961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to invest long term aside from Bitcoin? on: July 17, 2019, 02:28:08 AM
Hi, good day guys! Newbie here so I'm asking you to help me with my long term investment. Aside from bitcoin, where should I invest my money and Why?

Aside from Bitcoin, you should also invest in some altcoins. Do not put yourself into much hassle anymore. We all know there is a huge number of altcoins out there as choices. It makes you feel dizzy reviewing each one of them and deciding which particular altcoin you will be investing. Just reduce your choices into 50 or even 20. Read about their project and you are good to go. ETH, LTC, XMR, ADA, SC, BAT are some of the best choices.
962  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: First hand examples of Emotional trading on: July 16, 2019, 01:37:57 PM
What are some examples of when emotions mess up your trades?

Here is an experience that always repeats with my trades. I normally set a buy order so low to make sure that when a coin plunges deep, I can buy at the cheapest price. The ending most of the time is that my bid price will remain there at the bottom and will never be filled. The lines on the chart reverse already and I was left not able to buy anything.
963  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is KuCoin Becoming the Best Exchange for Trading? on: July 16, 2019, 08:34:54 AM
It all depends on the trader's comfort. Great chart views, user-friendly and easy to navigate. I know KuCoin is one nice trading platform but not the highest volume of the major coins so far. Volume is one of the major consideration when I choose where to trade. Orders are easily filled up when the volume is high.
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons from crypto in 2018 on: July 16, 2019, 03:10:34 AM
What valuable lesson(s) have you learnt from the crypto space in 2018 and how is it going to shape your involvement in the space going forward? Looking forward to your responses, hoping one or two persons learn a thing or two from them.

Here is what I learned in 2018: I need to have stronger hands. I have always believed that I have those until the $20,000 value of Bitcoin in the last remaining days of 2017 became $16,000 in 2018 and then $12,000 and then fell down lower at $10,000 and then worse at $6,000 until it stayed for a while at $3,000. That was the ultimate test everybody will never forget. And for several months of hodling, my hands became weaker and weaker. I let go of my BTC, a portion at least.
965  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading full time on: July 16, 2019, 02:38:18 AM
I will not go full time except if I have another source of income which is reliable and long term. Otherwise, trading for me will simply be an extra. Even the best traders do not end each day with a profit. That is the reality. It appears appealing at the start, studying trading and doing some calls but it really is not. I don't think trading gains are enough for me to be sustained with all my daily needs. Sometimes, instead of gains, I lost.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 will bring big changes? on: July 16, 2019, 02:04:15 AM
I read the news about Ethereum 2.0 will be launched at the beginning of next year (January 2020).
What if buying ethereum for now, is the right time? If there might be good advice from you, let's take time for this.
 Thank you.

For sure, it cannot be branded Ethereum 2.0 if it is just a minor change in the entire system. It is going to be huge. Right now, at a little above $200, Ethereum is indeed a good buy. I am always making sure that I am including Ethereum in my portfolio regardless of whether there is an Ethereum 2.0 or not. Ethereum is always the best altcoin. If its price goes down, grab the opportunity.
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Stop Blaming Bounty Hunter! on: July 15, 2019, 11:33:14 AM
In the earliest days of exchange listing of a coin, it is believed that bounty hunters are the ones who really do the dumping. So that ICO price is almost immediately far from the current price. I think that most of the bounty hunters will dump as soon as the coin is admitted on an exchange. But over time, the coin should get back to its price since it is only a very small portion of the total number of coins that allocated for bounty. If it fails to, the project and not the bounty hunters should be blamed.
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you protect your digital coins? on: July 15, 2019, 10:53:06 AM
cryptocurrency market started to grow day after day, and everyone now started to own coins, so the question now which come to all the coin's holders , how to protect your digital coin from losing, stealing, hacking, etc ?

If possible, do not save them in an exchange wallet, unless you are a day trader. Save them in hardware wallets such as trezor or ledger nano. They are safer as compared to online wallets or desktop wallets and mobile wallets. Private keys should not be shared to anyone, strictly. And they should be kept somewhere very safe, preferably somewhere secret.
969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to make sense of bitcoin on: July 15, 2019, 10:13:44 AM
New to bitcoin but having problems understanding it.  Why can't anyone else create a coin that can be used worldwide, why do bitcoin and altcoins have the same value all over the world?

What is the benefit of a retailer or business in US letting its customers pay via bitcoin?

How do you trade bitcoin?

Bitcoin is already worldwide. Everyone can use it even if one is in Europe, or in Asia, or in South America, or in North America, or even in Africa. The only problem with Bitcoin is that other countries do not allow it. So it is not on Bitcoin's end but on the part of the government of the countries where Bitcoin is not allowed. Do you think their restriction will be lifted if another coin is going to replace Bitcoin? We have thousands of altcoins and yet some countries remain hard and close-minded.
970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will IEO be good in the future? on: July 15, 2019, 08:23:06 AM
I have now some money but still earning to invest more in an IEO. I have heard celer IEO and investor get x6 of its investment. I was move away by this profit in an instant, i want also so i keep money, my question is after all good feedback of IEO, will IEO be like Ico which failed in the market or will IEO be last longer?

For now, we do not know what is the future for IEO. What we know so far is that it is the trend among offerings nowadays. It is much better than ICOs in that ICOs have no assurance to get listed on exchanges. At least in IEOs, they are already listed. But we are always changing, we always find new and better ways. It could happen anytime that another way of offering comes out that may replace IEO.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could you recommend two good altcoins? on: July 15, 2019, 07:51:36 AM
I am considering buy two altcoins, can anyone give some recommendation? I have about $1000 to invest in altcoin.

Split that up into two. I would equally invest in Ethereum (ETH) and Monero (XMR). Both have been topping the charts. Of course Ethereum has always been in the second spot next to Bitcoin. Monero, on the other hand, may not be within the top 5 in the market but it has maintained its spot within the top 20.
972  Economy / Economics / Re: Regulation of Cryptocurrency Around the World on: July 15, 2019, 04:55:01 AM
It is just a matter of time before the entire world map will be covered in complete green. There will always be early adopters, those are the countries that looked at and studied cryptocurrency, and what it could possible give as benefits to their countries, earlier than others. Those are the countries that accepted crypto for the sake of their people. They are the models from whom other countries will learn a lot.
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LOSS TO BAD CRYPTOCURRENCY INVESTMENT on: July 15, 2019, 04:15:22 AM
People should start using rational approach to the market rather than an emotional one. A lot are buying out of FOMO. That is one trap that will put them into loss. A lot are selling out of fear once again. That sealed their loss. They seem not to be doing steps out of their minds, many are making decisions our of what they feel. A bull run is not a time to buy, it is a time to consider selling.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC HALVING on: July 15, 2019, 02:58:19 AM
Litecoin is always one of the best altcoins out there. It does not matter whether there is halving or not for Litecoin to remain at the top. But of course halving is going to make Litecoin more advanced. This is going to be an additional reason why Litecoin is going to become more and more precious. The difficulty matters.
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I hate Banks and love Bitcoin :-> on: July 14, 2019, 01:53:46 PM
Circumstances like that really try your patience. That is the problem when transactions will pass through some middle agencies that are actually unnecessary. And the fact that the payments are not allowed in several modes will add to the hours of processing. Bitcoin would have made the payment a lot quicker and disturbances would have been completely avoided or reduced to the minimum. But then again, you should have paid on time.  Grin
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't complain for too long. on: July 14, 2019, 10:43:45 AM
The altcoin bull run is just a waiting game. We cannot just push for it if Bitcoin cannot achieve its bull run first. Altcoins will rise usually after a bullish Bitcoin. While Bitcoin is still rising strong, the altcoins will remain below as they are negatively affected by the bullish demand of Bitcoin over altcoins. Let's just make some good profit from Bitcoin first for now.
977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia, Philippines, Indonesia and India support crypto the most on: July 14, 2019, 10:02:10 AM
Every time I hear about India it's always a negative crypto related piece of news. If the people support bitcoin so much in there why don't they protest against the plans of their government that is calling BTC a fraud and a way to launder money. That support will not mean much if it gets banned and they allow for it.

As far as I can recall, there was some protest though, but I don't think it garnered support from crypto enthusiast in India.

Russia? I don't think that they are going to be crypto friendly because they always contradict themselves.

But look at how the people of Russia is very active in cryptocurrency. There are even a lot of crypto projects that are developed by the Russians themselves. This goes to show that you cannot really stop people from supporting and using cryptocurrency even if the government itself is against it. Cryptocurrency is simply more powerful than governments. They cannot shut it down.
978  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm interested in trading but don't know where to start. Any tips? on: July 14, 2019, 09:23:56 AM
I am newbie in trading. can you guys please help me ? How much money do I need to get started?

When you start trading, don't think of the money yet. Think of how to trade. Read some reliable articles or reviews about trading. Choose one trading platform. Perhaps you consider those that have large volumes and many traded coins. Create an account and study the different movements of the prices, buttons and what they mean, and so on. Only after exploring that you then deposit a little amount. You may start with .1 or even .09 BTC or 1 ETH.
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Would you participate in new project if it is not listed in ICO rating websites? on: July 14, 2019, 04:56:48 AM
No, you do not rely on the ratings and reviews given by ICO rating websites. They used to have the trust and credibility but now no more. They used to reflect the real and honest-to-goodness reviews of crypto projects, but now they will just give you stars and high ratings according to how much you pay them. The result and proof? Look at those who earned many stars and high ratings and how they are now. Many of them have already died.
980  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Blockchain Replace Banks? on: July 14, 2019, 04:10:22 AM
If the banks will not adapt to the technological changes of the time, then they will probably be replaced. But then it is not necessary to compare banks with blockchain for this matter because banks could simply use blockchain as well. But if they insist in using whatever old and obsolete banking system they have and disregard the rise of blockchain, they would definitely end up outdated and then replaced with something updated.
