I'm just paranoid. I spent an hour talking to AnonymousPirate and about 30 minutes talking to @boxxy in the IRC. I invested time and money. I won't spread or say anything more. I'm not racist or a bigot. I'm also not Herp or ManOnTheMoon either. I think a few of us just starting to get on the same scent-trail. But again, I won't say anything more. I've moved on and I hope Mazacoin is not what I think it is. Just be safe guys. |

Cheers for that. Not really anything on that list that I have the skills for. But, as you say, donations are always good. One thing I have been thinking about, though, is a Resurrection Campaign to coincide with Easter. I think it would be awesome if we could maybe put together a bounty to get some artwork / media together around the idea of the Resurrection of Coinye. "You thought we wuz dead in the hearts o' men. But, like Yeezus, I'm a-rise again." Or as Kanye says in Black Skinhead, "Back out the tomb, bitch!" It'd make a great story. I can already see the headlines on Vice and Noisey "Coinye Back From The Dead?" "Is Coinye the world's first zombie crypto currency?" Wow.
I was mining Coinye from Day 1. And stuck with it for a few weeks before my attention was dragged elsewhere. But I must say I'm impressed and delighted that you guys have kept the faith and are still plugging away. As a sign of my appreciation, I've just bought 10 million on Cryptorush to put us closer to the big sell wall that's sitting there.
Anything pertinent I need to know to get back contributing? Has the wallet been updated? Anything like that?

Ok so Mazacoin devs just concluded a Q&A on IRC.
My take from the chat:
Mazacoin will never be adopted as any sovereign currency of any kind and thus coin price premium this Mazacoin has is totally undeserved.
The tribes will never adopt Mazacoin because they're getting plenty of government handouts and the 5% premine is way to small to incentivize them. If some tribe were to get on-board, they would just start fresh with their own coin. On top of that there's also gov pressure which won't allow it even if aforementioned conditions are met.
From this IRC chat it became very clear the two devs Boxxa and AnonPirate are at odds with each other so there is shitty development cohesion there, or lack thereof. Boxxa didn't agree with Pirate about launching Maple coin. He thought timing sucked.
Boxxa is the only dev working on Mazacoin and he's working part time. I think he lied when he said Pirate was still involved. His only incentive, or so he says, are the Mazacoins he bought while they were 100. We don't know why pirate decided to start Maplecoin, Boxxa dodged that question.
Some raised the question about Pirate starting MapleCoin as "pump and dump" as Boxxa called it and if it's wise to have someone like that in the team. Boxxa dodged the question.
Regarding Payu and Pirate relation, Boxxa didn't know exactly who contacted who to start Mazacoin. It would seem he's leaning towards Pirate being the head of it just as the leaked email mentioned.
Payu does not have a direct connection to Boxxa, they don't even speak on the phone and he can't get in touch with Payu easily. To me this sounds retarded on a project of this scale.
When asked about the sovereign national status of the currency, why is it advertised as such, Boxxa dodged the question, basically denying it was presented as such, though Payu clearly did so on camera.
All in all - a lot of hype and not much to show for except empty promises and a lot of BS.
Several times during the chat Boxxa tried to divert attention to "ongoing pump" since the Q&A started, but there was no significant price jump. He was obviously very concerned about the price and his own stake in the project, even though Mazacoin is all about long term steady growth, which is a pretty big disconnect.

To test my theory, I copied the Bitcoin Wallet screenshot from Google Play, uploaded it to Imgur, then saved it to my desktop as a png. Then I uploaded it to Twitter here: https://twitter.com/neuroMode/status/442877582581571585Then I copied the image and pasted it back into paint for another side by side and uploaded it to Imgur here: https://i.imgur.com/o1GivSl.png:  Look at the link in a separate tab for a better view. Put them side-by-side and do a zoom (will magnify both images equally). Tell me, why is there a ton of pixelation all over the Mazacoin while the Bitcoin Wallet screenshot looks crisper? Is there a photoshop job happening with @Mazacoin's Android wallet that is causing strange compression issues with the pixels? I seriously want to get your opinions because this looks very shady. I guess we'll know tomorrow but this looks like a setup.  I'm happy to admit I'm wrong but the Android wallet pic looked extremely grainy to me. Look closely. His best response was something along the lines of "You'll get your answers in the news articles coming out in a few days." He had all the chance in the world to explain to me a few things that I was concerned about and couldn't dispel a single thing. You might say "What makes YOU so special, neuroMode, that you think a dev should take time out to humor you and your crazy conspiracy theories?" Well, I'm not anyone special. I'm just someone concerned and speaking on the behalf of others who are just as concerned. If you are a true and honest developer you wouldn't want the concerns people have had to be rampant and spreading like wildfire. You would be concerned about the people who had invested time and money into a project you are working on and you would be more than happy to take time off to ensure the reputation of the coin is upheld and there are no blurred lines between what people think and what is reality. It's part of the job. And it's especially part of the job when it's related to a coin specifically designed to HELP impoverished and neglected people.
