961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: August 27, 2023, 07:10:32 AM

Therefore, if a family man wants to continue gambling, his income must be huge. Because in family life, you never know how much money you will have left in a week.
The prices of commodities in my country are so high that average people spend twice as much money every day as they earn. As a result, there is no way for him to keep some money in reserve in the family. In our socio-economic context, it is not at all possible to support the family by participating in gambling.
I don't agree with you when it comes to profitable gambling. You see, there are no limitations in terms of how much you can earn through gambling; all you need to do is establish that consistency, and you'll undoubtedly lead a prosperous life. However, it's important to note that gambling is often perceived as a high-risk endeavor, which is why only a few manage to succeed in it. Yet, if you possess the necessary skills, generating income from gambling shouldn't pose a problem. In the future, your challenge might shift to how to effectively manage and use your wealth.

My point is, it's not accurate to always assume that no one can make money from gambling, as this notion is merely a myth.

A private employee can never support his family as per his mind, so at the end of the month he has to borrow a certain part to meet the family expenses.
Then, over time, they might face financial difficulties due to their low income and substantial expenses. From a business perspective, this situation is referred to as bankruptcy.
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 27, 2023, 06:13:06 AM

Secondly, CP3 is still not a smart choice if you ask me, you should not get him as a second unit leader, he was a great player all up until this season and suddenly this season he will be a bench player? You have Curry there, you can't make them both play together all that frequently, so what's going to happen? It is going to be a tough deal and lets see what happens but I think both CP3 and Blake Griffin situation is a weird one and should not be considered good additions.

I think he will be in the second unit for the Warriors, maybe coming off the bench to give relieved to Curry. Maybe they can play both at the same time. But for Griffin, it's not going to be good for him, it's a far stretch if he will be given like 10 minutes to play every game by Steve Kerr.

Maybe Coach Steve Kerr has a plan. CP3 is a top 10 PG in my book, and Curry can't handle point duties all the time due to potential fatigue. Given Curry's skill at off-ball movement, he becomes an excellent target for CP3, who can consistently find opportunities for him to shoot.

I'm unclear about him being relegated to the 2nd unit, as he's a bona fide star player; he might contribute more as a starter, considering his abilities.

Anyway, let's find out together once the season starts.
963  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All business need to risk, so not only crypto! on: August 26, 2023, 09:54:38 PM
All businesses involve risk so the reality is that you should have the ability to take risks.

Everyone says crypto Is high risk is it really true? My guess is less because a lot of people have had success with this crypto.
Some are investing and some are making a lot of money by trading. So why can't you?
Those who are afraid to take the risk will never see their future success.

Crypto is for everyone but I don’t think everyone is capable to find sustainable profits from crypto. Otherwise, we will definitely see all people focus on investing and trading because they are making good income from them. But based on how people share their experience with crypto, I can see that not all are lucky enough and are knowledgeable and skillful enough to bite the challenge of crypto and win them.
964  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holder are not maximizing the bitcoin potential on: August 26, 2023, 09:20:09 PM
If only all of us will be able to make our own trades profitable, then there will be no bitcoin hodlers left as everyone will end up as reliable traders. But that’s not the case in reality. Some aspiring traders have been seriously learning about trading but still, a lot of them end up in frustrations. Not because they are losing consistently, but because they find it hard to analyze and time the market due to its volatility that makes it very unpredictable. And so they end up as plain bitcoin hodlers, something that we should not also overlooked.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: August 26, 2023, 11:11:29 AM
I can see Tapales trying to set up counterhooks every time Inoue goes offensive. I have this feeling that a perfectly timed hook by Tapales is enough to hurt the Japanese champion and change the pace of the fight.

Did Fulton employ the same strategy? But look at what happened – he struggled to time Inoue's speed and was eventually overwhelmed, resulting in a knockout defeat. I don't foresee a significant difference with Tapales. On paper, Fulton appears to be the superior fighter compared to Tapales, but just like the Fulton fight, Inoue's victory seemed effortless. It's likely this upcoming fight won't be any different.

If a boxer lacks a sturdy chin and doesn't possess the same level of power as Inoue, their chances of defeating him are likely slim. Regarding Tapales, he's not known for being a knockout artist. This means that Inoue could probably absorb his punches and continue his offensive.

Looking at Tapales' record on https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/482863, he has only secured 19 KO wins in 37 fights. This doesn't compare very favorably to Inoue, who has achieved 22 KO victories in 25 matches.

I'm a bettor with a personal bias, and while I should be supporting Tapales, I can't help but recognize Inoue's exceptional skills.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: August 26, 2023, 10:30:03 AM
i thought i was looking at older inoue here. lol but in any case, this fight should be easy for ancajas if he will use all his previous experiences. sometimes it is the preparation that will greatly contribute to the outcome of the results. the younger inoue may have short list of fights but ancajas should be ready for what's to come here.

Should be an easy win for Jerwin Ancajas? How come? We are talking about a champion here.

We should not underestimate the current WBA Bantamweight Champion. Just for a fact, Jerwin Ancajas was not even on the top 5 rankings in the WBA Bantamweight prior to Takuma Inoue getting the championship belt here which is around on Rank 2 or 3 if I'm not mistaken.

Prior to also getting the vacant WBA Bantamweight title, Takuma Inoue impressed the crowd with his pure domination in his recent fights. It means he shouldn't be handled that lightly even facing the much fierce Jerwin Ancajas. I will go with Jerwin here as my fellow "kababayan" but not expecting an easy fight for him. I'd rather see him as an underdog compared to being a Favorite.

When Ancajas was still undefeated, I might have agreed with those who thought it would be an easy fight for him. However, with two losses under his belt now, he seems to be striving for redemption as a challenger in this upcoming fight. While Takuma might not be on the same level as his brother, he deserves respect for his achievements as a champion.

Here are the odds for the fight, with Inoue being the favorite.

https://champinon.info/schedule/inoue-vs-ancajas/

Inoue to win 1/2
Ancajas to win 2/1

Maybe some bettors would not understand that fraction odds, so let me convert that into american odds and decimal odds.

Using this https://www.aceodds.com/bet-calculator/odds-converter.html

Inoue 1.5 or -200
Ancajas 3 or +200

If these odds are indeed available in the actual sportsbook, I would consider them very appealing. Personally, I would place a bet on Ancajas to win, so I'd be quite pleased with that +200 if he manages to defeat the current champion.
967  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trading signal channels can be quite clever, so exercise caution ! on: August 25, 2023, 09:47:11 PM
Trading signal channels are running a business, so expect that they will do everything to deceive people especially for those who are in greed for quick profits. You can be profitable at your first subscription, but never assume that you will remain profitable in the end. That is part of their strategy, by unrevealing their intention at first until everyone else is falling on their trap. So if you are a wise trader, stay away from these trading channel apps, as they can’t be trustable and worthy of our money.
968  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you ever used copy trading apps on: August 25, 2023, 08:59:13 PM
It’s really easy to say that you’ll get bigger profits from trading out from less hassle, by simply copying trades from profitable traders. But in reality it’s not. It’s hard to find reputable traders these days since a lot of traders mostly claim that they are good and profitable in all their trades, when in reality they’ve been losing in most of their trades. Worst is, they never know exactly how trading works and they just pretend to act like good traders because it’s part of their job to make an income. That’s the reason why I don’t give a try from those copy trading apps, because that will only increase the rate of losing than just relying on your own and learned from all your losses.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I will pass KYC later is a bad idea on: August 25, 2023, 09:00:03 AM
The truth is that sometimes when we are so desperate to place a bet we don't think about the options to read the terms and conditions in the site, sometimes the reason we face such challenges is because we change our minds from our previous account to a new betting sites, thats why we finds is somehow difficult to withdraw our winning from a gambling sites.
Reading the terms and conditions of any new sites and also passing the KYC will reduce our minds from provoking imagine you won a bet and finds it difficult to withdraw your winnings.
What terms and conditions you refer to?

Most of casinos only stated the KYC verification will take some time to be verified, some time isn't specific and if you contact the live support, they will say as soon as possible.

The gambling site I'm using doesn't require KYC to start gambling, so you're right; they will only require it later when they choose to, based on their terms and services, and we are obliged to comply. As of now, my account is still normal. I created it in 2020, and I haven't been required to undergo KYC, maybe because I haven't won? Let's see if they will require me a KYC once I start winning.  Smiley

Quote
Not to mention there are few casinos ever solve an accusation was late from the promise because so many excuses and so called investigation which no one can verify it.
It's their personal investigation, so we have no choice but to wait, but if it's a reputable casino, you'll surely be treated fairly.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 25, 2023, 08:21:49 AM
Thanks, @AbuBhakar! Now I can watch the Philippines vs. Dominican Republic match without interruption. I'm betting on this particular game, so I have to watch it. Additionally, I'm looking forward to seeing how the crowd will react during the game, as they are a significant factor for the Philippines to potentially cause a major upset against the powerhouse team led by Karl-Anthony Towns.

Meanwhile, Angola vs Italy is playing already, Angola had a strong start but Italy was able to take the lead now.

It's still a close game though so this is fun.  Smiley
971  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you must follow or use the services of trading signals providers on: August 24, 2023, 08:59:22 PM
Trading is not actually relying from someone’s trades, but it’s simply learning on your own so you will understand how to navigate your trades despite of the market’s high volatility. Because if you keep following those trading signals providers, aside that you are not growing on your own, you will never learn too from your own experience in trading since you copy other traders experiences. That is why I don’t encourage people to follow these trading signals, they’re not accurate and they will only increase the chance to lose. Instead, go trade on yourself. Don’t mind your losses as they can be your gateway to success in the future.
972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oleksandr Usyk VS Daniel Dubois For The Undisputed heavyweight champion on: August 23, 2023, 03:10:05 PM

Judging by the betting odds, this appears to be a total mismatch. I won't be expecting much from Dubois, as I see it as another easy fight for Usyk. Just think about it: if those odds are accurate, betting $100 on Dubois could win you $700. It's insane and likely attractive to those who believe Dubois will pull off an upset.

Very attractive indeed I'm sure many will take the risk to bet on Dubois, Dubois only chance to beat Usyk is to impose his power in the early rounds, Usyk is just too good in the latter rounds he is a very technical fighter, but even the best technical boxers will thrown out in his game if he gets hurt by Dubois power

Check out Dubois' power here, if he caught Usyk, Dubois would pour in on him

The Heavyweight Monster | Daniel Dubois | All Knockouts

I agree, he needs to start strong and hurt Usyk if he wants to win the fight. Undoubtedly, he has the power, as 18 of his 19 wins came from KO. If we convert that to a ratio, it's a 95% KO rate. However, bookies will not offer very attractive odds if they believe Usyk will lose. This creates a puzzle for us bettors because bookies are smarter than us; they set odds based on the likelihood of winning.
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: August 23, 2023, 02:15:06 PM
So it's good to hear that Inoue is still interested on the fight and should give Marlon what he deserves in the negotiating table. Maybe just enough for Marlon and his camp and be satisfied of the pay check that the Inoue camp is offering.

Inoue's camp is just trying to delay the negotiations a bit, as they know Tapales would be willing to fight if the price is right. Tapales was the underdog when he won the championship, so it's obvious that he is not a popular boxer. However, since he has become a champion, which Inoue is very interested in due to the opportunity to get his belts, that's why he's standing firm with his demands. It's a good thing that there's now some hope of it happening.
974  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any methods to do it? on: August 21, 2023, 07:04:47 PM
I am in crypto for a few years and i have good knowledge of the crypto markets and their behavior. For the past few years, I am mostly invested in some top crypto project and held it till I get decent profits. You can say i am a holder. Now i want to try something different. I want to try day trading methods to generate a daily income from the spot market.

Is that even possible to earn 50$-100$ every day with spot trading? If yes then what methods you are using and how do you manage your risk?
Day trading is indeed more risky and more challenging than long term trading. Because even pros and veteran traders in this type of trading still end up losing no matter how good they are in analyzing the market. However, despite of how risky day trading is, there are still who make outstanding profits from it but if you mean getting a daily fixed income out from day trading, I doubt you can actually do it. Day trading is way more unpredictable. You think you can take advantage on the daily trading market, but in reality everything that seems easy path end up even more scary and risky. The reason why I don’t encourage day trading especially for those who have never established years of experience trading in the market.
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream is coming close. on: August 21, 2023, 02:46:10 PM
While I want to congratulate you and all that, cause in the current state of the economy it would really be hard to own a whole bitcoin's worth of investments and wealth, It would've been really awesome if your goal was to not really own a whole bitcoin after a certain time period, but to earn as much through consistent buys and holdings of bitcoin just as what DCA peeps do. All you're really required to do is to buy bitcoin at regular intervals regardless of its price at the time of buy, and you would be good.

You'd be surprised at how much massive your investment holdings will be once you finished it too. having one whole bitcoin is great, but in this industry consistency is the king.
Precisely my point. It’s a great goal actually if you dream to own one whole bitcoin, but seeing how extremely high cost it is, I think doing DCA could be the best option for now. However, while your focus is to own a single bitcoin in the future, well a lot of us here dream of getting massive profits out from long term hodling and trading, and once it happens you won’t only own a single bitcoin but you could also diversify your investments through the vast amount of profits that you have been earning. Do not limit your goal just for bitcoin, but think of diversifying your investments as well when you’ve had enough amount of capital in the future.

Gilas lost to Montenegro.

Vucevic sparks second-half breakaway in Montenegro win over Gilas
Quote
GILAS Pilipinas fell under the might of a strong second half by Montenegro, losing 102-87, in their friendly on Sunday night at the Philsports Arena.

Trailing early on, the Black Mountain finally got into their rythym in the second period to take a close 44-42 lead with them to the locker room.

If we're using the outcome of the match against Montenegro as a basis for evaluating Gilas' chances against the Dominican Republic, I believe there is still a possibility for Gilas to secure a victory. According to the rankings provided in the link below, Montenegro holds the 18th position, while the Dominican Republic is ranked 23rd. The proximity of their rankings suggests that the teams are relatively close in terms of skill. Even though we experienced a loss against Montenegro, it doesn't necessarily indicate complete domination, and there remains room for a competitive performance against the Dominican Republic.

https://www.fiba.basketball/rankingmen

That's a double-digit loss, but it was close in the first half. The second half is the most important, and that's where the Gilas are tested to see if they have good chemistry and are playing as one. There's no doubt about Vucevic being an NBA star and a dominant big man. However, when compared to KAT, we know who the better big man is, and it's obviously KAT. Not only can he penetrate inside, but he's also a good 3-point shooter. So, despite Montenegro having a better ranking than the Dominican Republic, I think the latter is the better team because the ranking was created when KAT was not yet confirmed to play.
977  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH LESS MONEY? on: August 21, 2023, 10:44:48 AM
Maximize Risk-Taking:
Be careful of high leverage, they can end you and put you in debt even before you make any real profit from trading. They are attractive but also dangerous and should be avoided by every trader especially the inexperienced ones who are just new to trading. Risk is encouraged, but it should not be taken blindly when you as a trader know that you are not in a position to handle the dangers that come with taking risk.

Maximize your risk wisely.
Yes. Maximize your risk but only trade within your risk. If you can’t handle it and do the risk management, then never rush in trading because if you pursue your trades with high leverage, not only you will end up in debt, but you will lose all your hard-earned money as well.

Trading with high leverage is only safe if you’ve gained years of experience in trading and you know how to turn your trades into profits despite of its highly volatile market, otherwise you’ll end up experiencing in a much higher downside risk.

Precisely. Everyone gets lucky upon knowing this forum, especially if you stayed on the forum for years and maximize your crypto learning. Without this, I guess until now I would still be a fan of fiat and would also think the same majority people believe that bitcoin is a big scam and would never do anything good with our finances. But thankfully, I chose to stay in this forum and now my knowledge and skills have even lead me to its great advantage, that is finding profits through my crypto investments as well participating signature campaigns that are giving us good compensation.

AI may be good in prediction but it is based on previous history of the game, and so saying it can accurately predict results is just an exaggeration.

I don't fully concur with this statement. In my opinion, AI excels at providing information, but when it comes to prediction, its function is based solely on algorithms to offer insights. Even if individuals possess the same comprehension of the information, they might arrive at different predictions. AI lacks the capability to experience emotions or feelings, which makes it unreliable for predicting the inherently unpredictable outcomes of a game.

I think what he meant is just the numbers, the previous history of the game, the scores or results. And maybe through that, AI can generate a prediction without the aid of emotions and that is the big difference between us and this Ai.
Maybe for AI if they look at the historical logs and see that this team is always losing, then it will just continue with the trend and says that it's going to lose next game.
But for us, there could be some upsets in the making, that AI can't see. Like players getting injured before or even during the game that can change the complexion and those underdogs become the favorite now because of such unfortunate cases.

I agree with you; there's no problem with accessing the results or the history, as all of that is recorded on the internet or whatever website serves as a source. However, using that information to generate predictions might be beyond the capabilities of an AI. I'm not entirely sure, but I would appreciate it if @AmoreJaz could provide some screenshots of AI-generated predictions to clarify this point.
