961  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Building headless Bitcoin and Bitcoin-qt on Windows on: July 01, 2015, 03:55:24 AM
Hello, First i want to say, great tutorial! Sadly im having a small issue with the dependency portion of the install. Im quite used to linux, and actually recognize quite a few of these dependencies from previous linux wallet builds. However with this windows install i keep getting stuck at the qr deps section. The error im receiving is:
Code:
$ make
rm -f pnglibconf.c pnglibconf.tf[45]
gawk -f ./scripts/options.awk out=pnglibconf.tf4 version=search\
            ./pngconf.h ./scripts/pnglibconf.dfa\
            ./pngusr.dfa  1>&2
gawk -f ./scripts/options.awk out=pnglibconf.tf5 pnglibconf.tf4 1>&2
options.awk: bad line (10): com
make: *** [pnglibconf.c] Error 1
[/color]
Any ideas how to fix this? after a google search ive found a few similar questions.... however the answers provided are for osx, and involve symlinking /usr/include pointed to /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.9.sdk/usr/include ..... which is no help to me lol.

pool is nearly built however im having issues with the daemon, i have generated 3 different addresses and when adding to my pool config as the pool address,  i recieve the error "Daemon reports address is not valid" any ideas?
Ive even gone into my sql tables and removed the original 3 "invalid" addresses and then generated a new one to use for my config... still the 4th is invalid?? is there an issue with the daemon or blockchain?

NEW ZETACOIN POOL IN OPEN BETA!
~http://zetacoin.latenightminers.ca~

-37 Blocks found so far
-MPOS with VARDIFF enabled 256-20560 (retarget every 30 secs)
-0% Mining Fees (any donation goes to server upgrades)
-Workers are auto-added on first connect.

(As pool is still in beta, interface updates/server upgrades/code tweaking may happen suddenly, ALWAYS have a backup pool set in your mining config)

Excellent, the more pools the better.  Stronger network, more visibility, better distribution.
Zetacoin is starting to really get noticed and will be reaching critical mass very soon.  My only regret is not buying more when the price was under 1000k.

Currently under a pretty heavy DDOS attack, server will be down untill i can add some mitigation software.

BACK UP AND RUNNING WITH A DUAL LAYER FIREWALL AND SOME HEAVY DDOS PROTECTION Smiley HASH YOUR HEART OUT!!!

Awesome thanks for the link, setting up a vm now to give nomp/mpos a go, if i get it working properly ill migration the config over to my pools Smiley Thanks so much for taking the time to help
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Few questions about MPOS advanced setup. on: June 21, 2015, 06:24:31 PM
Sadly no im not using NOMP, im running a LAMP server on ubuntu 13.10, mysql, apache2, MPOS, and twistd stratum. So my setups are either, stratum (config.py), stratum-mining(config.py), or MPOS (global.inc.config). Although if NOMP allows the multi port so easily i may just switch over eventually.
Thank you for your quick and concise response Smiley

<edit>
As far as you know, are there any other benefits to using a MPOS/NOMP combo? (I enjoy the MPOS frontend, and have alreday customized it too my liking lol)
</edit>

<edit2>
doing some research into NOMP, and it seems WAAAYYY better then the stratum im currently using, so ill likely make the switch soon, Thank you for your input nd pointing me in the right direction Smiley

975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Few questions about MPOS advanced setup. on: June 21, 2015, 05:46:07 PM
Hello all!
I am currently running two VERY small pools (in open beta), on the same home server (so multiple stratum setup isnt my issue as both pools have found multiple blocks already) and have built quite a few MPOS pools in the past. (tried coiniumserv.... too many issues).
So here are my questions.

1) I am currently running VARDIFF, however i would also like to add 2-3 extra ports per pool for a specified diff. Do i have to setup a whole new instance of mpos and stratum? (running against the same wallet i assume) or is there a way to specify 3-4 ports per instance of MPOS, each with a different diff?

2)I'd like to implement a feature where if a user uses their wallet address as their username, it automatically adds in "account settings" as their withdrawl address. Is this possible? and if so is there any basic framework already in the MPOS source i can just add this feature too? Or should i get writing? lol

3)How can i remove "wallet address" from the registration page? and simply allow the user to add it in later? (or use the above feature once implemented?)

Thank you for your time Smiley (sorry if this is the wrong area to post... went to the "pools" thread and saw that anything for altcoins cannot go there... im running quatloo and zetacoin currently).

so im not sure if this is normal or not (ive never seen it with any other staking coins.) but my staking rewards seem to be only half.... as shown in this screen shot. I am not running any masternodes (which i believe are the only ones at 50% reward).
