AM
Satoshi dumping all his bitcoins. I bet that will create a domino effect that will lead to bitcoin crashing. Imagine all the FUD popping up when the creator itself dumps his coins.  But the likelihood of that event happening is very low.

And why would anyone want bitcoin to drop the price that much? It would only disrupt the growth of cryptocurrency.

This is more of a possible thing to happen if Satoshi still holds his private keys. I think he lost it and even if he claims to be the real satoshi he will be ignored until he can send coins out of his wallet. And that's the time we may finally see whales panic. We then have to find an alternative to BTC and the result will be massive dumping to buy such alternative ultimately making it the NEW dominant coin.
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ultimate List of Exit Scams & How to Spot One on: November 10, 2019, 07:53:12 AM

I doubt anyone right now can get their BTC back from those scams.
The list of coins like PlusToken, Bitsane, Pure Bit, MapleChange, Modern Tech and  Centra I think are not very well known projects that were hyped. I'm wondering if the funds they claimed to have collected are real data.   $2.9 Billion is really big I wonder how it was promoted. Didn't invest to any of it but almost try that Bitconnect back 2016 except that I listen to the warnings from the users who said its a scam.

968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, do you guys think cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon? on: November 09, 2019, 08:52:21 PM
I haven't been trading my bitcoins and cryptos since this year begins, but I have noticed that the hype train is slowing down since then, compared to last year. I want some honest opinion about the future outlook of BTC or crypto per se. Should investors invest in it ?
This is absolutely Your opinion and you are entitled to it.But I think the hype this year was even more than from previous years.Cryptocurrency clearly sympathizes with a huge number of people, so no doubt it will be used. And about whether to invest in it or not-it is the right and choice of absolutely everyone. From what I will give you advice nothing will change. You either already invest or have never started.

In any situation, there is really 'hype' even in real life, but, what he mentioned that the 'hype train is slowing down' maybe yes, as people becomes more wise actually, but, as you can see the Bitcoin has increased in price from November last year which is $6k and now at $8.8k, it is slowing down in terms of price , but still a good sign that it is stabilizing.
From the point of view of price, yes. But will only price bring joy to you? I suppose I will be more delighted if everyone starts using bitcoin and investing in it than just watching its price rise!

Blockchain is being adopted in several companies already, its pretty much useful for all and just the early stage yet. Why would anyone thinks cryptocurrency will soon disappear where in we haven't fully used its potential yet. Blockchain can be use in several ways not just cryptocurrency. Companies can use a token's blockchain along with storing records and documents like certificates and property documents. These are pretty much useful case for the projects, they won't allow technology to die.

969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Withdraw your funds from the top 10 Exchange now !!! on: November 09, 2019, 07:14:55 PM
this is a warning !!!
Top 10 big exchanges is the next target hackers !!!
good luck, and be careful Smiley

Just apply your mind and do not unnecessarily react on such fud. Although it is preferred to keep your valuable coins in some secure wallet instead on keeping the same in an exchange wallet but such one statement from a new person on this forum is not enough to react immediately. Good exchanges wallets are secured enough provided you chose 2FA authentication. Try not to share sensitive information of your account to any unknown person.
Usually hackers nowaday target the hot wallet directly by exploiting the hole within the exchange security however they also phished people into giving away their data so I think 2FA could prevent from hacking aswell
I do agree that OP is just being too paranoid, the exchange will always invest into the security of their exchange because once hackers could get through it is the same as being doomed by that fact investing to security is the first thing to come in the mind of an exchange developers

If someone is too afraid of losing their cryptos the answer is as simple as using hardware wallet.

Withdrawing your funds would mean you will forget trading and just hold your coins. There is a good side for that but you will also be missing the party by doing that. Though it safe to have your coins in the hardware wallet, you are trying to stop earning. Everyone is trying to accumulate BTC from the market, its your chance while we are in the accumulating phase. Let the hackers hack their way because when that happens the price will also dip which is another opportunity.

970  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Cryptocurrency should I get? on: November 09, 2019, 04:45:19 PM

You still up to make money even for your age. The internet isn't hard for you to learn I guess since you found your way to post in the forum and I guess you also have a mobile where you can install a wallet.

Go for BTC. This is good time to invest into BTC since it had drop a bit. BTC is the most popular so there is no way you could go wrong with it. Just don't put all your money to it since its your savings, its meant for your retirement.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the most interesting / fun person in the crypto space? on: November 09, 2019, 02:33:18 PM
I think I'll choose between Andreas Antonopolous, Changpeng Zhao or Charlie Lee. I think choosing the top choice for me would be hard between Andreas Antonopolous and CZ since both are bullish to bitcoin and advocates of it. While with Charlie Lee, I'd like to ask on how he got a hint with his words about taking seriously the dump before the market actually dumped. And how it's timing when he has sold most of his Litecoin holdings before the bear market.

Andreas Antonopolous can really put the things in his mind into something fearful yet fun to hear specially if he talks about how fiat works and how government can fuck the people without realizing it. Besides discussing how bitcoins works, all these I only learned from him by watching him on youtube. The guy is a legend, I forget to watch my favorite TV series when I see him on youtube.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Withdraw your funds from the top 10 Exchange now !!! on: November 08, 2019, 07:23:55 PM

They were all a target for hackers, BTC is money and hackers with malicious intent are going to keep finding ways to get access to these exchange no matter how small they are. The bigger the exchange the more they will try to go there but these exchanges also improving their security. Binance were targeted months ago but they quickly handled it. Most of them probably get more than 100x attempt everyday. What's up with that hackers now trying to spill the information about their failed attempts.
973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Business ideas with 60 Bitcoin? What would you do? on: November 08, 2019, 05:51:56 PM
What would you prefer? Casino/Sportsbetting/Wallet/Exchange and which has the highest earning potential?

These businesses are expensive to set up and run especially you have no experience and will have to hire professionals to do it for you. 60BTC might not be enough to fund it.

I suggest you do a traditional business like small restaurants or groceries but accept cryptocurrencies as payments. Or start a business that you are already familiar with. Most entrepreneurs build their business around their hobbies. That is more likely to succeed than forcing yourself on an already saturated niche.

This seem to be a better idea than setting up an online business which this 60BTC may not be enough while the risk is much higher than the cost to build it.  An offline business would be a better option for you. If I were in the situation, I will probably buy a rover and convert it to a hotdog and burger stand that I can drive to places and accept crypto as pay.

Casino/Sportbetting or exchange is going to cost you more than 60BTC.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Few Bold bounty hunters still walks among us on: November 08, 2019, 04:48:00 PM
Some bounty hunters still hold on to their tokens even when every thing looks not so good for crypto, through successful bounty spreadsheets some bounty hunters still keep their tokens for example gowithmi, why? Do you think they are doing the wrong thing? Will they regret later?

Gowithmi I think is a really god project, the team is legit, they had released their apps already and they didn't even cheat the bounty hunters like the new teams these days. These I guess is a good sign for being good project.

What nonsense.

Bounty hunters hold their coins first because they are difficult to sell, the prices that we see now for many coins do not meet the expectation of bounty hunters, because of this they hold coins for a more convenient case.
With rare exceptions, they hold coins believing in their prospects, such projects in the unit market. A much more profitable way would be to sell new little liquid coins in favor of old proven projects.

Tokens are already in the coineal exchange, the reason why they find it difficult to sell is that they find the price unacceptable. But if they were on coineal when the price was still up $0.01 I guess they now have bought back to have doubled the quantity for their tokens.
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: majority of blockchain project has lost focus on: November 08, 2019, 02:59:34 PM

There is too much positive things that blockchain had brought into this world since the Satoshi deliver it to us. Companies as big as google tried it.  It can even be used against the cryptocurrency users but its going to be a hell of a battle again for democracy that blockchain had won already.

But its going to be unfair if you say scamming investors is the motive of this technology. We all know the  government money are the scam of all time.
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is noone talking about V Systems? on: November 07, 2019, 08:07:45 PM
There is a thread about it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5095853.0

Its just something that people do not expect when all of a sudden a new project emerges and out rank those who had stayed on top for quite awhile. I have no idea about it too I read few of the websites content somehow I get some of it. Isn't cloud base project considered decentralized as well?
977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: honest opinion on our future gaming platform project. on: November 07, 2019, 07:24:15 PM

Are you going to release a coin for this project or gamblers simply use BTC?

3 months before is gong to be ready. Thats a lot of time to think of how your can come up of a marketing plan but this thread could be the start. I'm already interested to try how this p2p on poker.  How do the platform earns from the gamblers since this is p2p?

978  Economy / Economics / Re: China is able to do 50%+1% attack. It means, China dominating the crypto's. Or? on: November 07, 2019, 04:39:02 PM
Even if the successfully destroy BTC using that quantum computing, they wouldn't be able to destroy blockchain. It would be pointless to destroy this technology and bitcoin because there are already forks. Anyone in fact everyone can create their own coin if they wanted to and will still have intrinsic value if we try to reboot and again start fresh with quantum resistance.
979  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do long term holding profitable in all cases? on: November 07, 2019, 03:44:22 PM

If you believe we are too early in crypto you would really have to think that the price will one day shoot up just like the bullrun days and you may even profit more if you just hold and stake your ETH instead. ETH is one top token for the smartcontract, there is no one yet had tried to oust ETH even when WAVES already have but its nothing compare to ETH.

However if you think you are losing opportunity right now as there are more to invest than keeping ETH on your wallet, no one can stop you from doing it.
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CMC and coingecko on: November 06, 2019, 08:56:27 PM

So its possible that coins that are not listed in CMC could be in coingecko, I now see how they can be both useful. I just use CMC all the time when checking prices in the morning just when I wake up and somehow in the middle of the day til before I sleep. This is probably the reason why CMC ask so much for advertising on his site. Damn we all help them get richer everyday.
