9681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin is Dead" - Mike Hearn on: January 15, 2016, 10:54:14 AM
Whenever I read some one is saying that Bitcoin is "dead", then it just shows that these people have no idea what they are talking about. Let the dude leave and work on shitty altcoin projects. The more people say Bitcoin is going to fail, the more I keep believing in its future. Something that grows to unseen levels has a lot enemies, and it shows....

Andreas tweeted out "I just found out that bitcoin failed. Oh well, I'll figure out something else to do." lol

I think any price drop was most likely other reasons and a few groups just try to get a buy back spot a little lower.

This isn't the first time we come close to very low $400. It's pure manipulation like always. Those who haven't bought yet because they were waiting for the price to come down a little more should do it now. Otherwise they will end up seeing the price go up while they haven't bought anything. Cheesy

The original bitcoin has failed, whatever bitcoin is becoming is not what it was envisioned by its creator, the original project Mike worked on is no longer.

Satoshi left and other people took over the project. It's not a surprise that it's not going in the exact direction that Satoshi had in mind. You have to deal with different people and all these people may disagree with each other on several important subjects, take the blocksize drama as example. I am happy to see where Bitcoin is standing right now, all these shills will attempt to disrupt things with their fud, but they will always lose.
9682  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go sub 400! on: January 15, 2016, 10:34:10 AM
Most important lesson in crypto, don't panic sell. Take the the low value as opportunity to buy some more bitcoins  Wink

People are weak, they will shit their pants when they see dumps as these. Normal traders see great opportunities to buy when the price is getting dumped to the ground, but others see it as a "confirmation" that Bitcoin will get down to $100-$200. Cheesy

No not that low the lowest what bitcoin can go for now is around the 350 dollars. Is just better to see in that price.
Going really down is just difficult to go up again and with halving coming is just better to see a 500 dollars with bitcoin.
True that for traders is nice to see a low price to trade, but for holders they will just panic.

There is a lot difference between holders. You have holders that just hold for a few months, and you have holders that will hold for years. Those who are holding for at least a few years don't panic because they are not planning to sell their coins any time soon. They look at the bigger picture. Holders that hold for a few months are the kind of people that do panic. They will most likely end up selling their coins. These people are not real holders to me.

9685  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lowest point of 2016 on: January 15, 2016, 10:07:39 AM
It will be sad if we reach indeed a new low of 2016, but I hope we will be able to maintain a price of at least $400 long enough to make us advance to $500's and higher. I hope the low of 2016 is the low that we reached today. Right now we are very close to the $400, one good dump is enough to make it go sub $400. Let's see what happens the comming 24 hours.
9686  Economy / Speculation / Re: I could see BTC going down to the lower 300's by the time of the halving on: January 15, 2016, 10:04:18 AM
Let's see if it goes below $400 first, if it does go below that level, then I can see an ultimate low of $370-$380. But I think we will be able to support the $400 level long enough to make the price advance to $420-$430 again. We have seen the price go down earlier to very low $400's, it was $404 to be precice, and then we went up again and reached $450+.
9687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who here has made a lot of money from bitcoin? on: January 14, 2016, 11:53:01 AM
By that, I mean at least $50000 usd minimum.  Of course that is not a lot if you are in a first world country and thus you aren't rich.

$50,000 not a lot in a first world country? I live in Northern Europe, and that kind of money is also a lot here. Do you have $50,000 lying around somewhere since it is not a lot?
9688  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: January 14, 2016, 10:41:55 AM
I'm not sure, but with the price of Bitcoin increases since the beginning 2016, 2016 might be the year of Bitcoin or not.
It was increasing but for 6-7 days now the price is deceasing maybe it is normal but i hope that the price will be increased again in next week. 2016 should be the year of bitcoin, halving is coming.

It is normal. Just look at the gains that we have realized in 2015. The price was sub $200 and reached a top of $500 and is now sitting somewhat stable at $430. Some people chase short term profits, and if the price doesn't go up fast enough, they get bored and start dumping in response to that.
9689  Economy / Speculation / Re: drop it like it's hot. on: January 14, 2016, 10:36:32 AM
Well its not drop it like its hot but its jumping like its duck.
The price is now increase this day and it will increase more day by day. The bitcoin price today is 440.4
Looks like its starting to increase above 440 i will wait for any changes soon..

$440?? It is still hovering around $430.
And looking at the graphs on coinmarketcap, this seems like a 7-week high.

The price is the same as 10 days ago. The bitcoin price is so stable recently. It is a good investment tool now.

Just because it became somewhat stable in the last days you find it a good investment? Bitcoin has always been a great investment, from day the first year to now. You just need to make sure you step in the right time to have the highest profit. Wink
9690  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade house for 1 bitcoin on: January 14, 2016, 10:31:17 AM
The average house costs here €150,000, and then you have a normal house. I can't see Bitcoin comming close to €100,000 per coin. That's why I say never.
9691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did anyone buy during $1200? on: January 14, 2016, 10:25:27 AM
is there anyone still holding the btc that they bought when it was 1200?

People that bought at $1200 can't do much other than holding and waiting/hoping the price will come close to that price again. I do however think that a good portion of these people that did buy at the $1200 peak, have sold on the way down to prevent even bigger losses. It costs time, but eventually we'll be on these +$1000 levels again. Keep holding.
9692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffet buying bitcoin? on: January 14, 2016, 09:50:44 AM
I don't think so as he is a very old fashion investor. Just look at his current investment portfolio. All investments are in long existing companies that he think he will get a stable return from. That's his investment style. It's an old man, he need to focus more on spending/enjoying his wealth instead of keeping working.
9693  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: January 13, 2016, 10:52:32 AM
Depends on your retirement idea, how much you are planing to spend, and of-course where you live. I think I'm old enough in that time. You don't need too much, may be 30 BTC($10k each) is enough for your retire life after 20 years.

Here where I live you will need a minimum of €2000 per month if you want to have OK retirment days. Let's say you will spend 20 years in your retirment period, that would mean 20 years x 12 months = 240 months x €2000 = €480,000. You would need 100BTC to be priced at €5000 to retire from. And then you have nothing special.

9696  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 will be a boring year for bitcoin on: January 13, 2016, 10:20:12 AM
Boring... No way.
But will it be profitable? Well that's the question.

Some expect the price to go up to 10.000k this year, others predict a price decrease to almost 250 dollar.

I am trading since early 2013 and so far each year has been more than profitable for me. If that is already the case for me, then it surely will be the case for high volume traders. It doesn't matter if the price goes up or down, there is always some good money to be made.

Those who think that Bitcoin will reach $10,000 are dreamers. Let them think and say whatever they want, no one is valuing these kind of insane predictions.
9697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 years i accumulated 10 btc, but now, i not have idea...suggestion? on: January 13, 2016, 09:48:38 AM
I have finished my mining investment, in 3 years i accumulated 10 btc, but now, i not have idea what make...suggestion?
I not need urgent to money then, i want invest yet, but where??
Price cloud mining is too high, difficulty hashing is too high (now 103,880,340,815.4560), gambling i'm not able, what do you make with mi bitcoin?

Gambling should be good though, not on dice sites but on sportsbook. it's not hard like dice sites, and you also can tail the experts on nitrogensports. or try invest on hyip but only play short-term.

What is this for shit advice!? It took him 3 years to collect his coins and you advise him to gamble his coins away? And even worse, you are even advising him to "invest" or better said LOSE his coins through an hyip. You are just a joke.

OP should keep all his precious coins safe in his offline wallet and hold them for a long period of time.
9698  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go sub 400! on: January 13, 2016, 09:35:48 AM
Panic is kicking in, prepare to dive below 400.

Looks like you are the only one who is in panic. Cheesy Others don't care whether the price is going down or not, they see opportunities to buy at these lower levels. Every current price is nothing more than a joke, and you know that.
9699  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Domain] BitcoinLoans.co on: January 13, 2016, 01:38:00 AM
0.1 BTC

You are not allowed to bid in any of my future auctions anymore since you have wasted a lot of my time.

The domain went to Dogedigital. It was a quick deal. Thanks.
9700  Economy / Speculation / Re: If btc-> $0 overnight, what will short + long term impact on altcoin prices be? on: January 12, 2016, 04:07:00 PM
If a certain technology is losing the battle, no matter how, then another technology will take over its place. It's that simple.
