I think for this exact reason if the reserve post hasn't been edited within an hour then it should be reported and if the user continuously does this then they should be temp banned. It's the only way to stop this from happening. The posts that have been deleted should be more than enough as a warning.

The problem is not only the res post not edited.
In my opinion the most annoyng this is this one IN EVERY BOUNTY, (I've picked one random)

Reservations post with pics sometimes Huge and the need to scroll 2 pages to read something to skip 1 spam post
This one is a great example

All this when is crearly written from managers:
Quote

9642  Other / Meta / Re: Merit for helping on moderating the forum (?!) on: May 28, 2018, 09:56:36 PM
~
You two don't understand how the merit system works.  500 alts would have 0 sMerit to give away.  :/

I Know....

If I have not misunderstood in the Russian section, if I report a spammer with the "report to moderator" I have a chance to have a reward in Merit.
From here, if I create 500 alts to spam and report them with my main account, I will increase my chances of having Merit.

@eddie13, 500 is a symbolic number can be even 1, (but more is better for the newbie spam protection timer).

I like this idea because I personaly report many messagges but it easy exploitable.
I have no doubt about the goodness of the gesture of mod but I know the human tendency to turn the rules for a personal profit.
9643  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: [INFO] +MERIT. Come funziona il sistema di premio on: May 28, 2018, 09:21:31 PM

9644  Other / Meta / Re: Merit for helping on moderating the forum (?!) on: May 28, 2018, 09:16:13 PM
Merit is not a good moderating reward in my opinion cause people can make 500 alts and boost reports on the main account Roll Eyes
9645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum TO $400 AGAIN on: May 28, 2018, 07:50:22 PM
I think it will go up again soon around 1k, still under the all time high but it was a pumped market that one. I think is really hard it goes to 400.
9646  Other / Meta / Re: Almost automated managing of +60 social bounties at the same time? Tagging? on: May 28, 2018, 01:46:14 PM
Why not then make a new additional rank for example : Bounty Manager, like the Copper Member. So only those ranked ones will be allowed to post in the bounty section.
There should be a procedure to apply for such position, based on different criteria, maybe same as the Merit sources today.
This will reduce the fake and scam projects and the spam too. Of course it makes everything more centralized.
I guess is too much time and work implementing those changes, and it will be easier just to remove the bounty section but, it's all about compromises.

Now that we have the merit system just limit the section to members+ and copper members is already a great solution to avoid the mass spam abusing on bounties.

- No one has made it to Legendary
- 8 to Hero (from Sr. Member)
- 33 to Sr. Member (from Full Member)
- 21 to Full Member (from scratch; two more than on a list I found yesterday with older creation dates), and another additional 53 to Full Member (from Jr. Member)
- 1.614 to Member (starting from Jr. Member or below).

Can we have a full list till full members? I think we can skip the Members.

Some people are even on 200+ bounties, trust me!
Someone post even the number on the report, I think it can be a bot but never paid too much attention.

Yes, me too but basically are 5+ reports for every bounty in 1st page and is very boring.

What do you think about this pratice? A lot of users reserve trasnlations in a huge number of bounties even when they don't have a bounty translation! I find this aggressive pratice very irritating.

This is a great example

The bounty rewards will constitute 2% of TED tokens created. They will be split among the bounty members in each of the 5 campaigns listed below using the following system:

30% - Articles/Blogging
05% - Telegram
10% - Facebook
15% - Twitter
30% - Youtube
10% - Bicointalk Signature and Avatar

As you can see from the math 100% is reached and no translation bounty is required but if you look after

Also in many bounties the only thing that hunters can do to reserve the translation is complete the form BUT THEY post their fancy reservation everywhere for no reason, this is very arrogant in my opinion.
Do you think they deserve a punishment?

I can only say that means the system works. Abusers get caught, legit users are scarce. But that was to be expected.

I'm especially suspicious if people got exactly 100 or 250 merit in a few bit chunks, and then stopped receiving anything. That most likely means they traded to fill their exact needs.

Yes is working great but we (as forum in this cause, you DT members) need to be more strict to punish abusers.
Also maybe we need to add/change some sources? This month we have less sMerit distribuited than sMerit generated. Huh

If you want to be a merit source:

 1. Be a somewhat established member.

I am not clear about this point, for be a merit source there is need any rank requirement ? Like hero or legendary? Or any rank can be merit source?
What does actually mean established member's?
Sorry for that question. I am not clear that matter that's why I ask.

As far as I know any rank can ask for to be a source, we have no rank limitation BUT, until now the majority of sources are members with legendary rank.
I saw 2 sources with rank of full member.
