9621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I use Bitcoin ??? on: November 06, 2016, 04:21:17 PM
In this time most of the currencies are here,so why i use Bitcoin? what you feel the different between Bitcoin and the other currencies?
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, so in a way you feel more protected and at the some time more free when you use it. Bitcoin is growing in price, whereas other currencies don't. It is very promising considering the future, because paper money is so out of our informational age.
9622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: November 06, 2016, 04:17:19 PM
I've discovered Bitcoin few days ago, but I am skeptical about few things, why would I invest money in Bitcoins at the end of the day,why would I convert money into Bitcoins?

If I want to buy stocks or invest money I can easily invest with real $. Why would I convert my $ to bitcoins?
If I want to gamble , I can simply gamble on websites that require $ as currency, why would I convert it to bitcoins?
What's the difference between Bitcoins and dolars? What does bitcoin bring to the table that real $ don't, less taxes, more income?

Firstly, it brings less taxes, as far as I know, because you just pay 20 000 Satoshi per transaction. Secondly, Bitcoin is very promising, because its price is growing and the amount of Bitcoins is finite. Converting money into Bitcoins 'at the end of the day' might be extremely unprofitable, because Bitcoin will cost a lot more then. Finally, Bitcoin is not just a currency. It is a specific ideology of having a right to spend your money without someone's control and being independent of governments.
9623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: November 06, 2016, 04:13:04 PM
Gambling is not super wrong but the fact is that you just should not do it too much because it stays something that is risky and can get you in problems.
You just should do it sometimes for the enjoyment and nothing more.
I agree. Gambling is wrong in comparison with sport or education. And yet there are things much worse than that people can be addicted to. For example, drugs which obviously are not good for health at least and adrenaline seeking which is too dangerous.
9624  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who is the Founder of Bitcoin?! on: November 06, 2016, 04:10:29 PM
Is Satoshi Nakamoto really the founder of bitcoin? Then why he did not show in public? What do you think the reason maybe? He might be a billionaire by now if he showed his true identity in public.
I think he is a billionaire anyway. He/she has good reasons not to show up in public, because once you show up - some government would find a way for you to pay huge taxes, because what country doesn't want some extra hundreds of millions? And I think things can even get worse than that. Bitcoin might be illegal in your country, so then you might go to jail for creating it.
9625  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: November 06, 2016, 04:02:17 PM
To grow the adoption of bitcoin we need people spending it as a daily currency.
In my country there is not much I cant buy with bitcoins.
Granted not a lot of retailers accept BTC yet but with all the services available now they dont need to.
A bitcoin debit card can be very handy.

Nowadays if I need to pay a bill then I can pay any bill via a site called livingroomofsatoshi

Please list any reasons why you could not use bitcoin for day to day expenses and maybe we can find a way.

In my country there are some ways to buy and to sell btc but you will lose a lot on such operations. No official Bank or shop accepts Bitcoin, so you can't actually do anything with them. Bitcoin is not illegal, it is just not in the law. I think my country's government is not aware there is such a thing.
9626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe that win in gambling is depending on your luck ? on: November 06, 2016, 03:56:46 PM
How sad the so many people believe it is about luck. Come on, there is not really such a thing as luck. It is just something you create to explain why you lose. Winning is obviously about nothing more than mathematical probability and the problem of losing is connected to attemts to overcome this probability and win.
9627  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think will be a best time to buy bitcoin? on: November 06, 2016, 03:54:25 PM
As Bitcoin is around 700$ now, I don't think it will fall more than to 500$ anymore. So when it get's around this sum - it's the best time to buy. As for selling, I think Bitcoin is likely to be around 800$ soon and then stabilize arond 700$, so I think 800$ is the best to sell then. But are there many people who would like to buy BTC when it costs so much? I don't think so.
9628  Economy / Economics / Re: Paying taxes on forum? on: November 06, 2016, 03:51:20 PM
Oh, come on! Maybe, in very developed countries they should (but I don't think many people would do that) but as for most - I think they even can't. In my country we have a very strong burocratical system, so it would be to hard to do all the needed documents to give the government some taxes. Oh, and I think they won't accept them in Btc, so this is an additional problem.
9629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how much amount of bet you prefer? on: November 06, 2016, 03:48:40 PM
I think it doesn't make sense to name the sum but it is better to give some percentage. But which should we give? From monthly salary? Or from all the money we have? I am not a big gambler, fortunately, so for me it is fine to gamble around 0.01% of monthly salary, I think. Hope this sum won't increase with time. Undecided
9630  Other / Off-topic / Re: Average Age of Bitcoin users on: November 06, 2016, 03:45:57 PM
That's good to hear, though it isn't necessary for all ages to get involved with bitcoin. Would love to encourage them to join. Bitcoin does help everyone.
I think that many ages are already involved. I am 19 but people I know who use Bitcoin are around 50, actually, whereas many people of my age are aware of Bitcoin but never actually used them in the real life. Maybe it is because in my country you can't use Bitcoin for many things.. Only investments, I guess. And online shopping, of course.
9631  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: November 06, 2016, 03:42:22 PM
I recently paid for some local tacos using Bitcoin. My friend who was unfamilar with Bitcoin thought it was strange, like I technically didn't pay for them or something. We got into discussing Bitcoin and one of the questions he asked me was:
"Why would you want Bitcoins instead of cash?". For a second I didn't know what to say; then I thought about it and here is what I came up with. Feel free to contribute to this.

1) More security (especially if you are careful).

2) Bitcoins are a potential investment, cash is not. Paper currency only really goes down in value, Bitcoins have a lot of potential to be worth more as time goes on.

3) Fast, worldwide transactions at your fingertips.

4) Similar to #3, but it's a universal currency. It's legal in most countries of the world and you don't need any kind of currency conversion to send money to people in a different country than your own.
There are some places in the world where you can buy tacos using Bitcoin?  Shocked
That's amazing!
As for your list, well, I agree with 1,2 and would also ad that it is easy to earn it. Fast transactions? A lot of people say they are actually slow if we talk about situations where there are many people in the queue, for example. And Bitcoin is not legal in most of the countries. I think it is rather out of the law.
9632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What stops you from opening a local bitcoin exchange business? on: November 06, 2016, 03:37:32 PM
Well, there is one such place in my city already. And the business is cruel, so I don't want to get in trouble. And there aren't many people using Bitcoin here, so I don't think it is very profitable. Moreover, this will count as illegal business in my country, because Bitcoin is out of the law and you don't pay taxes. Oh, and I guess in my city those who use BTC are mostly drugdealers, so I don't really want to have some common things with them.

I know that posts in this thread don't.
9634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the future of online gambling? on: November 05, 2016, 12:00:41 PM
I think that it is quite doubtful whether Bitcoin can become the main currency to use in everyday life but it is very likely to become central for online casinos. Firstly, because it is easier when there is something universal for people from all countries to gamble. Secondly, bitcoin and casino have a few things in common. They are both mostly illegal or on indefinite law status and they both involve risk, because yu can win or lose in casino and BTC price can grow or go down.
9635  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: November 05, 2016, 11:57:23 AM
For true devotees of Bitcoin, the price of the digital currency is almost irrelevant. They believe in its inherent value or, more frequently, cannot see any value at all in the alternative of government issued fiat currency. Price is therefore not a concern. At the other end of the spectrum, for those that harbor what appears to be an irrational hatred of Bitcoin and anything to do with it, the exchange rate also matters little. They were screaming that it was all worthless when the price was at over $1000, and somehow convince themselves that an exchange rate of over 200 times what it was before that bubble proves their point. For the vast majority of people somewhere in the middle, however, the price of the currency in Dollar, Euro, Yuan or whatever terms is important.

Just like you said. "For true devotees" it might be almost irrelevant. But who are these people? If the price doesn't matter then they just keep BTC and don't use it to buy anything? Because if they do then they would still compare the BTC price with USD and it would matter whether it costs $200 or $300. For me price totally matters, because I use Bitcoin to pay for rent (I exchange it to local currency).
9636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's happening to bitcoin ? on: November 05, 2016, 11:53:05 AM
Before Cloud mining sites last long but now they are quickly turn into scam. This began After Halving how sad.
Is there no legimate investment site this days ?  Undecided  Undecided
Is that so? I am not into mining but I thought there were some official pools with guarantees and so on and that the problem is that you can't earn much there. As Bitcoin mining becomes harder with time, people want to find something which is still profitable. Thus they become trapped by those who offer them a lot and give nothing.
9637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling problem on: November 05, 2016, 11:48:04 AM
There are people who gamble to become rich and there are some people who gamble to get entertained. The problem comes when both the types of people get addicted and can't make up their mind to quit gambling. It becomes a part of their life that they can't live without. I don't know what to suggest to them. They should try harder to quit and have a disciplined approach to gambling.
I think that those who try to get rich are in a worse condition than those who just entertain themselves with Gambling. And yet both are addicted to it. I think they need to turn their energy on something else they might enjoy. Play football, for instance. And yet Gamling is not the worst thing and is in fact quite nice in comparison to adrenaline seekers, for example, because when you gamble you at least are not likely to get killed.
9638  Economy / Economics / Re: USD vs BTC on: November 05, 2016, 11:43:50 AM
No, bitcoin is no more popular than the US Dollar. We all already know that bitcoin is still popular and many people do not know bitcoin. In contrast to the US Dollar which greatly affect the price of other currencies. US Dollar is very well known to many people even around the world. US dollar is still more popular than the bitcoin.
I can't disagree with that. Certainly, Bitcoin is now less popular and, by the way, a lot less legal then dollar. However, we may say that it is potentially more popular then dollar if we believe that the era of bitcoin will come in the near future along with death of USD.
9639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I did not understand something with the Bitcoin on: November 05, 2016, 11:41:05 AM
Well, we are all aware that Bitcoin can suddenly drop the price. And yet I think that we just believe that it won't happen. Sometimes yo win and sometimes you lose. It is okay till there is this balance. Oh, and if you have around 1 BTC then it doesn't matter much, I guess, because you still have around $600.
9640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: November 05, 2016, 11:33:41 AM
Most of people answered that it is trading. But what is meant by the best source then? By mining you get some new Bitcoins. By gambling you may win some of already existing ones. By trading you may exchange something for Bitcoins. By working for Signature Campaigns you can get them as a salary. If we talk about the most profitable source then I would vote for Sig Campaigns, because you can't lose anything by working there. If we talk about big amounts, though, this won't help and you have to make investments or gamble.
