Bangladesh team looked good from the start today and their bowling and batting performance was outstanding which led to win against New Zealand. PCB could threaten ICC to boycott these tailormade (Keyword) fixtures, not publicly because it'd be dumb and they have already done that countless times. Instead, they should go privately when everyone is at the high table conference and pitch it. This move requires backbone, some planning, and most importantly for once PCB officials must think about Pakistan cricket first and not look for a shortcut or personal gains.

That is the reason why Real Madrid usually looks better than Barcelona as well, they are more consistent. I mean look at them right now, they are at the chase for a first place and another title, look at Barcelona, they are doing much worse, last year Barcelona won this league, how come they became so bad after just a single summer? Real was second place last year, first this year, and first the year before last year, they are always around there and trying. Consistency is very important for a team, you may not win the league every single season, but you need to be trying to win it every year when you are that big, and they do, they never give up, Barcelona already gave up this years title chase, it's the inconsistency that is causing their trouble. I do think that money plays a big role, but not like they were super wealthy last season and yet they still won, so that means money can't be blamed all the time, they made bad transfers along the way. Real Madrid is the biggest team in the football world and they expect to win everything they can. Real Madrid is a team which wants to be at the top of the league every time. They are going to be wanting to be consistent in every department. But last season they fumbled due to a lack of good players and players losing form. Real Madrid got that self-confidence which always pushes them forward. I mean if you are a big team you are always expected to win and be consistent. Girona probably for the first time in their club history, they are doing this good in after 18 matches of season have played. Don't get me wrong but they are a small team compared to the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and others. What they have achieved this season so far is nothing less than impressive but they also need to be consistent. The problem with the small teams is that they struggle to be consistent and for Real Madrid that is not a problem. Barcelona is struggling really bad both financially and on the field as well. Nothing is going right for them and they won their last La Liga match barely against Almeria which is the lowest team in La Liga table. Lewandowski is out of touch, they have problems in forwards and defense. They need to fix these problems ASAP if they don’t want to be out of the top 4 at this moment. |

maybe now Juventus will return to its former glory, able to perform consistently with all the tactics and strategies used to secure victory in every match. however, I think this is indeed Juventus opportunity when they dont have a schedule for other competitions and I'm just curious if they manage to get tickets to the UCL, whether in the next season this team will be able to perform like it is now?
for me, the busy match schedule makes the players tired, on the one hand, Juventus only competes in series A without any pressure and this situation makes Juventus look very strong.

I hope that they could continue to do better and the results would be good for them, it's fun to watch them being good again. It actually feels good seeing that Juventus is returning to how it used to be and playing in the Uefa Champions League next season. But however, the season hasn't ended yet, so they better keep up the consistency. Juventus used to be the team that used to dominate the Serie A a few years back. They were like the Bayern Munich of the Bundesliga and PSG of Ligue 1. All of a sudden they had lost their touch and didn't play in the Uefa Champions League. This season they have made a return and are in 2nd place right now. But I don’t think they will be able to take the Serie A title though. Inter Milan are 4 points ahead of them and looks consistent. But the season isn’t over and I will be happy to see them Scudetto once more. |

LOL.. this is exactly what is going to happen. At the most, PCB can try for a hybrid model, similar to the one that was used for the Asia Cup. But then, only 3-4 matches will be hosted in Pakistan and the rest will be hosted by the neutral country (United Arab Emirates or Sri Lanka). And I don't think that a hybrid system benefits PCB or any other board by any means. PCB can bargain hard to get a fat paycheck from the ICC in the form of compensation. And at this point, this is the best thing they can do.
@Sithara007 the hybrid model turned out expensive for Pakistan if I remember correctly because there was a report which said that they had to pay a lot for the constant travelling. Further a compensation can be a good deal for them but it’ll also signal the end for any future ICC event which involves team India to be hosted there hence their best bet is to squeeze the maximum they can when ICC proposes the compensation idea. I think in the end a hybrid model is actually what is going to end up happening. Because I don't think ICC can actually afford to not let India play. They are bringing the bread home for the ICC so to speak. And if ICC doesn't favour the breadwinner of the house, it is definitely going to be a problem. The viewership is going to be low. Icc doesn't want that. Probably the solution is going to be making a hybrid model and not giving any Indian matches in Pakistan. That is probably going to be the solution. But I don't think Pakistan is going to be very happy about that. |
