961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who use Litecoin for gambling here? on: July 21, 2017, 11:05:18 AM
Who use Litecoin for gambling here?

What amount of bet you prefer? (min/max LTC)

Not much people gamble using LTC or any other altcoins as it is really not that popular.
People prefer to use BTC since it is the easiest one to acquire and is readily available.
If someone wants to gamble using LTC, then they have to buy BTC then convert to LTC.
That is much more complicated than just using BTC instead.
You no need to convert your bitcoins to other altcoins in exchanging sites. Now all casinos allow people to convert their bitcoins to other altcoins. They will take some fee but it is to convert your BTC to ALT., and now all casino started to allow altcoins to play gambling, so all BTC gamblers shifted to ALT gambling.

Then I still need to convert, don't I? You said it yourself. I will convert my btc to LTC or any other altcoin. The problem is that when you do this usually, the conversion rate is pretty bad and you will lose a percentage of your initial deposit in terms of fiat. The problem really lies with there is no easy way of buying LTC directly with fiat.

Great to see this site is still here even after those bumpy first few weeks they had.
Also, nice to see that they are continually improving their site, keep it up and maybe one day this could rival all the leading gambling sites right now. Good luck!

964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has gambling affected your life in a good way? on: July 21, 2017, 09:43:20 AM
Nothing has changed except the amount of money lost from gambling. My friend has been actively gambling for 1 year. He lost property even to the debt. Early indeed he earned a lot of money but gradually he only losers and owed to many people

Of course nothing really good will come out of gambling if you try to think it is a way of profiting.
Gambling is not for profit but more of just for fun for the gamblers.
You really have to enjoy gambling to be something good. Though it is hard to really understand that.
Most people play for profit, and that is usually the problem.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC Gambling? on: July 21, 2017, 08:18:09 AM
I believe in new future gambling sites are going to support to gamble even with lesser than one satoshi. There are lot of speculations about bitcoin prices reaching to some unimaginable levels in millions hence to support gamblers with possible minimum I guess gambling sites may go for diving one satoshi into centi and then milli so that they can keep the same level of USD equivalent minimum betting for gambling.
The biggest advantage of crypto based gambling must be enabling us to gamble even with the value lesser than one USD cent. But the recent price up surge of bitcoin is making this capability of crypto gambling practically impossible  but I believe we can switch over to other altcoins so that we can still enjoy gambling with least possible amount of money.

Exchanges are having the practice of switching over to litecoin denominated trading when bitcoin denominated trading reaches no buyer even for 1 satoshi. Same thing could be followed for gambling. That's all.

Wait for August 1 and we won't have to use altcoins in order to make low value deposits Smiley

How sure are you that it would happen? You seems so sure about your statement.

There is no guarantee about your implication of a fork that would happen on august 1. Also, why would we be able to make low value deposits by that time, in case there would be a fork?
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much money will the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight make? on: July 20, 2017, 08:01:25 PM
I think the whole fight will generate $1,000,000,000 (1 billion) in revenue just for the fighters themselves.
This fight has been hyped even more than the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight and they have taken it global now!
In the Pac vs May fight, they didn't have this much presscons. It was much simpler than this.
Right now it's like a show already just watching the prefight face offs. This really results in a lot of hypte.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Your Gambling Site(s) SegWit Ready? on: July 20, 2017, 07:50:28 PM
If the network will not split and we just have a soft fork then there is really no problem anywhere. Life goes on and we just have an upgraded bitcoin software.
But if there would be a hard fork where there would be more than one blockchain then the problems will arise. Everyone holding bitcoins for their users are questioned if they will be giving out all the coins in both chains.
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: my new sport diary with bitcoin bets to double a 1 BTC bank on: July 20, 2017, 07:28:14 PM
You almost had it! You were at 1.93 btc man!

Good luck on your next bets, hope when you reach your goal you share all the bets so that people can verify your bet.

Maybe one day you could also be a pro capper and share your picks!
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker using bitcoin to cash in? on: July 20, 2017, 05:10:30 PM
There are plenty of them, There used to be SWC (SealwithClubs) but it's offline now, however there are:

* NitrogenSports.eu Poker room
* Bitcoin.ag poker room

Seen few fiat poker rooms accepting it as well, some even posting in this forum gambling section.

Did you checked recently SWC is back online from long time ago. This is my favorite poker place and I use it frequently because it has a lot of players online always. Nitrogensports also have nice poker rooms there with attractive promos.

I would also go with nitrogensports here. It is very trusted and worth your time if you want to play online poker.

Just be wary, that there have been plenty of issues with online poker everywhere that people cheats the system by having multiple accounts in one game.
970  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 0.02 BTC Every 10 minutes (Youtube Giveaway) on: July 20, 2017, 02:28:43 PM
This is fake as it gets. There is no way anyone can give that much money out unless they are earning that much too. I don't think they can earn that much from ads alone or even through their affiliate links to online gambling sites.

Someone please follow the transactions and see the foolery they are doing here.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has gambling affected your life in a good way? on: July 20, 2017, 02:12:47 PM
I think the only good thing gambling has to offer is entertainment and nothing more. Because gambling has no assurance wether you gonna win or lose. If you lose you will bad and that is not goood. Meanwhile if you win you will feel better thus with no assurance there will be no good.

Yeah you will feel good only when you will win and the chances of winning are very rare in gambling as majority of times results will not be in our favor and its only house and casino owners who will make money from it so gamble only with that amount that you can afford to loose.

No matter what we do there are really instances that we have a bad day in gambling, we can felt good when we win ,so as much as possible make it a worthy one, I mean when we win treat yourself a little since it will not happen everyday.
I guess it ia not only to treat ourselves in the money we won many things in real life  that gambling teach us if we only appreciate it. Since gambling is a high risk and addictable games we must learn and adjust ourselves for good decision that one of a good effect of gambling

Well the only thing that gambling can affect us in a good way in life is winning. Since there is really nothing more here but getting money. Either that or go with intangible things like learning the value of money, not to waste money, do not gamble money you cannot afford to lose, yada yada yada. Basically, the best impact gambling can do is just plainly getting winnings.
972  Economy / Gambling / Re: Wild West Poker Club on: July 20, 2017, 07:51:17 AM
You say that

"no player will be banned"
"no chips will be confiscated"

That's pretty bold of you to say. You really have to stick to that rule, if you impose that.
What if someone cheats the system or is just an overall asshole?
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will OJ Simpson be paroled this Thursday? - BET ON THE OUTCOME! on: July 19, 2017, 11:56:02 PM
What a world. O.J. Simpson, who went to jail for kidnapping and robbery and not for killing two people, has his parole hearing on Thursday, which you can watch live on ESPN, tomorrow at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (01:00 PM Eastern Time).

As with any big event that takes place these days, you can make some money if you'd like to place a wager on the outcome. Offshore betting websites are offering odds on whether  O.J. will become a free man this week. According to the people betting there, the odds are in his favor. But of course, many people will disagree.

So, for those of you who are strongly convicted he will be denied parole, why not try and make some money off of it?

On the other hand, it is entirely possible he will be granted parole, considering he's already served 9 years, which is quite a bit considering the severity of the crime he was convicted of and apparently he's been a very well-behaved prisoner while serving his sentence. Of course, legally, the parole board should treat him as not guilty of the 2 murders, but nobody can know what will be going through their minds tomorrow.

The amount of money you can earn depends entirely on how much money will be placed on each outcome.
For example, if a total of 2 BTC is placed on Yes (doesn't matter if it came from 2 people or 50) and let's say only you bet on No, you will get 2 BTC no matter what amount of BTC you bet. If there's a total of 2 BTC placed on Yes and 0.2 BTC placed on No and you bet 0.1  and you win, you will get 50% of the share which would be 1 BTC in this case. Of course, this example is unrealistic but hopefully that explains it.

If you're interested in betting on the outcome you can place a bet with Bitcoin right here:
https://www.betmoose.com/bet/will-oj-simpson-be-paroled-this-thursday-3252

Edit: If you're reluctant to place the first bet, don't worry, if no one else places any bets and you lose, you will get your money back because there is no one to be payed out.

So you're telling me no matter how much I bet and I am the only person that bet on the event, I would get the whole winnings of the other side? That basically the most stupid game I've heard. Then there is no incentive to bet higher. If you bet higher you just get high percentage of the other side in case you win. What happen to good ol' grading of odds eh?
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: affiliates as players on: July 19, 2017, 11:46:17 PM
If I play at a site where I am affiliated with, then I use of course the affiliate commission. Why would I deposit money, if I already have a balance there? If you play for more than your commissions, then you need of course to deposit as well.

No shit sherlock? Pretty obvious what you stated, no need to discuss that. Of course you will have money if you get people to play under your affiliate link. And of course you will have no money to play with if you don't get affiliate commission. And, finally, of course you need to deposit if you want to play if you don''t have affiliate commissions. :/
975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MoneyPot & Investors on: July 19, 2017, 11:37:51 PM
Moneypot is surely a mysterious site even i have invested some bitcoins on it and after 5 months i still see I'm in loss which i didn't understand why as in past after 4 months my investment was a guarantee profit but now in moneypot it seemed impossible. It's better if you don't invest in moneypot as they make lot of profits but never really share with us

What you say is one of the worse thing you can assume in any investment. There is no such thing as "guaranteed profits" that would be stupid. There is always a risk involved in every investment. Which means there is a chance you could lose money or earn some. The higher the risk, the higher the chances of profiting. Nothing guaranteed.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: July 19, 2017, 11:28:38 PM
Hi guys!
We all know that gambling is not only a fun but also potential danger. So are you limiting yourself somehow when gambling? DO you use casino's instruments to prevent you spending more money?
Or do you just limit yourself by setting a certain amount of money to spend? Or you don't limit yourself at all?
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers,
Yours OshiHugo, Oshi.io CM
My strategy is simple I only deposit in the casino the amount I’m willing to lose for that day, If I lose then I will stop gambling, if at the end of the session there is still money there then I’m going to use that, and only that, the next time I want to gamble.

That's the best strategy, that is also what I do. So that I don't over spend in gambling I also just set a limit of something like 10mbtc to play with in any casino.
Sometimes people get bankrupt because they don't set limits to their gambling habits and that results to huge losses because they chase their losses.
977  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Get Ready for Possible Split and USE Bitcoin Core Vault service! on: July 19, 2017, 05:01:26 PM

Yeah no one needs it. And if anyone needs this kind of service for sure they won't come to you. Instead of offering this shady service, why not just teach people how to do it themselves. It's actually not hard. People just have to store their bitcoins in an address which they have control over its private key.

Oh from that argument, if we store coins with you then that would mean we don't have control over our private keys. Shocker...

why not, but the fact is everyone know how to use core wallet but downloading the Bitcoin bootstrap which is around 100GB+ i guess on their computer is not really possible for every individual..

Found a video tut --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9ziT7d4Q-s

From your OP, you already highlighted Electrum. Which by the way does not even need to download the whole blockchain. So what's the incentive now of depositing to your vault?

Again, what guarantees that you will not run away with the coins? Or, you give back the bitcoins and keep the other coin, in case of a hard fork? What, the spreadsheet again?
978  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Get Ready for Possible Split and USE Bitcoin Core Vault service! on: July 19, 2017, 09:42:16 AM
Why would anyone even deposit a single satoshi with you? Who are you? Can you be trusted? I don't think so.

You are asking people to trust you with their bitcoins just because you write it down on a spreadsheet? Totally trust worthy, here take all my bitcoins...

i am offering my wallet because it's always running and people who doesn't have it can use it. It's an option i am providing, i don't want all your Bitcoins so  i sent your Bitcoins back to you, please keep them with you safely if you can.

Well we cannot trust you for just seeing this kind of service since their are several wallets where we can trust to hold our balance on theirs electrum and other wallets who have private keys as suggested and why on earth we would trust for unknown site? I'm not against on your business but you need to prove your trust score here like what other wallet providers to since their are so many scam on this furom and where vigilant on new one like this.

I totally understand. Well i just wanted to share my wallet space with others who couldn't run Core wallet. If no one trust or don't need my service, it's totally their choice. I also suggest to run Core wallet on their personal computer to store their bitcoins (encrypt and backup) until the war get's to an end.

That's a really an idiotic forecast to be honest. We're even lucky to get to $10,000 by that time. For sure we won't see $500,000 levels in the near future. Heck, we might not even see that ever. That's too high to even be a number for bitcoins. Think about 1 satoshi would be worth 0.005$ and a transaction fee of 0.0001 would be worth $50! How the hell will people send a simple transaction by that time?
