961  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Promising Cryptocurrencies to Invest in 2019 on: December 30, 2018, 07:47:44 PM
It is sensible to know which coins have the most solid investment fundamentals with the best chance of generating profit in the coming year. This piece will give an overview of the best cryptocurrency to invest in 2019.

Best cryptocurrencies to invest in 2019
I still prefer to hold ethereum,  ripple and bitcoin for now.  The market capitalization is high and the volume is OK for one to build confident on.  Another coin that I might invest in coming year is the stablecoin.  The personality behind this stablecoin has makes it to come the most search cryptocurrencies information on Google.  I believe this stablecoin is going to be great and if we desire to make profits in future it is good we invest in it.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is going to clean the garbage littered all over? on: December 30, 2018, 08:49:10 AM
If the market has been regulated we would have see all this things happen and that is why we need this market to be regulated and those garbage be block out. Most of the icos are scams projects and about 75% of the current tokens may not exist in the 2 years as many of them has been abandoned by the developers and some of the coins owners has not communicated to the investors for more than a year now.
963  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Facebook Coin? on: December 29, 2018, 01:11:00 PM
As reported yesterday by Bloomberg, the world's largest social network is developing its own crypto-currency. To be more specific, a stablecoin, which is a type of digital currency tied to a fiduciary currency, such as the dollar or the real. The company is far from launching the currency in the market, since it is still working on its strategy. By the way, Facebook's intention to work in the payments arena comes from hiring the former CEO of PayPal, David Marcus, in 2014. In all probability, cryptomoeda will allow users to make WhatsApp downloads. Convenient, is not it? Let's see how Mark does in this new venture ...
This is great and I hope this project intentions is actualized! Cryptocurrencies market need something like this and since mainstreams organizations like facebook is coming into cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology,  I do believe that the future is seriously very bright and we should rest assured that blockchain technology is here to stay with us.  I do believe that we should not get discouraged in promoting cryptocurrencies as this will go in a long of creating adoptions and acceptability.
964  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to crypto trading - Is now the time to get in? on: December 29, 2018, 09:39:21 AM
Hi all.  When the hype was at its peak about a year ago, clearly this attracted a lot of people.  I waited and watched.  Would love to hear views on if this is a good time to start looking at BTC and alts.

Also, have seen a few accounts that offer services (VIP signals etc).  Presumably some of these are better than others.... if so, what have been your experiences?  Thanks.
Investing into cryptocurrencies market is a very risky venture and you most be endeavour to understand how it works and indicatiors that move the market before you put in your hard earned money. havibg said this you should not invest because of what people are saying but you should invest because you have come into conclusions through your personal analysis that the market is about to be bullish. On your question of either now is the right time to invest, I can said yes!  However not all the coins are good for your investments right now and if you want to put in money into cryptocurrencies market now you should have a long term view in mind as it might takes another 2 years before we began to see another strong bull run.
965  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Fate of ICOs. on: December 29, 2018, 08:52:35 AM
As you all know that 90% of ICOs this year was a totally loss. most of all the tokens that hit the market are trading below price. some of catastrophic. some are trading below 90% to 95% of their list price. Majority of ICOs this days have has decided to run token sales on Exchanges. as the year comes to an End, Could there be another means of raising fund for tokens come 2019.?
The best ways to still rise money for projects still remains through icos and any other way might not work for now.  I believe that bank will not want to fund any projects base on what is happening in the market.  Traders are even avoiding buying and selling some of the coins.  Moreso,  governments or financial institutions will never want to put money in cryptocurrencies market and icos for now.
966  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money with bitcoin price dropping? on: December 28, 2018, 07:37:43 PM
I heard in stocks, this is called shorting.  But i read if you short, you could lose a huge amount of money.  Could you do this with bitcoin?  Example my thoughts were hey its the holidays, so most likely ppl will withdraw money and thus btc drops.  So i figure around now, btc price would drop.

In cryptocurrencies the market allowed you to covert your holding to either USD or gbp and that makes it not to be much different from stocks or forex trading.  When bitcoin is crashing, it means is been traded against something and if you really want to makes money then the best thing to do is to hold those USD against bitcoin.  If you are holding bitcoin and the price is going down you should covert it to USD or usdt and when it has gone down enough then you buy bitcoin back and by then your bitcoin increased and when bitcoin appropriate up again you then sell it to dollar.
967  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin’s Price Will Go Below $3,000, Anthony Pompliano Tells Mainstream Media on: December 28, 2018, 02:31:14 PM
Well, no one knows which direction Bitcoin price will go but Bitcoin price need a correction and this time it should be an uptrend one. Furthermore, I do not care if it go below $3,000 or above $4,000

Point is I am holding unless I need to spend them.
I think bitcoin is going to move up at the moment and few people are ready to sell below $3000 base on the two weeks ago trend.  The market is in the downward trend but if you see the market reaction when it falls to $3200 you can easily relate it to what happened in December last year as bitcoin hit $20,000 . That same day bitcoin lose over $2000 and that is around 20% of it current value and the same thing happened when it went down to $3200 there was a sharp recovery of around 20%. I think the bottom is here and we would do ourself good by investing now.
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [repeat] I AM HODLING on: December 28, 2018, 08:33:57 AM
Bitcoin took U-turn from $20k to $3.5k but who cares!
We are HODLING!!
In-fact when we have some spare fiats, we are buying some more!!!

Happy 5th anniversary "I AM HODLING"

May the HODLING force be with us  Smiley

PS: Good to see that GameKyuubi is still active (kind of).

I am holding too and may the God of bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies grant us more profits in some days to come. We are hoping that our patience will be rewarded by the market as it has been happening in other years . I remember when bitcoin when in 2013, many holders were latter rewarded and even over rewards.  I could remember that some of us were happy last year and the way the market was moving then but now cryptocurrencies market is down and now give that same opportunities for the new investors to also come in.
969  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holders should get out if bitcoin falls under $3200 says bear trader on: December 28, 2018, 08:09:31 AM
I am not a technical analysis expert, however, bitcoin would be oversold under $3200 and it would be the right time to buy than to sell, wouldn't it?

What is the basic rule of trading again? Buy low, sell high.

Recently, Mark Dow, a preeminent hedge fund manager and skilled chartist, took to Twitter on Tuesday to make an unexpected declaration. In a tweet seemingly poking fun at crypto’s zealous bulls, Dow wrote that he would be saying goodbye to his Bitcoin (BTC) short, which he purportedly opened during the asset’s peak in late-2017.

In a phone interview with Bloomberg, the ostensible Bitcoin bear made it clear that his tweet wasn’t made in jest, adding that he was “done” with the position. Speaking to the outlet, Dow explained that he doesn’t “want to try and ride this thing to zero,” potentially indicating that he sees some semblance of value in BTC. Equating his anti-BTC forecast to a lemon, he stated:

“I don’t want to try to squeeze more out of the lemon. I don’t want to think about it. It seemed like the right time.”
The current head of a Southern California family office then explained that he already took profits twice this year, making the covering of his controversial short more than logical, especially from a risk management standpoint.

Just a few weeks later, Dow has taken to Twitter again, this time to paint a bearish picture for BTC’s prospects, specifically from a technical analysis outlook. The American economist recently wrote that BTC’s chart remains “beautiful,” but noted that if the asset cannot breach the $5,000 or $6,000 prices levels in a bounce, “cyberbulls” will be in for a tough time.

I think the rule is right that is buying low and selling high and many expert has said the bottom is around $3000. Therefore,  we should trying and buy around that level as bitcoin might not go down beyond that level.  Remember that if you can follow the rules you will win the game and that means investing at the right time is what we need to do to really make money.
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With a booming on 2017 and difficult time on 2018, will Bitcoin recover on 2019? on: December 27, 2018, 07:41:59 PM
It’s safe to say that 2018 was the exact opposite of 2017 as far as the year-over-year cryptocurrency market price changes.

On Dec. 31, 2017, the top ten market capitalizations and the prices of each coin were vastly different than today.

So what's ur story with BTC on 2018?
https://www.reddit.com/r/jex/comments/a9muzd/whats_your_story_on_bitcoin_in_2018_as_2018_will/

I've read some ideas here and thought it was really a good time to do a review when 2018 will pass soon.

Moreover, will Bitcoin totally recover on 2019?
This is question that all of us has to find answers to it.  2019 , has been marked as a recovering year and I seriously believe what most of the expect are saying that bitcoin may not do well in 2019 but it is not going to do too bad too.  If you decided to invest now then you should be ready to hold for a very long time and that is you should be ready to hold above 2019. Remember investing is a very risky venture and you should not go into it without adequate investments knowledge.
971  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is BTC dead on: December 27, 2018, 02:17:24 PM
Simple explanation. There were few on the top, earned a lot of money, the rest were just losing it. The problem is, there will be no new investments. This is not stock market aka Tesla, FB...BTC do not produce any usability to anyone. It is just mere speculation.

Not to mention all the scams related to blockchain coins. From Tezos to Bankera and Centra, and we are talking about milions.

Btc will be replaced with coins like TUSD.

As I said, few gained fortune the majority lost most of the investment. I lost 10k eur. Not to kill myself but still a lot for an average Joe.

I think this is just the beginning and bitcoin is not mere speculations but and investment in something that is as real as money.  Remember that bitcoin has makes great breakthrough in the area of fund transfer,  assist in creating jobs and many of us here has become very wealthy.  However,  loses is part of investment and trading!  Some of us that have traded forex before can authoritatively tell you that 95% of the investors lose money in trading and only 5% make profits from the market!  Bitcoin is not different and that is why it is good you know how it works before investing.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: predictions of 2019 on: December 27, 2018, 01:31:46 PM
1. Surprise - Life goes on Smiley

2. Much more projects will die

3. New projects will start

4. It will be a year of crypto education

5. It will be a year of maturation

6. Delays of fully POS in Ethereum

7. Improvements in User Experience - Keep an eye out for (Elrond - work on exquisite user experience is being done)

8. Facebook in crypto?

9. ..... - You write your predictions
From the previous data I can predict that 2019 is going to be recovering and corrections years for all the cryptocurrencies.  Like you said many are going to died and new projects will be coming up,  I agree to these facts. If we are going to make money from the market like others has done in the past then now should be the best time to buy some of the coins that are fighting for survival.
It is really going to be a year of maturity and development.  Many of us that did not know much about the market are going to get more enlightenment about the market.
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum prices start pumping. on: December 27, 2018, 12:46:29 PM
Ethereum started pumping in the last few days. Today ETH touched $ 150 which was pumped 80% in the past few days. This is a good sign for Ethereum holders. Because I am an ETH holder, it is a pleasure for me. I have bought 10 ETH when 1 ETH = 0.07 BTC. So I'm waiting for the pump again. Which is better to save now ETH or BTC? Please give your opinion
Ethereum price has really started pumping and for us to join the next train we must start to invest now.  I seriously believe that next year is going to be great and if you really want to makes money and be among the cryptocurrencies millionaires in future I think now should be the right time for you to buy as the price is still very low.
974  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone doing arbitrage? on: December 27, 2018, 07:53:02 AM
Arbitrage trading is good but you have to learn how it works as other forms of trading.  Arbitrage also entails risk and you can lose all your investments if you did not know how it works like other trading.  Remember that it is few people that really make money from trading and that is those that are ready to develop their skills and knowledge about trading.  I recommended this sites for you as I have used them before and most of signal give over 10% profits in a single trade. https://arbiswap.com/cryptocurrency-arbitrage/

The bullish sign is an indication that 2019 is going to be a bullish year.  Investing into ethereum may be one of the Best decision you have made in 2018. The year is closed to an end and I do believe that the big investors and whales are waiting for January in other to push most of these coins upwards.  However,  remember that ethereum is recovering and since it is still low you can still have many quantity as you wish and become rich in 2019.
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now that your expectations were not met in December, What next? on: December 26, 2018, 01:13:10 PM
December has come and gone, many had high expectations especially newbies. What next? Don't you think it's time for proper education of how this space works instead of jumping on the band wagon? But while doing that do not FOMO if in the process bullrun  comes with speed.
Investments generally is a very risky venture and it is very difficult for one to really make money if you did not have knowledge on how this market work.  As people and investors are crying about the bad state of the market in December others and the professionals investors are taking the advantage to invest into bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies at the best price and time. Remember that the market is following a particular patterns and this pattern that we are seeing has appeared several times and that is why we should know the state of the market before investing.
977  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ‘Died’ 90 Times In 2018 on: December 26, 2018, 09:48:36 AM
The media houses will never want cryptocurrency market and bitcoin to became mainstream without making the own money by publishing fake articles and news about how bad the state of bitcoin is and how it could not survive the downward trend that it experienced through out 2018!
Bitcoin has died several times since it inception and many articles should be expected in future about the market.  I think in away there are also promoting the market and if we most be truthfull to ourselve, the best thing to do is to invest when we have done serious research on the market and we are sure that bitcoin is here to stay.
978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If most politicians know nothing about Bitcoin then how will they regulate it? on: December 26, 2018, 09:10:25 AM
The average politician probably has little or no understanding of cryptocurrencies. Some might understand the basic idea of a blockchain and its decentralized nature but the percentage of lawmakers who know the difference between a private key and a public key, the process of setting up cold storage wallets, or how multi-sig should be implemented securely is almost certainly very, very small.

So if cryptocurrency does become regulated and businesses like exchanges are forced to implement security practices such as having most of their funds in cold storage, then who will decide what regulations should be implemented and how? Surely, it won't be the politician.

Do you think they will attempt to have one of the Core devs on board or invite someone important in the cryptocurrency community like Vitalik, coblee, or Roger Ver (eek!) to write the regulations and then just take their word for it? What will they do if they decide not to participate? Heck, many (if not most) of those who are well-known and respected in the field are distrustful of governments and will probably refuse to participate since it could be seen as betraying the libertarian and anti-authoritarian ethos of the community.

Your thoughts?
of a truth politicians did not no much about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies market and those that has had of it believe that cryptocurrencies market should be regulated under gambling and lotey laws but Cryptocoins market is not gambling and bitcoin is not ponzi.
For cryptocurrencies market to become mainstream the politicians most be educated about it and for them to be educated about it the little one that knows about cryptocurrencies must educate there colleagues about it. Investing into cryptocurrencies market is investing into our financial future.
979  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Street is Backing Out of Crypto on: December 26, 2018, 08:37:40 AM
Instead of getting discouraged about what has happened I think we should be encourage. Investors are going to come back into the market again and by then many of traders at Wall Street and other big investors all over the world are going to come back into the market.
If over $700billion has been wipe off of cryptocurrencies market there is no way this will not discouraging big investors but what we should remember is that most of the financial assets that has made great impact has been one time pump and dump and we should be used to this type of financial system.
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to 800$ in JAN 2019? (after fork speculations) on: December 25, 2018, 06:29:44 PM
now ETH have good movements, 100% grows in 5 day.
and price is 160$. and ETH have fork on 7 080 000 block. what you think about prices after fork. becouse after fork, new ethereums will only 2 in 1 block. and i think in future will hard to earn eth.
Ethereum has done very well for the past few days and getting to January 2019 I believe that ethereum is going to grow and if we can buy now I do believe that it will hit $4000 to $500. The hardfork is really affecting the market and last week and this week we have seen great upwards movement.  Some speculators said ethereum will not touch $100 this year again when it fall to $78 in most of the popular exchange some weeks ago but ethereum went as high as $150 and it is still growing.  Remember that investing is risk and you should not put in money without adequate knowledge on how to invest and analyze Cryptocoins market.
