961  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you ever trade at work? on: January 20, 2020, 02:04:34 PM

but if anyone has done it I think it is a very risky activity because if caught by the boss then most likely the person will be scolded
not only scolded in my opinion, the biggest risk is to be fired, because it violates office rules, and besides that it violates office hours that should work but is used for personal gain, but it would be a different story if the company owner also trades, I think this can be an advantage, because it can be close to the owner of the company because it has the same hobby.

Sometimes it might depend on how urgent your current assignment is at work, but regardless of the conditions on what you're doing you shouldn't be caught by your boss doing other things unless he or she is like a close of you although that is kinda biased for your co-workers, it would still be best to avoid it. You're earning anyway in your job so you could just take it as a part time at home.
This is about how we divide time, and of course the priority is the work that is in the office, I have also done the same thing, but I do it when work in the office is done and I have free time, there I use the opportunity to trade. I don't often do things like that because I really should focus on work in the office and don't let the office target not be reached.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin promos on twitter on: January 20, 2020, 01:05:59 PM
Hello,

is there way how find some promoters who can donate altcoins for promototions ?

Thank you for any offers.
I think donations are very rare on Twitter, but you can follow the bounty campaign in this forum, you can ask colleagues who are here and I don't think you will get results if you can actually participate in campaigns there. My advice, you multiply relations here in order to keep abreast of existing developments regarding promising projects
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust Wallet - Trustworthy? on: January 20, 2020, 10:06:59 AM
I am using Trust Waklet on my handphone. Basically it stores all my coins. But I wonder is it safe? What if my phone crash. What if I buy a new phone and need to transfer the wallet over? Is there any best practices for Trust Wallet. This is basically my entire fortune and I am trying to be as safe as possible
After I see your link, I think it is good to be an option, and maybe in the near future I will try a trust wallet, and try to separate some of my assets from the old wallet, then separate it in a trust wallet, I think this is practical but still does not eliminate sense of secure. Hopefully my belief is not wrong.
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum’s development model will pay off in 2020 on: January 19, 2020, 12:10:24 PM
Ethereum 2.0 has been a long time coming - and it’s not quite here yet. Ethereum functions on continuous development, and they’ve been doing this upgrade thing a lot longer than the rest of us. Starting with Frontier in 2015, Ethereum has had a string of hard forks and upgrades intended on bettering the network. That leads us to where we are now, on the brink of Ethereum 2.0 Serenity - but without a date for the hard fork to end all Ethereum hard forks (for the moment, at least). Realistically, 2020 will most likely be the year that we see Ethereum 2.0, but that doesn’t mean that Ethereum won’t continue to upgrade and develop the blockchain. Working on continuous development means that Ethereum will get better and better, we’ll just have to wait for it. Ethereum is open source, and all members of the community are encouraged to actively participate in bettering the network. It’s clear that Ehereum’s development model will pay off in 2020, and the network will thrive.

An overview of previous Ethereum updates
As we’re working our way up to Ethereum 2.0, let’s take a quick look at the updates that have brought us closer to Serenity.

Frontier (2015): The launch of the Ethereum blockchain.
Ethereum Classic (2016): Split the blockchain into Ethereum and Ethereum Classic. Ethereum Classic now functions separately from the core Ethereum blockchain.
Byzantium (2017): The first update of the Metropolis phase. Intent to optimize gas consumption, support verification for RAS signatures, and more.
Constantinople (2019): The second update of the Metropolis phase. Gas requirements for certain transactions were reduced, efficiency and speed of Ethereum virtual machine was improved.
Istanbul (2019): Another step towards Serenity. Altered various opcodes to prevent spamming blocks and more.
Muir Glacier (2020): Pushed back the Ethereum Difficulty Bomb timeline.

Ethereum’s development model
Ethereum wants to change the world. And in order to do so, it has to be accessible to anyone, anywhere. Thus, the Ethereum development model has to be global, decentralized, and inclusive. As a developer community, they have to operate as openly as possible. By encouraging participation from community members all over the world, through developer calls, GitHub, formal updates, and informal updates (as well as various other channels).

According to Ben Edgington, an advisor to ConsensYs on Eth2, “We [Ethereum] nurture organic growth and are wary of any one party exerting too much control. To an extent, our approach resembles that of Linux, which has come to dominate much of the world’s computing. (Linux doesn’t have much of a roadmap either.)”

An open source model like the one that Ethereum operates under, helps to nurture a community that feels inspired by a single issue. The road to Ethereum 2.0 will be paved by the blockchain’s community. This model of development inspires people to actively engage in the Ethereum network, and helps build a better blockchain for all. As Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said, “If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.” So, yes - Ethereum’s development model will pay off in 2020, whether we see Ethereum 2.0 or not.

https://twitter.com/ethereum/status/1207765161278410752

We’ll see Ethereum 2.0 soon
We can remain fairly optimistic about seeing Ethereum 2.0 soon. Ethereum’s development model will pay off in 2020, and the network will upgrade. With it, Ethereum 2.0 will bring major change to the community. Solving issues of scalability means that the blockchain will be faster and more efficient, and better able to host developers who want to build their dApps on the network. The continuous development of the blockchain means that each and every update that has happened since Frontier, has brought us closer to Ethereum 2.0 - and the network is not going to come to a standstill once Serenity is implemented. 2020 is going to be an exciting year for Ethereum, and the entire community will benefit.

You could say I am a fan of ethereum, I always support whatever policies exist in ethereum, hearing this news of course I'm worried too if ETH requires a long enough time to re-develop, but for me it does not matter. So if the calculations are correct, then in the future I will not have to worry about taking the results that I have planted for a long time. Whatever happens, I think ETH will still be a choice.
965  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long Term VS Daily Trading on: January 18, 2020, 05:35:19 PM
I think long term trading is less risky.  Another benefit is that you avoid all the trading fees that you have to overcome with day trading plus the fact that you will make some mistakes that cost you money.

Agree, we need to spend a lot of money in trading fee because if we don't make any profits we should hold it for the long term. Instead of entering a higher value it is better to grab them when the coin prices are very low in the market and it will surely help us to make some decent profit in the long term.

We can’t say daily trading is not good because day trading is also good in this volatile market but to earn from daily trading its important to have time for it so you can explore market every hour and daily trading is fully safe as it does not have risk of lose with sudden market move. Trading is any person's own choice and for me both are profitable but I trade long term.
I prefer to adjust both, where long-term trading is savings that we can use if there is a really sudden need, and I agree if we cannot blame absolutely absolutely because that is how we process our assets and minimize mistakes. in trading. If between these two options there is harmony, I think we can all stay here, just how do we maximize the opportunities that exist.
966  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Trade By The News, Follow The Price Action on: January 18, 2020, 04:35:26 PM
If you trade long term, then the news of the day is less likely to affect you. The daily volatility can be good if you are very skilled at trading but for most people is hard to take advantage of.
That's right what you said, I think those two factors are related to trading, how can we trade if we don't know the news about what is selling in the market. And news sometimes influences prices, this is crypto full of question marks, unexpected things can happen here
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crime is getting Worse, what do we do? on: January 18, 2020, 12:57:52 PM
We should be careful who to trust. Don't trust any person if someone offers you a very good return of investment in telegram. Always try to deal with someone you know or a lot of people recommend to you.
I think that's right, they will always appear in a variety of forms, what we can do is detail in selecting and sorting out projects, we must know very well or not more than the project, the greater the promise offered, the greater the risk of scamm. Although in practice not all scammers, but have an impact on those who have a good vision and mission, I am sure that the apparatus here are not standing still and are always working hard to overcome crime here.
968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH, BSV more profitable than Ethereum? on: January 18, 2020, 11:26:38 AM
I don't know what happened with the Ethereum, why this coin's price is not growing that much? Without Bitcoin pumping, Ethereum can't grow a bit. Where BCH or even BSV price keeps pumping like the bull run! Now, 1 BSV coin's price is more than double of 1 Ethereum. I am a holder of Etherem, but day by day I am being frustrated by holding it, it's price is far lower than 200 USD! Unbelievable. What do you think guys? Should I convert my ETH into BSV or BCH for more profit?
Look, as I know BSV has only excelled lately while ETH is recovering, I cannot fully blame and justify your opinion. For medium to long term investments, I think ETH is still a favorite. And I think that will happen later, so even though BSV is currently being heavily discussed, I don't think ETH will lose its popularity.
969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to maximize profit on: January 17, 2020, 05:47:33 PM
at least you can start with a capital and when you have made a profit, the profit should be saved or hold for the long term, and the next action you can use capital that has returned to buy more when prices weaken. it's a way where you can maximize profits for maximum long-term profits
I think this is a good solution, so the profits you have will certainly still be there and the return on capital you can invest in the coins that you have planned, I think you also need to remember and re-record which coins you will go after you have enough capital, and you also have to pay close attention to the coin that you are holding and then you can add to the profit you have saved before.
970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using Crypto at Gas Stations on: January 17, 2020, 04:34:28 PM
Isn't it dangerous if the transaction signal queue can trigger the gas to overflow and become a fire? unless previously ordered with the application system in advance. if they don't use stable coins, many will be confused by the ever changing rates. On the other hand, it might be effective if applied at electric vehicle stations.
Very good opinion, I agree if this works through the application before we refuel, the buyer will get a purchase code or voucher before finally being exchanged at the refueling station. I hope this kind of thing can happen as crypto is growing rapidly and surely this will really happen in my country.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are mainstream events linked to crypto's price movement on the market? on: January 17, 2020, 03:34:18 PM
Do you think current prices on the market for each cryptocurrency are largely attributed to events in the mainstream world? I've noticed that every time the stock market goes up, crypto goes down in price. The same thing happens vice versa. Even Facebook's Libra announcement, had a positive impact in crypto's price within the short term. I believe this shouldn't happen in the first place as crypto was meant to distance itself from the centralized world. Linking mainstream events to crypto, will result more harmful than good, in my own opinion. Crypto should be independent from whatever happens in the outside world. Once this is achieved, cryptocurrencies will be able to reach prices far beyond reach. At least, that's the way I see it. Maybe I'm wrong. But, if crypto is truly linked with events in the mainstream world, we could have an idea when it'll rise in price or when it'll fall.

What do you think? Huh
This is all out of our control, I can not be absolutely sure that the price here is influenced by movements in the outside world, but it could be the slightest possibility of happening, even in our world like that. To be sure we all expect the best here, regardless of all that is here it is influenced by the outside world, for me it is not so long as the price does not cause huge losses for us. And sometimes crypto also likes to cast its magic unaffected by the outside world or anything that happens out there. I think everything is unpredictable and enough to enjoy while running it.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV Drama on: January 17, 2020, 02:28:42 PM
Yes, i must say bitcoin SV is good actor, the coin can make people have mindset up trend is running but I'm sure they are wrong. Movement from rumors is really funny and the worst thing is many people believe that. Fake movement create to invite people replace their money for empty hope. Soon bitcoin SV will came back into real position and that time people who already replace their money will get lost/ stuck. We should learn about correction, wave and real movement before sure this is the right moment to replace trust.
Agree with you, I think the plot made by BSV is pretty neat and makes it seem like this all happened naturally, but unfortunately all who are here have started to realize this and it doesn't take long to be lulled in the drama made by BSV , we just wait for the steps that will be taken by BSV and I hope this drama will pass quickly.
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ideas for a new Bitcoin name? on: January 17, 2020, 11:20:07 AM
Hi All,

I love this community and what it stands for, so im trying to start a new project to make it like Bitcoin but with small differences. So i need ideas for a new name. As this is a community project, i will pick whatever name you guys want, please let me know.

What I expect from the hope that you want to create is not manipulating, recently I am disgusted by the existence of altcoin in the name of bitcoin but not in accordance with reality. I hope you consider the name well so as not to disappoint its users who expect more from your creations.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Monero Be The Best Investment In 2020? on: January 16, 2020, 06:14:32 PM
Well!! Did you know? One of the altcoin called monero has gained so much popularity in the crypto market, as it is showing the best signs in the market.
Several cryptocurrency experts assume that monero has the ability to show its potential in the crypto market.

According to crypto expert monero price will rise high in the coming days.
https://coinpedia.org/information/xmr-monero-price-prediction/

Let me know your point of view on this?
This is just how monero maintains its title as the first privacy coin in cryptocurrency, so that it can still compete with new coins that skyrocket and become a favorite, I think if monero can consider this, it is no longer possible, but it is certain that the monero can return to glory like in the beginning emergence. And I hope monero will again dare to compete and side by side with other coins.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: token supply on: January 16, 2020, 04:12:50 PM
sometimes I think if you look at the amount of token supply in such a large amount that trillions and trillions after the project runs several months or years, the token will be burned, what for if you make tokens with a large supply, but will be burned, ...?

 Roll Eyes
Yes, it is indeed a kind of marketing strategy, I think they are taking quite a high risk for this kind of strategy, this could be natural if their tokens are in demand in the market. But it would be very unfortunate if in the long run their strategy did not work, but again I think the project owner has prepared anticipation about such things for their good name.
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do scam ICOs really taken to the court? on: January 16, 2020, 02:17:08 PM
I saw some of the scam busters in the forum talking about taking the case to the court on scam ICOs, my question is, is it really happening.

Can you give me scam ICO that was already taken to the court and teams are being punished?
I know about Centra.. so give me others.
There are a number of cases that have been brought to justice, and I feel that something like this must exist in order to have a deterrent effect, but unfortunately this is not evenly distributed, where small cases are not heeded and easily disappear. In the future, hopefully there will be a legal follow-up on the scamm project so that they will be deterred and we will not regret it in the future.
977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hottest alts of 2020 on: January 16, 2020, 11:36:26 AM
What do you think the hottest alts will be this year?

Very interested in getting strong opinions on this.

Why dont you tell us your opinion first? If you are asking this way, everyone will obviously shill their own bags. But yea lets give it a try, my top picks are:

1. Dogecoin
2. Mooncoin
3. Venezuelan Petro
4. PotCoin
5. TrumpCoin
6. PutinCoin and Putin Classic
7. Whoppercoin
8. Unobtanium
9. Cat Coins
10. Useless Ethereum Token

Edit:

Sorry forgot about:

11. UFOCoin and 12. F*** Token

A good list, this is a list that we must have in determining our future of cryptocurrency. So that when we have assets, we are not confused about where to save them. We can not always depend on a coin top, and indeed the best step is to raise coins as your list makes.
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Government Cryptocurrency on: January 16, 2020, 07:51:52 AM
China is planning to launch their crypto currency, with attention to distribution and adoption, since they are involving all four major banks in the country, two major e-commerce websites Alibaba and Tencent and UnionPay as online payment provider for all four state banks involved in the project

crypto will be centralized and controlled by the state, but high level of acceptance shall be expected

plan is to launch it no later than 2020, november 11, according to latest news, will be interesting how this is going to influence crypto markets this year
The worst possibility is when one day China monopolizes cryptocurrency. I think we should examine very well the intentions and objectives of the Chinese government to do this, which is feared the effects of what China is doing have a negative impact on cryptocurrency, and if it has an impact on cryptocurrency then it will also affect us all.
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I feared new altcoins might be left out on: January 15, 2020, 04:37:18 PM
I feared new altcoins will be left out so i start selling some coins for bitcoin because it can be a big blow if altcoin fails to surge like in 2017 after bitcoin reach a new ATH, what do you think? And what would you have done in my position
I think you only need to re-select altcoin which you want to maintain, not all altcoins are bad, excessive worry sometimes affects, it is undeniable that many new coins cannot last long. But not all of them, there are some that can survive and are worth investing.
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Birthday gift ideas: which 3 fun altcoins to choose? (Jesuscoin, Dogecoin ... ) on: January 15, 2020, 03:13:11 PM
Hey guys,

In need to pick 3 fun altcoins to give as a gift to my bro. Was thinking about Jesus Coin, DogeCoin and something else. What other fun coins are out there? Needed not for investment but only for kicks, gonna buy like 10$ each Smiley Please throw some ideas for i would be really grateful!

Requirement
a) any chance that all 3 of them would be in one exchange?
b) one wallet (i.e.  Exodus) holds all 3 coins (so i could just send recovery/backuo key or login info)

Big thank you for any thoughts.
Of course I did not choose between the list, but I still consider doge for the short term, of course if there are additional options I would choose ETH and NEO, the rest I did not glance at it. Rather than me saving with great concern.
