Honestly, I think that FUN tokens as a prize in the rewards tab would be preferable for many users, even if the exchange rate was grossly overpriced.
It sounds a great idea! It would be very interesting if we could exchange FUN for physical electronics and other goods in general. Maybe it could even help increasing adoption a little bit... But overpriced rates are never good, and make the feature useless, anyway.

That is what I am wondering, why would they update it than right now; there must be some demand. On the other hand, marketing wise it is pretty smart as it will grab the attention of a lot of players. Who doesn't want to win an Iphone 15?
Couldn't it be updated in real time, as BTC price moves, just like faucet's rewards rates? 1 RP is equal to 1 satoshi, so it shouldn't be hard to configure rewards' spreadsheet to oscillate RP costs accordingly to market's fluctuations. Anyway, I think the platform isn't concerned about it, because the main reason why they offers such rewards in exchange of RPs is probably solely marketing to make users' eyes shine and dream about acquiring those fancy electronics someday, while in fact, they aren't really willing to deliver those goods for real... Otherwise, costs wouldn't be discouraging.
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alter Ego In Gambling on: January 06, 2024, 08:18:39 PM
How about you Are you gambling in a way that is very different from your true personality,
If you don't pay attention and get dragged by primitive emotions during a gambling session, you may end evoking your alter-ego without further notice. However, I don't believe alter-ego is a mirrored personality you have hidden inside yourself, rather I suppose it's just the irrationality and impulsivity taking control of your body, consequently decreasing your self-awareness state to an inferior level, so such opposite behaviors to your personality can manifest.

Alter-ego is not a secondary personality, but the absence of your conscious personality.

For that reason, every gamblers should be careful to not let their alter-egos show up, otherwise they can face considerable losses and spend beyond their initial budgets. I would be very concerned if a friend of mine, who uses to be very conservative, became highly prone to taking risks during a gambling gameplay. He must practice his self-awareness and self-regulation skills during moments of high pressure and tension to not repeat it futurely, for his own good.
963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: January 06, 2024, 07:37:55 PM
Take note and be aware that your way of gambling could affect your relationships and the circle of your relatives.
That is true, but I would like to focus on the reverse role, that is, the situation where a familiar is affecting you through his gambling disfunctional behavior. Let's say you are the victim of the story, the passive agent. Of course there is strong negative feelings of revolt and unacceptance for suffering the consequences for someone else's actions, mistakes and addictions, what is likely to keep growing inside, as the situation keeps repeating itself along the time.

You feel mixed feelings, as you love your familiar, but also hate him for acting irrationally and harming the whole family emotionally and financially. You would like he changed, and when you see it's definitely not going to happen, your anger increases and you feel hopeless, not only about this specific situation, rather about your life in general... That is something you have to avoid at all costs! It's very nasty and exhausting to deal with this, but when a familiar is screwing up your life, you have to move on, to stay away and to understand you are the only one responsible for your currently conditions and future, without expecting anything from your addicted familiar.

Then focus in personal plans and goals, draw your schedules and go for it. Forget about what is or were around. Those are things which are unlikely to change, it's out of your control. Don't let someone else's addiction mess your life, just it's messing his.
964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Use your winning responsibly on: January 06, 2024, 06:35:31 PM
I won 328,000 from Sportybet. It was a running game that finished 3 days ago and I decided to use the money wisely. I had a small television in my living room so I bought a Smart TV for 307,000  I am so happy seeing this in my living room.
It's a very nice achievement! Congratulations for your purchase! I'm sure it will make a huge difference in your routine, turning your living room into a much more confortable, presentable and desirable environment to be in. Now everytime you enter your living room you will feel proud of yourself for being able to make decent profit from your smart guesses on sports betting, besides being responsible and clever to manage the money in your favour, that is, to improve your life quality, instead of wasting the whole prize on more bets or on useless expenses.

It's glad to see gambling has been rewarding for you, even though we know only a minor percentage of total gamblers are able to make profit from the activity. That your example can be useful for other gamblers around to also quit after winning money from a bet and use the earned prize to upgrade their houses, invest money thinking on long term profits, pay debt made previously or to acquire goods they have been in need, but didn't have money to do so.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most logical and profitable game on: January 06, 2024, 04:42:51 AM
The only possible alternative would be to bet directly against another person at skills based games (PvP), without any platforms as middleman, neither house edges involved on the dispute. Strategy games perfectly fill this role, but the issue is that they aren't popular, so there aren't people betting on them in a frequent basis. Another cons is that the game player has to be the gambler at same time, making it even more difficult to happen in practice, as it demands from the gambler to be skilled on the game he is going to play, otherwise he won't win the bet, anyway.

Try to challenge others at games you know you are good at and put some money on the table. This way you don't have to rely on luck, rather it's your skills which will make the difference, what means it's totally possible to profit on long run.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles on: January 05, 2024, 11:44:38 PM
Gambling requires the person to be conscious of his acts in order to be practiced. While the gambler remains conscious, he will be able to continue gambling, despite an eventual advanced age. Personally, I think people on their elderly days are the ones who should enjoy gambling at the most, since they have already worked their entire lives to build their patrimony and source of income. Naturally, they have just to enjoy everything they conquered along the decades, so money shouldn't be a concern for them in the same proportion it is for a young adult who is starting his professional career just now, besides carrying all the burden of composing a family, feeding his children, buying a house, a car and so on.

When I was a child, I thought gambling was supposed to be practiced only by elders, because they were the people I saw gambling more frequently, what seems to be exactly the opposite we see nowadays, with so many young people interested in gambling. That must be due to the large spread of gambling through online vehicles in global scale.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble on Bitcoin ETF approval results? on: January 05, 2024, 09:39:48 PM
I have no desire to bet on ETF approval results, because it's an event playing with interests from big players of the financial world, plus the interests of the strongest nation's personal financial affairs, which is USA. You can analyze the scenario accurately, reading all the news, opinions from experts economists, having access to insider informations, but in the end, the final result is still under heavily possibility of manipulation. It's not the kind of game small fishes should take part in. Let the whales decide and do as they wish. For us it won't change anything... The important is that halving is near, and that should be the profit opportunity to be looked for.

It's like betting on a fixed match without knowing which side paid more to fix the match. You don't have real chances to win, because the results aren't based on logical and legit performance, rather they are based on agreements made on the backgrounds.

📱 Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max
📱 Samsung Galaxy S23+
🕹️ Meta Quest 3
...and an array of other fabulous options!

Interesting that new options keep getting added, but how popular are these? I just checked and the Apple Iphone pro is more than 4 million RP, which is roughly about 1750$, while in the official shop it is about 1500$ (for 1 TB). I think it is much better to just convert those RP to satoshis and earn some interest on it also.

Well, I personally doubt if there have ever been any user or player on FreeBitco who have ever earned enough RP to match the number or amount of RP required for the iPhone 15 Promax, it's just as you have said, better to just convert the RP to satoshis and possibly play the Hi-Lo game, sports betting or bet on price of cryptocurrencies, or maybe even convert them to Wheel of fortune and spin with it, and this is because think waiting for one to earn enough RP to buy the iPhone 15 Promax could take for ever, and tiring.

But all the same, I believe there are some really lucky players who must of earn enough, or even more than enough for the Promax, for me, I've been consistently playing for like 2 years and some months now, and I just have a little about one thousand RP, A very long way to go if I plan to earn enough for the Promax, or even the Samsung galaxy s23+  Grin.
In fact, if you exchange your RPs for the prizes you will be paying more expensive prices for the products than if you cashed out the RPs into satoshis, then converted into fiat and purchased at any national online shopping websites. I just checked the SAMSUNG GALAXY S23 ULTRA (256 GB), which costs 3,214,301 RPs or 0.03214301BTC, which is equal to R$6831,65 of my local currency. However, as I'm browsing the internet I've found the same smartphone between the price range of R$3998,70 and R$5870,05 at local websites, including Samsung official one.

Even if you had enough RPs to exchange for an electronic, it wouldn't worth. And I don't know how much the delivery fees would cost, but I think they must be salty as well, since it's an international package. So besides the sending costs, there is also importation, customs fees.
969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs in the Real World on: January 05, 2024, 07:17:57 PM
It's an example of NFT introduced to gaming industry, like I said earlier. In this category, I believe NFTs have a real impact and can be useful, although here it's just a marketing strategy to sell expensive physical toys. In every cases, I wouldn't invest anything on this project yet, because it's not entirely developed yet. We have already seen and even trusted many raw projects which didn't deliver anything consistent after all. Must be careful with this. To be alive and under development since 2021, the project is too backward.
It's not like crypto that people can invest in. it's just a normal business without any tokens/coins to list on exchanges that people can speculate on
How isn't it? NFTs are crypto too. They might not be added to exchanges lists, but it's still a crypto investment, as people who acquire those penguin's NFTs expect them to gain more value futurely, so they can sell their non fungible tokens for a superior price than they bought.

If the project doesn't go ahead, that is: if the game development stops or doesn't become popular and if they don't manage to sell their physical products, people who bought the idea will lose money, just like investors who picked the wrong altcoins to invest in the past. It's the same situation, full of risks involved.

Considering the prices of the toys (30$ each), I really don't believe someone would purchase it for the same reasons which would lead them to acquire other toys in general. The speculative factor is present all the time. They pay 30$ for this, plus delivery fees, but they want to sell the freebies NFTs for 200$ later, for an example...
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: January 05, 2024, 07:04:46 PM
I don't want to be rude but gambling will 1000% affect your relationship so better stay out of gamble when you have a family. I know this because my aunt had a similar problem with her husband around 20 years ago and I remember well how bad it was for her during that period because that guy was all about gambling and not just on casinos but also on street which can become very dangerous.
Maybe gambling affected the relationship between your aunt and uncle so much because he was addicted to gambling. If he was just a casual gambler betting loose cash solely on weekends it wouldn't have been a big issue inside their marriage. The problem starts when people neglect other activities and duties of their daily lives in order to gamble. Then the wife or husband will surely get made on their partners, because they will feel like all responsabilities are under their shoulders, while the other person is living irresponsibly a life of ephemeral egoistical pleasures.

Gambling has to remain as a secondary hobby activity in someone's schedules. It can't be the priority in anyways. The priority has to be the person's mental and physical health, integrity plus welfare in first place, then in second place the marriage and its commitments, only after hobbies, where gambling is included, take place. When the individual puts gambling above everything, of course there will be negative consequences for him/her, especially the total discontent of his/her partner and children.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you see a gambling review website that has its own gambling website? on: January 05, 2024, 02:26:32 AM
While I'm not certain if this is happening in the real world, it raises the question of whether you would trust a review website in such a case.
Indeed, there are high chances it's happening for real! When we look for reviews about casinos, first of all we have to make sure the author of such articles is independant from any platforms of the industry. If he is paid somehow to write the article or if he is a direct member of the platform he is reviewing, you shouldn't stick only to his article when drawing a conclusion about a website, rather keep looking for more reviews and compare one to another, so you will know which of them are biased.

However, don't completely disconsider a review written by the casino about itself, because even though they are biased, they may bring important and valuable points about the features offered by the platform. Instead of reading it as a review, write it aware it's a propaganda.

Next, you can ask to other gamblers if they know those features and what was their personal experience with them. This way you will have independant feedbacks which will endorse or not the "propaganda" you read.

The modified grass has so far been confirmed only in Jefferson and Malheur counties, where it escaped earlier field trials. But The Oregonian/OregonLive has learned that the altered grass has already been grown in the valley. Scotts confirmed that it conducted small-scale field tests in Gervais and Corvallis in the 2000s.

A new and improved grass

Genetic modification dates back to the 1970s and really took hold in agriculture in the 1990s and 2000s. The ability to alter a plant's genes offered the promise of species that are more productive, more resistant to disease, even immune to herbicides.

Today, more than 90 percent of U.S. soybeans, cotton and corn are genetically engineered.
GMO grass that 'escaped' defies eradication, divides grass seed industry

It astonishes me that a simple fact which should be well known by everyone, since it's directly related to what you ingest in your body, is seen as lunatic, delusional conspiracy theory, while conspiracy theories are absorbed without further critical thinking or questioning.

Grass, plants and crops in general have been genetically modified to become stronger against diseases and plagues, while increasing its fertility and productivity rates. If it wasn't for these modifications, there wouldn't be capacity to produce enough food to feed the overpopulated world, although personally, as side effect, I believe it directly interferes on the taste and texture of the final product.

Anyway, food in general is artificial nowadays and it seems we can't avoid it. That is the point. Carnivorous cultists aren't accessing the secret hidden intelligence and unsealing occult potentials of the human genes by sticking themselves to a meat diet. They are eating artificial food like everyone else.
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China ban people from using usdt on: January 04, 2024, 10:09:14 PM
Chinese government is trying to protect its own national interests while sacrificing their people's freedom in order to do that. Nothing new, considering the political regime of that country and its constant hostility towards decentralized crypto industry and enthusiasts.

Not that chinese dictators are against cryptocurrency, as they are actually very interested on the technology and were the pioneer country on the development of CBDCs. They are just against decentralization and will try with high effort to mould crypto into a more centralized and regulated industry, while making sure their interests are safe from foreigner threats. The fact Tether is forbidden, already gives us a hint what their objective is. To force their citizens to use chinese CBDC instead.

And how does he think animals he eat are fed nowadays? This foolish man is eating artificial meat from animals as well, since they are fatten up by artificial rations.
There's always option for grass-fed.
Even the grass isn't the same nowadays. It's different than it used to be in the times of our grandfathers and before. Moreover, hardly ever you will fatten cattle, chicken and pigs without rations, especially when breeding in large scale... Transgenic technology came to feed the massive growing population of the world. You can't expect to release some animals on the pasture and come back one year later to slaughter it in order to feed 7.888 billion people...

You can follow any cults and unrealistic concepts of life you wish, but you can't deny reality. If we only needed meat to survive, there wouldn't be a plethora of another categories of food available and disponible for us to ingest. We don't need only proteins (which meat is abundant in), but also carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, lipids. Each kind of food is rich in one of those nutrients, so why not taking advantage of all of them? For fad reasons? To look cool, eccentric, different from everyone else? Or to feel part of a group of idiots who don't even know who you are?

It's up to you do decide what to eat, how to live, and so on... However you should know the consequences of your actions and what your organism demands for proper functioning.
975  Economy / Economics / Re: How is it possible to say there is no money in the bank on: January 04, 2024, 07:28:35 PM
That is why I don't like holding large sums of fiat currency. Besides the constant devaluation through inflation, there is also the seizure risk. It has already happened in my country once in 90's, and it can surely happen futurely again as well, because politicians and governments aren't to be trusted. They tell you everything you want to hear during the polls, but once they reach in power, they do everything exactly the opposite they promised to do.

And if they have to sacrifice someone in the process, you can be assured it's going to be you, average citizen, who don't own any influence and power inside your local society. Meanwhile, they preserve the interests of the big players. For that reason, always you accumulate some considerable sum of money, invest it into assets, precious metals, jewelry, lands, real estate... Something you know it's going to maintain its value or increase it within time.

Fiat currencies are garbage, and their only important use for us is on short term to keep our daily life going on through paying expenses. Fiat currency has to be fluid in our hands, do not hold it for too long.

The implication of "fiat" is that modern money and modern foods are both artificial, and Bitcoin carnivorism supposedly solves this problem.
And how does he think animals he eat are fed nowadays? This foolish man is eating artificial meat from animals as well, since they are fatten up by artificial rations.

This is just another useless group composed by individuals who probably don't have anything better to do in life, so they start elaborating senseless theories of a glorious past (which in fact has never existed) where life was better, and that we should introduce the same old habits in our current reality.

It's so cringe like the politically correct vegan cult. they are two sides of the same coin. What we should have in mind is that balance is they key for a healthy and fruitful life: meat is good, vegetables are good, so we should link the benefits of both in our nutrition. Besides healthy, it's also going to be tasty and satisfactory. Regards finances, the same can be applied. Who does live only making use of Bitcoin? That is impossible! Maybe those cultist jerks do, but they are a minority living inside a wealthy bubble. It doesn't apply to the majority of us.

So, take advantage of Bitcoin, but also of fiat currency. You aren't in this world to serve money, so make money serve you accordingly to your needs!
977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 04, 2024, 06:42:54 PM
So I would like to know your own experience when making or taking risk in gambling under pressure.
Taking risks in gambling when under pressure is never a good idea, because you start acting irrationally, lead by impulses. Consequently, you get outside your initial planned budged to take risks you shouldn't. These risks end bringing losses you can't afford to lose. Losses you weren't expecting to face when you initiated your gambling session. In other words: the situation gets out of control and escalates really fast. Once you notice, the mess is already done.

So, avoid getting under pressure while gambling. When you see it's happening, just stop before it's too late. Nobody knows you better than yourself, therefore you are the one who must identify the symptoms anxiety and pressure are increasing deep inside, and once you spot it happening, in the beginning yet, you have to tell yourself it's time to give a break. Close the app or website, take some breath outside, drink a cup of water, talk to someone close to you, refresh your mind for a while... Don't give up to the temptation of continue playing when, rationally, you know you can't!

The pressure won't last forever. If you follow the procedure above you will see it diminishing slowly within time.

The price will definitely increase if SEC approves the ETF because new money will flow into the market and that will cause a significant boost in BTC price.
I also think a hypothetical approval of ETF by SEC would impact Bitcoin price positively on short term, although the recent news today bring very negative omens about the approval. They say it's not going to happen and that SEC is going to reject every submissions, because the industry still lack guarantees to investors, besides the number of scammers and bad actos being too high in crypto market recently. Could these so called analysts be bluffing? I think so, but their arguments make sense if we put ourselves on the regulators' shoes.

If ETFs proposals are rejected, they believe prices can drop to 36,000$-38,000$ once again... That is not too bad for the short run, and the scenario must be reverted anyway once it's halving time.

SEC will reject all bitcoin spot ETFs in January, says Matrixport analyst

I think it's the big players who are trying to manipulate the market for their benefits. Someone is trying to spread rumors and buy BTC at cheaper price.
We can see that the price of bitcoin is recovering slowly. I feel that the ETFs will be approved but that's just my guess.
Even if it's not approved then the price will still pump up sooner or later. If ETF does not becomes the catalyst then something else will.
At some point I also think ETFs will be approved, if not now, anytime soon... That is just a matter of time until it happens. People in charge of these funds will make sure to comply with all the necessary guarantees and demands from SEC, because it's also interesting for them to achieve the approval status towards the global investors' community, especially it being a hard achievement to fulfill. It will emphasize their funds as serious and legit ones.

Maybe there is some manipulation going on, as usual, but I can't disagree regulators are right when they fear the raised number of scammers involved on this industry, in charge of billionaire crypto projects. They can't easily permit these people to operate freely, putting more investors under risk of losing money, especially the newbie ones who will adopt Bitcoin only after SEC approves the ETFs.

Besides arts and gaming usage, I don't see too much utility for NFTs. Actually, even for arts it's worthless in my opinion. The only real usage for NFTs would be inside gaming industry. The concept of its implementation really made sense for me and I thought it was a great idea in theory, but in practice it didn't work as expected.
NO,That's not really true because i found something that they can bring real world item with NFT.
Check this out. https://pudgypenguins.com/
this is a toy for children, when you buy a toy you will get a pair of ntf.
there is a QR code on the toy which connect to NFT in pudgyworld
It seems to have been heavily inspired by the popular former online game Club Penguin, plus 'bored apes' NFT project fiasco.

"Pudgyworld" is pretty raw yet, but at least the game already exists, unlike other scammy NFT projects:

The concept of its implementation really made sense for me and I thought it was a great idea in theory, but in practice it didn't work as expected. NFTs have only worked for a while and due to hype. It was never about unique, original, practical and functional usecase and even if the hype resurges, it doesn't look like it's going to work for another reasons besides more temporary hype.

Every features NFTs offer to adopters can be achieved through another ways. They aren't necessary, neither accessible to the public.

Like a private club access.   Then there is timing certain real world asset ownership to them.  Proof of ownership will be conveyed with a corresponding nft.
Yes, that could be a real usecase, but why would people seal deals through NFTs, if they can already do it traditionally using physical papers and contracts? Maybe if it decreased the bureaucracy with notary's office in the process it would make sense to adopt NFTs for this reason. Anyway, clubs memberships are not that popular nowadays, especially among the younger generations which are more connected to crypto technology. So the impact must be almost null on the bigger picture.
