9621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto in infancy on: February 13, 2018, 09:25:45 AM
Cryptocurrency has transformed quite into a household name today, but despite it's renowned
popularity it still is a big question to some people and they find it hard to grasp and
fully appreciate. It needs awareness and exposure to people to show the potential capabilities
that cryptocurrency can offer. If governments accepts and regulates crypto, education
and other informative and helpful programs like symposiums and seminars will follow.
All it needs is cooperation, support and for the governments part a form of regulation.
It still is the next big thing and it will continue to innovate and prosper.
Good points. I do agree with the op that crypto is currently in its infancy and has a lot of room for growth. Take Bitcoin for example. It grew from a few cents all the way close to $21,000 which is phenomenal, but I still think this is just the beginning for Bitcoin since I believe it has the potential to touch $500,000 or above after couple of years.

Many popular altcoins like Ethereum and Litecoin are also undervalued at the moment and will continue to grow with time which is why I am HODLING these coins currently. Upcoming features like the integration of the lite Lightning network and mainstream adoption of segwit wallets etc will continue to drive the crypto market upwards.
9622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want a long term investment what s the best choice for now? on: February 12, 2018, 04:24:10 PM
I want a long term investment what s the best choice for now?
And thank you for ur help

Diversify your investment with wide portfolio variety

NEO
Ethereum

This 2 should always be one to invest for long term without a doubt.

Next, list of selection on my suggestion

DNT
KNC
RCN
LEND
CND
CDT

Always select coin with use cases
I like the lists which you suggested and I agree with your suggestions. Neo and Ethereum are great picks for both the short term and long term and I have personally invested big amounts into both of these coins and am expecting x10 returns from both these coins in the long term. On the other hand, I have invested into coins with huge potential like DNT and CND and am expecting to acquire x100 returns from both of these coins in the long term. Another coin which I suggest worth looking into is ETN(Electroneum) which is another game changer worth investing into at the moment.
9623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some of my friends still think Bitcoin is scam and Ponzi on: February 12, 2018, 10:03:34 AM
Show them the graph which indicates the price of BTC at the beginning of 2009 and show them the current price of BTC as of today or in the beginning of this year. Tell them there are pretty good chances that bitcoin will cross $25k this year. Tell them the benefits of using BTC as a currency and let them know how much profit others have made investing in Bitcoin. At last you must say them if not bitcoin there are 1500 other currencies as well which still have a bright future ahead. They will then know that cryptocurrencies are here to stay for long.
Good point. So many people fail to observe how bitcoin has rapidly risen in value ever since its inception way back in 2009. Something worth a couple of cents is worth thousands of dollars at the moment which is seriously insane and worth appreciating if you think about it. Coins like Bitconnect etc are some of the main reasons why many people shy away from the crypto world since they fail to observe the legit coins hidden among the plethora of scam coins out there. Bitcoin is here to stay and there is no need to convince anyone regarding this since its upto them if they wish to be a part of this revolution or not.
9624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves Sell Or Hodl? on: February 11, 2018, 02:44:07 PM
Waves is a coin that everybody should hold for a long time because they have a great concept like Ethereum and I think they could dominate the russian market in the next couple of years!
Even though waves have not done much in value, the devs are really working hard to make this project work which is what will give it that value anyway and not just some pump and dump project that at the end their prices cannot be sustained. I am sure if the OP knows what he needs to know about waves, he won't even be here confused. This is a good and solid project that one should have in their portfolio.

Waves is a good project and even though development has been a little bit slow, they still have something good going for them. A project like this usually last anyway, but at the end of it all, it depends on you. I am sure you bought for the long term, so if you feel you are selling at the price you know you are happy with, then you can go ahead, if not, just hold.
I agree with you completely. I liked the entire concept that waves was based on and liked how it operated on its own blockchain and am expecting moderate profits in the long term which is why I am not selling any of my coins currently. The speed at which the developers are developing this coin as you said is not so great and the slow growth of this coin is seriously disturbing, but I will not sell any of my coins since I still have faith in this coin and I believe that it still has a long way to go. I do hope that the developers stick to the roadmap and improve their pace though.
9625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you join airdrop? on: February 11, 2018, 02:37:24 PM
I join airdrops on a regular basis primarily through Airdropalert who carefully organize everything for us which is seriously awesome of them and I love how everything is easy to access through their website. Their exclusive airdrops have a high probability of becoming successful(Oyster Pearl airdrop recently helped me earn almost $10k recently by simply filling up a form which is crazy if you think about it) which is another big reason why I join airdrops on a regular basis since there is a chance to win a huge amount through airdrops by doing simple tasks now and then.
9626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do i sell my altcoins? on: February 11, 2018, 02:33:10 PM
Hello guys i got really lucky and some of my altcoins received from airdrops have gained value.I want to sell it at its market price.Where can i sell it at its best price?
Also i am confused as to hold or sell the coins. The coins which i possess are at its initial stages so will its value increase with time or should i sell it now.Two of the coins are REBL and EQL.

better hold it for now and wait for the comeback of bitcoin, you will gain more profit
I agree with you. Currently, the crypto market is recovering slowly and I am expecting a big rally soon which is why I advise everyone to HODL their coins and tokens for the long term to gain considerable profits(Most likely) in the long run since selling now would most probably fetch you small profits(Sell if you desperately need the cash though). I have received many coins from various airdrops and bounty campaigns which I am currently HODLING since I am sure that they will all rise up in value thanks to a huge rally by bitcoin in the upcoming months.
9627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between coins and tokens... on: February 11, 2018, 02:29:26 PM
Ethereum is a platform, with it’s own blockchain and Ethereum’s “coin” or better put currency is Ether. Ethereum is similar to Bitcoin in that Bitcoin also uses a blockchain data structure but has it’s own currency called Bitcoin.
A “token” by definition is a representation any fungible tradible good such as currency, loyalty points, gold certificates, in game items and more.

The idea of a token itself is niether exclusive to Ethereum nor any other platform. A token is really an abstraction. It represents that I own a underlying tradable asset.

Currently the Ethereum space is very hot with ICOs which are really token offerings. These tokens represent an exchange medium within the project. For example, Golem Project pays app developers who publish on the platform and CPU renters in GNT

Because GNT represents the internal medium of exchange in the golem project, people who want to participate in this ecosystem must have GNT.

If someone wants to buy GNT but only has ETH, they can offer to trade their currency ETH for my GNT at a price say 0.5ETH / GNT.

In a more real life example. You pay $2 at a pinball machine effectively exchanging your currency for 3 pin balls (tokens) to be used to play within the pinball game.
One of the best explanations that I have observed in a while for differentiating between a coin and a token in the crypto world. Initially, I admit that I was kind of confused regarding the difference between coins and tokens and never bothered to learn much about them until a while later. I learnt the difference between them through experienced members of this forum and I understood clearly that both coins and tokens may or may not be valuable, but coins are generally more valuable than tokens due to their separate blockchains and several other aspects which is why I tend to HODL both my coins and tokens for long term profits.
9628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Girls in the world of crypto currency on: February 10, 2018, 03:06:48 PM
I'm really worried if a woman is fully involved in the crypto world without a man to guide her.

What is your point? What kind of sick thinking style is that?

The world is not a good place because of the people who have this kind of idiot thoughts like yours.
Damn. I agree with you completely. This is some seriously messed up way of thinking. I believe that women can do anything than a man can do in an equal manner, but I do not like feminists since I am a guy myself. Why would race, religion, color etc have anything to do with the crypto world? One of the biggest advantages to bitcoin and the crypto world in general is the ability to stay anonymous while dealing with financial transactions where words like religion, race etc have no meaning which is why anyone(boy or girl) can be a part of this crypto world.
9629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins that disappointed you on: February 10, 2018, 02:59:27 PM
Equitrader, Safe Exchange Coin and SOMA. The first two projects are kinda shitty coins, but I invested a few amount to both of them... It turned out that they are just like a roller-coaster so I didn't make any profit by hodling them.
I do agree with what you said about Safex since I invested a small amount into this and was disappointed by the performance of this coin in both the short term and long term. Did not expect this at all and expected small profits in the long term at the very least, but ended up losing my money. Another coin which disappointed me was Funfair which looked like it might return x10 profits in the long term, but ended up returning no profit at all which was surprising. These 2 coins were the only coins that disappointed me in recent times.
9630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should you consider before investing in ICOs? on: February 10, 2018, 02:49:18 PM
Investing into ICO is quite difficult decision to make and in our opinion these are top 5 values you should consider before investing: Project idea, Technology, Team, Community, Investment potential.
What will you add to this list?

The factors that you stated are clearly important and what I primarily look at before choosing an ICO to invest into. As the earlier poster stated, I would add transparency of developers as another important factor. How developers communicate with members through various forms of social media like Telegram, Twitter, Reddit and Facebook is another big factor in determining whether an ICO is legit or not.

Telegram is one of the main sources of social media which I usually observe in this aspect. I usually look into all these factors before investing into any coin.
9631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty and Airdrop Suggestion on: February 10, 2018, 06:35:51 AM
This is a good point and privacy and anonymity are very important, but not everyone feels that way since most people joined the crypto world to only make a quick buck here and there and wouldn't care about privacy or anonymity. I suggest everyone to only fill out the KYC forms of the bounties and airdrops which seem completely legit in every aspect(Do your research to find out) which could potentially save you from losing any money(If you are investing). For example, the current Shipchain token airdrop seems legit based on my research which is why I will be filling up their KYC form.
9632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins from bitcoin? on: February 10, 2018, 06:32:07 AM
It's like comparing the exchange rate of a pair of euros and a dollar with the value of gold. Gold in this example is Fiat. If gold rises, then the euro and dollar exchange rate are lower relative to gold at the same time
Well said and I share your opinion here. It is quite obvious that altcoins are completely dependent on bitcoin in many aspects due to the widespread popularity of bitcoin etc, but bitcoin also is dependent on many altcoins in many ways. As altcoins like Ethereum, Litecoin etc become more and more popular, more users will start showing interest in bitcoin as well attracting more investors towards the crypto market which would obviously help increase the value of the crypto market at the end of the day. Legit altcoins like Ethereum are what matter here(Not the plethora of scam coins).
9633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 14 banks transact bitcoins on: February 09, 2018, 03:06:52 PM
I honestly don't care since I am not a huge fan of majority of the banks around the world which is one of the main reasons I liked Bitcoin in the first place due to its decentralized nature. Most banks only try to spread FUD for their own personal gains which is why I don't really care about news related to crypto related banking actions. This might actually be good news, but I don't completely trust banks which is why I am not sure whether more banks utilising Bitcoin would actually help the crypto market in the long run.
9634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung is going to support bitcoin on: February 09, 2018, 02:49:31 PM
Yes samsung very clearly support bitcoin by making a device to mine bitcoin, When I first heard the news I was really very surprised because samsung technology make a new breakthrough make bitcoin miner
this will be a future trend that will be liked in many layers of society, a good move and this will have a positive effect on bitcoin.
Because then all people will know the true use of Bitcoin and the benefits of bitcoin.
The government also will not be fooling the public anymore with negative news about bitcoin even I think the government will open a new bridge for bitcoin access.
You spoke my mind. This is a positive move which will help drive up the value of bitcoin in the long term and more companies will follow Samsung in this aspect due to the rising popularity of Bitcoin with time and I am pretty confident about this. I am honestly excited about the prospect of using a bitcoin miner designed by Samsung since Samsung is one of my favourite mobile companies and I feel they are reliable in every aspect. I am expecting companies like Apple and Microsoft to also provide support towards Bitcoin and the crypto market in the near future.
9635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin low on: February 09, 2018, 02:41:54 PM
I wish for it to happen to get rid of those who thinks they can easily be rich by joining crypto and now crying because it had gone down far enough and for for to even buy at lower price.  Grin

That's not what happening right now. sad life  Angry
I believe that the bitcoin will no longer fall but will continue to stabilize in the region from 7k-8k USD to March this year. At that time, the market will fluctuate in an uptrend because big investors from Asian markets return after Lunar New Year holiday and have bought enough crypto at very low prices, it is time to fill price to the end of the year. That is the law of the market in the past few years.
I partially agree with you. I do believe that many investors will return after New Year and invest heavily into the Crypto market driving up the prices in the short term as well as the long term, but I believe Bitcoin will reach 15k within a month and might touch 40k by the end of the year.

One of the primary reasons I feel this will happen is due to the integration of the Lightning Network into the blockchain which will help attract a huge number of investors increasing the overall value of Bitcoin which is why I am HODLING my coins at the moment.
9636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: king of all coins on: February 09, 2018, 06:18:21 AM
The king of alts is now, ETH ithink i think it will take the main position of BTC in near future.
I don’t think that etherium or litecoin will ever be able to cross the bitcoin, because of the hash algorithm. Presently bitcoin has the volume of 16 million which is circulating in the market, and it will go up-to 21 million. The moment the volume will reach the 21 million than the price of the bitcoin will keep on rising and it will be divided into many many fractions, so crossing it after that will be very difficult for other currencies.
You stated a valid point and I believe the reason you stated is simply one among many reasons why Bitcoin has, will and shall always be the king of the crypto world and no coin will ever come close to taking its position. The upcoming integration of the Lightning Network and mainstream adoption of segwit wallets coupled with the surging popularity of bitcoin around the world will simply help bitcoin to stick to its first position in the ranking table in the future. I see Ethereum, Ripple and Bitcoin Cash constantly fighting each other for the second position and the better coin among them is up for debate.
9637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does certain people called Bitcoin as bubble investment? on: February 09, 2018, 06:15:07 AM
real estate is a bubble investment
yes houses are real. they exist. they have utility and function.. but the price.. well thats the bubble

when a price increases not due to function. not due to cost of creation. but purely due to speculation... that is a bubble

saying something is in a bubble is not saying the item/asset is fake. its just saying its probably over priced because there is no good reason to explain the price compared to true value, and its likely that the price is gonna burst. and go down to a lower level that can be explained compared to true value

usually bubble is screamed out at the end of a bull(up) and about to go bear(down)
Well said. I see many people saying that bitcoin is in a bubble and might burst anytime which is partially true due to the extreme volatility of the crypto world, but I do not agree with the point that bitcoin and the crypto world will simply die once the bubble bursts. This market has already experienced many different bubble bursts from quite sometime(Recent burst was a big one) and always recovered no matter what which is why I do not feel this will scare away potential investors from investing into this market. Bitcoin will survive no matter what if you ask me.
9638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deep Onion sleeping giant?! on: February 08, 2018, 03:14:25 PM
Heard a lot about this coin in recent times and decided to check out the forum and observed that this coin had great community support and healthy number of developers supporting it which is why I invested small amount of money into this coin when it touched $3 recently. I do agree that there are way better anonymous coins out there like monero etc, but Deeponion does have potential and I might be able to earn healthy profits in the long term if the developers stick to the roadmap map consistently. Let's see what happens with this coin in the near future.
9639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO vs. Ethereum: NEO Price Forecast 2018 Staying Strong at $200 on: February 08, 2018, 03:05:27 PM
Do you really think that the crypto world is going to be wiped out soon? I do not agree with what you are saying at all in this aspect since I believe that Bitcoin and the Crypto world are here to stay and the current situation is simply an obstacle in the path of Bitcoin which is already being cleared out of the way. I do agree that NEO  has huge potential due to its amazing community support and excellent development team and it might reach a new plateau later on this year which is why I invested a small amount into this coin during the early stages itself and I am HODLING all the way.
9640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been scammed? or almost? on: February 08, 2018, 06:57:40 AM
i was scammed because i trust him/her to handle my token and 1eth to make some profit but he/she never pm me after that.
Are you serious? Why would you entrust your money to someone who you don't know much about? This is a noob mistake and I feel that most scammers look to prey on noobs like you in this forum which is why I advise everyone not to entrust your hard earned money to anyone that you cannot trust completely. Never ever give up your private keys to anyone apart from the people that you can trust and do not blindly fall for scams like the current twitter scam. Also, avoid downloading phishy wallets which could hijack your credentials as soon as they are opened.
