9701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto found and is homeless? on: January 12, 2016, 12:07:43 PM
All these "Satoshi is found" articles are very low quality and are not worth reading. It's just funny to see how desperate these article writers are when they waste time on writing these articles.
9702  Economy / Speculation / Re: Christmas Call: $700 on: January 12, 2016, 10:47:46 AM
Seems that we will break $475 today or tomorrow
Next resistance is at $700
This will take some time to break
We can reach new ATH in February/March
Than we will see the start of the next bubble ...

Merry Xmas!  Grin

I am quite certain the price will be over $1000 this Christmas. So $700 is not a problem. Maybe one bank will accept bitcoin.

what christmas, this one already passed, you mean the one in the end of 2016?

i think for the next one there is a possibility to see a much higher value than 1k

For the Christmas in 2016, the price could be much higher, it could reach between $2000-5000 by the end of the year.

$5000? Don't be too optimistic without seeing the price go through the $1000 price point first. Realistically, anything around and above $700 is a very nice price by Christmas this year.
9703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: January 12, 2016, 10:37:32 AM
No. It can however make banks adopt the Blockchain as technology to give us a better and much faster banking experience. I think at some point in the future we will be given instant transactions within a certain country, and perhaps worldwide. That's the power of the Blockchain.
9704  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Without government, would there actually be more theft from the rich? on: January 12, 2016, 10:17:49 AM
No mather how much we tend to dislike governments, they do indeed play a useful role in providing security. It's for all people. The world would be a huge chaos. With governments there is 1 authority. If there weren't any governments, plenty of groups or people would then try to force themself into the authority role. Mostly not in a good way.
9705  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 1000$ in 2016 on: January 12, 2016, 01:28:00 AM
It's possible, but I think we will go through a hell of a roller coaster ride before we come even close to $1000. And after touching $1000 we will most likely head down to $700-$800 levels. There are too many dumpers.
9706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [poll] What do you currently use Bitcoin for? on: January 12, 2016, 01:23:23 AM
# Currency - Receiving and sending transactions, buying some digital goods, etc.
# Investment/Store of value - I am a frequent trader and I hold my coins in my cold wallets mainly to store a part of my wealth.
9707  Economy / Speculation / Re: After 2015, my €100 worth of Bitcoin was +38% in stead of -11%, which is +55%! on: January 11, 2016, 01:36:12 PM
prepare for 500 to be broken, because this what will happen soon enough, worst case 2-3 months

same shit at 300 wall, 250---> heading to 300 two times, then broke it

The struggle is real.

I hope after we break 500 it doesn't just hover around that Mark.  I'm hoping one 500 is broken we keep heading up strong.  Either way right now Bitcoin seems to be a good investment.

At every $100 step we will face some heavy selling from people that are taking profits. It's not that easy as you think. We might shortly reach $500 and then fall back to $470-$480 for some time. But I also hope we'll maintain $500 after reaching it.
9708  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Increasing now! Now the price 450$ on: January 11, 2016, 11:51:02 AM
Don't you worry, we will go down to 430 in no time.

yeah time to sell at $450. I will sell some of my bitcoin, then wait for prices to go down and buy again Smiley

And at what price do you plan to buy back, at sub $400 prices? If so, then I wish you good luck with waiting. It won't happen.

do not have to wait for bitcoin prices dropped considerably to $400, because it would be long enough. wait around $430-440 It also was enough to make a profit.

For such a small profit I won't even bother to sell my coins. The minimum profit for me is at least 10%. It's not worth to sell at $450 and buy back at $430-$440 unless you are trading with hundreds of coins.
9709  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $600 during the first month of the new year? on: January 11, 2016, 11:33:30 AM
is the price reach $600 in the beginning of 2015?

Nope. It was below $200 for a while in January and the highest point in 2015 was just over $500 in the beginning of November.
9710  Other / Meta / Re: Stop Neg-Tagging For Ponzi In a PAID Signature. on: January 11, 2016, 11:28:26 AM
People here don't care whether one of their community members get scammed through the ponzi ad they are having in their signature spot. They just care about the earnings.

And those who don't join aren't any better. When you ask them what the reason is for not joining such a signature campaign. Answer. : I don't want to get negative trust. This once again shows no interest in the people that might potentially get scammed. They only care about themselfs.

Then again, as long as the forum allows these ponzi scams to exist, there is not much you can do.
9711  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Can a offline wallet stop working ? on: January 11, 2016, 11:06:27 AM
if you have the seed/backup you can import that into any other wallet program

so dont reply on the program. just rely on the privatekey/seed which you should backup and keep safe

But do Electrum they have access to our bitcoins / can steal them ?
and how i make a backup ?

As long as you don't let your computer open and not have a virus in your computer, then no one will be able to steal your coins. All this is assuming you have the original client installed, and not a false one.
9712  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stamp is Leading BTC.....That means DUMPAGE! on: January 11, 2016, 10:52:43 AM
http://www.coindesk.com/unconfirmed-report-5-million-bitstamp-bitcoin-exchange/

Stamp was hacked really bad: wallets compromised, servers compromised, users trust compromised. I really don't know how they got up again. After that I did not consider Stamp a good exchange. So whatever happens to it I don't care

Bitstamp wasn't hiding anything like other exchanges do when they are "hacked" and a lot coins are stolen. Bitstamp is very open and will pay all people back, if they haven't already. They have sufficient reserves and a good fee income to solve this.

OP; When do you plan to buy back?
9713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: January 11, 2016, 10:11:10 AM
nothign is stopping me. I love using bitcoins Smiley))

But does not aware of bitcoins, Once bitcoin reaches to all common people It will come and arise to the all category people. Still so many people near my location they don’t know what is it. When I explain about that. They didn’t believe as well. We should solve these things

I also think the ignorance of bitcoin stops people from using bitcoin. Not many people know about bitcoin or the benefit of bitcoin.

It mostly is ignorance, yes. Laziness plays also a big part here. Some people do know Bitcoin, but they just don't want to do some research about it. It not hard at all to learn about the basic things of Bitcoin. For the average Joe there is no need to go in depth. I think that the biggest hassle is the signup and verification process on Bitcoin exchanges and setting up a wallet that must sync the entire Blockchain.
9714  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-01-10] Protecting Consumers From Bitcoin Volatility on: January 10, 2016, 09:41:44 PM
I am in Bitcoin because I allows me to be the full owner of all my coins and the direct value of the coins in fiat currency. I will never ever let a third party have control over my coins.

What is worse; Seeing the coins decrease a bit in value, but you do have the coins fully in your control. OR. Letting a third party control your coins just to prevent you from suffering from the volatility, with the chance that this third party will leave the scene with your coins. Roll Eyes
9715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Name the Year You Became Aware of Crypto Currency on: January 10, 2016, 09:21:03 PM
It was very late 2012 when I heard about Bitcoin for the first time, and short after that I was looking into LTC, PPC, NMC as well. Nowadays I only support Bitcoin as I find altcoins to be nothing more than a waste of resources.
9716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2016 Could Be Bitcoin's Best Year Yet on: January 10, 2016, 09:15:52 PM
could be the worst too  Wink

i doubt, the worst was 2014, and 2016 is already looking better, there is the halving there is open bazar, there ar enumerous plan to increase the block limit and so on

unless some major flaw that destroy bitcoin completely is discover, it can not go worse than 2014

What for one person can be considered as being a horrible year, is a good year for the other. With trading you can always make nice profits. Especially when there are heavy fluctuations going on. Each year in Bitcoin is a fantastic year. Smiley

Putin's new internet advisor: Tech innovation is the “new oil”
German Klimenko was appointed Advisor on the Internet to the President of Russia on 4 January. In his first interview for the Russian media he expressed a positive view on the new internet technologies and their integration with the country’s economics and financial system.
http://www.coinfox.info/news/persons/4350-putin-s-new-internet-advisor-tech-innovation-is-new-oil

It is much better than oil. It is not subject to maniac actions by Middle Eastern monarchs.
But this guy seems to be pushing for increased adoption of electronic rouble. That won't help much.

The electronic rouble will devalue year after year. So it does not help the Russian economy at all.

All fiat currencies will end up losing their value year after year. Being digital doesn't matter that much in this case.
9720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you know: You could buy a car fully paid by Bitcoins. What's next? on: January 10, 2016, 10:41:33 AM
There was also a large yach for sale that you can buy with Bitcoin. It will only cost you around $11 million worth of Bitcoins. Cool
