Is anyone else having issues with the mac wallet?

I can't get the wallet to launch.

I have reached out to some mac people and they say that its likely the package files were mixed up.

They advised that I compile from the github source myself, but I am not having much luck with that cause I'm a noob.

anyone care to make a tutorial o step guide for mac, so we could have it when new mac users come looking for info.

That would be much appreciated if someone did that.

In the meantime, however, I am growing more certain that the package files are mixed up in the mac wallet download so really all that is needed is for the dev to recompile the package with the right files. I suppose the dev team will probably just wait and upload a brand new package shortly with an updated wallet version though.

Gosh, you still can't download your Vootcoin wallet. I will get you a customized Mac wallet asap  Grin
Sorry  Kiss

Haha, a customized one?! Yes!

It's not that it won't download. It's that the wallet won't launch. I contacted themightyx and he said it seems like the package files got mixed up and that's why it won't launch, but he was busy busy so didn't offer much more insight than that.

I already sent him pm, he's one of the best Mac dev. He's busy with Premine+ but hopefully he will compile a new Mac wallet for Vootcoin.

hyberboria is just great

Yeah Michael Jackson was ahead of his time with sleeping in one of those.

Another idea to prevent peeking the nitesend transactions would be using encrypted communication. In this case, we could use for example hyperboria (cjdns) technology; combined with sync, that would mean all sync coins would have an own ipv6 address and an encrypted communication link! Nitesend transaction could be collected by sending the offers throught these kind of links, securing them from all peekers. Actually, the whole comunication between peers could be done throught private hyperboria network. I guess it would be better than TOR and vpn together.

Enabling Anonymous Connections to the Vootcoin Network using Tor
Tor is a protocol allowing for online anonymity by directing network connections through a
network composed of over five thousand relays. The Vidalia software allows for connections
via a built in SOCKS proxy.
Using this guide, you can enable Tor for your own Vootcoin wallet.
 Vootcoin:
Step 1: Download the Tor proxy software
Mac OS X – Follow the instructions here: https://www.torproject.org/docs/tor-doc-osx.html.en then
skip to step 5.
Linux – vootcoin.////linux_tor.tar
Windows - vootcoin.////tor_win.zip
Step 2: Unzip the software into an easily accessible folder.
Step 3: Run tor.exe
Step 4: Configure Vootcoin to access the network over the Tor proxy
Go to Settings->Options->Network and fill in “Proxy IP:” with 127.0.0.1 and “Port:” with 9050.
Step 6: You’re done! Restart the Vootcoin client and enjoy anonymous connections to the Vootcoin network.

i did it with mscollec info, that should be in the op when hes gets online.

Tons of potentials with Hyberboria for decentralized network of "nodes" running cjdns software.

what do the P18 and P3 mean?

P stands for Puppet!

The number is the group associated with a particular Puppet Master!!

What method are you using to detect those account?  Scanner?

Here is the announcement: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=590421.msg7550635#msg7550635

However, publicly showing puppet account of people is not cool. I just contacted someone that I saw his puppet usernames. You should have it hidden or just removed it.

What if you were wrong? How are you going to compensate the individual?

I do admit that you have a point! But i would like to hear your explanation, why do you think it is not cool??? And why should we hide it??

I'm not saying that you are wrong, and we won't do it! I'm just curious of your opinion!

And by any means we are not trying to discreditate  someone, we are doing our job! And if the community is agains our way of doing it! We will gladly change the method!

And we are only pointing out the obvious! If wee see the potential of being wrong we don't take the chance of highlighting an innocent person!

Don't they deserve their privacy? Do you consider family members / co-workers account as puppet?

I have seen an account that has no connection to the linked puppet.
