It's snowing here in southern Louisiana! It's always hotter than hell here. Expect single digits soon!

That stuff worries me.

It's snowing here in southern Louisiana! It's always hotter than hell here. The area is pretty much shut down, and all bridges closed. My city is surrounded by water so no traffic in or out for 100K people. Also, Interstate 10, the busiest in the nation, runs through my city and the bridge is closed and backed up for miles. Crazy! Many wrecks have resulted in multiple deaths. Nobody around here know how to drive on snow or ice.

I got around 7 grand on my tax refund last year, put it all in BTC. I won't get one this year since I have retired..... at age 29.

Did you retire because of your 7 grand investment in BTC?

Pretty much. I have since gone back to college and plan to start a business after. Something that would earn BTC, so I wont be fully retired for long. But I will never work for anyone besides myself again.
969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long before Bitcoin appears in a movie??? on: January 15, 2014, 04:28:33 AM
from another thread:

Ripple and Bitcoin were both mentioned yesterday in a show called "The Blacklist" as well.

In the show a government analyst supposedly transferred $5,000,000 from a bank account through Ripple to ECash exchanging it for Bitcoin and then sending it through a mixing service that he trusted before transferring it to a new bank account to make the transfer untraceable (All in under 120 seconds).

I guess they can't be expected to get all the details right, since it would make for a boring show to have to sit around and set up false identifications, get verified by an exchange, and wait for confirmations.

Haha, maybe in the future this will be possible. When we all have quantum miners  Cheesy

Maybe it's not so good after all! These idiots are trying to make BTC look bad by implying that BTC = Black Market Drugs, i.e. the entire reason BTC was created. Fucking assholes.

Do you watch "Almost Human"?  They have had 3 episodes out of 8, that mentions bitcoins.

The nature of these shows are to find criminals, so yeah it is gonna seem to imply BTC is bad. The fact that these shows know about BTC is huge! Almost Human is a futuristic show and people have BTC hardware wallet usb type sticks. Amazing shit!
973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Smartphones on: January 15, 2014, 04:11:25 AM
Zeroblock app.

It shows prices, a chart, price alerts, calculator, and news all in one app! You cannot buy or sell though.

I check it maybe every 30-45 minutes.
974  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where Do You Want To See Bitcoins In 5 Years Time? on: January 15, 2014, 04:08:35 AM
In 5 years I would like to see bitcoin in my btc wallet.

I've managed to go from 300btc to 0.5btc in less than a year. Time to reverse that over the next 5.
975  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: long term savings on: January 15, 2014, 04:07:13 AM
Nothing has better returns than BTC. Nothing is as safe as BTC.

Gold is starting to get risky, as countries will soon be fighting over debt payments.

I personally would not invest in anything else, besides marijuana stocks once they come off the pink sheets. The world as we know it is changing.
976  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fastest website to withdral my money from BTC on: January 15, 2014, 04:03:05 AM
Fastest website to withdral my money from BTC I need really fast, secure and no verifications or registrations.

It is going to be near impossible without verification.

You can actually use bitpay to cash out. Miners have used this for quite some time. The verification is very easy. I don't think they asked me for anything when I signed up. Your limits will be 1,000USD a day withdrawal to your bank account. You can send as many BTC to your account as you want, it will auto convert to cash, but only pay out 1K until you verify and raise your limits.
977  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Multicurrency pools on: January 15, 2014, 04:00:41 AM
Hi everyone.
Can u post some multipools, your hashrate and profit for 24hours for example.

I only mine BTC, but multipool.us seems to be the go to place for this.
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Just got my rigs up, what to mine? on: January 15, 2014, 03:59:45 AM
I would suggest mining in a scrypt multipool, where it automatically mines the most profitable coin at that time. Then trade that for LTC or BTC, since these are somewhat "too big to fail" compared to other coins.

I think multipool.us does this
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Online namecoin wallet? on: January 15, 2014, 03:58:00 AM
Online NMC wallets are useless, unless you are just wanting to hoard them, which in that case you would want the full secure client. You can't buy any .bit domain on an online wallet.

I agree, I would stay clear of nmc-wallet online
