9647  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to make a webservice wallet? on: February 20, 2014, 03:42:57 PM
Hi,

I want to make an open-source html5/js wallet like blockchain.info's or coinpunk. I'm looking for pointers as to exactly where to start and what it really means to make a wallet.
I've done a few searches but the search engine is really bad and I haven't found good results.

I know there are already some that exist, but I want to do it as a challenge.

Oh nice Smiley good idea. You don't even know where to start and you want to build another blockchain.info Smiley

I think it is better for all of us if you will learn first, than start doing something and show what are your skills, and then if you don't know something you should try to ask.

Used PS3 is not expensive at all. Simply buy it > play Last of us > sell it. You won't lose much if any.

You know what ... this is not bad idea at all Cheesy

Really not bad! Smiley I think think about it ... Smiley I could even ask a good friend of mine, maybe I can borrow from him Cheesy

Need for Speed Porsche 2000- i was shocked when played it for the first time. I still have it on my laptop and play during long trips by buses or trains. Sometimes we play it through LAN in my workplace Cheesy.
I do not prefer online games but Borderlands, me and my friends spent many many hours with.

Indeed great game!

Borderlands is amazing! But I don't played it a lot. Somehow this game did not love me Cheesy

There is my story about The Need for Speed series.
I remember like yesterday a day when The Need For Speed 1 was released 1994.
"Road & Track Presents: The Need for Speed"

I was 10 years old,  and I had a PC with too slow configuration, and this game was running @ maybe 8 FPS Cheesy(frames per second)
So it was not possible to play ... but I was playing Cheesy .... struggling... because ... it was SO wonderful!
I remember that you could zoom - the screen Smiley to make + FPS, so I played it at such a small square Cheesy just to make it run a little bit faster...

My PC was : CPU 486DX4/100 8MB RAM GPU: S3 Trio+ HDD: 170MB Cheesy

And my brother was fixing a computer of his friend - much better PC than mine one ..
.
So when he did fix his computer I was in NEED to install Need for speed on his computer Cheesy

AND it was 1st time when I could play this game FULL SCREEN, HI details and fps was good enough to drive Smiley >24fps...

it was so fantastic!!!

From that day I did played each one of the The need for speed games!
I know all of them! I completed maybe 70% of them.

Need for speed is generally BEST racing game of my life!

Speculation. Not a bad read though.

Sure it is a speculation!
All talks about bitcoin future are speculations Cheesy

We cannot say nothing for sure. Isn't ? (for english mates: Innit? xD)

but author of this article did very good job as he did research informations and dig inside of them.

Smiley as you know.

Even if I don't agree with everything what he wrote, it was very interesting at all.

Cheers!
9654  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: What else can you do with mining hardware? on: February 20, 2014, 03:13:35 PM

You can't mine SHA-256 coins with GPUs, only Scrypt coins.

Scrypt coins hash in the kH/s or mH/s range.  Only ASICS hash in GH/s.

Thank you for a theoretical lesson Smiley I guess guys need it Smiley

Good day!
Cheers! Smiley

They could be used instead of a Raspberry PI though right?

So they are not completely useless to mining  Grin

not completely.
But how many of them you might need to build a rig? Smiley

a thousands?

No I meant the paralella board instead of a Raspberry PI to control your miners.

That should be possible since their are both Linux based, right?

Ah yes Smiley to control miners - indeed.

So there is some way to use them for mining Wink true..
