961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO are good for startups seeking funding. Is IEO efficient enough? on: April 03, 2019, 03:20:08 PM
IEO is becoming the new trend in crypto and it is overtaking the ICO .
But I guess more people trust IEO since they have an active project .
But let's not forget that scammers could also do anything ,They could create websites and create IEO .
So for me it would only be just like ICO scammers would create so many IEO.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: By far THE biggest crypto scam EVER… on: April 03, 2019, 03:03:37 PM
It seems that it is all about Bitcoin Cash story while bashing the idea of Satoshi for creating Bitcoin.
Whoever made that article must be a bagholder of BCH though the article is five[5] months old since we are still in a bearish trend. I think it's a propaganda to raise some investors of BCH.
Yup looks like whoever made it just wants to make some noise for BCH,
Just a normal story to raise more publicity on BCH to gain more investor.
Well it is their way to promote it their marketing strategy to gain more investor for the crypto.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "BOUNTIES" Is it still worth it? on: April 02, 2019, 05:08:16 PM
I have stopped joining some bounties since I didn't get paid most of the time.
Working with bounties is just a waste of time for me .
I know it is also my fault because I didn't choose the correct bounty to join but it is so hard to choose which one is the best.
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smerits Hodl on: April 02, 2019, 04:23:45 PM
It is true there are only few who gives Smerit to the forum.
There are so many good quality post out there and helpful topics that isn't receiving merit at all.
Most of us are just reading it without giving merit to the OP even if the post was good and helpful for everyone.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why did bitcointalk now had KYC verification? on: April 01, 2019, 08:29:42 PM
I know its very  hard to explain, but why did theymos think that KYC is really necessary for this lovely forum?
It is just a big joke ,
It is just Theymos having fun on the forum every April 1 he would do something to make fun and celebrate the April Fool's Day.
So just relax this year he really fooled a lot of member and I am one of those who got fooled by this prank  Grin .
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the general rules of ETH token airdrops? on: April 01, 2019, 08:03:34 PM
I have a few ETH addresses and in the last years I've been getting some random tokens out of nowhere, which occasionally amount to $3-5 each. I'm thinking, is it possible to farm such airdrops by creating lots of ETH addresses? So, my question is, what are the conditions for those airdrops? Do I need to have a certain amount of ETH on my addresses, or just have a transaction history with some volume, and do tokens play any role?

Edit: this is not a question about the airdrops where you have to register to receive tokens, I'm asking about airdrops that just send tokens to existing addresses without even asking the owners.
Not sure how this happen and how they would choose the participants on their airdrop .
I don't really receive some airdrops in my wallet unless I participate in their website or register for it.
But I remember that I receive one but it doesn't really have a value .
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing when to sell off your crypto investment on: April 01, 2019, 06:36:51 PM
For me it is all about your goal how much do you intend to earn,How much could you lose always set up a cut lose .
To me it is really important to set when to sell your crypto if you aren't good at reading the chart then always set up when would you sell it.
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A day with Bitcoin on: April 01, 2019, 06:05:02 PM
Basically you are not using any BTC for your needs in that day as you paid everything with fiat. Indeed you did not spend any fiat money directly from your wallet but you exchange your BTC first to get fiat. In conclusion, it is impossible to live with no fiat if you live in a place when there is no store/merchant that accepts bitcoin as payment method. I'll have the same experience with you if I try to do the same thing in my country.

Well basically if you would think about it he is paying with Bitcoin because the money he is spending is came from crypto.
Even though it is not directly Bitcoin payment I would still consider it as a day with Bitcoin because what he spent is all from crypto .
969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto ‘Won't Turn Out to Be a Complete Delusion' on: March 31, 2019, 05:20:09 PM
This wouldn't be a complete delusion just look at how far it already went.
Look at how much it have survive and how many countries and business have already accepts it .
This wouldn't be a delusion it would walk straight to the future it would be part of the evolution.
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am a time-traveler from the future, here to beg you to stop what you are doing on: March 31, 2019, 04:30:45 PM
It is entertaining story but we all know that it was just a made up story.
We all know that from the point that he stated the price "the value of Bitcoin has increased by about a factor ten. From 0.1 dollar in 2010, to 1 dollar in 2011, to 10 dollar in 2012, to 100 dollar in 2013. From now on, there's a slight slowdown, as the value increased by a factor ten every two years, to 1,000 dollar in 2015, to 10,000 in 2017, 100,000 in 2019"
We all know that it didn't really happen that way.
But so far it was a good story.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to invest in a couple alts.. on: March 31, 2019, 04:02:27 PM
For me it is better to invest in the top 100 coins in CMC rather than the new alt-coins.
We should decide for our own, do our own research for our money .
If you want to invest in crypto go with the crypto that would be good for a long term.
972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can you reverse or cancel a bitcoin transaction? on: March 31, 2019, 03:35:21 PM
I think once it is already sent or the transaction is already out,
There is nothing that we couldn't do with it but to wait till it is confirmed.
We couldn't reverse or cancel a Bitcoin transaction once it is made.
973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leaving Behind Crypto When You Are Gone? on: March 31, 2019, 02:00:48 PM
Read examples of people gone and they never gave their family or relatives their keys to their crypto.  How do most of you handle this?  Now if you have everything in your nano ledger s or trezor or even electrum for example, well you give them the 12 or 24 word seed and they have it.  Now i thought of some issues.  What if they dont know how to operate a computer?  Who do they turn to?  Are there bitcoin services where when someone is gone, their family or relatives go to that service and say this is the code or phrase for the crypto and they mention if its stored in a hardware wallet or exchange or electrum etc and have that service get their crypto for them for a price?  Like it will cost $100 or $500 for the service?  Such as they would then transfer the crypto to the family's own wallet or contact the exchange and have them set up the crypto to be sent to their family member's account?

~snip~
For me it would be a good thing to leave a flash drive with a guide inside and all of your wallet or crypto related stuff in it,
So in case anything happen they could still use your crypto and it wouldn't be useless and lost forever.
974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not about ''get rich fast'' !! on: March 31, 2019, 01:28:49 PM
I am sick of new people who are here only for bitcoin price, only for gains and still talking about price ... Everywhere i see like bitcoin will go to 100,000 USD or 1,000,000 USD, they only want to get rich fast but bitcoin is not about it ... Bitcoin is about freedom and privacy . I see us as some kind of warriors against governments and central banking cartels, we are here to claim our rights and freedom back! We are here to create powerful tools that give more power to individual against governments ! We are here to change our monetary system ! Every government basically corrupt, they dont care about other people, i think every politician should be representative of his voters , but i feel its like we are serfs ! Think about it ...

I think you are right, Most of the people in crypto forget that it is made for freedom and privacy.
But most of us forgot about it because of our greed on money, Most of us here are after the profit not for the use of freedom and privacy .
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving Bitcoin Starters on: March 30, 2019, 01:54:37 PM
Since the market is still sleeping, i have to be patient and make something alternatively profitable like signature campaigns in order to not get bored. I have been active on campaigns since then and got plenty of bitcoins on hold.

Lately, my brother saw me browsing on bitcointalk then ask me a lot of things about this. After a couple of hours of question and answer, i hoprle he learned something from me. He wanted to try trading and engaging in bitcoin but he does not have anything. I ask him to read and familiarize bitcoin more and after that i would gave him some as a starter. After a couple of weeks, he tells me he's ready.

I lend him 0.2 BTC so that he can do trial and error in trading or even bet a little on gambling. I checked him yesterday and it seems that his doing good and earned even a little. I also noticed that he become more responsible mostly on financial things. I am planning to not take the .2 capital and just gave it to him since i saw that he's a hardworking person now.

By the way, he's just 15yrs old and im glad i teach him important things in that age.
Wow I think it is a really good thing that you talk to him about crypto.
This could make him more responsible person and teach him how to manage his money the right way.
At least at an early age he is earning his own money and because of it he wouldn't spend it on something stupid because it is his hard earn money.
976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will atomic swaps replace crypto currency exchanges? on: March 29, 2019, 07:51:21 PM
I think it could really replace the crypto currency exchange the only problem is how are we going to see the current price with the atomic swap?
If I am not mistaken then the shapeshift.io is considered as an atomic swap right ? I mean we could switch tokens/coins easily in their platform without any account and any traces back in the old days.
I really like it back then we don't need some account and just use it easily send your crypto and choose which one you want to receive .
977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could BTC ever be manipulated like Wall Street is? on: March 29, 2019, 07:01:18 PM
I think it could be possible because as we experience before the price could be moved by the whales and fake news FUD FOMO.
It is just a simple manipulation but people buy it they dump their crypto or buy some crypto when the influencer's tell them to .
The market is being manipulated and we are riding it we are also the one who is making things happen.
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops on: March 29, 2019, 06:27:22 PM
Right now I don't have any news about airdrop and selfdrop because I am not interested in it anymore ,
Besides most of the airdrops needs KYC and I don't want to hand out my personal information to some unknown persons or company .
I think that most of them are just a worthless token or coin in the future only a few of them would survive and base on my experience I still have so many airdrops token and self drops token that is still in my wallet because it doesn't have a value .
979  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Thoughts on the QuadrigaCX CEO suspicious death??? on: March 29, 2019, 05:43:12 PM
I think I've read that he has been diagnosed with some kind of disease. So him dying is not that unbelievable unless it was planned very long time before.

I also don't think that anyone could be this unprofessional, to be honest. Even If he was, the team and the board members agreeing to this make no sense.

I don't see how they are going to pull this off though, with the blockchain and the transparency coming with it, 190m vanishing without anyone knowing anything about it is impossible.
I think if the CEO is already ill and knows that he could be deceased any time soon he would leave the company to someone he trust.
Or at least let the company continue and leave the funds behind for his family and for the company to continue to operate .
Just think about it if you are in the business and you already knew that you are ill you would do something about it and what's the point of taking other peoples money if you are already dead?
Unless someone is using him or he is only faking his own death?
980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be a volatile investment tool and payment method at the same time? on: March 29, 2019, 05:21:12 PM
At some point in time I guess it will become either one thing or the other. It cannot stay both at the same time. Can it? Is it a healthy usage method to have it as both?
I think there are some place or country that has it already both.
They are using it for payment at the same time other people use it for investment .
There are already so many places that we could use our Bitcoin for payment method but the question here is are you willing to pay with your Bitcoin ?
