Hey blakeaholics,

What do you think about something like this?

Oh, and by the way, I like the layout of the login screen. It's really nice. Cheesy
Maybe we can combine some designs together.

Best regards, Srele from MangoCoinz.

From a business perspective, following UI guidelines would definitely be more enticing

From a user perspective, being used to most apps that follow UI guidelines yet look good, given 2 choices and an open vote, blakes design would probably win by a big margin (no hard feelings, just an honest opinion)
982  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are college textbooks in the US a total ripoff? on: February 07, 2015, 08:07:28 AM
College textbooks are overpriced everywhere, in the US it is actually considerably cheaper
983  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have a coinbase account you may want to check this post. on: February 07, 2015, 08:05:45 AM
That's fine. I am covered since Coinbase won't let me buy any thing any ways.

Precisely haha

Ponzi Game!

How Do I Know You Won't Scam?

We take a small cut of 2-3% of each payout to run things such as website costs and effort. In the long run, we can make much more money running this service rather than being theives and stealing your money.

Nice try, your website + domain are all FREE
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MangoCoinz Official ANN Thread - Mine cryptocurrencies on you smart phone on: February 06, 2015, 10:47:31 PM
Did a simple revamp of the UI, if the devs are interested I can keep working on it and send it there way when it's done.
I plan to make it transition (for the most part) as simply as possible from the old to the new so they can focus more time on the actual coding.

You guess have any suggestions/input/whatever? The news/transactions/receive fragments aren't done yet, just placeholders for now.

(I only used my icon because I could. Don't mean to seem like I'm pushing it on you guys)

Hey blakeaholics,

Cool designs, but they don't suit the app. We want to stay with the original color.
We have some designs in mind. What do you think about this as a very basic concept:

Best regards, Srele from MangoCoinz.

I actually prefer Blakes version, can just change the green to orange
987  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have a coinbase account you may want to check this post. on: February 01, 2015, 06:26:42 AM

Thankfully none of the 5 reasons bother me haha

Hey everybody,

We've just published MangoCoinz v0.5.2 and it will be available to update in a few hours.
This is a security update, and updating from v0.5.1 will not result in coin loss.

A short time after the update is available, it will be the only version able to interact with the system.

Best regards, Srele from MangoCoinz.

Can you please implement some kind of auto update?

cheers

I think it is possible to auto update certain apps only in google play

First of all, thanks for the feedback MRKYLE. TXID: 299a456bff4445d0e16126e329ae29931a5f97f987d94ac7bf3670854610fabf
Second of all, everyone says to do something more productive, but I have no ideas. I wanted to make a Wall-Street like exchange, but being 14, who would take me seriously.
Third, I'll work on finding a new font. I can only afford free fonts, so my selection is limited at best.

And to Quartz, the only reason I'm coding it is:
1. Looks like I could make some money
2. I'm sick of the Asian guy who runs all the ponzi scams, who doesn't even know how to code jack shit.

And what right things, lol. Maybe a faucet? I dunno.

And is there anyway I can prove to you guys I'm not a scammer? Escrow... maybe?

Outlander:
125% goes to fast, but maybe I could have to separate games. I'm still working on setting up a timer and a round system.

Well to be honest, the site looks clean yet focused on your main objective. About fonts, there are heaps and heaps of awesome free fonts on Google Fonts, pretty confident that your selection will not be limited haha, personally I use Raleway http://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Raleway.

Regarding the Asian guy who doesn't know how to code jack shit, no comments on that haha

A faucet would probably work, most faucets are hosted on free or cheap (almost no cost) servers, advertisement revenue and a good domain would probably pay you more than your faucet payments to others, the problem is just getting enough to last for the initial periods where no ones know your faucet site and hence no traffic = no revenue
991  Economy / Digital goods / Re: bitcoin exchange script / website on: January 31, 2015, 04:47:09 AM
did you make this script yourself ? or do you have reselling rites of this script ? you did not write price and also your demo is not working
my demo work:
http://bcoin-e.com/

yes your demo work but i really dont like the design not user friendly and did you write this script yourself ? or do you have reselling rights of it ?

Probably not written by OP
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining newbbbbb on: January 31, 2015, 04:44:03 AM
So would it best just to buy them and hold for couple years?

Well, I am not really a good guy to recommend holding for a couple years as I know little about investment, but with scrypt profitability going all the way rock bottom, it wouldnt be bad to hold some. Personally I have more holdings in btc and other non scrypt altcoins than litecoin. No one knows what any crypto will be like a year or even a week in the future, so all I can say is do some research and see what will work out best for you , cheers!

994  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Windows 8.1 Pro Keys - 4 for $15 on: January 31, 2015, 04:39:26 AM
Is this region specific or worldwide OP?

This should be world wide, but to be on the safer side I'm going to deem it valid for use in North America.

Are these valid for one year ? Or ?

Thanks

I assume op is selling Windows 8.1 keys, u must have mixed up with the upcoming Windows 10 free for a year deal. There are no "valid for one year" windows 8.1 keys, either they are valid forever or they or not haha

Correct, they have no expiration as far as I am aware of.

MSDN keys are not region based (afaik haha)

996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining newbbbbb on: January 31, 2015, 04:35:59 AM
Want to mine litecoins where do I start and help would be appreciated

Unless you have a mining farm and lots of capital with cheap electricity, at the high difficulties and current price I would not recommend mining if you want a profit, if you are doing it just for fun or learning however, http://www.coindesk.com/information/how-to-mine-litecoin/

Use your skills to do the right things, coding a ponzi site at age 14, I cannot fathom what you will do 10 years down the road...

999  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: how long will it take to make 1 bitcoin with $100 of hardware? on: January 30, 2015, 09:47:45 AM
With 100 dollars worth of hardware, it would be hard to even make 0.1 bitcoin in a year haha
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MangoCoinz Official ANN Thread - Mine cryptocurrencies on you smart phone on: January 30, 2015, 08:24:05 AM
Might be time you guys go open-source and let people help with bugs more. I mean it is an Android app so the source is available if you want it, no sense in keeping it closed any longer.
Bump.

Crypto is only strong if you can prove it openly. If there's a bug/flaw and you keep it closed you're risking the whole project.
Make it open and let the community help improve it. Like I said before, it's an Android app, the source is readily available anyways so might as well invite the community.

if you had the source you could fake the accelerometer requirements.

cheaty haxors Cheesy

So much this, one can simply modify the code and make it simpler for him to "mine" coins. Then again, whats with the posts recently trying to downplay the dev? I'm pretty sure the devs are coming up with bugs fixes and better application and features, take the upcoming iphone app for instance
