There is no doubt that Graham Potter did a good job, but I don't think that Thomas Tuchel is willing to give him a second chance if he managed Chelsea now. He is going to start playing more effectively in the near future because he has the confidence in himself now that he has received from Chelsea. Additionally, Trevoh Chalobah is aware of the importance of his role for Chelsea and knows that he plays a crucial role. As a result, he will try to prove to Chelsea that he is capable of becoming the type of player that they expect of him.
No I don't think so. Chalobah would have gotten chances under Tuchel still. Main reason why Chalobah is getting chances right now is because the manager doesn't have much options to work out with. If he had better options in that position then Chalobah would be sitting on the bench like last season. Although I do think Chalobah is a great player and has great potential but he needs good amount of experience. Right now all the pieces fall into perfect place for him and he needs to perform and make himself as an indespensable member of the squad.

How did you manage to count Liverpool as people contending to get the remaining 2 spots but yet you didn't count Chelsea's .
Between Liverpool and Chelsea's who is doing well currently. Who is ahead of each other?
I know it is Chelsea, why then did you count them out as contenders for the league title.
It is certainly difficult for Newcastle to easily come down from the top 4 because those guys know what they doing .
They will disgrace some other big teams when the season resumes.

I think it is Liverpool who is ahead of Chelsea but with not much and just only a point. Its hard for Chelsea and Liverpool to be honest but it very much depend on other teams ahead of them on how much consistent they will be and the chances of them being consistent are very high at this point. Still I wouldn't rule Liverpool and Chelsea out of the title race yet.

Argentina vs mexico match will start in around 13 minutes from now and this is the best chance for Argentina to recover from the shocking lose against arabi saudi and prove that they are not ready to leave the world cup for the group stage, i expecte an easy win for Argentina and i will bet on hondicap -1.5
I would like to see the faces of half people in this planet if Argentina lose against Mexico and got kicked out of the World Cup. Obviously this is hard to happen especially that Argentina is better and will play with all its power to get these 3 points.
So far in the group stage, we have only one team that guaranteed a ticket to the next level and it is France, and one team that got kicked and it is Qatar.

There will be lot of shocked faces for sure. It will be hard to gulp down the fact that they got kicked out in group stage if happens. Argentina has too much of quality in their squad and are the heavy favourites to win the World Cup. It is a must win game against Mexico and hope they do at least make it past the group stage.

About France and Qatar, I am not surprised as France are a really good team and Qatar haven't made a quite good impression like other underdogs are doing.

When people talk about Arsenal and winning title race they talk is as if Manchester City is immune to losses. It looks as if it is only Arsenal that cam lose match. But that is very wrong because Manchester City is very beatable by any team. So, I doubt that Manchester City will remain consistent or will even be able to beat Liverpool.
The league race is open to everyone but Arsenal remains the favourites.

Yes, City makes some mistakes still despite being the title holder. They might be consistent but they still drop points in certain gameweeks. If Arsenal maintain better consistency then Arsenal will be giving City a hard time till the end for the title race. Still lot of matches to play and lot of gameweeks to go through so anything can happen. Can understand why they expect City to be at the top again as they have the history of being consistent even though they are behind and come out as a winner by the end. They don't expect to change that but many of us believe that this time Arsenal might have a good shot at the title.

Ten Hag really needs a pure striker to sharpen United's attack line. throughout this season, United have faced problems on the front lines, which lack sharpness. IMO, Cody Gakpo is the most ideal for the Ten Hag style of play. at least Manchester United will compete with Arsenal who are also targeting this PSV striker.

Yeah United desperately does need a reliable striker. Gakpo is a big name now with his form in World Cup and I am sure there will be lot of clubs after him now. He is gonna cost a lot for United if they are to really go after him. I like another name in that list which is Toney. Brentford striker has been the reason behind Bees success and he leads the attack very well. Furthermore he has PL experience as well so I would say bringing Toney will be a very good deal for United.

In the past, Manchester United were also interested in signing De Jong. However, as of right now, I am unsure if it would be a worthwhile idea for Manchester United to go after this player. As of right now, Manchester United are in need of a striker. It is my opinion that they should look for a striker first before moving on to other players. Once a striker has been confirmed, they will have the option to look for a midfielder.

As far as I know, they are also in need of a midfielder at the moment. However, probably not as much as a striker would. Franki de Jong is still being considered as a possible acquisition by the team, which I think is great.

I agree with them lacking a striker but I don't think they need to go after De Jong anymore. They have Eriksen, Fernandes and Casemiro who are putting up good performance in the mid. Apart from that they have Fred and McTominay also who can play in as a defensive mid from the bench. There isn't space for another mid player who usually wants to be in first team picture.

150 million euros might be too much, but according to some rumors, Lazio president Claudio Lotito is adamant about selling Savic for just 100 million euros. this is an offer for Juventus to be able to take savic from Lazio. I think this is a fair price for such a talented player like Savic.
But Juventus also had to give up some of their players to leave because of Savic's arrival at Juventus. some of the candidates who might leave Juventus are Adrien Rabiot, Weston McKennie, and Leandro Paredes.

If this rumor is true then Juventus might be able to match that bid for Savic if they are really interested in him. Although 100 Million will still give Juventus some second thoughts but if they are really interested then they will make this happen in this upcoming transfer window. For them to make space, they will likely be open to sell Rabiot. McKennie and Paredes can still be useful for Juventus but they might be open to selling them as long as there is a right bid.

There's nothing going on with the Netherlands, they're just facing a different opponent. The Ecuadorian team played well last match against Qatar. Ecuador team played well, attacking, playing beautifully.

Yeah this WC, underdogs are really giving the favorites hard time in matches. Today Ecuador also pulled off a shocker but honestly Netherlands still lack a lot despite being the better team. Netherlands don't have a proper striker which is why I think Netherlands struggle frequently. They have great defence and mid but when it comes to scoring they don't have much goalscorers in form right now. Gakpo is the only player who is scoring goals for them but as one of the top football nations, they need to have at least more than a goalscorers in their team when they face other big nations.

How much of a number nine is Memphis Depay ?! As as I can tell, he is more of a winger than a number nine. He's had a Poor run at Manchester United under a Dutch Coach but did he succeed ? Hell No! I still don't think Manchester United needs his service, maybe for the short run but not for a season or more.
He did quite well at French league winning the tittle with Lyon that year, contributed hugely to that trophy as he was amongst players that pushed for it.

Ten Hag should get the right player's, I feel like the midfielder's are doing great but the attacking players are not gelin well enough to score enough goals. Since Antonio Martial isn't Injured can he just be consistent for once ? I hope tonsee tue best of him within the next round.

Yeah he is not a striker at all. Although he had played in that position but winger is his much comfortable position. I also don't think United are thinking about getting him at all. They just need striker, wingers are good with Sancho and Antony but they need someone reliable who can create pressure inside the box and tuck the ball in when there is decent enough chance. Ten Hag can rely on Martial, he still can be useful with scoring goals and creating pressure but team like United needs someone consistent and I don't think Martial can be consistent at all. Maybe he can develop and become consistent in future but right now I don't think he is consistent performer at all.

the mission has changed, Arteta has the ambition to target the league trophy this season as well as target the Europa League trophy. however, often Arsenal's squad is only good for the first half of the season. after the league had resumed, the Gunners' performance experienced a downward trend.

I think last season we did good except for the matches at the end of the season. Yeah its hard to keep up the consistent form but this season feels like different and I think Arsenal have good chance this season to finish better.

well, Arteta knows what he will do to achieve their mission target. that's why Arsenal will bring in several newcomers to strengthen their depth, both core and second-tier players. their targets are clear, the Premier League and Europa League.
I am optimistic, if Arteta really brings in new players in January. Arsenal will continue to appear consistently until the end of this season and win the title.

I think Europa and PL both are equally important for Arsenal. We have decent density in the squad so don't think we need much players. Mykhailo Mudryk is the player heavily linked to Arsenal. Should provide us a good option as a winger but I doubt he will get much time if he comes as long as Martinelli is there. It will be interesting to see what Arsenal has in mind in this upcoming transfer window.

I'm waiting for how strong Arsenal and Manchester City especially will return from the World Cup break.
My biggest hope for my favourite Arsenal is that none of our key players currently representing their country in the world cup will return with injuries because that will be a problem to us going forward to maintain our lead in the EPL. We do not have replacements as Manchester city does, so even if some of their players representing their respective countries are injured, it will not seriously affect their campaign, even their star striker Halaand is having enough time to rest, unlike Most of our attackers who are currently representing their countries and their National teams have even been tipped as teams that will go far, that means they will play a lot and may likely return Fatigued.

It will be hard for us if our players get injured especially in attack line like Saka, Martinelli, Jesus who have been crucial behind Arsenal's success this season so far. Although we do have options but obviously will lack the quality and form that we are having right now with these three. With 5 points between us and City we obviously don't want to lose our momentum and lose our lead on the table.

The lead for Ghana did not last long. Andre from ghana leveled the score at 73 min of the game. As soon as he left the field, Feilx scored the 2nd goal for Portugal. The joy for Ghana did not last long as Rafael scored another goal from Portugal making the lead 3-1. Osman scored the 2nd goal for Ghana in the 89th minute but it was too late for Ghana.

Portugal did win the match but I must say that Ghana is one of the weakest African teams, showed some good potential, and give a good fight to the stong Portugal team.

Danilo at the centre isn't really a good choice. At the end he was kind of sloppy and should have done better in defence in that 2nd goal. Ghana played great with the comeback and the second goal near the end. They almost had Portugal but Portugal won in the end. Honestly was surprised to see such sloppy defending from Portugal today. It was tough scoring against Ghana yet they conceded goals so cheaply.

Portugal need to strengthen their defence especially at the ending minutes if they hope to see the quarters.

The latest news comes from Lazio player Sergej Milinkovic-Savic who currently prefers to move to Juventus over Manchester United.
It was reported that Sergej Milinkovic-Savic had agreed to move to Juventus and had several meetings with Juventus. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has reached an agreement with Juventus with a 5-year contract and will be given a salary of 5 million Euros/year.
Apart from that, Manchester United also intends to reach an agreement with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and still has the possibility to corner Juventus if Manchester United dares to pay more than the salary given by Juventus.

But the decision rests with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and he remains determined to sign for Juventus.

I can understand why he is choosing Juventus over United and seems to have come into agreement with personal terms as well but the big question now still remains if Juventus will be willing to break the bid set by Lazio for the player. Lazio director rates him as an important player and they will only let him go if someone matches the bid of 150m Euros. It will be interesting to see if they are ready to make that bid or maybe negotiate with Lazio but I doubt that Lazio will settle for much less than that.

For the people who think that Newcastle can join the race to sign Ronaldo, I would like to share this news:

https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-newcastle-united-snub-cristiano-ronaldo-after-16m-late-night-development/

On this source, it is said that Newcastle have no interest in bringing Ronaldo to the team in January. I was surprised to hear about this when I first read it truthfully. Because Newcastle don't have any budget issues as you know. They can buy whatever player they want theoretically. Maybe they didn't want this because of having many strikers in the squad already. They must be happy with Wilson's scoring performance as well. But we are still talking about a legend like Ronaldo. I think it would be better for them to have him in the squad and sell the worst striker in the team currently.

Apart from that we don't know how much Ronaldo would be eager to go there as well. I guess that he wouldn't be eager so much because of Newcastle's not being part of the Champions League.

I think it is because they already have enough strikers in the squad. Remember they have 3 strikers and bringing Ronaldo will make 4 strikers in the squad. Out of these strikers, 2 of them costed them a little over 100m Euros - Chris Wood (35m) and Alexander Isak (70m). Now Ronaldo is a free agent but unless they sell any of these players I don't think they will go after Ronaldo at all. Selling these strikers will be hard unless Newcastle are willing to take a loss. Chris Wood was nowhere around 35m when Newcastle bought him and it will be very hard to get any kind of interest from other clubs on him. For Isak and Wilson, I don't think Newcastle will be planning to sell them anytime soon. If they are to bring Ronaldo as 4th striker, then it will create a problem with proper game time for other strikers.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 23, 2022, 06:25:04 PM
Cristiano Ronaldo is really being disrespected by Manchester United. Thus, if Cristiano Ronaldo does not have the opportunity to play as they are then Cristiano Ronaldo's future will not be good. For this, Ronaldo needs to join another good club that wants him.
Todd wants him but potter didn't want him to go to the chelsea and that can be said if chelsea was also rejecting him as well. Some clubs were confirming about they didn't need him. There are even so many speculations about him.
It seems like that the transfer agent of ronaldo was also feeling so difficult to find a new club with him. It's better if he would be decreasing his salary to make sure a new team can afford to pay his salary once he was moving to the new club.
That will be far better. Im sure ronaldo can get a new club as soon as possible if he will not try to put high salary for his service.

I think he will have good amount of offers to play for without reducing salary. The thing is what his priorities are right now. Likely is that he will need to take a steep cut in his salary to get some interest from European clubs but I think he can still get good salary offers if he plays for club outside Europe. I think his priorities are to play in any of the top European leagues so likely is that he will have to adjust a little. I think in 1-2 months we will see from which club he will play next.

997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 20, 2022, 06:28:39 PM
Mane was very unlucky, he didn't have so many long-term injuries at Liverpool and when it was expected that playing in the Bundesliga where apparently is not as aggressive as in the Premier League he would stay without injuries for a long time, I was wrong, he was unlucky to have prolonged injury. bayern will have no other choice, they will have to look for another good player who scores goals, i think bayer should bring Harry Kane from tottenham, he is a great player who would no doubt score a lot of goals for bayern

Mane injury news was kinda sad especially ahead of WC. I also haven't seen him get that much injured at Liverpool. The longest he was sidelined was for 87 days according to : https://www.transfermarkt.com/sadio-mane/verletzungen/spieler/200512 in 2016-17 season (Liverpool).

It wouldn't be easy for Bayern to bring Kane from Spurs. He is indespensable member of the squad currently and as long as he is considered that inside Spurs, I don't think they are gonna accept any offers for Kane. I think Kane also wants to stay at Spurs. There is always discussion about his achievements with the club but I think he still believes he can still get something at Spurs.

This year, Arsenal is tough and already got 5 points ahead in the lead over Manchester.

The competition will be fierce as I still believe Manchester will overcome Arsenal in a few rounds. Even though Arsenal is in the lead, in statistical terms, Manchester seems to be more consistent and maintains a superior goal average.

I guess Arsenal will fall at a certain point and Manchester's consistency will have the best. That said, my bet goes to Manchester to win this season's premiership

Can understand backing City given the quality they possess inside their squad and how consistent they have been in earlier seasons. I think this season they haven't been their best. There were certain games were they conceded the goals first and just managed to win the game with a goal in ending minutes. They dropped points against Fulham even after having such a dominating display in terms of possession and shots. I think City before WC were not as solid as they usually are.

Arsenal just needs to maintain that gap. They have lot of big games to play but they have played won all those big games and handled the pressure. Hope they will continue the same run after the WC.
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 20, 2022, 05:23:26 PM
It seems that Qatar is only hosting the FIFA WORLD CUP at the moment. We see their game seems unprepared as the host. Qatar played very badly, no skill shown. Very low pass accuracy. This is bad for the host.
If you look at the current match, it may be very difficult to get points for the hosts.
With Qatar current performance, I don't think they are going anywhere in world cup, their performance is very weak, they are not coordinated, they don't even have any short off target yet, I believe Ecuador is still going to score more goals in  second half. I think Ecuador coach should substitute Valencia because I notice they are trying to injure him, since they are already leading with two goals, they should just reserve him for their next match.

I already turned away from the match watching their weak attacks and defence. No doubt Ecuador are leading and I now think Qatar will hardly be able to get a point if they play like this. They are losing too much of possession easily and are having hard time facing Ecuador's attacks. Senegal and Netherlands have even better squad than Ecuador so I don't think Qatar will be able to get any points here. With 2-0 lead for Ecuador seems like pretty done deal for the first game now already as I don't expect Qatar to be back into the game.

Senegal vs Netherlands should be an interesting one tomorrow but Netherlands have too much of quality so I think Netherlands will easily beat them in tomorrow's fixture.

Alejandro Garnacho seems close to a rise in his salary now. He is making 5k pounds per week now and with the rise it is expected to be like 50k pounds per week. It is quite a big rise truthfully. After starting to have chances in the lineup and making use of those in a nice way, he is starting to be in the forefront. He is really talented seemingly and Manchester United shouldn't let him waste his potential. They already need some new players to get stronger. Garnacho is still very young but he can contribute nicely as long as he continues to develop his game.

Manchester United always like to try some new youngsters like this and I always support this. As long as that player is talented he deserves a chance to prove himself.

Garnacho is a great talent and I am not surprised as given the interest he has been getting lately. Lot of clubs are keeping him under their radar and United just wants to keep them by giving him better contract with a significant rise and tie him with the club for a long term. He still has lot of years ahead of him and can develop really well at United especially when United desperately need some sharp attacking options.
