Day two was awesome.

Tons of topics and information. It's so big you can't attend all sessions.

What I keep having to be reminded is that bitcoin is an experiment and nothing is a sure thing.

Many of what is going on is uncharted waters. A roller coaster if you will.

Doing things right the first time is a good approach. Jeff G mentioned the development of bitcoin is extremely slow given it affects so many even with simple changes to the code.

smoothie, where u at boy?

i keep lookin' over my shoulder for a little fruit drink to poke me in the ass, much like over the last year.  Kiss

You here at the conference?

9707  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-16 The Genesis Block: Bitcoin Access Expanded to over 11 Million Users on: May 17, 2013, 06:13:13 PM
10s of millions of people who are used to shady cash deals now have a way to spend bitcoin through a program they are already familliar with.

BTC's price is going to push up steadily from the new Russian money flowing in now... But the best part?

They're all SPENDING coins... These aren't just more hoarders!

The Bitcoin ECONOMY is getting a huge boost here; not just the price.

...And it's ALL outside of Uncle Sam's jurisdiction!

This isn't just huge news; it's the best news so far this year!

Enter bull market rally to 200 good or long term good Cheesy

fuck yeah.
9708  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-17 Zerohedge - Peter Thiel Gets Bicoin Bug on: May 17, 2013, 06:04:12 PM
fricking huge.
9709  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-17 EFF Resumes accepting BitCoin on: May 17, 2013, 06:03:05 PM
the beauty of this announcement is that it comes AFTER the DHS seizure of Mutum Sigellum and AFTER Fincen guidelines.

no fear here, nor should there be.

9712  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-15 Forbes: It Could Be The Bureaucrats That Kill Bitcoin on: May 17, 2013, 04:15:06 PM
they aren't going to kill anything given the absurdities and inconsistencies that are now starting to come out.  ex: Chilton vs. DHS

but wait.

Bart Chilton said "Bitcoins don't exist and I didn't want to regulate them or put the government's stamp of approval on them."
9714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: May 17, 2013, 04:08:14 PM
News flash from Jane Wells:

"Chilton said 'Bitcoins don't exist and I didn't want to regulate them or put the government's stamp of approval on them'."

That's hugely positive news more so than the atm in the cnbs piece.

http://video.cnbc.com/gallery/?play=1&video=3000169018

the absurdity is highlighted in this well written article by Michael Suede:  http://www.policymic.com/articles/42301/bitcoin-price-2013-feds-seize-funds-of-world-s-largest-bitcoin-exchange-on-dubious-legal-grounds

i would suggest that Karpeles quote Bart Chilton during his defence of the DHS by saying, "well, Bart said, Bitcoins don't exist so how can i be a money transmitter?"

9718  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: May 17, 2013, 12:59:53 PM
GOLD IS NOT DOWN.
It's just paper on gold is down (futures). Physical market is in shortage. This is just a price manipulation by GS and the rests. Read zerohedge.com for more details if you are interested.

It's not?

I can buy gold easily at my local coin dealer for 4% over spot like I always have.

Stop the excuses.  I read zerohedge every day btw. For years now.
