why google bans crypto ads and than let this happen? lol fuck.
Crypto ads have been allowed on Google for a while already. Also, scams like this manage to get through because the ad submission part is mostly automated. It'd be incredibly unrealistic to expect Google employees to go through every single ad submission before they approve/decline them.

So let me get this straight. You're pretty much downloading Bitcoin Core's software, and selling the torrent on your website for 2000 sats that anyone can literally download right now for free anyway?

There's probably something we're missing here.
1. What happens when you open that page on your mobile phone? Through your browser, and NOT through the Coinbase app. 2. Have you tried doing this with your Coinbase account logged out of your browser? 3. This might be too much of a stretch and I heavily doubt it's due to your internet connection or IP, but have you tried using a different internet connection by chance? A coffee shop or something?

Blockchain aimed to go anonymous so people would have freedom financially
What Pooya said. Since when was anonymity the main goal? Blockchains are obviously public by default as you can see with like 99% of blockchains(besides privacy focused ones like Monero). Also, it's not the end for Bitcoin's privacy. For now, we're stuck with Mixers like ChipMixer and CoinJoin services like Wasabi and Samourai.

Lastly I am from UK so looking for the biggest known volume BTC<>£GBP pairs so which Crypto exchanges on coinmarketcap.com have their main Headquarters in UK?
If you don't mind me asking, why does the exchange specifically need to be from the UK? Coinbase Pro is pretty reputable, and while they're not mainly based on the UK, you still have access(also with BTC/GBP).

Holy. Just saw this thread from our local section. Now this is a scam accusation I wouldn't expect. Pretty confused thought the loan defaulter was from Phillipines , but apparently he's romanian.
I'm pretty sure he's from the philippines. Scrolling through his post history there's lots and lots of posts posted in filipino. I don't see any posts in Romanian. His personal text seems to be referring, although a bit cryptic, to "Enisala Fortress"; whatever that may mean. It's interesting though, why that sockpuppet would post such a post in "Romanian". Perhaps a native speaker could tell us if that sentence is google-translated. I've checked his posting history aswell today due to his personal text , also Enisala Fortress reffers to the ruins of an medieval fortress located around 2 km close to a city called Enisala in the SE of Romania. There's always the possibility of him being able to speak filipino aswell , or native Phillipines living in Romania etc. If 1010matt will share more info about it , I might be able to help you DireWolfM14 to recover your money , since I'm living somewhat close-by. Chatted the dude a few times in the past concerning Bitcoin, exchanges, hardware wallets, and banks; and I can confirm that it's highly likely that this dude is a Filipino local. Though I really can't 100% guarantee it, if you've lived in the Philippines for a decade, you'd automatically assume that he's a local because of the way he phrases and expresses things because of the local lingo. One thing I can say about him though, is that this dude is quite serious concerning his personal privacy and mentioned it early on even though I didn't even make any attempts in knowing who he is in person(I mean, I wasn't interested in the first place anyway). Taking personal privacy extra seriously is definitely not a bad thing though(in fact, a good thing). Just thought I'd mention this here. Anyway, best of luck moving forward to DireWolfM14 and others.

What. Kung may mangsscam man na manggagaling saatin dito sa Pilipinas section, si TYM siguro ung isa sa pinaka huli sa listahan ko. Ilang beses ko na nakausap sa chat to, matinong kausap at respetado namang kausap. Kung may nangyari man sakanya o sa sinomang mahal nya sa buhay, I wish him the best of luck. But unfortunately, regardless kung ano man ang rason niya kung bakit nya nagawa ito at kung gaano man siya naging matulungin sa Bitcointalk dati, maling solusyon parin ung ginawa niya. Oh well. RIP ' theyoungmillionaire' account. Officially from highly reputable, to scammer. Sayang.

I'm for it, even though I'm really not interested in 99.9999% of existing alts right now. How do we decide which alts are considered "established" or not though? I assume probably alts that are in the top 20/50/100 on Coinmarketcap? If not, it's going to be hella difficult as certain alts being established/legitimate or not is quite subjective. Probably the last thing we like to see is mods and users battling it out arguing if x coin/token is considered a scam or not LOL.

Technically since the fed is doing so much printing, we would expect the USD's value to somewhat drop. But actually, the USD has gained value recently(against SGD, AUD, etc) due to I assume people moving their funds to USD because of the USD being stronger than currencies of most countries. As for long term, ones the epidemic dies down, I have zero idea.
As for bitcoin, currencies of some countries doing more and more quantitative easing should theoretically be a good thing. But let's don't forget that most people today are still holding bitcoin as a speculative investment rather than a hedge.

From the first link: "Your mobile device actively protects you against the Coronaviruses (Cov) while the app is running."
If a certain person actually thinks a mobile app can protect him/her from COVID-19 then I don't even know what to say.

1) copy/pasting random articles
If you meant people(mostly newbies) who are copy-pasting random articles and adding the source link at the bottom, as far as I know it's legal(which is kinda reasonable). Freakin annoying most of the time though; I'd be completely fine with it if the poster at least gave his/her thoughts concerning the topic. But no, like 90% is just straight-up copy pasting content just in the hopes of earning merit.

2-3 years is considered long-term? Damn. I know it's subjective but in my opinion the bare minimum of "long-term" should at least be like 6 years or so. Many investors are recommending people to do to enter any project with the money they need, use the part of money you don't need it.
I don't think people should be recommending people to invest in a risky asset at all. This is the reason why I really never suggested buying bitcoin to anyone I know personally. I just talk about bitcoin sometimes, and it's completely up to them if they're interested enough to look it up and actually invest.

Good question. We can be free to use other existing threads naman(including the thread of XenoFever of course), the goal of this sort of "megathread" is to prevent(or lessen, not necessarily na magiging bawal) the creation of newer ones, and to have a megathread that's hopefully more strict in terms of ung information na prinoprovide ng ating mga kabayan(see suggested rules of Mr. Big). Anyway, if this thread doesn't get enough traction in a few days/weeks, hayaan nalang nating mamatay tong thread. No biggie.

No one knows, and we can only speculate. What unit of gold are you referring to specifically anyway?
Anyway, one thing's for sure, bitcoin in the short term will definitely be more volatile and gold will probably be a lot better as a sort of "safe haven" than bitcoin, simply due to the fact that bitcoin's market liquidity dwarfs gold's market liquidity.

They trying to contact me and to explains that I can earn even the market has no movements. How cool is that LOL
Yikes. Just to be sure, I suggest informing your family members about this scheme as at it seems like it's spreading like wildfire; probably through group chats and such. Taking note that our filipino friends and family are mostly easily deceived by these things. 🇵🇭

Had a quick conversation with Pilipinas moderator Mr. Big and we discussed(and agreed upon) about having a Coronavirus(COVID-19) megathread sa section natin para mabawas bawasan ang Coronavirus-related topics sa section natin; dahil masyado ng nagiging redundant ang topics natin. Anyway, here it is. Hopefully to clean up our section a bit. Some notes from Mr. Big: - Discussion should be concerning the Coronavirus here in the Philippines.
- All information should be backed with source/s, to prevent the spread of fake/misleading information.
- News from other countries are off-topic unless may connection sa Philippines or at least sa situation natin.
Some helpful links concerning COVID-19 in the Philippines(grabbed some from the megathread of the r/Philippines subreddit): ⬇️⬇️⬇️God bless mga kabayan, and stay safe. 🇵🇭

A random person on Facebook out of nowhere recommended you to use a trading platform, whereas to use the platform, you'd obviously need to deposit money. Shouldn't that itself be a huge red flag? Anyway, a quick Google search gave me these results: It's probably a scam that's mostly targeted to Filipinos.
EDIT: Yep. Checked your post history and you also hang out on the Pilipinas section. I personally wouldn't touch that platform with a 10-foot pole.

What is the best place to talk to traders that ACTUALLY know what they're talking about, like wallstreetbets but for crypto?
Are you serious or are you being sarcastic here? WSB is pretty much mostly stock market memes LOL. Tell you what though, if there's an actual group with actually heavily knowledgeable people concerning trading, chances are, it will be private. Public trading-focused subreddits like r/bitcoinmarkets and r/ethtrader are definitely not great places to get information from. Hence I'm a heavy advocate for personal due diligence.

and their contact form doesn't allow me to contact anymore since the last two drop downs are disabled no matter what I select.
I took a look at Coinbase's contact page( https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us.html) for you. You probably know this already, but I'm going to say it just to be sure as you might be rushing through the questions: The last 3 drop downs will be disabled if you haven't picked an option on the first drop down(What is your country or region of residence?*), and if you haven't picked an option on the "Choose your product*" radio buttons. tldr; you need to answer the preceding questions before you can answer the succeeding questions or else the drop downs will be disabled. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FbYxRNun.png&t=663&c=-grRLy56P_DZ3w)
