9681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: November 02, 2016, 10:53:07 AM
No, i do not. Trading is never the same as gambling although many people have said that it is. Trading requires a lot of experience and skill which can help you to earn the profit. And you also need a tutor to guide you, help you and explain how trading work.
Having a tutor is great but most people are not going to be able to find one, what are they supposed to do? Give up trading? No they will have to learn on their own that is a lot more difficult but it is possible to do it.

I can consider that trading is also gambling in the way that you are taking a risk and every type of investments are just like gambling and you must be able to accept that fact that you need to take it.

And if you don't want to take a risk in trading then you must stop gambling too, because if you are going to keep on gambling, you can just trade easily.

This is wrong perspektif. trading can be a gambling if you do it without any plan or analysist, just random buy/sell. but otherwise, it's a dignified profession.

if you think trading as gambling why people on wall streets risking their life with gamble.

What you said is true, if anyone trade without any knowledge then it will be almost same as gambling. Even in wall street, many experienced traders lost money in trading so one should be very careful and watchful on prices if you're doing trading. Don't be too greedy and try to book your profits now and then to avoid sudden surprises.
It is in a way. Though the risk ia much lesser since you make calculated risks, you can still lose money over trading. And even experienced traders would agree that not all predictions would be fulfilled all theb time.
9682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao Vs Vargas on: November 02, 2016, 10:49:32 AM
I am surprised to see this match, i thought that Pacquiao already retired and want to focus on the senate, but for sure i am glad he is back, he was a great boxer, i expect a great match and i still think Pacquaio is better than Vargas, this match need a better promoter, only few people know about this match
And beside to well known filipino boxers will fight from this ring donaire and pacquiao just thinking why theres no big media exposure from this game as we all knew how pacman moves the press everytime he steps inside the ring hopefully both boxers from the philippines wins to raised another hype for our nation.

Donaire is not as good as he is before after his loss from Walters last 2014, he may have shown some good fights after that but this guy like Pacquiao is not getting any younger. Speed and power deteriorates as time goes by.

Not much press for this fight as HBO is not covering this one and not the usual MGM Grand but still in Vegas Thomas & Mack Center.

If theres anyone to blame here that there is not much publicity going on that is Bob Arum the promoter. He is playing safe here as he is not going full blast in spending for publicity as he knows he will not get that much PPV's compared to the old fights of Manny.
I think there's a difference between the last fights of manny pacquiao because after the fight of bradley which he won, he just announce his retirement and people have already accepted it, and since the odds are not too competitive for both, definitely it is just obvious that manny will win.

People will be excited again if there's a manny vs money fight rematch.

I am not surprised that this game is not popular just like Manny's fight with Bradley. It is because many are disappointed that many announces that he will retire after Bradley's fight. But instead of Manny to retire, Bradley is the one who retired. But I am going to put my support with my Manny I believe he can make this game end fast.

Yeah even if Pacman get's older he still have more skills techniques that he acquired all these years. I think he will still win in this fight. The match is not really that popular though but still there will be a millions or even billions of people who will watch this fight.
This fight would generate more money if there has been a good promotion that was done before the fight, like you said the fight is not that popular but still we are in the internet age and everything is easy to search. I believe Pacquiao will still win the fight as he know how to be a clever fighter, his advantage in speed and power is his great weapon here.
Well i didn't even know that the fight would be next week. Although i'm a pacquiao fan, i think him deciding to return is not a very good idea anymore. I'm not sure if he's going to get the same support he enjoyed in he past years. Although obviously he can still fight, people might not be that much interested
9683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you like slot games ? on: November 02, 2016, 10:44:33 AM

Yes I sometimes play games in online slots and I think it can be used for fun. But I never thought might be very exciting if playing slot games directly. But in my place no game like that and not allowed, so I just play online.
Well wenhave different views here when it comes to slots. Gambling is fun and exciting but for me slots are a bit boring. It's one of those gambling games that take up a lot of time just sitting and staring hoping for results that are pretty much random
9684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you budget gambler? on: November 02, 2016, 10:42:21 AM
Yes, I am a budget gambler. When I have extra btc in my wallet,
and I have extra btc to use for investment. I do play in gambling
site. Definitely, I spend my btc well, investment first, followed by
gambling. As a whole, I have a self control in playing gambling.
And that's really how it should be. I thinkbthe most important thing to remember when gambling is self control. Being a budget gambler would indicate that you can control your spendings.
9685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: November 02, 2016, 10:36:55 AM
Los Angeles Clippers vs Oklahoma City Thunder total points area looks good to throw some money over there for over 207 points @2.147. Although there is no consistency in scoring points but mostly are going over this range. I had picked this for me instead of going to be with any side strictly because it is hard to guess they are equal till now.
If I had to choose between the two teams, I will go with the more balanced LA Clippers. Those wins by OKC are over non-playoff teams. If the Clippers can somehow contain Russell Westbrook and limit his effectivity, I am sure they can win because they are playing pretty well themselves right now.
Yeah when it comes to balance, i think okc is relying too much on westbrook which should obviously be the point of lac's defense. I'm not sure though if anyone at this point would be able to contain russ with the way he's playing even if those are non playoff teams
9686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling worth to try for newbie? on: November 02, 2016, 10:29:21 AM
Everybody came from newbie, even the professional gambler.
No one became a professional in one thing before being a newbie.
newbie is where they came from, where we came from.

Nice thought. Obviously no one would be knowledgable in gambling with his first wager. And it's really worth itbif you think about it. Add it to your experiences. You probably will make mistakes and lose money but that will make you more knowledgeable on how gambling works and hopefully next time youbcan apply what you've learned
9687  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be international currency on: November 02, 2016, 10:22:33 AM
It is intermational currency since the begining, we can use it anywhere on the globe to buy something that accepts bitcoin as payment. Its making progress everyday.

Sure bitcoin has achieve those on the day more then one person from different countries has made a transaction between, but bitcoin isnt recognized as currencie from the countries, even when some big companies does accept already bitcoin, but lets give them time to follow and join crypto world.
Bitcoin is a currency every person accept it and every government accept it, the proof is that the governments does not charge any penalty for its use and they are neural for it the only thing due to which governments does not start it for their states is that bitcoin is not controllable by them.
Governments of the world may accept the existence of bitcoin but I think when we think of the word acceptance in the bitcoin community we are thinking on being able to spend or use or coins on a particular place so governments right now don’t accept bitcoins.

Once the government involved in bitcoins we will be expecting a lot of changes. Even if it's going to be good or not we must be ready for these changes. For now, let's enjoy the benefits of having a bitcoin.  Grin

Yeah we've all benefitted from bitcoin and i already consider it as an international currency as i've tried sending btc's to other countries. It may not be as widely used now as we'd like but definitely in time, it will be
9688  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: November 02, 2016, 10:16:37 AM
It's possible.. but someone must represent bitcoin and introduce it to the world and it would be a very hard job because there would be a lot of discussions, questions that needs to be answered and in the end all countries will decide if they're going to accept bitcoin as the world/global currency. I enjoyed bitcoin a lot for as long as I'm profiting money from it then that would be fine for me. Cheesy
We will go down to the lowest level in the community as we are only limited to transacting online. Do not expect that we can make all people adopt with bitcoin because only those who are educated with crypto currency will understand about bitcoin. Despite of the limited users, we can still call it as a global currency since it was accepted globally.
Which is the concept and the target success of this currency giving us another option and little by little we are now seeing the progress bitcoin is almost been used to most known country and adoption is really getting high from time to time,.
Yeah and the speed of btc's progress is quite promising. I think it already is an international currency but we also have to do our part in introducing bitcoin to others as the more bitcoin grows, thebmore benefits we will merit
9689  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: November 02, 2016, 10:10:15 AM
For me its not this two was in a different category of currency that is why this two can not compete its other bitcoin is decentralized currency and dollar is centralized currency, more people look this with the same currency which is not.
Bitcoin certainly cannot compete with dollar since dollar are more established than bitcoin and under the current situation we are solely relying in fiat and since dollar is the most powerful currency in the world IMO, it will represent fiat I believe.

As of the current time, bitcoin is very progressive as we can see  the recent price increase and actually still rising now but to think it will replace dollar soon is just something I did not think of.

Yeah i think most of us would agree to that dude. Although i think in the future, bitcoin has a chance to at least be an alternative, like how we use credit cards now. But to entirely replace it, i think not, well not in the next couple of decades that is
9690  Economy / Economics / Re: Soo, I'm planning on buying €1000 in bitcoins. Yes or no? on: November 02, 2016, 09:58:11 AM
Yes  €1000 is a lot of money, for me at least, but if you can afford it you should buy those BTCs as soon as possible. I'm not saying that you will profit big time soon, but if also you can afford to wait several years you might profit big, yes.

Yes and if you want to make higher profits then you need to hold them for a very long time but if you are satisfied with quick and small profits then try to take advantage from each and every fluctuation that you come across as that's the better way to make profits instead of holding them too long.

Yeah but with that big amount i think it's best to purchase btc now and then hold on to it.  Btc is continually rising and i think you'll be one happy guy when the time comes that you can let go of it already
9691  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: November 02, 2016, 09:55:15 AM
Of course i believe in fiat because it's the one I'm using to buy my necessities. I buy food, clothing, and pay bills through fiat currency. Bitcoins is now changing the world's traditional trade and industry but I still believe in fiat for it is still the one that is being used by the majority of people.
Yes indeed fiat it is appropriate to be used for the payment directly because it is easier and faster when dealing with fiat. I myself still trust fiat as currency because fiat will never disappear. Fiat also includes the identity of a country's economy is very important so that the function fiat.
No one in this world will live without fiat so it simply said that we believe in fiat. All of the expenses required us to pay in fiat and even by using bitcoin we still need fiat to buy and sell it. We can only use our bitcoin in a limited way in the internet and I believe fiat and bitcoin is good way to fast track our transaction in life.

Yeah all of us would agree about the importance of fiat in our daily lives. Everything we do financially pretty much revolves around fiat. Bitcoin is a good alternative although right now fiat is still a necessity and we can't do without it for now
9692  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: November 02, 2016, 09:50:10 AM
You can try bitcoin cloud mining, but unfortunately there are a lot of scam mining sites. Or you can invest through Blockchain in their first page ads. But for me, I only invest and save bitcoin and will sell after price more than $1000
Let me just rephrase that to "all of them are scam sites." Investing in cloud mining sites will only lead to loss. I don't recommend it. It will take a lot of time before you can get your ROI and surely they already have ran away even before you get your ROI. Investing and saving your bitcoins isn't a "steady" income at all. That's just waiting. It's like when you time deposit your money in the bank, just with higher profits. I think if you're looking for a steady income, you should actively do work and don't just put your money as an investment and then wait for it to grow.
You're so right about the cloud mining sites but I don't understand you're trying to say when you said "put your money as an investment and then wait for it to grow". Does that mean you recommend investing through Blockchain as said by LegendOF45?

Yeah cloud mining is not advisable. Investing is also not steady as you would have to wait for quite some time for your money to grow. If you're unlucky enough, you may not even get your investments back.
9693  Economy / Economics / Re: How good are you at managing your money on: November 02, 2016, 09:46:14 AM
I am not an expert in managing my money, but I always invest whenever I have enough funds. So I can pay for things I want and want to do. Also, I always try to use credit as to extend the time before I need to pay for anything.

What is important is you will be able to learn, we are not born as expect but along the way with our experience in life we were able to learn from it if we are focus with our goal to manage money. Actually it's one of the important things that one should know as regardless of your standing in life one should know how to manage their money.
Indeed. You certainly will make mistakes and those mistakes with how you spend would be a lesson for you so you can handle money more responsibly in the future. In the past i've made a lot of blunders of spending on things i don't need and it definitely affected my next expenses. So we should just learn from those mistakes
9694  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: November 02, 2016, 09:41:40 AM
~snipped~
Let's take a look , this thread was made by 2015 (and It was 1 year ago) .  So , it's nearly impossible for Bitcoin dump to $100/BTC .
Seems the price going to be wild right now , and you can buy bitcoin now (for hope the price still rising) or earn from the free way instead.

Unless there are big news happen from Bitcoin (like Bitfinex hacked a while ago) .

Well, still crossing my fingers here. Although it may be possible to reach that high or more we won't know until it happens. I'm holding on to my btc's probably until jan or feb next year :p
9695  Economy / Economics / Re: Paying taxes on forum? on: November 02, 2016, 09:38:53 AM
I think its called miners fee not taxes

That's wrong. what you mean is the transaction fees. Upon the transaction made the fees will be credited to the miners who were the key role for bitcoin generation. Tax doesn't need to be paid to the forum or government because our transaction will be traced but users can't be identified.

Yeah you're it defeats the anonymity bitcoin provides. Its normal to have transaction fees although i don't think bitcoin forums can actually be taxed. It going to take the governments a lot to figure that out
9696  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Italy earthquake : 6.6 Magnitude on: November 01, 2016, 12:51:39 PM
Seen this on tv and there are buildings which collapse and flattened but it seems there are less casualty from the report, I do not know the updates if how many are dead. Praying that all is fine and safe.

Yeah me too. I can imagine the fear the people are experiencing there right now. I hope the casualties won't be that high Sad
9697  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poll:Do you fear? (list inside) on: November 01, 2016, 12:47:56 PM
Do you fear?

GMO food
food additives Exxx (e.g sodium glutamate)
microwave ovens
mobile telephone
medicaments
vaccinations

if you fear something from the list
explain in the topic

Well as long as these are being used correctly and regulated, i don't think there's anything to fear. Most of these on the list actually have good effects if you think about it. Regulation i think is they key here
9698  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you hate muslems? on: November 01, 2016, 12:42:53 PM
we can't hate someone because of his/her religion. we can't judge someone is bad from their religion. The bad people came from everywhere, every religion. Also the good people came from everywher and every religion. If someone have a bad attitude, don''t see what is his religion. but see how he live his daily life.
Your right dude ,religion is not a based on how we will treat other people ,religion is only their belief what they believe some of us not we think and saw some of their actions are bad or good but we don't have any comparison if it is on their religion as long as it is not in the law we can't call it bad and not all bad people on their religion will be the all of them.
Exactly. I think that's the peoblem right now. People judging people by their beliefs and religion. It seems that what we need is to simply respect other people no matter what their culture or their beliefs are.
9699  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will AI make humans extinct? on: November 01, 2016, 12:22:43 PM
It will all depend how humans will coexist with the artificial intelligence. There have been predictions that robots will run the world as soon as 2025 and there is no doubt that they will be equally smart, or even smarter than humans. One example that I can think of is IBM's Watson competing on Jeopardy and defeating the smartest Jeopardy champions with ease. In chess, the computers are beating super grandmasters easily, and can memorize millions of moves and positions in seconds.

Co-exist? With all the crashes and wars that are coming, there won't be any AI by 2040.

Cool
Maybe the thing you saying is possible but there's a possibility that there is an AI by 2040. We can't say for sure what will happen at that time because there is still 24 year gap from 2040 to 2016. By that remaining years unimaginable things might happen or might be invented by that time. In my opinion though, AI will not make humans extinct because humans made AI, and humans can make a counter measure against them.
I dont think so. As scary as it may seem, i think humans still would be the dominant specie for a very long time. Although ai may push technology to new heights, i think humans would still be in control
9700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: November 01, 2016, 12:18:48 PM
Maybe if I buy 1 BTC, I will use some to gamble (but in small quantities), some investments (such as trade), some I hold in my bitcoin wallet. Maybe it will get to be a big advantage, and by doing that I could manage spending bitcoin so that the expenditure was not enlarged and revenues continue to exist.

That is a very great idea. I did that too. I put like 90% of my fund into casino investment so at time i may earn like a bit of bitcoin and i use it to gamble or keep it there. So basically, i am using free money and there is no harm even when i end up losing.
yes that is a good idea that you have invested your money in casino, and you do not give preference to gambling, but it s also good only in such area where casinos are legal, but in such area where casinos are not legal you cannot take such a big risk to invest your 90% investment.

Yeah i also think 90% is quite too big of an investment already and it is upsbthe risk also. But it's good that you have a plan with your money as good things start from there
