981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - February 2024 in Saudi Arabia on: November 19, 2023, 08:32:11 PM
^^ Yeah, ML looks good for Tyson Fury this early.

And if you are a supporter of him, might be good to just bet on the ML but you need to put a lot of money in him.

However, there could be skeptics on him based on his last performance against Ngannou. But still though, Fury has the physical advantage and I think he has more power than Usyk. But we have been waiting for this fight to happen, it might be close one,  very unpredictable, but who's going with Fury?

983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: David Benavidez Vs Demetrius Andrade Interim WBC Super Middleweight title fight on: November 17, 2023, 11:50:17 PM
We are just about a week from this fight and most likely they have winded down their training so that they won't overtrain.

I still think that Benavidez will win this fight, no offense to Andrade, but he hasn't face a boxer that has the caliber of David. Yeah, seems that there's no hype in this fight as both are cordial against each other.

But this is going to be competitive and I wouldn't be surprised if Benavidez is the first person to knockout Andrade.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is the largest sports bet you have ever placed, and what was the result on: November 17, 2023, 10:55:53 PM
feel free to share your story

bonus question: did that experience cause you to play more or less? and do you still bet?

$100 on a game with Lillard is still with Portland, I forget who is their opponent that time. It was a ML bet, so I guess I was hoping for Lillard to have his usual "Dame Time" back then. However, I wasn't able to watch the game itself, I don't know I just feel asleep while waiting for the game itself.

And when I woke up, Portland won, it was a very close game and again, I recalling everything, it was a game winner from Dame. He has to drive and bank the shot if my memory serves me right. And I was just thinking that if I watch the game, I will be very nervous.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a mega winner say no to public presentation? on: November 17, 2023, 09:56:26 PM
I guess it depends on what State if you are in the US,

Quote
16 States Where Lottery Jackpot Winners Can Remain Anonymous

-Arizona (only for winners of $100,000+, but city and county will be revealed)
-Delaware
-Illinois (only for winners of $250,000+)
-Kansas
-Maryland
-Minnesota (only for winners of $10,000+)
-Mississippi
-Missouri
-Montana (town or city may be revealed)
-New Jersey
-New Mexico (only for winners of $10,000+, but you can request anonymity if you have security concerns)
-North Dakota
-South Carolina
-Texas (only for winners of $1 million+)
-Virginia (only for winners of $10 million+)
-West Virginia (only for winners of $1 million+)
-Wyoming

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/remain-anonymous-win-mega-millions-182448839.html

So maybe other States wanted to let everyone knows that some real person won the lottery and that it was not rigged or something and so it is allowed publicly for anyone to check.

But for me, for privacy safe I would rather remain anonymous, I don't want anyone to know that I have won the lottery.

So with that, it really depends on what State or what the laws of your country, if you can remain hidden from the public eye, the better for you.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 16, 2023, 11:20:47 PM
Also Celtics kinda showed us that 76ers are not what they look like and as soon as they block Embiid , there is nowhere left to actually carry the game for them and now I do think that maybe they made a mistake letting Harden go ? could be.

Nah, they are good without Harden, Maxey is taking Harden's place now, it's that the Boston Celtics has the best duo in the NBA right now, Tatum and Brown, and they are very consistent this season.

For the Lakers, it's a up and down game against the Kings. The biggest issue with the team right now is that they simply allow their opponents to take a big lead and they have a hard time trying to catch up. Another team that is also inconsistent and I doubt that they are a championship caliber in the West right now. Kings kryptonite is the Warriors, but if the Warriors can't get their act together maybe if they play the Kings in the playoff, it will be a different story.

Agreed I think every team that has Harden leave is almost a net positive for them.  Harden is good no doubt but he isn't a type of player that makes his team better.  Looks like his teammates get disinterested when he is on the court.  Think something is off with his ego and/or personality which makes it not work on the court.

True, perhaps the best team that Harden really put up a lot of effort is with the Houston Rockets, he partnered with CP3 and they almost made it to the finals and he is putting insane numbers and he shows he can carry a team, but not enough though.

And probably that is his mentality, that he can still carry the team but he keeps on joining super teams, so that is a contradictory itself. To be honest, I thought that he will stay with the Sixers, but I guess he understand that it is Joel's team and he will not make it as the alpha or the leader so he demanded a trade and just hiding on the excuse that the owner is a liar.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you bet on when your league is in break? on: November 16, 2023, 11:00:15 PM
This is something I've always been wondering about. Gamblers tend to have a league, be it basketball football or any famed sport, that they tend to love most. For instance in the USA American football and NBA betting tend to be very popular, while in south and south east Asia countries cricket is also very popular among other sports. So people tend to have a league in a certain sport that they know the most about, have a favorite team in, know the players etc.

So what's your experience with this. When your league is in break, do you tend to try to follow other leagues that you're familiar with, or will you gamble on anything really? I'm interested to hear what other people have to say in this matter.

For me personally, I try to limit my gambling to teams where I know at least some players, because otherwise it's easy to get carried away. Really in my opinion, gambling on leagues and sports that you know little to nothing about, only increases the edge against you.

I'm also into NBA betting, and the league goes from October to June, and after that it's like 3-4 months of break.

Nah, as for me, I don't play or bet on any other sports, or I don't like to bet on games that I don't know. So I also took a break as well, however, I also play casino games like slots, dice or even card games like Black Jack or Baccarat.

So I agree with you, if you bet on sports that you know nothing about, you might end up losing big money. Well the positive side is that you will get that experience, but gonna be a expensive journey just to learn that sports.
988  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi | Project status on: November 16, 2023, 10:50:05 PM
At least you have been true to this community, as we really didn't expect how everything has been going on behind close doors. And it just sad to hear that the databases has been sold to another casino platform.

And if you are going to pursue them, at least refunded your costumers first, that should be your first priority.

After that if you still have the money, then get after those individuals and entities in legal way and get what you need from them.
989  Other / Beginners & Help / [Warning]: Impersonation and spoofing of crypto related companies on Twitter on: November 16, 2023, 08:48:15 AM
There were reports of another scam attack thru impersonation, but this time it's different, they uses blockchain analytics or crypto fraud investigation firms and researchers, like CertiK, ZachXBT, and Scam Sniffer to fabricate that there was such breaches on Uniswap and OpenSea.

So to impersonate, this cyber criminals a Twitter name that resembles the legit ones. For example,

ZachXBT has the account @zachxbt, while the criminals created and tweeted from @zacheryxbt.

And after you click, you will be redirected to two websites:

Code:
http://revoketokens.io/
Code:
http://revokea.sh/

Good that this website has been taken down and offline, but the criminals was able to run off initially with $50,000. And I felt sorry for those victims. So in any case that this kind of attacks resurfaces again, just be cautious though and check everything first before you go and click any link.

Is it just me that can't access the website of Seabet?

Wanna try to use this website but seems there is an error when accessing the site, hope this will be fixed right away if indeed there is an error on the site.

No, there are a lot of players here as well that can't accessed the website.

Perhaps you are included in the countries that are ban from accessing them, so there's nothing you can do about it. Of course, if you just want to browse their casinos, you can used VPN, but for me, it's not advisable if you are going to play, with the platform, in my opinion.

@Broadanbig - yes, they did run a signature campaign, but they are paying in altcoins so obviously, it's going to be listed in altcoin section. 🚧 [BOUNTY] Seabet.io - Crypto-casino | USDT Signature Campaign.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For sports bettors, are you attracted with bet builder feature? on: November 15, 2023, 10:23:12 PM
I just recently explored the bet builder feature of the sportsbook I'm currently using, and I find it interesting as you can have more bets combine in just one game which is impossible on parlay bets. So I'd like to hear your thoughts regarding this, is it also profitable or just a waste of money?

Been betting on bet builder since last year, and yeah, why not take advantage of it. Definitely it makes betting more interesting and interesting as you can combine player stats as well and see how good you are in making some predictions based on your analysis and of course the experience with those games, like in my case I have tried it in NBA games.

I don't think that it's a waste of money, and obviously, it's profitable if you are going to win. It might just make it harder as compare to just single bet with ML or any handicap. But as I have said, it will be a big test on your end on how good (or bad?) you are as far as being a sports bettor. So it's worth a try from time to time and so when you watch the game, it will be exciting to cheer for the player you have bet on.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: November 15, 2023, 10:02:50 PM
We will see, that's quite appealing odds for a KO for Stevenson, specially if he will do it in under 10.5 rounds. And if someone either bet on that, it's going to be a big win as the odds is above 3.xx which is very attractive.

So let's see how Stevenson will perform here, I'm starting to like this kid, so I will go with him winning via KO.

Nothing is great by betting on a huge odds like it and there could also a chance that you could score a KO because he needed a signature win in this division.

That KO odds for Steveson is tempting indeed but Shakur is unpredictable with the KO win, i mean he doesn't always go for that kind of win, he will not force the issue if the chance is not there that may be the reason why bookies believed that this fight would go the distance especially that De Los Santos is not a push-over fighter.

That's how technical he is, if things are very different as he plan, Shakur might plan a different route and go to distance but it's not going to be controversial, like in the Herring fight. Or it could be as brutal as the Oscar Valdez fight. He made Valdez looks amateurish in that fight and then knock him down and dominated the fight.

So gonna be hard to predict the fight. But if we are looking for a good odds, then yes, winning via KO is good as the odds is still as high as 3.x something. As maybe De Los Santos might just be good in paper, but when they go out in the ring, he will be overwhelmed by Shakur's technical ability and he can't adjust and then just being bully in the ring by Stevenson's boxing IQ.

995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 12, 2023, 07:03:07 AM
The Warriors and Cavaliers are currently facing off. The first quarter has been good; it's a high-scoring game, making it enjoyable, especially since it's also a close match. It's time to show the fans that the Warriors aren't afraid of the length of the Cavaliers, and the best way to prove that is by avenging their loss on the road at the Cavaliers' home court.

With Green and Payton back, the team now has a complete and healthy lineup. They should take care of business well.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as expected. The Warriors had a tough second quarter, being outscored by 17 points after leading by just 1 in the first quarter. Now, it's time to continue supporting them. They are at -4.5 in the 3rd quarter, and considering the Warriors are typically a strong 3rd quarter team, I'm betting on them in the hope that they'll narrow the lead to single digits going into the 4th quarter.

Actually they got a brief 1 point lead but the Cavs get it back at the buzzer to have the lead. But at the start of the 4th, the Warriors lost their momentum as they allowed back to back 3's and they were not able to recover and close the gap.

Good win by the Cavs, but it's bad for those who ride on the Warriors playing at home.

Personally, I lost my bet on them.
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock Ethereum ETF Filing on: November 11, 2023, 08:57:55 PM
Same here, I think Bitcoin will have the first Spot ETF approval than Ethereum. I think it's because that it will be the trend setter, I mean Bitcoin is considered the mother of all crypto so it should be obviously the first one to get the approval from the SEC.

Besides, there are also a lot of big entities filing for it, not just BlackRock (although it is the biggest so far).

But I do believed that SEC will approved Bitcoin first before any cryptocurrencies, even Ethereum.

Gary gensler will be more strict about letting the ETH ETF be approved though he already said in one of these statements that ETH is a commodity. It won't be easy for the ETH community but it is true that if the bitcoin ETF gets approved ETH will be as well eventually. There are other big asset managers who filled out the ETH ETF as well but the community is more focused on Blackrock's ETF approval because they think BlackRock has influence over the whitehouse and it is a green light for the whole industry if their ETF gets approved. This is positive news but we should not be overly excited as the market will not go straight upward.

That's why I'm trying to say, BlackRock is not just a ordinary company, it's a trillion asset hedge fund and with that kind of money, we all know that they can have influence on the Whitehouse itself or even some of  the Congress.

So this is just a moot point for Bitcoin, I'm seeing it as being approved for next year because SEC cannot say no to this big entities.

But for ETH, it might be a bumpy road for it as SEC somewhat tag them as commodity, but if I'm not mistaken, they have change their stance.
997  Economy / Speculation / Re: My Best Bitcoin Chart Ever on: November 11, 2023, 11:08:06 AM

And if you want to know my future prediction, it's of $178,000 in Oct-Nov of 2025. Do not sell. All the best!  Wink

Thanks for this, it's also what I have been seeing in my own chart as well a peak price of $180,000 but I don't what to let everyone knows about it. Not that I don't what to, but maybe I will be bashed by members,  Grin

But in any case, you as a very good technical analysis and we have the same price, then it just validate that the chances is good to see that price in 2025 peak and it could be our all time high.

So yeah, with that in mind, I wouldn't sell my stash and continue to save and accumulate as much as I can.
998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone saw mempool right now? Mempool spam on: November 11, 2023, 07:21:28 AM
I managed to get a transaction in with 40 sats byte. If I waited I could of gotten perhaps 25-30 sats byte. Seems it’s starting to level off and most likely by Sunday we can get 10-25 sat transactions going.

You need to make sure you get your transaction in by then because during the London open and especially New York open it will get more and more congested and you will be stuck paying 100 sat byte fees.

Yeah, I also get a transaction at 40 sats/vB, I think that's already a great improvement for us. And it just shows that those spamming the network can't sustain what they are doing (if the intention is to clogged and congest the mempool to make it not reusable for us bitcoin enthusiast).

So let's see, it's starting to normalized so maybe we will go back to like less than 10 sats/VB.

We could wait for it if we are not in a hurry to make any transactions.
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 11, 2023, 06:09:05 AM
The Lakers won against the Suns, cutting the Phoenix winning streak. One key take away again with the Lakers, is that they keep on chasing up games. The Suns put up a good lead however, they weren't able to maintain it and the Lakers will have to make a comeback again.

It's good that everyone contributed here, Austin Reaves and Cam Reddish with his 3 points. Prince didn't score in double digits but he had that attack with a sidesteps to put the lead up to 5 and he also defended KD in this game, specially in the 4th quarter.
