I will definitely hold my coins till we reach a new ATH, and even longer than that. I will definitely sell some coins to secure my profits, but these are mostly my coins that I have for trading purposes. I am not even sure if I will sell some of my cold wallet coins while we are still under $2000. There is so much potential in the price, we just need to have a good bit of patience. That's it. Those who have patience will be greatly rewarded for that.

Actually I expect 5k bitcoin after speculation, but we shall see ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) That is too wild speculation. We will not even see $1k in January, let alone $5k. $0.5k is a realistic speculation. I think he means $5K in general and not within this month. I think even the most fanatic pro bull even doesn't think we'll reach $5K this month.

No crash will happen ever.We are going to see a new ATH instead of seeing any further drop in price. This is the year of possibilities and to reach new milestones in digital currencies universe.
How are you so sure of it that a crash will never happen? It can also start to crash from $700 to $500 before the halving. This is also considered to be a crash. New ATH is still far away, and in the meantime anything can happen.

It's not that big of a deal, right now. It might be when they are hosting even more nodes in the future through AWS where they don't speak about. Especially when other Chinese exchanges cooperate with BTCC in this case. I just hope other companies will follow and also host a certain amount of nodes somewhere in the world. If enough companies do this, then it will keep everything in balance.

It's just an article created to cause a bit of unneeded panic among some non-tech Bitcoiners. This was already known months before this article has popped up. A very late and tame article....
I am still using Windows 7, and will continue doing so as long as Microsoft supports it. Not sure what I will use after this, perhaps going to give Ubuntu a try again, but not sure how much it has changed since I haven't used it for like 2 years.

I am sure the speculation around the block halving will give the price an extra boost, but I do think this speculation part will vanish after the halving, which will cause the price to come down to more realistic price levels. I think a drop of 20-30% will happen after the halving.

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/okcoin/btccnyLet's use BTC/CNY since we all know the current driver/s are trading that... Just speculating based on its current run. BTC/CNY is running of out of steam and could go back down anytime now. It may go a bit lower at the moment, but not too much as I think next week we will make a jump to possibly $450. Just for the interest, what is your target low right now?
BTC/CNY 2600. If it breaks clean past that, who knows.
Some quotes from you and me at Sunday. Looks like I was right here. Bitstamp reached $451.02 as high of the day this week.

The price is going up for sure, if we hold the 400 USD then. If it breaks 400 USD then we will see the price go down to 300 USD
sorry but price wont come down it can only go up only mater is on what point it will stop 500 or 800 or 1000 maybe more halving will be major influence on price but it will be for long term Yeah the price should be rise above 500 if halving is over you will see the price rising fast. And the price will never down below 400. Just view the chart of this month its very stable and no sign of breaking down below 400.. The price is rising now to around $450. This could be helped by funds seeking safe heaven due to the stock market drop. If that was the case, then the price would go much higher than the $450 that we are currently sitting on. It's a normal price increase that was already due to happen. It's that simple.

There is a small market since there are some people willing to pay a premium to get themself a fresh 25BTC block mined into one of their wallets. To me this doesn't matter. 1 Bitcoin = 1 Bitcoin, no matter if it is freshly mined, or has been 2 years in circulation.

I will never trust any one with my private keys, even not with multisig. My coins will remain unused in their wallets for ever if something happens with me. That's how I think about it right now. It might change when I become a father, then I will try to find a way to make sure at some point in the future my kids can access the coins.

I like this news. Good to see that Bitstamp is looking to add a precious metal to their trading platform. I personally aren't a big fan of Gold, but a lot people out here do like Gold. Great step forward.

Less than 1 million euro.
It depends. Even domains that are worth a certain value go for more than double their actual value since the people that are buying it are going to use it for something. And some times domains that are worth a lot go for a very low amount. My guess is more in the range of $100,000 for bitcoins.com. But still, who has so much money to throw into a domain. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

My vote went to $1001-$1100 which seams reasonably fair and also realistic. The price might reach a new ATH in 2016 but things will cool down and cause the price to make a dive. After that, a recovery will happen at the end of 2016 and thus at January 1st it will be MAX $1100.

great call! finally someone who doesn't suffer from lack of imagination! previous bubbles have been 5-10 (or more) times prev. ATH, so if we see another one, this is quite possible. Of course timing needs to fit well, too. Some people clearly don't lack imagination, but what they do lack is a healthy bit of reality.

I'll hold my coins no matter what, even if the price reaches $1000 tomorrow. But I am fairly sure that people will shift their attention away from traditional investments to new things. Bitcoin might be part of that. If that happens, then the price will get a huge boost.

Since you started preaching about crashes the price has nearly tripled.
Hey, come to think of it, aren't you that guy who sold his coins for 10$? LOL
I have seen several people mention in his threads that he sold his coins for $10, but where do they get this information from? Or they are just trolling. Either way, I don't believe anything that kwukduck says, he is just a trolling champion bear.

Since the price has gone up considerably from the time of creating this thread I will lower the start bid to 0.10BTC and bid increments are 0.005BTC.

Currently new BC are created worth of 1.4 million dollars every day. If we assume that the current need for BC is worth of 1.4 million dollars a day and BC supply halves, shouldn't that mean, that price should double? Or has that allready been baked in the current price?
It's definitely not baked in the current price. During 2016 we can definitely achieve to see the price double from current price point, but it can also go much higher and bring us a new ATH, which would be a great milestone. It has not much to do with the block rewards being cut by 50% and that the price must go up 100%. That's what I consider to be nonsense. It will be the demand and speculation that will be the main driver that will push the price possibly to over $1000 again this year.

It depends. If Bitcoin by that time is a very strong alternative currecy accepted worldwide and a major investment tool used by Wall Street traders, then I will do exactly the same as I would with fiat. I will use it to buy everything I need for my daily life, and buy a car or whatever else big when I need it. I won't spend anything just because the value has gone up significantly. I just buy what I need. Tldr; Hold some, spend some. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
