9681  Economy / Economics / Re: China-Africa Cooperation and Lack of National Ideology of African Leaders on: September 22, 2018, 10:33:46 AM
The Chinese government are  so much interested in the vast natural resources abound in Africa thus capitalized on the lack of ideology of those African leaders, the Chinese believed the resources that could project them to a leading world power is in abundance in Africa that is why they are collaborating with the African leaders to actualize there aims and ambitions while promising to develop Africa

Are you saying that Chinese will also milk them up to the last resources? I haven't witnessed China did this to any other country except perhaps in the local Asian region. Remember that this have this on-going
territorial disputes in the South China Sea. So them moving to Africa might be an indication that they are slowly building up something that can rival US or Russia for being the most powerful and influential country in the world. African nations should be wary of any help being extended to them. They should really learn their lessons not to trust anyone but themselves. They won't grow if they kept on believing that those nations will help them for nothing. There must be something that China see in them that they can exploited big time.
9682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Delays Bitcoin ETF Despite 1,400 Public Comments in Favor on: September 22, 2018, 10:11:19 AM
everyday there is increasing positivity about the SEC confirming and approving the btc even though they are purposely delaying and slowing down things but i am cionfident it will be approved and bull season, wil return confidence will return to the community and  more investors will return. i am postive. crypto is here to stay.

Of course crypto is here to say, with or without this so-called ETFs. Yes it can do wonders there is a consensus that an approval meant influx of fresh cash to the market to start the bull run. However, I'm leaning towards a rejection because the market has been and will be prone to manipulation by whales and this is the foremost reason why SEC has rejected the first 9 ETF's proposal prior to the Van Eck/Solid X Bitcoin ETF proposal. So I'm not surprised that SEC has postponed it. And there will be a time that no one will care about these ETF anyways because we all know that there's a chance that it will harm the market in the long run.
9683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: September 21, 2018, 11:10:29 PM
There's a video circulating the net about this two boxers where allegedly the fighters met in Tokyo Japan for a concert and Mayweather started thrash talking Pacquiao and you can hear on the video Mayweather saying he will come out of retirement this coming December 2018 to fight Pacquiao for the 2nd time. Mayweather comes out as an early favorite for this match.
At this point, after the McGregor match, I have really lost my interests in betting or predicting any matches when Mayweather is involved. Maybe it's a personal hate but I just don't like the way he presents himself. I hope Pac beats the shit out of him. Like always, lot of money will be involved and maybe Pac will be paid more th lose.

Yeah, Mayweather has that persona. And I think he play it very well. He puts fans and detractors on his fight because the love to see him lose, unfortunately he is still undefeated and no one can take that away from him. I don't think that Pac will get he lion share in this fight, Mayweather is stil the A-side but for sure Pac will also get a lot of money here.
9684  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My luck is very bad for crypto trading 😞 on: September 21, 2018, 10:50:12 PM
I think my luck is very bad. I can not earn good profits on cryptocurrency trading any day. An example of this is Doge coin. I invested in Doge coin probably 2 months ago. Which I bought 39 satoshi and bought a total of 126000 doge coins. It was almost 2-3 weeks, I did not check the price. But when I check price on coinmarketcap a few days ago, see Doge coin 100 satoshi cross. After that I was very happy. But when I login into exchange, for selling Doge coin, I was shocked, seeing that my coins were sold in 49 satoshi. I did not remember when I had a sell order. After seeing that I was upset. That was not the first time, before several times, I could not sell many coins at a good price 😞

Luck has nothing to do with it. And besides, it look like you have profited already why are you mad? Sometimes its boils down to timing, and a good advise is to have your entry and exit plan in place. If you set that in motion, specially the exit plan, you should have made a profit, but at the end of the day a profit is still a profit so you don't have to feel mad or something.

But finally, an education has realized that if you buy a coin for long or short time, then you should check price minimum one time every day.

Let that be a lesson learned for you, at least check the price and see if you hit your exit plan then all you have to do is push the sell button.
9685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 229: Khabib vs McGregor Prediction and Info Thread on: September 21, 2018, 10:14:31 PM
Nice. Every fight fans has been waiting for this fight to happen in ages. And they're going at it for years now. I'm leaning towards Khabib here, overall he has the tools specially his wrestling and grappling. Its going to be entertaining fight so let's see how Conor prepare for this one, as we all know that Khabib is a different animal specially if he control Conor on the ground for the duration of the fight.
9686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using Cryptocurrency for Dark Web on: September 21, 2018, 09:57:03 PM
This got me thinking, I know it is probably possible to use crypto for dark web, but if this is how it is going to be, don't you think that this will make bitcoins and other altcoins dangerous? Can a person really use cryptocurrency for Dark Web?

PS: I am not planning to use cryptocurrency for dark web, I am simply asking if it is indeed possible and its dangers.

Bitcoin has been used in dark web, just go and search about the Silk Road history and its imminent collapse and you will understand how they take advantage of crypto, but if anyone argues that bitcoin is bad then think again, fiat has been worst. Prior to bitcoin, its been the widely choice of criminals and terrorist to finance themselves. You may want to read Silk road and Bitcointalk. How it played a role in its rise and fall.
9687  Economy / Marketplace / Re: For god's sake, stop lestening to mainstream Media and wake up people... !! on: September 20, 2018, 11:21:00 PM
Basically, if MSM tells you that crypto is a bubble and a scam - think opposite.
But still keep ya head cool and be reasonable, lest you want to "invest" in some bitconnect-like stuff.

Do you mean MSN? Yeah that media site is not to be trusted and everytime they open their mouths the exact opposite happen to bitcoin market. I guess everyone should use our common sense because crypto journalism is one of the worst we have seen. Those media doesn't care if its fake news or not as long as they are getting a steady flow of revenue. You can also see that there is no consensus in the cryptocurrency community when it comes to journalistic standards.
9688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: September 20, 2018, 10:24:57 PM
Mayweather has nothing to prove, he’s far from my favourite fighter but he retired unbeaten, even came out of retirement to teach McGregor a lesson but why doesn’t he just enjoy retirement now? What’s the point in fighting Pacquiao again? All I can think is he just wants another big pay day, maybe he’s spent too much money or something.

He is far from the boxers or fighters that we knew in the past since Mayweather don't face his opponents head on but he uses his knowledge and yes some taunts to get in their heads. It is more of a strategy than a plan to defeat an enemy. I guess he has still his reasons to fight Manny Pacquiao, the fans, the people who are upset to the results of the fight. It is not just about the money and with the recent win of Manny Pacquiao to Lucas Martin Matthysse, that will really build up another heat to any of his past opponents.

I don't think Mayweather cares too much about pleasing the fans, that's just part of his stage persona. He is Floyd "Money" Mayweather after all, his primary focus is in his name. His record is pretty much the best in history right now, and there is nothing to gain record-wise from beating Pacquiao again other than money.
Exactly! he and his money team is care about money for this fight! i think this fight will become Trilogy! the second fight pacquiao will become the winner. and they will be rematch again for 3rd match for sure! is bussines!

No, there will be no trilogy here, Mayweather won't risk his 0 to be taken by Pacquiao. They will just play it out and just go as much money they can get before both of them retires. I have been calling that Mayweather won't fight Conor, but because of the huge amount of money involved, he went out of his retirement and probably laughing his ass to anyone that thinks Conor has a chance against him., its a circus act. So its just the same, its business now and not for who is the best fighter argument.
9689  Economy / Speculation / Re: Etf decision on: September 20, 2018, 09:49:22 PM
Gentleman,

Any ideas the time of the sec decision on etf approval for direxion tomorrow ? Approval or rejection ?
I'm on the side of rejection

Lmao, are you expecting that they are going to be approved?

Its likely to be rejected anyways, The main reason is that the market is really prone to manipulation and that is the first indication that SEC is looking for. So I doubt that ETF's will be approve anyways. Everyone is really waiting for the Van Eck/Solid X Bitcoin ETF proposal, others say it will make or break this market. On the positive note, if SEC decided to approved then institutional money will flow, big influx of money coming in, but a rejection will put a big dent on the price again. So lets see. But with or without ETF though, bitcoin market will exist in the next decade or so.
9690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was 50 Cent ever a crypto millionaire? on: September 20, 2018, 09:08:45 PM
50 Cent is just an image, record labels set him up with nice cards, suits and events that demonstrate wealth, but in reality he is in severe debt. This is a lot more common that people actually think, I have heard about celebrities faking it until they make it for a long time, but it actually turns out to be true, particularly for rappers.

This is also what I read, although he is one of those few early adopters in the music industry, there are certain reports that he is on the brink on bankruptcy so we really know what's the truth behind the story.

About a few weeks ago, eminem includes "bitcoin" on his lyrics and everyone was elated to see that bitcoin is somewhat going mainstream but I doubt it will bring crypto closer to the masses. If 50 made a lot of money thru his early investment on bitcoin, then good for him, but I wouldn't be surprised if his on the brink of financial disaster as we all know that those kind of celebrities do spend a lot of their money on something that has no value but just to show image that they have tons of money, how ironic.
9691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: September 20, 2018, 08:33:59 PM
Why do you think that he didn't mention Lakers?

He ain't going to Lakers, i mean he still can be traded, but will not commit to sign a long term deal. Yesterday, i read some of these "league source tell'' reports that he was initially interested in Lakers but that was before LeBron joining the team. I guess not everyone is super-hyped to play with passive-aggressive drama queen.

I agree, I'm sure that he doesn't want to play under the shadow of James. We know that he is a great player, but his more of a diva type, he always want to be the alpha or franchise player but he hasn't deliver anything to merit this supposed to be superstar status.

The obvious choice would be Knicks, but they don't have much except for Kevin Knox and Hardaway Jr.
Don't discard Jerry West though..

Obviously, Knicks will be a good option if he really wanted to the the face of the team. He can demand more as Knicks is hungry for for a player that can bring back some glory days and put fans to watch their every game.
9692  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening to Bitcoin? on: September 19, 2018, 08:01:13 PM
Today we have saw 2 type Bitcoin movements! Firstly Bitcoin price has fallen with quickly to 6100$. And then everything is changed and jump to 6500$ with speed. What is going on with BTC?

That's why you call price fluctuations. I'm sure that this is not the first time that we have witnessed this trend, Also if you go around the forum, there is this theory that investors won't let bitcoin go below $6K because its like the cost for miners to continue do their thing. If he price goes below, there's no more incentive for them to mine. Or perhaps someone is setting a bull trap again, especially for noobs and casuals traders out there so be careful. I'm not totally sold of bitcoin getting into a bull run zone.
9693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: September 19, 2018, 07:09:37 PM
If this fight happens, I believe this is time Mayweather will loose badly. The match 3 years ago got a lot of hype, and many people did not agree with the unanimous decision. And people taught Pacquiao was just there to make some money (i think he was sort of into politics then) regardless if he lost. Right he will be coming to knock Mayweather out and take that belt.
I believe so.Pacquiao already confirmed that this will definitely happen but they are still finalizing the date and venue.I think this will be a good turn for Pacquiao to win the fight and take back the belt that was first given to Mayweather. If this happens,Mayweather will retire as a loser one.

I agree that Manny was impressive against Lucas Mattysse. But I don't think that its a good indication that he can still beat Mayweather at this point. He already slowed a lot and we can say that he is already close to being a shot fighter. Both of them are in their 40's or close to, There's no more hype about this (potential) rematch and it can't even go close to the PPV records they have put in their first fight. I love Manny but this is all for the big money and not revenge, just saying.
9694  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: KYC Compliance for Bitcoin on: September 19, 2018, 06:46:37 PM
Although KYC is really important for Bitcoin users but i have observed that there is no strict guidelines on how it will be implemented. Just requiring to submit an government ID's for those who did not travel is just a piece of cake for the illegal people. How can be the KYC receiver will so sure that the ID submitted are all genuine including the owners as we will just send a scan of soft copy of it? Therefore this KYC is still useless and need more improvement to fully serve its purpose.

I also don't like the idea of submitting your personal information for the sake of complying with KYC procedures. I'm even hesitant to submit it to exchanges. But the question is can KYC/AML really bring adoption that we all have been waiting for a long time? Sort of giving crypto legitimacy in the face of governments around the world? I don't think so. It can even bring more harm to us if personal data is not taken care of the party involved. Look at Shapeshift, they are not getting a lot of backlash because they are requiring crypto enthusiast to submit verifications. Not good for their business operations and at the same time, crypto lovers are not comfortable submitting their sensitive information like scan passports or government ID.
9695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taking a break from gambling on: September 19, 2018, 06:27:31 PM
I also went on another hiatus and tone down my gambling activity. Its been on/off ride for me though, There are weeks that I can fully control and not to go to gambling sites and traditional casinos, but there's always that tendency in me to go back again after I finished my priorities. So its really hard to just quit specially at times when you wanted to stop but then again you luck strike and you wanted to play more. Getting addicted to roulette again.  Grin
9696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the hype starting? on: September 16, 2018, 09:35:20 AM
Its really too early to call if the hype has started or starting already. Remember just a couple of weeks ago, we are above $7300 and everyone was elated to see the price being bump from $6300. However, in an instant all the hard work we done was thrown in the garbage because the price retreated back to $6K'ish. Remember the hype will go prior to SEC decision's  up to the end of the month, so as much as there is a hype, it can quickly go South once the decision is handled down (rejection most likely).
9697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins and Money Orders on: September 16, 2018, 08:41:20 AM
One of the biggest barriers to getting into bitcoins is the tedious process of going through several payment processors to actually get the bitcoins... Besides cash itself, the other alternative I can see would be money orders where you know that you can cash it without having to worry about check fraud and waiting for it to clear.

So, why don't more exchanges have this as an option?

I mean this is how bitcoin is design, no third party so the scenario you pictured is already happening. And this is the back bone of exchanges, so no need to offer this as options or something. I lived in a country wherein its easy to convert bitcoin to fiat, so problem solved. But I agree that bitcoin can be used as cross border payments specially in the Asian region and most countries in Africa. Imagine just one country in Asia which remittances amounted to billions of USD, crypto is truly one amazing invention.
9698  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crashing' Bitcoin Predictions on: September 16, 2018, 08:15:22 AM
no, you can not come up with any predictions at this point. filling it with ifs and butts and mights is not going to change that. you are making a guess not a prediction. at this point we are at the bottom for a long time, there is no trend, neither bear nor bull because there haven't been any drops or rises for a couple of months now and drawing lines on the chart is not going to change that!
we are currently in an stable/sideways trend where price is going up AND down and day traders are enjoying the short term profits while everyone else is waiting on the sidelines to see what will happen before jumping in.

Exactly, the same pattern we have seen prior  to the rush at $7300, trading sideways with no clear direction (bullish/bearish), but suddenly we went on another break out run to $7300 but the Goldman&Sachs plus the wallet connected to Mt. Gox or Silk Road went on a move pulling the price to $6300-$6500 for the nth time. So we need to wait again as to who are going to win this battle bears to pull the price or the bulls to make the price grow. I'm sure that day traders are very happy with this rampant price fluctuations, easy for they to profit 1%-5% daily. As for those who are waiting, we can't blame them as most of them got burned already.
9699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo vs. GGG 2 Discussion Thread, WHO YOU GOT? on: September 16, 2018, 07:44:23 AM
Damn, I lost my bet, actually I was updating this thread with some of the results but I deleted it and waited for the main event. However, I feel always and wasn't able to watch it so I can't comment. I just read some articles that it was a close fight but majority thinks that GGG won the fight. Boxing is pretty f** up now, last week I watched Danny Garcia vs Shawn Porter and I saw the Garcia winning, however judges gave it to Porter to became the new championship, it was like volume punching vs accuracy, I guess the judges saw volumes (with poor %) the clear victor. If  there's so much uproar about this fight, I'm sure that Golden Boy is brewing another fight to make more money.
9700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Initial Coin Offering (ICO) Price on: September 16, 2018, 07:24:53 AM
It can go either way as well, prior to entering the price is pegged at certain amount, but some went to exceed their ICO price once its listed on a certain exchange. But I suspect the price dip upon listing due to the following:

[1] Investors usually got the tokens first after a ICO end, so I suspect they dump their tokens to get their ROI
[2] two weeks or month later, bounty hunters got theirs, resulting in massive drop again, avalanche of dumping resulting in another dramatic fall
[3] Sooner or later those projects needs to dump to cover their operating cost (but I suspect that they dump what they got, usually ETH, but their might be cases that they dump their tokens as well).

So its going to be a dilemma for bounty hunters, to hold or not to hold.
