961  Economy / Trading Discussion / Step you have to take before venturing into the market on: January 05, 2024, 03:45:49 PM
In as much as trading can be very profitable if carried out properly, it also can be very risky, because you can lose all your fund if not done properly, so today I will be listing down step you have to make first before venturing into the market;

(1) Go for knowledge first: as a crypto enthusiastic or an investor it's very necessary that you knows all that it entails on how to navigate your way safely in the crypto industry.
Knowledge to me is paramount because with it,  you will know how to react in certain situations, which will really be helpful in your crypto journey.

(2) you must learn how to be patient: without patience it's nearly impossible to be successful in the crypto market, that is one of the virtue required in the craft.

(3) Do not see trading as a get rich quick scheme: mostly the set of people that falls into this particular trap is the newbie's, but after some series of losses, they will discover that it's not really what they thought it is.

(4) learn how to control your emotions: as simple as we mostly thought it is, it's one of the most difficult,  but it's very advicable that you trade with what you can afford to lose so that your emotions can be in check.

(5) plan your entry and exit point: most times this lack of planning cost us dearly, because failing to plan is like planning to fail.

(6) leaverage : before trading, know how to use your leaverage properly, almost all unprofitable traders is a victim of this, they uses too much high leaverage which can make you get liquidated easily.

(7) know how to manage your risk: in other to stay in the market for long, you have to know how to protect yourself ( your capital), protect it with all your might, pay more attention to this, because you might win five trades in a row and lose everything at once if you don't know how to manage your risk.

(Cool wait for the right setup: trade only when you are sure of the market, if you don't see the right setup don't trade, it's better your capital is intact than risking it when not sure. Even though it warrant you to trade once in a week, it's better than losing.
962  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin Journey in Nigeria, what Next on: January 04, 2024, 06:45:16 PM
What we have to do as Bitcoin enthusiastic is to throw more light about cryptocurrency to the people that are totally misinformed about it, because uptill now, there are people in the country that knows nothing about cryptocurrency, they still sees it as ponzi scheme, so we just have to educate them more and show them the benefits attached to it, and always try to convince them to do there own research.
Don't try to force it on anyone, so that you wouldn't be seen as a scammer.
963  Other / Politics & Society / Why it's very important to develop a thick skin on: January 04, 2024, 11:51:54 AM
In life you cannot please everyone, what Mr A might do in a certain situation is totally different for what Mr B will do, we as humans we just have to follow the right path and do the right thing.
It's very important that if you really want to succeed in life you must learn how to develop a thick skin, look at our leaders today, they go through all sort of criticism because there are certain policies that we doesn't agree too, but they still stand strong and keep on doing the work they were elected for.

Their are so many people out there that small criticism of how they are going wrong, they would want to run away, by resigning or quiting, but to be successful you need to understand that you cannot please everyone, and your decision making might be wrong which will definitely attracte criticism, but a man with thick skin will learn from it and move on instead of quitting.
964  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: HODL na purely a mental challenge on: January 04, 2024, 08:24:10 AM
As a holder sometimes you need to think out of the box and look at the challenges that will prevent you from holding Bitcoin till the appropriate time.
Just as what the op has said, taking small profit from your holding wouldn't give you the right results, another thing i also recommend is, to be a good holder, you must have a source of income so that you wouldn't be looking at your Bitcoin holdings anytime you go broke or you have to settle some basic needs like feeding or rent.
Concerning our choice of storage, the op is really spot on, in a centralized exchange your holding is always at risk, because it's not your key, it's also not your coin.
965  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Hand work and skill or well paid government employee on: January 04, 2024, 07:21:25 AM
Bro to tell you the truth, no body go see better work come go learn handwork, you know why, good paying jobs go make you live a better and easier life, the stress wey come with handwork too much compared to higher paying jobs, and besides you fit dy work for that higher paying jobs and still run your business wey be plus too you.
E dy really hard to see handwork person live large oo, but e dy very common for higher paying jobs workers.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / China ban people from using usdt on: January 03, 2024, 04:34:05 PM
China warns that using tether (usdt) as an intermediary in foreign exchange transaction is a violation of the law.
The supreme people's procuracy(spp) and state administration issued a public warning, emphasizing that the use of tether(usdt) as an intermediary tool in transaction between Renminbi and other foreign currencies are not suitable.
This includes indirect participation, such as technical support or provisions of exchange services.

968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Power Of Bitcoin on: January 02, 2024, 05:23:19 PM
At one point in time we all have our own time when we were skeptical about it, and we missed out on the early opportunity to acquire it more earlier, but we lost it, due to our distrust then, but we won't sit by and keep on crying, we just have to make every opportunity count, by buying BTC through the DCA method because we are still in the early days of the rise of Bitcoin.
969  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why some newbies dey quick lose interest for the forum?? on: January 02, 2024, 04:20:30 PM
My brothers and sisters for this kajad cabal I greet una and happy new year to all of us. I say make I table this matter for here and if say person don discuss this mata, my apologies as I no see any of such nature before I bring this one up.
Wetin make me dey ask this question nah say after observation, I discover how some newbies wey register here, after them don drop some posts and e happen say one of the posts receive backlash, you go see say gradually, that user go start to dey scarce for here  and before you know e go twy before you see them.
So I wan know from us, wetin we feel say be the reason wey dem dey lose interest like that? Abi nah say some no fit stand criticism or here too hard or wetin? Abeg make we discuss.

My brother you really dy on point,  to tell you the truth, na road I don pass before, criticism na something wey no be everyone dy take lightly, e get on post I post during the first week wey I open this account, my brother if to say mouth dy kill person, I for don die, initially I been wan respond back with anger but I come reason am say since true true I dy wrong make I leave am, but I no post again, I just lose interest in the forum entirely.
I come dy vex  say people go just dy tlk anyhow for post wey I crack my brain arrange, dem no even know wey I go through go create dat post, even wen I been dy school I no crack my brain like dat, but person go just rubbish am without even any consideration.
Of a truth, e take me like 3 or 4 weeks for me to post again, but after den I learn, and wetin even bring me back na the small additional knowledge I dy get from the forum. Secondly e dy very difficult to keep on posting wen you no dy grow for the forum, e go just dy do you as if you dy waste ur time, sometimes we wey be newbie dy post something wey deserve merit but we no dy get am, and you will be forced to ask yourself say make I first dance naked first before dem go know say this or dat post deserve merit?
To me the most discouraging is wen you even make the quality post, but dem no gree merit am, even wen you deserve am, but you go see post wey no better pass your own get merit.
970  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Which require more attention? on: January 01, 2024, 05:27:32 PM
Hmmm, you don talk well my brother, but to me oo, e dy very good make you  invest more on ur house for ur hustling area because even though  you build mansion for village, e no go get value like house way you build for city, and remember you fit still give am out as rent, dat one na another advantage, but to build mansion for village it's near impossible to see person wey go rent am according to it's value.
Me I prefer like 5 bedroom flat for village and my mansion for the city because if both of them na mansion, dem no go still get the same value.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to check if an altcoin is a scam on: January 01, 2024, 05:17:28 PM

Not all crypto projects are created equal, identifying which crypto token is a scam, and which memecoin is legit. How do you know which projects are safe to step into, and which projects are doomed to fall flat some months from now. The blockchain is awash with promises of quick money and easy rides. But it pays to know if the token you’re holding is part of an elaborate scam to separate you from your hard-earned cash. There are eight straightforward ways of carrying out your due diligence to avoid fraudsters

1. Start from the very basics by
a. Check for social media red flag
b.Check for the token’s address in a Google search

2. Check code is verified on Etherscan

3. Check the Etherscan comments section

4. Check the DappRadar blacklists

5. Check the token details in a token explorer
If you cannot find the token on CoinGecko or DappRadar’s Token Ranking (or a similar coin price tracker), the token is probably a scam. If it is on the token explorer and you see warning notifications like this, proceed with caution

6. Check how many exchanges host the token
If the token is only traded on a couple of decentralized exchanges (DEX), it is almost certainly a scam. Listing on a centralized exchange comes with KYC and additional trust, and the bigger the exchange the better the reputation of a listed token.

7. Check the amount of liquidity in a token’s balance pool
Before you invest in a token, you may want to check general demand and the availability of liquidity. It is very easy to check a token’s liquidity on a platform like Uniswap V2 or other decentralized exchanges.

8. Check third party analysis tools
Smell Test – this does an automated audit of the token. The lower its score out of 100, the more likely the token is a scam.

All your point you raise here are very valid, but for me what I mostly watched out for is if it's been listed on binance or bybit, if it's not been listed on any of it, I stay off that coin to avoid stories.
972  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: New year's Goals. on: January 01, 2024, 04:59:47 PM
First of all a goal without a plan on how to execute it is just a wish, we as humans we mostly fail in our goal because we fail to put in the work.
If as I am now I have a goal I really need to achieve, then I have to draw my plans and put them in writing, so that I can checkmate my performance monthly, weekly or daily how am working to make it comes to reality.

As for me this year my goal is to gain more financial stability and reconcile myself back with God, because his presence is all I need, and all I need is in his presence.
973  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Anytime na opportunity to invest for bitcoin on: January 01, 2024, 02:33:25 PM
Anybody wey don know what's up for how crypto market dy operate knows very well say no time is too late to buy Bitcoin, everytime is the best time for now, you know why? Because we still dy in the early stage of Bitcoin, time dy come wen Bitcoin go reach 100k dollars plus, dat time, people wey no buy am go start to dy regret am because e don dy too high.

See make I tell you, even though you dy buy am small small like 5k,6k or even 10k plus own weekly or monthly try do am , bcos e get why, people wey don dy inside this business for long wey don dy do am no dy craze, dem know wetin dem dy do.
My brother follow who know road, so dat you no go lost
974  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Every New Year's Eve in Bitcoin History on: December 31, 2023, 06:32:29 PM
Too me Bitcoin is a fine wine 🍷 that gets better with age, when you look at the chart again you can spot the declined in price at some of the beginning of the year, that shows that he also have his challenges, but due to what he is made off, he still rally his way up, I really do believe that it can get even more better, because he is a fine wine 🍷 that gets better with age.
975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 31, 2023, 04:45:15 PM
Back to back defeats for Arsenal (against West Ham and now Fulham), and that leaves them in 4th position as the year comes to an end, Arsenal are in a pretty sticky patch right now and they are winless in their last three EPL games, i know some people people might cry that it is a crisis, but i don't think it is, Arsenal are just 2 points off the summit, so for now nothing has changed as regards their title charge. The problem Arsenal has is that City are unstoppable when we get to the title run-in, City can go on long winning runs, and this is why i think both Liverpool and Arsenal won't win the title, but City will.

Yea , super unexpected defeats in a row for Arsenal because frankly , I had them to finish on 1st position before 2024 but it turned out very awful. I also had them to win EPL this season but after this 2 last games , I'm not so sure if they will be able to keep the fight until the end or they will find the necessary strength to start a winning streak because without a winning streak , it will be hard to catch Liverpool.

It's really a damaging defeat for their title aspirations, I never saw this particular lose coming unlike the westham game which I believe it can be won by either side.
They will surely be biting their teeth in regret now to lose to a Fulham side that have been out of form for quite a while now.
Just as you have already said, they just need like 10 match winning streak to put them back on track, which it's near impossible with this arsenal team that is too inconsistent.
976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin have behaved like a fine wine 🍷 on: December 31, 2023, 03:09:21 PM
Bitcoin is really a fine wine,🍷 because it gets better with age, since it creation, it has progress significantly into an asset that is worth having,  from the days when it's value was not even up to $100 to now that it's over $42000 plus, I just believe that after this next halving it will gets even better, and now is the best time to DCA into Bitcoin, because the reward will be worthy of the wait.

Right now, it's just a 14 years old teenager still trying to find it feet in terms of adoption all over the world.
But am really confidence that it will get even better from it value, popularity and adoption because it's a fine wine 🍷 that gets better with age.
977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and the Masses on: December 31, 2023, 09:58:46 AM
What I sense about people still having a cautious approach towards Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large is that, in some country around the world, they are not getting the right information about the Blockchain technology, most people still sees it as a ponzi scheme, and the one that have small knowledge about it have not even tried it, they will just conclude that if they put the money in it, they might lose it, without being aware of the advantages attached to it.
What we as Bitcoineers have to do is to spread knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large.

I just believe that if people are more enlightened about Bitcoin, their will be more adoption in the society.
978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I Too Broke To Own Bitcoin? on: December 30, 2023, 05:09:46 PM
Before investing into Bitcoin, you have to firstly have a source of income, because if you don't do that and depends sorely on the dividend on your Bitcoin investment, you will surely eat up your Bitcoin investment bit by bit till it's been exhausted.
So my brother you need a source of income first before thinking of investing in Bitcoin.
979  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The "Coalition of Terror" fell apart but US regime isn't giving up! on: December 30, 2023, 02:30:55 PM
It's no longer news that the united States is the brain behind all the conflicts and killings going on around the world, what they are actually doing now is they will refuse to address an issue that may result into conflicts, till when it has gone out of hand.
After that, they will start puring fuel into fire by sending weapons, instead of call for restrain.
980  Other / Archival / Re: Generational wealth on: December 30, 2023, 02:04:59 PM
What would be your advice for a pharmacist hoping to create generational wealth in the pharmaceutical industry
Building a generational wealth isn't a day job, but if you want to do so, you first of all let go of all distraction, focus on growing your pharmaceutical company, after doing that try and expand it, by opening branches, but note, you must put competence people in charge of affairs, in the day to day running of the company.

When all that is done properly, try your possible best to educating your children, by bringing them into the family business, let them know how things are been done in the company,  bring them in, let them follow the family way so that the family legacy will continue when you are gone. I hope this tips is helpful?
