961  Economy / Speculation / Re: Take profits now! on: April 20, 2017, 11:34:30 PM
The momentum is dying out, its time for a profit taking if anyone wants to make 10-20% and buy back.

http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/btceUSD#rg180ztgSzbgBza1gWMAzm1g10za2gWMAzm2g25zxzi1gCCIzi2gMACDzv

The way things are going, there is more money in dumping/buying back than just HODLing.

I've sold some coin at the top already so I'm not that concerned right now. Worst situation for me is that bitcoin crashes to sub one thousand dollars and I lose some of the profits I made from buying at 700, that's all.

But it does seem like that the moon island is changing right now it is starting to move sideways instead of going up every day it is interesting that we have never broken $1,300 and stayed above that level it's interesting to see when that would happen actually.

If it does drop below 1000 and I'll be the first person to buy in lol
The highest peak I've seen in last few hours was $1281 on preev, pretty good. But on some biggest exchanges, it was quite different and Okcoin shown $1267, more than any other. My thoughts still the same, we won't break $1300 wall without block size upgrade at least we need 2Mb. Because at $1250++ level, people will start to cash out before it drop back again. So, we are on competition who takes the profits right now or hold for another chance.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QAU] QUANTUM PROJECT - Connecting markets on: April 20, 2017, 06:02:38 PM
2 people has invest 3+ btc without plan and ico address sent to email why not posted on website ?

We wanted to make the user experience as friendly as possible and didn't want people to have website registration and login process. This also eliminates the chances of hacked accounts.

Our emails are a very convenient way for everybody to simply use any bitcoin ATM to fund Quantum project. All people have to do is scan the QR code in the email when at the ATM machine.
Using email is a good decision and it's easier instead of have to going through website registration which have to confirm from email account too. This also eliminates the chances of hacked accounts. consider how someone protect his email and security feature of this platform > so yes, I agree.  Moreover, devs team already have an escrow by @BelTirid (Gašper Kenda) (CEO of Xaurum project), so we're looking forward for further information and development of this project.
963  Other / Off-topic / Re: Smartphones are vital to bitcoin growth on: April 19, 2017, 11:56:24 PM
More and more people are using smartphones thanks to budget friendly mid-rangers, almost anyone can now afford to buy a smartphone.

Mobile payment is becoming more common and it is an opportunity to acquaint people more into using bitcoin . Mobile payment will eventually replace credit cards or at least will make them less mainstream. An example  of this is Apple Pay. Bitcoin smartphone wallet  apps are to use when you have a transaction, you just scan a qr code and the transaction is done though will take some time to be confirmed.

Bitcoin wallet on smartphone make users to do some transactions easier without need to access wallet from a personal computer.
There are some bitcoin wallets for smartphone and I use one too for daily transaction and these platform contribute for bitcoin expansion.
But, spending bitcoin from smartphone cannot compare to others platform such as Apple Pay which doesn't need to pay fee transaction and wait for some time to be confirmed, it has different path for now as long as we have block size issue.
964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SAUDI Bitcoin Trading on LocalBitcoins TO THE MOON on: April 19, 2017, 11:37:00 PM
Bitcoin trading volumes in Saudi Arabia via peer-to-peer trading platform LocalBitcoins have never been higher. For the first time, trading volumes topped USD $100k in bitcoin traded over a week through the decentralized platform. According to data from Coin.Dance, trading volumes last week soared nearly 3x compared to the previous week, with over SAR400,000 in bitcoin traded during the week ending on April 15, a new all-time high.

More details below:

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/saudi-bitcoin-localbitcoins-all-time-high/

Do you agree that Bitcoin will become popular in the Middle East soon?

This might be bigger expand for bitcoin community as we know how rich people in Dubai and UAE if they start to learn and adopt bitcoin.
If other countries were adopted bitcoin since early 2010-2012 and already regulated their exchanges, UAE may do the same thing, they are smart investors of course as : "Earlier this month, the Dubai government signed a MoU with a blockchain technology firm to implement a citywide blockchain payments system that will encompass 38 government-partnering entities, financial institutions and departments. The emirate’s blockchain agenda is led by its ‘Dubai Blockchain Strategy’ initiative. Launched last year, the endeavor began with the significant announcement to transfer and maintain all government records on a blockchain by the year 2020. Dubai’s government has also partnered IBM to explore a blockchain trade finance platform to strengthen its position as a major trading hub in the world. Let's see how it is going in the next month/year.
965  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: April 18, 2017, 11:56:20 PM
Honestly paypal right now is not the same as before that its too annoying but right now you can make paypal as fast here in my country using local vcc just deposit a small amount either $1 or $2  for verification purposes and in that day it can verified your account..
Unlike before that it takes weeks  and it needs kyc verified or need bank account before you can be paypal verfied..
I hope that they will not change.. here in my country we can connect our paypal to 3rd party to connect in our bitcoin wallet so for withdrawal paypal we can receive it in small rate in bitcoin..
We have a good advantage right now here in my country unlike before.. its to hard to have those account before.
depends on the purpose, to send or receive money for free, I will use PayPal. To saving my wealth and investment, bitcoin is better option.
create PayPal account without credit/debit card verified and use local vcc to make customer easier to get an account, I've try to connect bitcoin wallet for withdrawal through Paypal, it maybe good information to try for.
966  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will get half million dollars prices by 2030 : Blockchain.info CEO on: April 18, 2017, 11:29:00 PM
I believe everyone will love this speculation. Read on this here : https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-price-hit-500000-2030-says-snapchats-first-investor

They are not just throwing blind balls but come with solid evidences to support their speculation.

Usually both positive and negative speculations will occur quicker than expected. We may speculate price levels some what accurately but not the time frame. So, time of 2030 may  shrink to 2025 too, what you think ?
Positive speculation such splash of water in the desert, moreover it comes with some reasonable factors. "The bitcoin user network will grow 61 times through 2030. A population of bitcoin users comprising 5% of the world’s population in 2030 will drive the price to $500,000 in 2030". Just 5% of world population will lead bitcoin reach that price, incredible.
But I don't think it will gonna happen : "Another obstacle is the hard fork, which could cause a split into two bitcoins, regular bitcoin and Bitcoin Unlimited.", as long as we have bigger block size even though 2Mb will make big different, without need to hard fork bitcoin (it is a disaster).
967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex- bank blocked all their deposits on: April 18, 2017, 10:22:44 PM
Beginning 18th April, all incoming wires to Bitfinex will be blocked and refused by their Taiwan banks. This applies to all fiat currencies at the present time.

That means Bitfinex doesn't have bank accounts anymore. It seams their accounts are closed.

What's next? Take your money/funds out from Bitfinex as soon as possible. Smiley

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/op-ed-bitcoin-exchange-bitfinex-trouble/

http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-traders-raise-concerns-largest-us-dollar-exchange-halts-deposits/

Didn't bitfinex screw up last august and made the price crash badly? Then they came up with those ridiculous BFX tokens, and now this? Those guys should have closed business. I can't believe why people still trust their money with those guys.
This news may cause another massive withdrawal from whom has bitcoin on Bitfinex, but right now Bitfinex has highest exchange rate ($1265) while other exchanges stay around $1199-$1216, no one could taking this free money as their halt withdrawal maybe. I've never use Bitfinex exchange as their security breached last year which mostly people should aware of it.
968  Economy / Economics / Re: where should i invest my 0.5 btc ? on: April 18, 2017, 06:09:41 AM
You should invest 0.25 btc in different altcoins who has potential to rise in upcoming days and rest 0.25 btc simply hold in your wallet so even if your trade goes wrong you still have 0.25 btc as a back up that can be helpful to you in future and you can recover your loss by selling them when price goes higher.
Holding bitcoin will works for long term and huge amount of bitcoin to get decent profits.
So, if you want to make an investment, the first thing you should aware is it is risky and do not invest more than you can afford to lose.
Trading altcoins provide better chance to make profit, but I suggest to watch over the coins charts and wait the lower price to buy or else buy now if you think it will rise soon. Some potential coins such as ethereum, dash and zcash may rise soon and wait for byteball drop back a bit to invest on it.
Another faster way to doubled your bitcoin is invest on gambling, whether on gambling sites as bankroll or invest on a trusted person.
You can check https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1585408.0 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1824282.0
Take a look and learn about them, before decide to invest, do your own task.
969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: small fee makes transactions faster on: April 18, 2017, 04:43:58 AM
why bitcoin transfer fee when most people give it in large quantities, but it will slow down the transaction itself, rather than using a bitcoin transfer fee sathosi 1000 it could be?

What is your opinion with bitcoin transfer with a large fee?

Apart from the fact that your sentences are almost unreadable.

The higher the bitcoin fees, the higher the chance of it getting confirmed in the shortest period of time

Transaction relay among nodes is a different factor from getting a transaction mined in a block.

not to increase the fee it will only burden the block in transporting transaction for a fee greater then the amount of the transaction size is also large, which should be with a small fee each block that could bring the 2000 transaction, but because of the number of fee-large will reduce the number of people who will carry out the transaction / uncofirmed

Transaction fee and confirmed tx are clear matter. Your opinion only works if all of the people who sending bitcoin agreed to use small amount of fee, but it won't be happen as people want their transaction get confirmed as fast as possible.
Yes, small byte fee may not burden the block but a fee calculate based on total size of a transaction, miner will choose to process some transaction which has bigger fees obviously.

971  Economy / Economics / Re: I hate Cryptocurrency on: April 18, 2017, 03:19:26 AM
Well, I like the blockchain technology... but I have some major problems with it.

Instead of being regulated and utilized so it's a useful technology it's just become a giant faux-economy.

Exchanges, news, prices, altcoins. It never seems to end. Every coin is just feeding into bitcoin for profit. It wouldn't be so bad if there were limited hours for trading but of course because of how the blockchain works it is a 24/7 economy.

Everyone is just trying to one-up the next person by manipulating numbers to their advantage. Sure, that's a lot like the stock market but at the end of the day cryptocurrencies never produce anything other than more coins. Companies produce products and services.

Most every coin uses underhanded trolling tactics like hype accounts, insider bribes, and worse. There's nothing redeemable about the vast majority of this space.

I know there will be mostly defenders of the stupidity but god-damn it is truly ridiculous.
I know what you mean, but that's the nature cycle of cryptocurrencies. Speculation and manipulation about a coins being created everyday in order to get more adopters and profits. Bitcoin as the first cryptocurrrency is the best/main of digital currency, so people want to trade their altcoins into bitcoin and vice versa, but in the end convert it back into bitcoin, this process always repeated.

Do you know what trading mean? Some people get profits while others get loss, yes, its about time matter. Who buy and sell their coins at the right time, they are get benefit and others don't. That maybe seems ridiculous for you, but people have to deal with it, known as risk.
972  Economy / Speculation / Re: People selling alts to go back in BTC on: April 12, 2017, 06:26:51 PM
Looks like the bottom was 8XX, now that the hard fork fears are going down and bitcoin unlimited is pretty much dead beyond any reasonable expectative, I can see more and more people jumping back in the Bitcoin train. Looks like ETH already peaked and BTC bottomed.
Another rise and fall in cryptocurrencies trading, it's normal cycle how the market suddenly change everyday. We love when bitcoin price increase but is it good decision to cash out or waiting for higher price, or else hold it until $2000.
When a good altcoin with low price but seems has potential to grow up, that is the right time to buy and for some coins it's already over when people sold and buy bitcoin. However, no need to panic because the cycle will be repeated again.
973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Set to Legalize Bitcoin by 2018, Track Every Transaction on: April 11, 2017, 11:59:43 PM
Only a year ago Russia’s Finance Ministry was threatening jail time to anyone using digital currencies.

In a major U-turn, it’s now edging closer to their acceptance as a legitimate financial instrument to open a new line of attack on money laundering.

The authorities hope to recognize bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in 2018 as they seek to enforce rules against illegal transfers, Deputy Finance Minister Alexey Moiseev said in an interview. The central bank is developing a joint position together with the government on digital currencies, according to its press service.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-04-10/russia-caves-in-on-bitcoin-to-open-new-front-on-money-laundering

I'm not sure If I should be happy or sad since they are planning to Legalize bitcoin but in the same time, tracking transactions. I'm not entirely sure on how they plan to do it though and how It could be possible unless they are planning to run their own exchanges. I believe that Russians will need TumbleBit whenever this will happen.
Indeed, it's nearly impossible to track evey bitcoin transaction as blockchain has different way with bank system. That's one reason why many users interested on bitcoin. The rules maybe same with other countries to regulate every exchanges due to bitcoin and fiat transaction (buy and sell) take place in there, but they can't track a transaction between two bitcoiners without exchanges and bank service.
974  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Start an Exchange - Not including Real Currency on: April 10, 2017, 07:09:27 PM
I really appreciate your efforts, but where your basis operation, is it in USA? Or India?
I don't have enough information about it, but maybe it will give a small piece : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_currency_law_in_the_United_States
But, it may easier to run and develop your exchange as real money doesn't involved, regulations about cryptocurrency exchange maybe different in USA and India. An exchange just for trading purpose y? I like your idea, maybe it doesn't have any restric regulations regarding only cryptocurrencies exchange. Good luck.

Hi campaign owner. I was just wondering if you could explain why I was not accepted. I was wearing signature and everything.
I will refrain from answer your question further, just once.
It simply because you don't know what the campaign manager wants.
You do not meet the requirements, your mistakes :
- post bursting (some posts within 10 minutes)
- activity and current post count has the same numbers.
- one-two liner posts
976  Economy / Economics / Re: The best time to invest. on: April 06, 2017, 02:17:15 PM

Some day in the future, you will realize that the best time to invest was not today, but some other day in the future, when prices were low. But with the information that you have today, the best time to invest is still today, because you do not know when prices will be low, and you do know that the longer you hold your investment, the more time it has to grow.

Toughts?

this is a great quote, i am heavily invested myself and do believe that bitcoin will one day rule the world, make banks obsolete and be a borderless worldwide currency.
Who knows? We can't except look at the charts, news and market activities than guess the right time to purchase at lower price but never be the lowest (that time was over). I believe $850 last month was and will be good price to invest as $1300 was the highest peak in general. So, as long as the price below $1200, still good price to buy bitcoin or wait for uncertain time when it will fall down under $1000.
977  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see $1300 again? on: April 06, 2017, 12:32:58 PM
In a few weeks perhaps.

It seems to go up steadily right now, not very rapidly, but steadily.

$1300 is not very much higher than what we are at now, so it's certainly a possibility.

No, it won't anytime soon. Bitcoin price has mark $1300 as the higher point, we won't see it as long as this block problem not resolved yet. Because every time bitcoin price increases followed by unconfirmed transaction increase as well, very annoying wait for a transaction to be confirmed but we have to pay higher fee too. I guess, we can't surpass $1300 until the block size limit upgraded.

979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling sites should ask proofs ? on: April 06, 2017, 08:03:56 AM
While I don't appreciate the fact that they ask proof but that been said if they ask proofs and run in a more legit way then that's actually good for users as less scams would hapen.
How will less scams happen when gambling sites ask for proofs from the customers?

It should be the other way around. Gambling sites should mention where their companies are registered and provide the reference numbers for that. They should show who runs the show so things are more transparent for the gamblers.
I think so, as too many gambling sites which ended or running a scam project, they are who have provide enough information and proof. Usually, as time goes on, people will know which site is a good one or at least devs team are trusted.
Players can't deceive a casinos as they rule/own the system, in mostly case players gullible by the site. Different story if those casinos are running on real world (not only online basis).
980  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Not sure whats going on here? on: March 28, 2017, 04:42:41 PM
Your wallet is trying to spend from an already spent output for some reason. This is usually a bug in your wallet software. You really should stop using blockchain.info.
Blockchain.info wallet has some disadvantages, recently > my friend wallet got hacked (don't know how)
what kind of wallet do you use for daily transaction, any suggestion?
