i sometimes wonder that we pay money for a just ledger entry, it seems so simple in this way, but seems very risky that just a ledger entry for michael saylor's billions of dollars.
i think in this way because i don't have technical knowledge. but it has so many advantages also, like saving taxes, security, anonymity, profit, etc.

you know our local shops like kirana stores, novelties, hardware shops, etc. all accepts online payments like google pay, paytm, phonepe, upi, etc.

what if we convince our local shop owner's to try accepting payments in bitcoin like sticking a printout(QR code) of wallet address in next to other QR codes(google pay, upi)

in this way our people who are not familiarized with bitcoin will also start to learn about crypto and bitcoin. is it a good idea? anyone will try to convince locals?
Haha, even though your idea is awesome I would suggest you do this only with people you know or atleast are regular customer of. Because suggesting someone this in a country like India is risky, he will see you very dubiously first of all, also he will think that you are manipulating him and you might also have your own benefit. Mostly he'll let it go because of all bad things heard by him on media and if something bad happens to his funds he'll blame you. So beware doing such things here where crypto sentiment is very bad.

yes, when randomly we tell any shopkeeper then, how he will trust anyone and then also in finance category.
but the people we know like our neighbour dukandar and so. then we can try atleast.... just an experiment.

967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: April 13, 2023, 08:02:00 AM
You really have to show me which slots you are playing that gives free spins every 50 spins, because those Slots are a myth. I usually spin between 250 and 500 spins to get a free spin on most Slots and I feel lucky if it hits between those numbers...  Roll Eyes

The Gamomat Slots actually gives more Free spins more regularly, but they payout very small multipliers. You have to hit it a lot of times before it pays out a much bigger multiplier.  Roll Eyes

this is your misunderstanding,

this is tips if a slot don't hit in starting phase(like first 50spins) then move to another slots, because if you play at that slot more you will going to lose, maybe be sometimes you win, by i am sharing my experience with slots.
if you disagree with it then what can i do, it's just my experience with slots in this line: that if slot is not hitting in 50spins, you feel like it is eating my all funds then you should move on to another slot. if not moved to another slots then you are going to lose in the long run on that specific slot(long run means 100 - 200 spins)
968  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: April 12, 2023, 07:49:50 PM
borrowing cash might seem like an easy way out when you're strapped for dough, but you gotta remember that it can lead to a serious debt spiral that's hard to shake. like you said, the more you borrow, the more you owe, and it becomes harder to get back to square one.
a lot of us live beyond our means, and that's why we end up borrowing in the first place. the media and society push us to spend more, and it's tough to resist the urge to get the latest gear or go on fancy trips. but that kind of lifestyle can get you into some serious financial trouble, especially if you're constantly relying on loans and credit cards.
and it's not just a problem in america – it's a global issue. personal debt is on the rise everywhere, and it's getting out of hand. that's why it's so important for individuals to take charge of their finances and start living within their means.
to get started, you can create a budget and stick to it. yeah, it might mean making some tough choices and cutting back on the fun stuff, but it's necessary if you want to avoid getting stuck in a debt hole. and don't forget to focus on paying off any outstanding debts before taking on any new ones.

another way to improve your finances is to explore other sources of income. you could take on a side hustle, sell some of your unused stuff, or start a small business on the side. by boosting your income, you can rely less on borrowing and get your financial situation in better shape.
to wrap it up, borrowing cash might seem like an easy fix, but it can lead to major debt problems. you need to take control of your finances by living within your means, prioritizing debt repayment, and finding other ways to make money. with these steps, you can improve your financial health and avoid the stress that comes with being in debt.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / do you lose on slots? on: April 12, 2023, 07:27:20 PM
i play slots hoping to win 'big win' or 'jackpot' but many times it don't hits and my balance get drained after betting many times in one slot machine. i play more bets hoping it already took my so much balance it will definitely going to hit this times, but it never happens, and my balance becomes "0".

so i am sharing some tips to avoid this type of losing streak or bad luck in slots.
here it starts:

1. always set a budget for playing slots and stick to it. do not chase losses or try to win back what you have lost by playing more.
2. if a slot machine does not hit in 7-10 spins, consider trying a different machine. this can help you avoid getting stuck on a losing streak and losing more money.
3. if you have been playing a slot machine for 50 spins and have not gotten any free spins or big wins, consider switching to a different machine.
this can help you avoid wasting money on a machine that is unlikely to pay out.
4. avoid playing slots from Pragmatic and Gamomat as they tend to have low payout percentages and are not as likely to result in big wins.
5. be careful when playing slots from Belatra and Spinomenal as they can be unpredictable and may not always pay out as expected.
6. if you do hit a big win, consider tipping any nearby players who may have been unlucky or busting. This can help spread good karma and keep the atmosphere positive.
7. avoid getting "slot psychosis" where you get stuck on one machine for too long. remember that slots are based on random chance and there is no guaranteed way to win.
so, take breaks, switch machines and remember to have fun!
8. first check the RTP (reward to player) and RTP should between 96%-100%
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is like usd it also cause inflation. on: April 12, 2023, 02:01:38 PM

maybe after long long long time bitcoin is considered as global currency,

assume i sold a laptop to you for 0.01 BTC and after some time the BTC fall 2% by price. (but, how we would compare bitcoin's value i assumed that the us dollar is still in the market)
then i got my 0.01 BTC and now i want to buy the laptop from you but you are saying i will charge you 0.01BTC+2% for this laptop. overall i made loss of 2% in this trade.(or profit when price rises)

is BTC value will stay at a constant? it's not possible because the btc will constantly go out of the circulation. and it will become more scarce.
so how will the price will be determined ?

it's really getting confusing.
971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / bitcoin is like usd it also cause inflation. on: April 12, 2023, 01:32:53 PM
how bitcoin is deflationary currency ?

like a typical bear market lasts for a year or 2 year (i don't have enough experience of it) and assume that i bought 1 bitcoin at the price of $20000 , and after 1 month the bitcoin's price dropped 10% means my money get less valued by 10%. maybe after 1 year the price dropped ~50% the my hard earned money got value of $10000

what will happen if bitcoin is considered as global currency, it will never fall more than 5%-10% ?

bitcoin is also like usd? like when people buy more when the interest rate is low. then it causes inflation. and when government increase interest rate the usd valued at where it was previously.
it's also true with bitcoin it's price fluctuate and causes inflation?

973  Local / India / Re: What happens next? on: April 12, 2023, 07:23:42 AM
overall, the taxation of cryptocurrencies in our country is still in a developing area, and the regulations are subject to change.
it is important to stay updated on the latest developments and consult with a tax professional (if you have enough money in crypto) or financial advisor to ensure consent with the laws and regulations.(like following the rules set by the government and getting permission before doing anything that may be regulated)

977  Economy / Economics / using credit card on: April 11, 2023, 05:12:18 PM
i am studying in college, i was really excited to get my first credit card Wink. i thought it will give me a sense of independence and allow me to buy things i could not afford with cash.

though, i quickly learned that credit cards can be a double edged sword. while they can be helpful in building credit, they can also lead to debt and financial trouble if not used responsibly.

at first, i used my credit card reasonably, only for like emergencies or small purchases that i knew i could pay off in full each month. but as time went on, i began using it more and more for larger purchases and impulse buys, without really thinking about how i would pay the balance off.

before i knew it, my credit card balance had  blown up to several thousand dollars, and i was struggling to make the minimum payments each month. the interest charges alone were eating up a significant portion of my income, and i felt like i was going under debt.

it was not until i sat down and made a budget that i realized just how much my credit card debt was affecting my overall financial health. i had to make some tough choices and cut back on some of my expenses , but finally,
i was able to pay off the balance and get back on track.

the lesson that i learned here is that credit cards can be a valuable tool for building credit points/scores and making purchases, but they should be used responsibly and with caution. it is important to keep track of your spending(like keeping a journal), pay off the balance in full, each month if possible, and avoid carrying a balance that will increase interest over time. by being mindful of your credit card usage, you can avoid debt and maintain your financial health.

i am weak at economy, is it wise decision to use credit card?
978  Other / Meta / Re: can we see these stats? on: April 11, 2023, 08:23:39 AM
In fact this information is available here: https://bitcointalk.org/SSI.php?ssi_function=whosOnline

And I'm surprised that this page is not exploited by our crazy coders to make nice stats and graphs Smiley.

Didn't know! Thanks for the info!
I believe that many, like me, are unaware. Or maybe I was just too distracted. Roll Eyes

It is a page that I will keep and maybe I can have some idea of how to work with this information. Tongue
Didn't know this existed actually. For sure that whoever sees this and also a programmer would make this much easier to view. I can see that during this time only a few people are online. Well, it's understandable since we have different time zones. It's good to know you can see who's online or not, gonna bookmark this one for future usage.

heres one more site like this, i found yesterday check out here : https://ninjastic.space/

you can see here : posts per day, posts per month, merits sent and received in a day, how many posts posted 24hr, you can search post by post number, you see stats of a particular user, etc.

and bpip i think everyone knows, who don't : bpip.org    , here also too much interesting info available about bitcointalk.

Grin Grin Grin LOL. I liked the monkey part.

But tell me something, is it true that the guy is holding 50 crore worth of crypto ?
If so then yes we must be jealous of him because we didn't put in the same effort as him.
But if not then there is another example of a guy who genuinely put in so much effort and holds worth millions in crypto.
He's none other than Vitalik Buterin and he's just 29 yet has achieved so many things already.

Oh ! vitalik; since he was 19year old. when his interview i saw.
