OP was online yesterday but no declare who are the winners. Is this giveaways possible scam?
he has ready to ruin their reputation now , so don't expect anything on this kind person.
this is bullshit giveaway.

Even I am starting to doubt it, cause on one of his banners I joined a site, and it had free benefits of rolling but when I contacted the site they said he's not the person who was authorized. Why do people do this
9782  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1 Bitcoin giveaway courtesy of btcjack on: November 02, 2016, 07:30:55 AM

9783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does bitcoin ATM going to affect bitcoin? on: November 01, 2016, 04:59:41 PM
Currently not many atms are not there. The government is aware of everything. The fees will always play a major role. Plus the security will also be a concern. Normally you see atms being robbed and money goes, you cant let security slip with these atms.
9784  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1 Bitcoin giveaway courtesy of btcjack on: November 01, 2016, 02:15:31 PM
Has this giveaway ended? I visited the site but it only displays a blank page. Nothing shown, does it exist?

Ya giveaway has ended yesterday was last day. Now results are awaited. There are more give aways I suppose in the forum, searching for them
9785  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1 Bitcoin giveaway courtesy of btcjack on: November 01, 2016, 01:41:31 PM
Hey so whose the winner? Went to the site there's no mention, went to Twitter again no mention? Did any one won? Where can I find more giveaway like this on the forum?

I almost forgot that we have this GA, the thread was drowned by other posts. Give them some more time, the GA said it ended at 1st of November which is still today.
I personally don't think it is fair if I send the link here since it is the thread for btcjack's giveaway, so... I'll just send you a link to someone's post instead https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1649695.msg16686729#msg16686729

Ohh yeah I mistook it to be 2nd Nov. Bit hungover I suppose. Let's hope we all win lol.
9786  Economy / Speculation / Re: rapidly increasing price on: November 01, 2016, 12:29:30 PM
Currently it's price is 736$, so if you have sell a bit and buy later. Currently due to festive season it may rise. Then ahead it will slip, then rebuy. Or just hold till you can.
9787  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What if the wallets would run away with the money on: November 01, 2016, 10:59:11 AM
Well thats why you need to hold onto your own BTC private keys mate. Don't use services like coinbase. Hold your own private key and no one can steal it from you if you store it securely.

How can I do it? Is there some link or steps you could guide. Cause I only know very basic stuff about this wallets and this private key I am not getting it
9788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block chain helping tourism on: November 01, 2016, 10:07:09 AM
Sure, there are tons of possibilities with the blockchain. It's funny how the blockchain came out and everyone is looking to solve problems with it, instead of the other way around.

LOL this happens In this world. Anything is possible. But it's good that btc is helping who ever thought it would be used for tourism. It can help so many underdeveloped countries.

9790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block chain helping tourism on: November 01, 2016, 09:09:44 AM
Bitcoin can realy help the tourism. That is the case in my country. Especialy in the summer a lot of younger people are comming who are also Bitcoin users. This summer I met some of them and they were asking if there are Bitcoin ATMs and where are the stores that accept Bitcoins.
So, in order to improve tourism we should offer more Bitcoin related contents.

Yes Bitcoin use is gaining momentum. Now schools are also accepting btc as fees. It's a matter of time before every thing is making available via btc. Can't wait for it, this really should excite all btc users
9791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: November 01, 2016, 08:41:13 AM
The general trend Is that's it being accepted. So put your fears out if your mind. They won't be so relax
9792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This School Accepts Bitcoin ! on: November 01, 2016, 07:17:12 AM
Quote
Dharwad International School in Karnataka is the first school offering a facility of Bitcoins for their annual fees. The population of 1.25 billion, is set to overtake China’s by 2022 – and India’s remittance industry is calculated at a massive $50-70 billion. Experts are touting India as home of the next Bitcoin boom.

Didn't know that earlier, do other schools also accept bitcoins ?

Edit : link to article : http://epaperbeta.timesofindia.com/Article.aspx?eid=31808&articlexml=Buying-with-bitcoins-31082015010046

I never knew this. Considering its been one year since this article, it's really good to know that Bitcoin is being used for all purposes. This is amazing hope more shall follow soon.
9793  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin with PayPal? on: November 01, 2016, 06:56:57 AM
You can look our for a exchange that does it again there will be fees. Then there are sellers you can buy from. Like I am not sure the rules of this forum allow this, like post a topic you will pay via pp for the btc. If the forum rules allow you can strike a deal and save on the fees.
9794  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What if the wallets would run away with the money on: November 01, 2016, 06:18:56 AM
The good thing is that you have alternative, you are not forced to use any kind of online wallet at all.
In case of even shadow of doubt you should not use online wallet, casino, exchange - basically any 3rd party service.

I just want to add - if you are user of blockchain.info, then it is near impossible for owners to steal your bitcoins - as they don't have access to your account at all.

I have been using coinbase.com cause I was suggested that it was the best. Is it the best or should I shift to some other one. Ya I read about it, it's scary it could happen. Will there be any fees if I switch to Blockchain?
9795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: November 01, 2016, 03:35:23 AM
I don't think as of now there are any tax associated with it. It's not yet recognised currency. As and when it does then maybe. But for time being no, until your local laws have notified it
9796  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What if the wallets would run away with the money on: October 31, 2016, 05:48:11 PM
It's often discussed that, Hyip, ptc scams are normal. What happens if the wallets like coinbase and xapo and others decided to walk away with the money what will happen, though I am sure it will never happen but just out of curiosity

It's the first reason why It's never recommended to store your Bitcoins in an online wallet (certaintly not one that doesn't give you access to your private keys like both services you just mentioned) , If you believe that this unlikely to happen then google "Mt gox" and think again. As for what will happen , nothing much If they do it right. (having your funds back is unlikely btw)

Hey thanks a lot will check it. Sorry I did not know it was discussed before. But thanks for your input will see it.

9798  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How cryptocurrency can be killed & people money lost? on: October 31, 2016, 04:17:05 PM
Hello,

not sure if all cryptocurrency have same kind of "protection" against this, but im mainly interested in Ethereum and Bitcoin now.

If 20 years old person wan to use BTC and ETH cryptocurrencies to store main part of his/her life savings for next 60 years, how big risk is there the developers of the cryptrocurrency will steal his money or cryptocurrency will "bankrupt" some way so his json wallet key file will become useless?

How the cryptocurrency can be damaged so people loose 60-100% of their money saved there?

I would like to evaluate risks saving money in cryptocurrency for the term of tens of years. Thank You

Hacking is always a risk. Plus price reductions can happen. Life saving for 60 years is a very big thing, I will advise you to save 5-10 of your surplus cash. Keep monitoring it.
9799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Block chain helping tourism on: October 31, 2016, 03:00:18 PM
Look like after swizz news this is cherry 🍒 on the cake 🎂. Many countries struggle to attract tourists and those that do manage to get a steady inflow of visitors, often find that they tend to congregate at major attractions leaving a lot of places that are visit worthy untouched.

Blockchain can ‘gamify’ tourism https://cointelegraph.com/news/dubai-and-norway-use-blockchain-to-redefine-tourism
9800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin trusted to put your real money on: October 31, 2016, 12:52:18 PM
Yo I would answer in affirmative. I am sure it's a good idea but not entirely. Diversify your assets. Bitcoin is future. Buy when others sell, sell when others buy. Invest say 5-10% of your available cash with you.
