... And he says... "NO, NO, NO. Not for me - I learned my lesson"

No Dumb-Ass... You didn't learn shit! ...

Yes he did. He learned two valuable lessons:

1. Don't invest in something that you don't understand.
2. Don't invest in something just because some random relative tells you to.

Here's my lesson for you:

1. Don't recommend investments to friends or relatives.

This hits the spot.

Don't expect your relatives to always believe what you are saying and follow what you want them to do. They have their own way of thinking so don't expect them to think like you do. Other's will not really understand how Bitcoin works and others will start shouting scam as soon as we start telling them that how we earn them or how we get them. sometimes its even better to introduce Bitcoins to non-relatives than to our relatives.

Are you sure this is not a prediction game? as far as I know you will predict what will be the last digit of the score of both teams. You will not predict on who will win, that is true but still you need to predict the last digit of the score. Example is the game of GSW and LA Clippers last April 16 which is 131 GSW and 135 LA Clippers. Winning number will be 1-5.
Its 5-1 yet as been said that winner would be the always first to be mentioned so its 5.This kind of game is pure luck and I don't see any analysis would be needed
because no one would able to predict the outcome of the end game that's why it would really be just like lottery. The more slots you reserve/pay the high chance of winning
but the odds is way too high.
My bad, I thought the results will be based on how it will be published and not who ever is the winner will be mentioned first.
I know a guy a runs this kind of game and he showed me a trick how he earns from running this game. 25%-30% of the slots are taken already, meaning no one can place a bet on such numbers, they are already reserved to him. The rest of the numbers are open so if the winning number falls in the reserved number, that means no one wins and all bets goes to his pocket.
985  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader for Hire on: April 25, 2019, 11:28:38 PM
Experienced Trader

Hi! I am an experienced trader in crypto, and I have been trading on bitmex and bitfinex for almost 2 years now.
I recently got into trading on Deribit for their option trading. My trading accuracy is around 90% accurate.
I am looking for individuals or groups that are looking to hire someone that can manage their accounts and give them passive profits on their portfolios.

I had an excellent job in one very popular crypto signal platform, and I am the one that brought it to its popularity. But now I am looking to work with myself, and others on this managing project.

FAQ

What type of a trader are you?

I am a swing based trader, I hold trades for over a week usually, and my current trade that i'm in, I've been holding it for 2 weeks almost.

How do you manage my porfolio?

I simply log into your Bitmex/Bitfinex/Deribit account and I start trading on your account.

Can you steal my money?

I cannot, even if I wanted to. With access to your account I cannot withdraw, unless I have access to the email and authentication on your phone. (aka impossible)

Whats your Fee?

I charge 35% on profits made, If a larger individual that wants me managing larger amounts of money, I can reduce that fee greatly.

Keep in mind, I am only looking to work with people that will not run away after I make them profit and then not pay me.
PM me only if you are serious, and have more than 0.2 btc that you can trade with.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask
How about giving us an example of that 90% trading accuracy of yours and post a coin that you think will pump or will have a price increase for about 10%-20% so that we can see if you really have that 90% accuracy. If you really are that good, why didn't you work in big companies where they can take advantage of your talent.

"Please be careful with traders who run private groups, do phone consultations, and sell courses.

Most successful traders are too busy trading, they don't have time to teach.

It would be a distraction."

Saw this tweet just now.

Worth to share to those trading newbies who wants to rely on paid advisors.

Will not go deeper. Hope you got the picture.

(P.S. Credits goes to @BTC_M****. Decided not share the source link as I don't want to promote his Twitter account as owner's other tweets might influence newbies perspectives. But it's quiet easy to search.)
Twitter nowadays runs like Bitcointalk too. You might see or think that they have a lot of followers, there are interactions from another users saying that he is good and he is correct and how accurate his forecast was on this and on that but who knows if he is just talking to himself and just waiting for a newbie to take a bite and subscribe to what he is selling or promoting.

Unfortunately its their site so its their rule that we have to follow. If we want to continue to use their site and they demand us to submit some documents then we have to follow their rules. There are other trading sites there that allows us to use their site without sending those that they requested.

Hello Baryom

Just a little suggestion, maybe dev team can reset the autobet setting if we switch to another game

I ended busted today when switch from multicolor to cara y cruz and didnt check the auto bet setting (still follow the last game auto bet setting)  Cry

Thank you

I tried to duplicate what you did and placed a 0.00001 BTC on blue for multicolor and after a few spins I switched to cara y cruz and the amount that shows up is not 0.00001 BTC but only 0.00000001 BTC which is I guess is the minimum bet for cara y cruz. I suggest that you double check the amount that you entered whenever you switch to another game.

Sorry for misunderstanding

What i mean in autobet setting is percentage in increase on lose (still follow increase on last game multicolor)
Like you said, the base bet works fine. Yes and I didnt check the increase on lose setting

Ok got it. I tried to duplicate what you are trying to say and yes the settings was not reset, it remained from teh previous settings that I also have from cara y cruz to multicolor which is kinda odd why after switching to another game, autobet settings was not changed, I think it should be changed to a default of zero every time we switch to another game.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 149: Overeem vs Oleinik Prediction and Info Thread on: April 25, 2019, 11:02:26 PM
Can't say i expected much from this fight anyway. Yeah overeem won but i don't consider these two as top tier in the heavyweight division. Overeem has seen better days even if his physique still looks awesome. And even during his prime, he didn't have what it takes to dominate a division the way jds, brock and even cain did during their times.
His fight history is not as impressive like other heavyweight champion who dominated the division. Overeem was a contender but someone always pushes him behind the line of contenders to the championship belt. However, props to his striking accuracy which is 70%, I have never seen anyone in the heavyweight division to have such striking accuracy.

The concept is good however I don't think gamblers will care about basketball correct score which is almost impossible to predict and so the casinos have no incentive to add this game to their betting.
This is more like a lottery , some website may come up with a game like that only and ask you to predict all games and if you predict one correctly you get x prize, if two correctly x prize with the top prize being millions of dollars for the one who finds let say 7 correct scores.
No it is not a prediction based game. I know the game. The scores of both team will be broadcasted on radio or on television and I think also in the internet since the game in which the betting will be based is a national game and at the end of the game the result is shown, the winner will be decided. This is a very easy game and here there is no fraud but you cannot be a millionaire in this game though there are  big amount bettings too.
Are you sure this is not a prediction game? as far as I know you will predict what will be the last digit of the score of both teams. I wonder what happened to Gilbert Burns vs. Mike Davis fight, nitrogensports did not include them in the list.
Sad to see Andrei Arlovski being the underdog and not in the main card. He used to be one of the headliners.
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: April 25, 2019, 08:55:26 AM
Looks like this is not going to happen this year as there are reports of a big possibility of a Manny Pacquiao versus Keith Thurman this coming July 20 in Las Vegas. Even if we say Manny Pacquiao is successful in defending his WBA “world” welterweight title, there's not enough room to make way for another fight for 2019 since he needs to rest and train in case Floyd Mayweather decides to take the offer to fight Manny Pacquiao for the second time.

995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PokerStars fined $10,000 on: April 24, 2019, 11:51:30 PM
$10,000 is just peanuts to PokerStars compared to the revenue that they get daily. I believe the New Jersey Department of Gaming Enforcement is just making a statement and showing to other gambling sites that they are monitoring all their moves PokerStars is just unlucky that there we're chosen to be an example.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alvarez vs Jacobs on: April 24, 2019, 11:45:03 PM
The odds for this fight according to Nitrogensports is -382 for Saul Alvarez and +301 for Daniel Jacobs. Saul Alvarez have the edge for this fight but I would place my bet on Daniel Jacobs in hopes for a lucky punch for an upset. Fight record of Saul Alvarez is really impressive, most of his wins are through knock out.
997  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin prophesy has shown up again. Which side would you belong? on: April 24, 2019, 11:24:55 PM
Those who openly predict the price of Bitcoin in the next couple of months or years are entitled to their own opinion and we have the choice to just ignore their opinion or take it as a fact. If any of you plan to listen to them, take a moment to look at their prediction if it is backed by anything like a study, history, and graphs. If there's none, better ignore and move on.
998  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your plan if you bought around all time high? on: April 24, 2019, 11:19:55 PM
I want to ask everyone who got into bitcoin towards the end of 2017 and is currently at a loss, like myself  Sad What will you do when the market goes up and you get your money back. Sell or just keep holding?
For me, more than a year of waiting for the price of Bitcoin to go back to ATH is too long and if you invested that money or Bitcoin in something else, you could have recovered your loss already. I know someone who we're able to recover in 6 months after the price of Bitcoin started to go down starting 2018. He aimed for just 1.5% per day profits on all his investments after selling below his buy price of Bitcoin.
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Capital on: April 24, 2019, 11:14:23 PM
A. EXTRA UNEXPECTED MONEY

-Bonuses which comes from your extra payout in the office or a good Boss
-A present , Maybe birthday present or just an ordinary money giving event.
-Money picked up on the street if you are born super lucky
-Money comes from winning a competition
-Bitcoin or Altcoin's sudden increase

I gamble with most of those listed in A except for "A present , Maybe birthday present or just an ordinary money giving event.". Although I find that money from gifts specially from Birthdays as a Good Luck, I don't use it in gambling but more on business, I invest it in a money generating business like in stock market or buy and sell goods.
