961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you hide your identity with bitcoin? (100%) on: July 06, 2020, 04:50:47 PM
No. Today, unfortunately, there are many ways to find traces and get to your identity.
There's some ways to trace people identity with bitcoin but theres absolutely some ways to hide one's identity with bitcoin through the use bitcoin tumbler site (which i can recommend only chipmix), the use of coinjoin wallet (samurai or wasabi wallet) and using Tor browser/VPN  which will make impossible for anyone to trace your identity if managed properly.
962  Economy / Economics / Re: How Corona Virus changes our markets (with picture and charts) on: July 05, 2020, 10:57:41 PM
Because if there will be no vaccine hope by October when economies will officially starting to enter recessions then we will see a huge panic among people. That panic will cause contraction of consumption and that is the worse thing we need.
Don't expect mass production of the vaccine anytime soon. Most of them are still in trial stages currently and they would have to pass through a couple more stages for mass production.

(crypto currency) is the best option to transform/save the economy now not the printing of more cash. Still, the decision is up to the government either for them to welcome crypto with open arms or keep spread FUD about it.
Seriously? The pandemic has been screwing the world since the beginning of this year and the governments which stood against BTC and crypto haven't changed their stance for obvious reasons.

Why do you even expect them to change their stance when adopting crypto doesn't work in their favor?
I said that because something is more important than what we wanted some time and what we have to do is leave aside the difference, the economy is at stake and it better for them to go for a perfect answer which will secure the most important aspect than thinking of crypto adoption not working in their favor.
963  Economy / Economics / Re: How Corona Virus changes our markets (with picture and charts) on: July 05, 2020, 02:07:34 PM
People are in fear, they are afraid that pandemic might come even worse in fall and winter. Economies are suffering all around the world and it will take some time for recovery. And recovery will not be fast and efficient if economies and our societied don't transform toward digital. I mean we already are in digital age but some processes need to be faster and people's mindsets have to change. Otherwise we will not survive.

It definitely will come worse in fall and winter. I dont see any positivism on any market before vaccine will be made. Currently all markets are in a bull trap. I am positive that vaccine will not be mass available by October, but I really hope there will be at least some news about it by then. Because if there will be no vaccine hope by October when economies will officially starting to enter recessions then we will see a huge panic among people. Tat panic will cause contraction of consumption and that is the worse thing we need.
The situation of the pandemic is expected to be worse if no vaccine is detected and the previous medications (hydroxychloroquine, lopinavir and ritonavir) was discontinues by WHO but i believe the mass production of vaccine is possible once one is detect and as @bitbunnny digital (crypto currency) is the best option to transform/save the economy now not the printing of more cash. Still, the decision is up to the government either for them to welcome crypto with open arms or keep spread FUD about it.
964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I sent usdt to btc address. Can anyone help? on: July 05, 2020, 01:28:38 PM
.....and the last chance the OP have is for him to provide us the transaction ID so we can know if the transaction is yet to be confirmed.
There are two ways to cancel an unconfirmed transaction.
1. Replacing the unconfirmed transaction with a new one in the case RBF has been enabled. (RBF must be enabled when making the original transaction.)
2. Double spending with a higher fee. (It's very unlikely to succeed.)

Since the transaction has been made from binance, the OP has no control over the transaction. So, even if the transaction is still unconfirmed, cannot do anything.
Yes the OP have no control over the transaction but there are some crypto exchange site that offer deposit/transaction recovery which user OcTradism have quoted above. However, there's still some chance that the OP can still get his USDT and what he need to do is provide the tx ID if the transaction is confirmed what he have to do is contact the Cash app customer support for help if the offer deposit recovery services.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers, the biggest crypto problem on: July 04, 2020, 10:24:45 PM
Of course this is happening. This is the biggest problem right now. Many have lost everything here. There is no way to solve this problem completely. It seems that scammers are increasing day by day. So we have to be as careful as possible.
First of all, scam issues is not only the biggest problem of cryptocurrency alone cause it the problem of all business/technology domains around the world.
As crypto market is getting broader scammers should be expected to be either and been careful is not enough but understand how they operated in other not to be a victim.
966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I sent usdt to btc address. Can anyone help? on: July 04, 2020, 01:25:55 PM
I sent the usdt from binance to cash app btc address

If I remember correctly, Binance switched from Omni-based addresses to ERC-20-based addresses for USDT last year and no longer support withdrawal of  OMNI-based USDT. So you should have entered an Ethereum Address. Did you contact Binance support? Maybe they can help. If not, there is no way to recover it.
Help? Theres no way any crypto exchange site in the world would help their customer in such situations cause the sent the USDT to a custodian wallet and the last chance the OP have is for him to provide us the transaction ID so we can know if the transaction is yet to be confirmed.

Seems that you don't know how tether transactions work.
Tether doesn't have its own blockchain and is sent through three other blockhchains.
1. BTC (Omni layer)
2. Ethereum.
3. Tron

Take a look at following thread. It may help you. It's a similar case posted a few day ago.
Sending USDT to BTC address.
The link was so helpful and helped me understood more about tether and the three blockchain you can use to send it.
Even, if the person send through ERC-20 and Tron blockchain, so far the wallet the tether is sent to is noncustodian in which private key for bitcoin, ether and tron can be accessed, the person will definitely receive the tether sent using the respective (bitcoin, ether or tron) addresses. Hope i am right? That means ETFbitcoin is right, but if sent to a wrong address in which the sender do not know who he send the tether to, the transactions can not be reversed.
ETFbitcoin, was right and there are also some transaction which doesnt belong to the same blockchain that can still be recover. An example is BCH which is mistakely sent to BTC address it can recover through the help of an honest miner which will need only.
The BCH transaction hash on BTC address; the public key for the BTC address and the address to receive Bitcoin Cash.
967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Undo button for transactions on: July 03, 2020, 07:57:18 PM
This type of invention is expected when cryptocurrency is getting bigger, i read the article and it stated the platform in already available on ledger wallet.
Is this project centralized or we just misunderstand them because they claimed not to hold user private keys?

Even now that there is no undo button for transactions, a lot of people are still being scammed because they sent their money to a scammer or they sent to a wrong address.
Sending to wrong address doesn't means you got scammed, it's stupidity.
Not in a situation of someone whose computer was attacked by copy clipboard hijack.

That's why it's better to request for both qr code and wallet address of sender when sending a transaction. All you need is two devices, a PC and a mobile phone that you're going to send the coin from.

Thats still a better option but most of us dont usually request for the qr code.

Anyone can recover lost coins by creating Hardfork, but will the entire network be forced to follow, no.
You can take back all your currencies or even create a new transaction with thousands of currencies.
The value of these currencies will be zero because no one will want them.
If this happens to Bitcoin, its value will be zero.
I don't understand what you're to say here but the hard fork has nothing to do with recovering of lost coins and aside from the platform discuss on this thread the other option to recover lost coins is through double spending when the transaction is yet to be confirmed.
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what way you’ll inherit Bitcoin to your loved ones? on: July 03, 2020, 07:14:04 PM
@OP, all the options you and other provided are good but not totally the best option.
The first way for you to inherit bitcoin to your loved ones is making them understand Bitcoin and how it wallet are operated/kept saved because even if they later get the wallet information after you and dont know what to do the person that understand Bitcoin can still scam them.
Second, create a paper wallet will find guide in here.
Third, buy an iron metal storage for private keys and quadrat is best.
969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The return of ICOs on: July 03, 2020, 06:27:56 PM
Whatever ICO or IEO, invester is only focus on profit.
Where is benfit , investment will go to there.
Maybe right because 95% of all investors are after profit but not all cause some investors are after project that offer something different and accept their fate if profit dont come along with it.

I think ICO will come back. After all, IEO is controlled by exchange itself, different exchange refuse other exchange's IEO project. Till now,
ICOs never exit in the first place, it just investors never trust in ICO project again. However, Im curious cause i never see any exchange that refuse others exchange IEO project.

all(most of) IEO project is rubbish, do you know any IEO project become a great project?

ICO will return back with new menthod, in the future, we can see it happening on polkdot again.
Then you misunderstand the purpose of IEO cause an IEO doesnt guarantee the success level of a project but investors assurance so investors are do proper research about the future promising level of the project before investing.
970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which currency will popular in next bullrun? on: July 03, 2020, 12:03:44 PM
I also believed Ethereum will continue to be one of the popular crypto base on the community support level and the confidence they already gained among crypto enthusiast but Ethereum won't is the most popular or the major hit when the next bull run market happen and the previous bull run marker is enough to judge what i just said.
Before ethereum get popular, bitcoin will be the first crypto, which will be popular in the next bull run. Ethereum will have the chance to increase and popular after bitcoin make a bull run, and increase the price to the next highest price. Bitcoin now is trying to get more support and prepare for the time for the next bull run, and if that can happen this year, the bitcoin price will be at the highest price. But before bitcoin price can surge to the highest price, maybe the altcoin will have their time to reach the high price and stay for a while to wait for bitcoin to reach another higher price.
Every individual in the cryptosphere is aware that bitcoin will lead the bull run market while others (altcoins) follow but I think OP asks this question so he would know the altcoin to add to his portfolio.

I also believed Ethereum will continue to be one of the popular crypto base on the community support level and the confidence they already gained among crypto enthusiast but Ethereum wont be the most popular or the major hit when the next bull run market happen and the previous bull run marker is enough to judge what i just said.
I also believe that. but, until now, ethereum is like walking in place. price development is not too striking. Well, maybe that doubt will disappear when the price of Ethereum has exceeded the price of $ 300. although I believe that the price of ethereum will be popular when pumping, but right now, I don't want to depend too much on it.
That doubt won't disappear now and even when ETH breaks the $300 barrier because we are in the market manipulation zone and it will almost next year before the market trend will change.
971  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitpay scam? on: July 03, 2020, 12:35:32 AM
Thank you for replies.
I have hardware wallet and i sent the btc from the hardware wallet to bitpay wallet to buy something.
At that  time there was a problem with their connections and after 3 hours where i connected
the btc were gone. Why there was not notification in my email that someone connected to my id
from different device?

This is the set of questions that needed to be answered first before making a valid/legit accusation against an online wallet:
  • Have you really redirected to original Bitpay website?
  • Does it have SSL[1] indicated on the link after you've visited it's website?
  • Did you really entered correct credentials on the website?
  • Is it really their connection or yours, that had a problem?
  • Is the device you've used in opening their website is secured with updated anti-virus software and doesn't have any malware applications installed?
  • Have you think your security in your side is strong enough for hackers/thieves to have difficulties entering?

There are still a lot of open ended questions before accusing such website especially their transaction system. Better answer such queries first so we can prove and support you.

[snip]

Wth everything stated by the OP the cause of the problem have nothing to do with SSL or from the OP ending. From his statement the circumstance occurred when Bitpay had connection problem when hacking took place and OP is not the only user that experienced the issue.

973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will DeFi help ethereum reach it's old 4 figure value? on: July 02, 2020, 12:06:53 AM
Ethereum is growing popularity has largely been attributed to the rising interest in DeFi projects, what's going on? Will ethereum finally be able to leave it's 3 figure value?

The number of daily addresses interacting with ETH has surge in the past 24 hours to a Two Years single day high of 486,000 addresses! The last time Ethereum's address activity was this high was on May 5th, 2018
Defi seems to be the new strategy used by new projects but i don't see any reason why Defi will be the only reason why Ethereum will reach 4 digit value which it once reached during its last ATH. Besides, i also believe Defi may also affect the price of Ethereum negatively except if the Defi will be given in another altcoin (Stable coin) cause there is a chance of having excess supply than demand.
974  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tagz exchange already surrendering on: July 01, 2020, 10:52:39 PM
Well I guess it's better than just shutting down and running off in the middle of the night with everyone's money.
But 30 days is a bit short, 60 to 90 is better. Especially with some places still on lockdown, and people having other concerns at the moment.

-Dave

TAGZ CEO once recruited me as an ICO adviser. But there were many scam accusations about the CEO about a past ICO he did. And after digging deeper the CEO showed me "proof" of his team members in the form of their "signed contracts". When I confronted the team members on Linkedin, they told me they never signed anything and were never part of the team. The signatures were faked.

I left immediately.

As I see it, TAGZ is 100% not trustworthy.
Glad you did an indepth search about the project team information which some people will ignore and chase after the money involved.
With that been said, nothing good will come out of an exchange site like tagz because they are never honest from the get go and i dont see any reason a good exchanfe site will shutdown because of the pandemic when their staffs can still remotely but is there own of scamming their exchange users and thH even scam their bounty participants which I'm among them.
In the meantime, lets spread this news
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: July 01, 2020, 12:18:41 PM
GOLD campaign began with very little attention of signature hunters. I don't know the reasons of such hesitation to join the campaign months ago. I guess they worried about the legitimacy of GOLD project.

Now, the campaign has come to its first year anniversary and the project has gotten some kind of success. The company is supported by loyal supporters. I rarely see supporters of GOLD left the campaign. It unofficially shows they are satisfied with what they receive from the campaign.
At the beginning of the GOLD launching campaign, many were still unsure of this campaign. I became the first participant to be accepted into the signature campaign and I am sure GOLD will survive and continue to grow. in the first months of the GOLD campaign many were left behind by the signature campaign participants. many moved to other signature campaigns and I stayed.

But now more and more are interested in the GOLD campaign because it is proven to continue to pay, especially the new policy on extending the campaign period which initially ended in January 2020 and was changed to a time limit that was not specified or according to the agreement of the GOLD team.
You're correct and I'm the few that joined the campaign at the early stage and never leave because i seems to have some little knowledge in selecting genuine bounty campaign. However, what captivated about this project that we have never see a previous stablecoin bounty campaign this forum so i choose to join the race then.

-snip- However, Merits are needed to achieve the full member rank. This will give the opportunity to wear the avatar.
Note: As a sign of thanks, we can give some Merit to the @GOLD_Official Bounty Manager and help him reach the rank of Full member for the purposes of installing Avatar.
I have sent mine once i saw the message and it will be an awesome decision we all do the same.
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO NOT TRUST TO TETHER on: June 30, 2020, 08:24:08 PM
its well supported and most used than DEX stablecoin projects, I have no issue with USDT, it's my favorite and I tend to keep it that way
Only the crypto currency exchange site supported the coin, it not even all exchange sites and you can hardly see a personal wallet holding the coin.

Why do you think that TETHER is not reliable? l don't agree with your opinion on that, your opinion is not enough to say that Tether is unbelievable or we must not trust to TETHER. l don't deny these facts that Tether has a lot of disadvantages like this coin is just centralized. But no doubt there are just some people hold this coin.

A coin being highly and extremely centralized IS a huge risk and disadvantage though. Yes to be fair,,, most altcoins are centralized but at least they have efforts to slowly decentralize with more and more nodes being added, less and less governance being in the hands of the few but with Tether, you have absolute centralization with almost no transparency.
The funny aspect is that they claimed to be transparency where as it just a hype to tease newbies and inexperienced crypto investors.
977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the wallet is hacked, what should I do? on: June 29, 2020, 10:07:40 PM
Due to the issues of wallet hacking that happened this year and last year which i believe are the major strategies used by hackers and to prevent hacker attack is by using strong paid antivirus, never tell anyone about your holding, know the genuine site to downlaod your wallet app or wallet manager and dont open email or click on unknown source.
978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of Americans still don't know what Bitcoin is on: June 29, 2020, 10:49:48 AM
I am surprised that you're surprised. It's not like Bitcoin was taught in school books, nor is it posted on every wall outside or every ad on the internet. It's like you're asking someone, "Why don't you know this game?" when they aren't even a gamer. If they were along the lines of developer/businessman, you can be half surprised since both have the chance of actually chancing upon Bitcoin. Besides, even the majority of the people who know about Bitcoin only know the word, they don't even know what it is.
He has every right to be surprised despite the fact that bitcoin was posted on every wall ads but bitcoin/blockchain are already among the brochure of some school in the US and it also easy for someone that gives graphic designer, dev, etc job online to know every mode of payment used online, so it normal for them to be surprised when his customers from the US said they are not an award of bitcoin.
979  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammers using Profile of High rank members to join social campaign of UNIFINITY on: June 28, 2020, 09:29:27 PM
-snip-
The forum not moderated any kind of scam or bounty and everyone have no time for solving this.

The bounty have a manager and team project right? then they should solve it the best way to prevent the cheater for their own project. There is no guarantee at all a bounty without cheating, always has some cheater. But if the project hiring a good manager, at least the manager knows how to make the cheater not too much by limiting each application by using email or device also using POA to check and verify all entries.

If you want a bounty 100% without cheater, is impossible.
It totally impossible to 100% cheater free in the bounty campaign scheme because some bounty managers are not doing their job right and the issue to reduce the numbers of bounty cheaters that use high ranking members account information to register have been discussed and the solution decided then is the Proof of authenticity post (POA). But it amazed that some bounty managers don't even care about it.
980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of Americans still don't know what Bitcoin is on: June 28, 2020, 08:44:36 PM
How did you conclude that most Americans do not know Bitcoin? Is it because two customers do not know about it.
Recent reports talk about the knowledge of more than 60% of Americans with bitcoin, and confirmed that about 5% of them are ready to invest.
The OP have every right to be surprised when his two customers which is from the US seems not to be aware of bitcoin because 60% of all people in the US have heard about bitcoin while 14% own bitcoin and i dont know where you get your own statistic information.

Adoption is created by the movement of capital heads. a single wealthy can buy what millions of investors cannot buy.
if you had three of those we will make price rise to 100000
I agreed with you on this one and the wealthy accumulator you mentioned are called whales and they are the major player in this current market.
